The message from this number was 3 minutes and 22 seconds. For all but the last few seconds, instrumental music was played. The last few seconds was a woman saying, "Hello?" and then hanging up. The caller ID stated the number belongs to "Monroe Towns NJ" which I can only assume is Monroe Township near Jamesburg.
My mortgage payment is NOT late. Never is. This is the second month they've decided to call me over and over again. This is what happened last month: I didn't answer the phone the first time they called, but instead called the number back. The woman I got on the phone checked my account and saw that I wasn't late, made a note in my account, and we called it a day. A few days later, they called me again. I did the same thing where I called back. This time I got a man who also checked my account to see that I was not late. I gave him the transaction number of my payment, which he noted in my account. He also told me he would place a "do not call" on my account. I thanked him, and thought that was the end of it. Later that very same day, I got another call from Chase. This time I picked up. It was some man who insisted I owed money. He refused to check my account (or he was looking but refused to read what the other two customer service people wrote in the notes). Whenever I tried to explain what had already happened, he talked over me. I got fed up and asked to speak with his supervisor. He said, "Why?" I replied, "Because I asked to speak with your supervisor." This back and forth continued a few times until I finally just said, "I don't need to be abused like this." Then I hung up and called back to get another customer service rep. This time I got hold of a very helpful woman who took care of everything. It was the last call I received... UNTIL TODAY!!!!
If I knew all those years ago that having my mortgage with Chase would cause me to be harassed this much, I never would have done it.
You say they stop calling when you've paid your bill. This is bull$&!%. I paid this month, and they still continue to call... Which is fine, because they will continue to get my voicemail until they give up. Either that, or I will start picking up/hanging up on them until they get the point....
"calls on 4/21/09 at 7:19 pm and 4/20/09 at 6:16 pm... ON MY CELL PHONE!!!!! How rude"
and AGAIN on 4/26... who the F&*% are they? And why are they calling my cell?
calls on 4/21/09 at 7:19 pm and 4/20/09 at 6:16 pm... ON MY CELL PHONE!!!!! How rude.
called 4/16/09 at 8:30 pm and 4/22/09 at 7:31 pm... ON MY CELL PHONE!!!!!!
and left no message.
whoever this jacka$$ is called my cell phone... MY CELL PHONE!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
again with a promo call - complimentary room in the month of April, and discounted show tickets
They've been calling my house every 45 minutes or so... and I paid my bill. Yes, I understand they have a job to do, but when the right hand and the left hand don't communicate, it doesn't make it okay for both those hands to be shoved up my a**. They need to check their records, as I know they can. The get real time notices from their online payment system when someone makes a payment. I know this for a fact as I was having difficulty one time with the system and had to call their customer support. When my payment went through on my side, they saw it go through on their side. So it's a bunch of BS for customer support to continue calling my home long after I've made a payment.
Second phone call from this number. But something interesting I found... early this morning I got a call from another phone number 410-774-8401. When I researched this number on whocalled.us (find the information here: whocalled.us), I found a similar description given in the "comments". Both phone numbers have happened after taking one of those "surveys". Maybe this information will help the next person...
8:15 in the friggin morning... are you kidding me? If the phone rings again from these people today, as I am sure it just might as I've been reading other people's responses, they will get an earful. Why would anyone in their right mind get a job in this kind of call center? They honestly must have IQ's measurable on a standard ruler. Who else with a normal shred of intelligence thinks that calling people blindly knowing it will irritate approximately 80% (or more) of the population is a good choice of careers?
Well, I guess they needed a place for the people who couldn't flip a burger to work.
It's funny that R.C. had mentioned the game "mobsters", as facebook has a similar game "Mafia". And my phone rang almost 2 minutes after I looked at a free offer for points...
quote from R.C. : "Filled out this online survey for free points and got a call the next day from this number ..."
I didn't answer the phone, but I am sure this is similar. Why did they wait a day to call you, but called me within minutes?
No message here, and my Verizon Wireless contract expiration date was changed to November or something like that (used to be April). So, if this information has been outsourced, they have an old data file.
Screw 'em if they won't leave a message. I don't know what I want to do when my contract expires... But they can certainly help me make up my mind.
No republicans in my house... and no one with any money, either... so they are definitely barking up the wrong tree if it is indeed the RNC. Couldn't tell you since they didn't have the balls to leave a message.
Promo call from the AC Hilton - for complimentary show tickets this time...

All those calls, and they finally got it in their pea sized brains to call after 5pm...
No one was home, but they still finally called after 5 :)

So they purposefully call when people are at WORK... Either they lack brains or they enjoy talking to voicemail.
This was HSBC calling with fraud information for the owner of the account. Funny thing was that the owner of the account does not live at my address and couldn't have my phone number. I called them back to clear it up. I was put on hold for 8 minutes while they "removed my number from the account".
In addition to the other day, these morons called my cellphone three more times this morning: 8:31, 8:42, and 8:54. They left no message.
They called my cellphone and left no message. I don't have a USAirways MasterCard, nor do I do business with USAirways. So why are they calling my cellphone?
It was the Avenue clothing stores with a recording about a sale.

3. Incredible amounts of noise and feedback.
For the record - I pay my bills.
Left no message.
The message stated that someone must love us because they are sending us a gift from Omaha Steaks, and what date to be expecting the shipment.
This call was a pre-recorded advertisement for a sale at the Avenue.
"Hello, I am calling from the Loyaltly Research Center and we're doing a survey for your local grocery store, are you willing to participate?" This was from call #3. Call #1 was a hang-up. Calls #2 and 4 asked specifically for my husband by name. And call #5 was an odd sounding beep. They will continue to get my answering machine, so give up.
No message. No idea...
