The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number,
All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

If in fact this is a charity, they fall into a catagory of callers allowed to call under the DNC registry. There should be regulations put in place that make it mandatory that these callers identify themselves on caller ID. As long as it says unavailable on caller ID then they won't be getting an answer at my number, especially if they can't leave a message.
Whoever this is, has been blowing up my phone multiple times a day for several days now. I picked up and hung up, and just picked up and sat there with no response until after a few seconds the call disconnected. There's got to be something that can be done about this. Seems like a rash of these unwanted calls coming to my cell number here lately and I'm not too happy about it. The other caller is unknown with no available number, so what can you do about that... others are just a four digit number such as 1117 or similar.
After receiving no messages from too many calls to count, over who knows how long... I called the number back... it is HSBC calling to sell you something. An automated answering device allows you to choose option 2 and have your number removed from their telemarketers list... but states that it could take up to 60 days to process the request. Hopefully these annoying calls end soon, now on to another nuisance caller.
ID read 1117, received on my cell number... No message, No Idea... If they can't leave a message then I'm pretty sure I don't care too much about whatever they would have had to say. This only one of several similar numbers received recently by my cell number.

Unrecognized number, didn't pick up, did leave message about debt collection inquiry on my ex... barking up the wrong tree, we've been divorced for 14 years.

Another unknown number and no message. I never answer numbers that I don't recognize, and if they don't feel the need to leave a message, then they won't get called back. Must not be too important!

No ID, No Message, No Idea... There should be a law against callers who don't leave messages!!! But I suppose the reason they do not leave messages is because nobody would call back.
Also refuse to answer unrecognizable numbers or Id's. Answering machine picked up this number this morning without a message left. However, I have received two seperate phone book deliveries this week.
Area code is for California, repeated calls over a short period of time, no message left... Since I only know one person in California and they really have no reason to call me from a doctors office, I doubt seriously that this call is of any interest to me...
