The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

warentysales calls from 1 phone numbers:
I receive two calls day from these idiots...always one in the morning and 1 in the evening....even on Sundays. Haven't they figured it out....that I will never pick up this call.
These people called me today, and they tried to get me hard. But I'm no fool, I mess with crooked people on a daily basis. I just hope no one actually fall for this sh#t. A man by the name of Drew called me, and I told him to give me his web address and this sh#t comes up. (Thank Goodness)
People Watch Out. They are out there tryin to TAKE our hard earned money.
Call came in to my cell phone, which only shows the incoming #. I answered, realized it was a telemarketing robo-call, and immediately hung up.
This is one of many, many, many unwanted calls my husband and I receive on a daily basis. It seems that as our ecomomy worsens, these people become more rude! Any phone company will let you block up to 12 numbers without charging. However as we are all aware, scum scammers like these people have 20 or more trunk line PBX switchboards and will only call you from a different number. I finally contacted my carrier (Verizon) and placed a service called "call intercept". I won't go into detail but it has been amazing. Here's the short verison for anyone interested: If a caller attempts to reach my phone and the caller ID is Private, Unknown, Out of Area, Unavailable etc... my phone won't even ring. A recorded message plays to the caller stating that the number they are trying to reach has "call intercept" and asks the caller to identify themselves and the company they are calling from. Only after the requested information has been provided will my phone ring with a special ring - kind of a "ring, ring" in rapid session. This ring type lets me know that it is a call intercept. I can choose to pick-up the phone and listen to who the caller is at which time I have 5 options; 1)take the call 2)block the call sorry, I've never gotten past yes or no so I'm not sure what the other options are. If I am not home to answer the call intercept, the call will go to my voice mail. I have found that once these scammers here the words call intercept, they hang up and the greatest part.... I never even hear my phone ring!
It's not free but the $5 Verison charges me is so worth not having to deal with the harrasment. It's worth a try for those of you out here that are or should I say "were" sick and tired of the rude, mean pushy people call everyday regarless of the time of day. Being nice to these people doesn't work - but trust me call intercept did the job for us.
p.s: I don't not work for Verison or any other phone service - just in case anyone thought I was trying to sell you a service ;)
They called me today with the same shit.I don't have a car,I walk also. They treid calling me a fews months ago with a different number saying the same shit. Can someone please knock these people out.
These f~ckers are going directly in my Selective Call Forwarding list (thanks AT&T). When they call, they will be forwarded directly to another telemarketer who pissed me off. And my phone won't even ring. It's like killing two f~ckers with one stone.
Just in case they try to catch you "off guard" asking you "what type of legs you have" tell them " ONE RIGHT AND ONE LEFT > > THE ONES I WAS BORN WITH". > > ANY WARRENTY FOR THIS TYPE OF TRANSPORTATION? ? ?
Let me inform ALL OF YOU what I did yesterday & will do everytime they call until they can catch on, as stupid as they are. I got a phone call from these people using another #. To speak to a live person, I pressed 2 and waited. When this person came on ( I think his name was William )he asked what kind of car I had & did I want to Insure it? I told him "there seems to be a problem." He asked why. I asked him what type of insurance they had & if they insured "LEGS". He replied "LEGS"! I told him yes "LEGS". He asked me what I was talking about. I told him this is where the problem is. He asked what. I told him " i walk eveywhere I go & unless you insure legs by warrenty then there is a problem". He stated to me "are you saying you don't have a vehicle?" I told him " I walk everywhere I go & unless LEGS were under warrenty then it would not be any good for me". He hung up bumfuzzled! !
Try it but don't laugh. BE VERY SERIOUS so they will think you are talking about a vehicle without giving them ANY personal information.
An automated dialer called and said that my vehicle warranty was about to expire. I was offered an option to extend/renew the warrenty. I do not have a vehicle.
some Indian woman called. I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the area code. I called it back and a recorded message came on. It said "the number you are calling from is (xxx-xxx-xxxx)and read my phone number to me. It said if you would like to have this number moved, press 1, if you would like to move another number press 2. I hung up immediately because I did not know what it was and I didn't want it to unactivate my phone number or something. I got a call from the same number a week later. I didn't answer it.
received a called and missed it from 757 990 8981 so i called back and it is some recording saying the number you called from to be removed press 1 so i did and it came back with your number has been removed. will make report today to the fcc. THIS MUST BE A SCAM!
BEWARE! I never answer the phone when Caller ID registers as "unknown." But this one registered as "Cellular Call," so I picked it up. When I heard a computer generated voice telling me to hold on while it looked up my info, I hung up. Then I looked the number up on whocalled.us and read some of the sad stories associated with this number. Read on.
No message left
Someone really needs to pull the plug on the computer caller. I certainly wish I could. I'm sick and tired of this stupid computer calling my job two to three times a day. It tells you to dial #1 to speak to a representative. The the computer comes back and says it cant do it at this time. It should be law against this. Someone please help!
They do not leave a message. They call at night and during the day
I do not recognize this number and they do not leave a message.
Make these people from warranty service quit calling
left a message on my cell phone
Did not leave a voice mail message.
They put me on hold & I hung up
Recorded message that sounds like a real rep - something like "We want to review your vehicle warranty - please hold", then options to press to speak with someone. BS vehicle warranty scam.
they call me every morning! ususally when i answer there is dead air. today it said i can lower my interst on my credit cards if i pay 10% or more-push 1 to talk to someone. i pushed one and a seemingly nice older lady told me they work with ALL banks and they can lower it for people paying over 10%! she said she needed to call and verify with one card that it is in good standing and then she would xfer me to a financial rep! i kept asking her questions-and told her i wasnt comfortable giving her my card numbner and she gave me this speech about how i am protected by the government for fraudulent activity! i was about to do it! then i hung up!! thank god!!! i hope the 30 seconds thing isnt true though!! scary!! they need to be stopped!!!
Ok people here is a major heads up! put the # into this search
it will come back to this company www.nationsline.com they mask the incoming # for crimals, who are placing taps on your phone lines, they must keep you on the line for 30 seconds or more, the call for various reasons car warranties, invited to clubs, local voting, and sometimes they have a pre recorded messages say " sorry I have the wrong #" all is 30 seconds or more! Verizon is one of the major companies gets spammed. If you have verizon as your carrier CHANGE!!! Theses dirtbags will tap into your phone lines hoping to gain your personal information such as bank information and credit card info, trust me I know!! It happened to me! Making reports to local police, FCC, FTC does not help because these slimeball are in other counties!!! They may also call you from different #s with different area codes! and if you think by not picking up your phone will help, they wait until your not home wait for your answering machine to pick up..they let it play out gaining the 30 seconds they need!
As usual, I let it go to the answering machine. They hung up.
If you need further proof of their fraudulent nature, read the following, which was posted on another site by one of their victims. Let's stop these guys!
I am so STUPID!!!! I received a call from this number (757-990-8918). I'm sure this call has been made to my home several times before. I actually answered the call tonight (3/16/09), it was an automated system telling me they could lower my interest rate on my home mortgage with the new goverenment approved HFA loans. "Press 1 if intersted, press 2 if not interested." I actually pressed 1. I usually never respond to these calls. A guy named Ron took information from me---including my husband's social security number---(I know...STUPID!!!), I was chasing after kids at the time and not thinking--as I have never done this before. The guy sounded legit, took my mortgage info, social #, home address, asked if we ever filed bankruptcy, what our current interest rate is, our property taxes, etc..NO bank account info was ever divulged--he sounded legit,as I have inquired about lowering our rate over a year ago through our current lender, then he said he would process the information to see if we could qualify for a lower interest rate and he would call me back tomorrow morning at 9AM. I redialed the number from my caller ID and it stated "the number you are calling has been diconnected or no longer in service." Under normal circumstances I would have asked the guy for his number before hanging up with him.I truly HOPE TO GOD I did not just get scammed.
I copied and pasted the following information from another site I found on-line. I believe this is the same company, but they change addresses and phone numbers frequently to avoid detection. These people need to be stopped!!! Their new address is 1868 N. University Dr. Ste. 304, Plantation, FL 33322-4129 Phone 954-423-3700. What I found is a testimonial from a former worker who was sickened by their faudulent practices. Read it, get angry, and do something!!!
Extended Auto Warranty Is a Scam

I use to work for the auto warranty company in Plantation,Fl you are correct about the scam. They make about $250,000 a week in deals scaming elderly people. They purposely target older individuals because of vulnerability. I quit because the environment was completely unprofessional, there are no backround checks for employees, there are convicted felons who have disclosed to me that they steal credit card numbers and information from individuals.
I was absolutely shocked how they taught us in training how to treat customers. We were told to hang up if they ask for a supervisor, curse them out if they get upset, and lie to them saying we are going to take there name off the list.
I only stayed for a week. I'm an honest person and it was unbearable hearing people as old as 93 begging and pleading for the phone calls to stop. I'm going to inform my local tv station, this place needs to be shut down. We read from scripts, lying about how long we have been in business and that we are affilated with numerous manufactors and dealerships nationwide and in Canada. We even have to lie about what we cover for people's cars.
Its an auto dialer system, we don't have anyone's phone number, what they make us do is look at your telephone number when it comes through and look it up on white pages.com.
They tell us to sell urgency, to lie and tell the customer that your manufactor and dealer of your vehicle informed us that your warranty has expired and that this your last and final call(which it isn't). $50 bucks a deal. When people try to cancel
they still charge their credit cards.
They won't sell to anyone in Florida because they fear being found. Even the number is bogus, for Miami the only area code being used are 954, 305, 754, and 561.
The quality of people, services offered, and that sense of urgency is bogus!!! Please people be smart, if you want an extended warranty speak with your dealership first because I quit this job because of the obvious scam we were taught to do to innocent people. If you see this information on your phone RUN!!!!!
PHONE NUMBER: 313-692-7192
Google "extended warranty, Plantation, FL" and read the information given from a former employee of these jerks. She says they prey upon elderly people who give them information after being lied to. I am angrier than ever after reading this stuff.
The person who listed Extended Warranty as the offending caller is correct. Their address is:
1868 N. University Dr. Ste. 307
Plantation, FL 33322-4129
Phone Number: (954)423-3700
Call them and ask to be removed from their calling list. Also research the complaints on the internet. Believe me, there are PLENTY!!! These people need to be stopped. I filed a complaint with the FCC. I've also visited the killthecalls.com web-site and am considering legal action. Let's make a difference, people! We have been abused by these folks long enough. Band together and stop them.
they called 4 times today i've had it. i filed a complaint with the national do not call list, the fcc and they still call. finally icalled my phone company and said i was going to drop my land line and just use my cell. they said first try when they call dial star 77 and follow the prompts to block the call it better work or if everybody in the U.S. says they will drop there land line maybe something will be done.

Called my cell phone. Hung up as soon as I answered. No clue who it is, what they want or how to handle it.
Well it's escalating since I asked to be taken off their list. I've gone from 3 - 4 calls a week to 2 - 3 calls a day. I have been getting calls since last July from these jerks. I've filed with the FCC and placed a complaint on the Do not call register but these appear to be totally ineffective. Not really sure what we can do.
I get about 2 - 3 calls per day from this number. When I answer, it's some recorded garbage about my credit card. If I select "speak to a live representative" option, the line goes dead. If I select "be removed from this number" option, obviously nothing happens. If I don't answer, then it leaves a silent voice mail message, which I later have to delete. I am extremely annoyed. I have filed about 3 - 4 complaints with the FCC and have gotten back acknowledgment notices. I encourage everyone to file complaints, and perhaps something will be done. It's very easy to file a "consumer complaint" online: www.fcc.gov
I have received over 20 calls from this number and have asked at least 15 times to have my number removed. I just received 2 calls within 10 minutes. On another website I saw where someone had filed complaints with the FCC and the police dept of Temperenceville, VA, which is where this number is registered. Some phone companies can block the number, mine doesn't. These people can be sued, so I guess that's the direction I'm heading to get them to stop calling.
04/27/2009 - They have called again today. I have selected the option to take me off their call list. That obviously didn't work. I can't even block that number through my telephone service. That's useless too.
This call was from a vehicle warranty rip-off company. I asked how they got my name and they could not answer. I asked to be transferred to someone about privacy and they hung up on me.
This call came in offering to lower my interest rate on my credit cards. Caller informed me they had been monitoring my credit cards and had all my information, ut needed one credit card number to verify so they could begin the process of lowering my rates. When I questioned her, she hung up.
I get these stupid calls also. I just like ring and go into voice mail. I also have dialed number 3 for don't call list. All they do is not to use that number for us. sSo they have another person to call. I have Asked C.S person to take me off there call list. They hang up on me. I hope some one will do something in Virgina. Next I will go to the A. G. of that that state,
I got this call on 04/23/09, I called it back and they repeated my phone number on a recording saying my phone number and is it the one I want removed. I stated yes and they said it is removed.
No message left on answering machine. The caller ID show the phone number of 757-990-8981 abd also Sales Dept
I tried making complaint to FTC.gov and it forwarded me to www.donotcall.gov I made my complaint. I think we should all make complaints and tell them that we will contact Fox News to let them know the Government is not doing anything about it.
I have messages on my answering machine, from Stacy, from this automated machine, that If I dial 1 I can talk to someone about lowering my interest rates, or if I dial 3 I will be taken off the list.. Then, I did answer the phone a couple of times to this same crock of S**T and I did dial 3, but I've been called back 3 more times, so I dialed 1, waited, got someone and complained that I'd been called by them 6 times this week and she hung up one me! I like some ideas you have pitched, here..
Guess I gotta learn to play the game..heckle them!
want me to call them regarding an urgent issue with my CC.
Also...when the robo message says press 1 to talk to human cattle or press 9 to remove from list....If you press 9 (or whatever#) you will have transfered your number to another telemarker system, which the first one will get a kickback for it(money God).Beheading always cures the problem.
Another lazy mammel to behead....Lazy office punks..get a real job.
i think i might have a name and number for these jokers who call every day. i went through my fake name and numbers speal. at the end iasked her if i wasted enough of her time like they do every day when they call and hung up on her . she must have been mad she called right back and hung up on me. caller id was different than the last 4987 calls. 321-397-9560 nuvox communications. i tried calling right and got a busy signal.

I tried calling back this number becuase it had the same area code for my grand father in Cheasapeke VA area and the recorded message said the number was disconnected. They then called me back 5 minutes later.
Well, guess hitting "2" didn't stop the calls because I just got another one.
"We've tried to contact you by mail. Your car warranty is about to expire..." Guess there's about 50 companies that use this number & they all are robo-callers. At least the ones I've gotten.
they call every day sometimes twice. im on the national do not call list. i insulted them, tried being nice they still call. finally i got a pen and paper and made up a fake name street address area code, 16 digit card#,ssn, experation date, works great you can waste there time for at least 10 min. till they finally catch on. now i've got them hanging up on me. take that assholes
Auto caller, said it was "Rachel" calling about credit card services. I pressed 2 to be removed from the list.
They're calling us through a number that is a holdover from a company we bought 6 years ago. They said we were removed, we'll see.
when I got the call,no one was on the line. This is really annoying.
I have recieved these calls for months. No legitimate numbers show. The fix, make it a federal offence to use a false phone number and for a commercial operation to use a blocked ID.
they call at least twice a day....every day. i also get a hang up when i pick up the phone and when we get a msg..there is no valid # to call.
Company selling loans. Then a light bulb lite up. So I called them. The company went belly. Number is disconnected.
This is a CitiCorp Company That wants to sell loans.
These people called again today. I yelled at the guy who answered and then I remembered that we are on the Do Not Call list. I filed a complaint with them.
These people call three times yesterday, I pressed #2 to discontinue these calls, but they called today and I pressed #1 and then I screamed at the person at the other end to stop the calls.
they say it is to lower your interest rates or you can hit #2 to take your number off there list i have done that at least 12 times finally i hit number 1 to tell them to quit calling and the minute i said that they hung up on me and you can not call the number back
Last entry 2009-04-07 22:42:15 UTC - my last entry indicated that I heard the recording that my phone number would be removed. Then why am I making another entry today. Need to get me one of those pocket horns.
I called 954-423-3700 and asked to speak to a manager. When I refused to give my name, she said I couldn't talk to a manager and hung up on me. I called back and got my phone # removed. funny thing was, she refused to give her name, just said she was the front desk receptionist. I hope I got taken off the right list. the # calling me was 757-990-8981 and was "disconnected and no longer in service when I tried to call them back.
Called at work & wanted to activate our Quickbooks warranty. We don't use Quickbooks & never have used Quickbooks here at the office.
You could press 2 to be removed. Pressed 2, got a message that said "PHONE NUMBER- has been removed." Exactly like that, "PHONE NUMBER has been removed."
We'll see. From the responses here it sounds like they'll just be calling back with some other scam garbage.
V- That's a good idea. LOL. I doubt those scum bags have an "office".
Those assholes called again today. I filed a complaint with the FTC and the FTT.
Good advice mdl, but they hang up when my answering machine picks up. I've also tried picking the phone up when they have called, which is daily, and the line goes dead. Other times I get some long winded spiel recording. Of course you can't call that # back because they've got it set up that's it's been disconnected.
they have been calling me as well, if you go along with them and then ask them what company they are with ,they hang up.So after a while I played a game with them and that is to see how much of their time I can take up, and then at the end I asked if they enjoy me wasting their time.
I havent been called back since
These assholes keep calling over and over. What a bunch of scamming low life's. I hope soon that all "telescammers" will be banned from calling people who don't want to listen to their annoying phone calls. What happened with the "Do not call" registry?? I am sick and fed up with all these intrusive scamming calls. The all say "unknown" or Unavailable, and the phone number can't be called back because it always says "disconnected"
This number appeared on my Caller ID, I hit redial and it stated that his number was disconnected and no longer in service, etc.
tried getting me to sign up with another CC, when I said no they told me my other card will be cancelled if I dont go with theirs. Told them I was calling the police and they hung up.
they call about 8 times a day.........i pressed 1 to connect to a rep to let him kindly know i wasm on the do not call list and not to call...he cursed at me and hung up. when i tried calling back to give him a piece of my mind, it says its disconnected. so i found this site, and noticed a number to call if youre having problems..well i spoke to a lady who said she would get it taken care of
I received the same Warranty call. Appears this has been going on for some time and nothing has changed.
warranty dep they keep calling my cell I push 2 to remove but they never remove my number they keep calling
Someone should walk into their offices and just start blowing people away. I think that might get them to stop.
When the Allied American Warranty Company in Florida, called me for the umpteenth time, I played along until I got the name of the company and where they are located. Then when I said that I was a senior citizen, they poured on the heat like the hounds of hell were after them..........I offered to pay the full amount with a cashiers check.....they said NO we only take credit cards. Then the guy, "John Anthony", the so-caled manager said "I don't understand what is holding you back"......I said "It's my money and I will decide how and when to spend it".......and with that choke-hold, he gave up......I suggest that we all stay on the phone and hassle them until THEY go nuts, instead of us. Play their silly game......you can win.....heheheh PS: I also filed a Residential Telephone Line Complaint with the FCC...the form is on-line. Let's all file and bury these jerks with official complaints!!!!
They continue to call. I finally spoke to them and asked the woman to stop calling and she hung up on me. Is there anything I can do. These people are annoying and won't stop.
First of all, we live in OR. These people are RUDE and call constantly! My mom got a call from them yesterday, SHE PRESSED #1 to talk to someone, she talked to "Whitney", when she asked to be removed little miss whitney told her "WE CANT ALLGET WHAT WE WANT NOW CAN WE!?" Needless to say my mom was LIVID, and still is.
SO they called again today, I talked to "Tiffany" led her on a little bit then kindly asked to be removed....she scoffed and slammed the phone down.
Upon calling the phone company we found THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! TRYING TO GET YOUR VALUABLE INFO! if you get these calls call the attourney general ASAP! 1877-877-9392 SO WE CAN BUST ON THESE JERKS!
They called at work, I said the name of the business twice & waited then they disconnected.
I'm the receptionist so I spend all day answering the phones. What little joy I have comes from screwing with telemarketers. I PRAY they pick up so I can entertain myself for a while.
I have been getting phone calls every day from these people when I ask them to please take me off their list they hang up on me. I want them to stop calling me.
I got a call today and supposedly it was from a company called ezmoneyfromhome.net. Trying to get me to sign up as a 'product' advisor. testing products. Catch is that you have to pay $199 up front supposedly to protect the companies you test for, for the merchandise they send you. Plus the person told me that they would file to set me up as a 'business' and I would be eligible for the Federal $400 stimulus payment. You know that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I didn't fall for it.
Last logged here on 4/6 @ 18:34. This time I picked up and there was a voice recording playing. I guess today they are in the business of doing a Diabetes Survey. "Press 1 to take the survey. Press 2 to decline the survey". Yes, of course I'll press 2. Then heard the voice recording say something about '...your number will be removed'. Wonder what they will be using this number for tomorrow.
Keep getting called by this number so I called back -that number is disconnected or no longer in service... so I called the main number that "going nuts" posted and asked them to remove me. I usually get pretty upset and have a short temper with these type of people but I didn't this time, just asked for them to remove my number. they were polite about it and said it could take up to 72 hours.. we'll see!
This Extended Auto Warranty Corp, at 1868 N. University Dr., Ste. 304; Plantation, Fl 33322, real phone 954-423-3700; just does not know when to quit. I have taken all I can take from them. One more call and no one is going to need the FTC; but rather the Broward County Sheriff Department SWAT Team. I have asked not to call. I have begged them to take me off their list. They want to see me in person? They will.
When this number 757.990.8981 came up they left a message. It was an advertisement for Ashley Furniture. I purchased furniture with cash almost a year ago and gave them my phone number so they can call me when the delivery truck was 30 minutes away from my house. I guess I should have requested that my number not be used for marketing purposes or sold.
Tired of watching this number come up on caller id. Answered called, but did not say anyting. Could tell this is an automated calling service waiting for me to say something and be switched over to someone making a sales pitch. Remained quiet until their system disconnected.
Called the number back said was disconnected or no longer in service. More scum of the earth scam artists that are too stupid to find a real job!! Poop has more brains and class than these people.
call 954-423-3700. I called that number 22 time in row - was called a prick, mother-fucker, etc. by the receptionist. Finally talked to Edwin, said he was the mgr. - said he would take my number of the list. Told me he could set my number to ring 1000 times a day. Told him to go ahead. We'll see.
They call at least 3 times a day. Fucken bastards.
this company calls and says they can lower credit card interest rate and want cc number, ss#, address, etc. When asked which card this is for, they are vague, then say Visa or MC, (which I have neither) When confronted with the fact that I don't have a cc, they become hostile and say they are now going to raise my interest rate. When I asked how since I don't have a Visa or MC they then threatened to come to my home to take care of this matter. They become very hostile and threatening when asked for the simplest info. Completely a SCAM!! They need to be shut down!!
1. A lot of these callers like 7579908981 come from people, (sale callers), just dialing nmumbers sequentially or
2. Consukmers fall for the ads that say you can win a free laptop on some website.
Dont give out your Phone Numbers unless you are sure of the site.
They need to be stopped.
Call the FTC and file a complaint 877-382-4357. I called them and filed my complaint only to be told there is pretty much nothing they can do, only for me to ignore the calls
Okay I have been receiving these calls both at home and at work for months now, but it has just recently increased. One morning earlier this week I got the call at work, I was dumb enough to select option 1 to speak to a representative. When I asked him to remove me from their list, he immediately hung up on me. An hour later, I received another call, I again select option 1. In not so nice a voice, I asked, "why do you keep calling me." They again hung up. I received 4 more calls during the day which I didn't answer. Now instead of getting about 1 a day, I am getting 5-6 a day. I just received 3 within 30 minutes of each other. What a pain this is. I wish they could find these people, lock 'em up and throw away the key.
I have been receiving these calls 1-2 times a day for the past few weeks from this number. Here is a link to a REAL car warranty company that is trying to figure out who this bogus company is. On the website they said they will post an update when they find out who it is, they must be having people calling them when they aren't the ones responsible.
Thanks Angry E;
I was told to kill myself after I was called a retarded broad after screaming at this guy for calling me at 9:44 in the morning. I filed a complaint with the FCC and will follow up with a complaint to the FTC. Then I believe in GA you can actually file a lawsuit (in small claims court and most times these people don't show up; the better news is is that they have to pay up!!
These idiots just don't stop calling.
They have called my business many, many times and I have hit "2" to be taken off their list. They keep calling! This morning I finally decided to speak with a rep and he assured me that we would be taken off their list. Guess what? I received another call this afternoon and the rep hung up on me! I was incredibly polite to him! What a weasel! I even introduced myself and tried explaining the situation. I am reporting this to the FTC.
Thanks for the company info. They keep calling by cell phone number and I pay per minute.
I've received 16 calls from these guys in the past few weeks, I'm reporting them, I've had it.
I've received 5 calls from this number in the last month. I've never answered as I don't answer unknown numbers, and they never leave a message. Was curious to try to find out who is repeatedly calling, and googled the number - totally surprised to find how many people have complaints about repeat calls from this same number!! I've now listed it as "blocked" in my call so I'll never mistakenly answer. If it seemed like there was anything we could do I'd do it, but sounds like trying to complain to the FTC has been futile.
have been getting calls everyday including weekends for the last month from 9 different #'s. I ask to be taken off the list but they keep calling.
Here is the name, address and number of the company responsible -
Extended Auto Warranty
corporate - 954-423-3700
sales - 954-449-2664
1868 N. University Dr. Ste. 304
Plantation, FL. 33322
Call corporate and you can talk to the secretary. I have been calling every hour to see how they like it. Lets all do it and tie up their lines!
Better yet, I filed complaints w/ the FCC and FTC. It takes a few minutes, but if they get enough complaints maybe something will be done about it, so please do it...
I work for a company that has about 80 different phone numbers, that all ring to my desk! I get at least 20 calls a day from this company. Same thing everyday warranty blah blah blah Everytime I try to talk to someone they hang up on me, or if I ask for a supervisor they say they are the supervisor and when I try to talk to them they hang up on me as well! I finally got fed up with it, the first thing you can do is call the local PD in virginia , but they will tell you they are aware of the problem and the best thing to do is call the FTC and make a complaint. Now they can't help you right away with getting them to stop calling, but the more complaints they get the faster they will find out who these scamers are. If you would like to call the FTC the Number is 877-382-4357
File a complaint with the FCC.gov!!!
I am glad to see that I am not the only one that is having to deal with these calls on a daily basis. I will personally fly to where these jacka** are if I have to. Who do we contact to elevate this issue?
Same story here about some "extended warranty"
Did anybody try to call back? They have a fake reply obviously taped from the phone company "We're sorry you have reached a number that is disconnected"
I have no interest in playing nice. How do we get back at this loosers?
I get harassed by these guys 3-5 times DAILY!!! They call from two different numbers, the other being 702-520-0076, and a recorded voice comes on about my auto warranty (which I do not have) expiring. Each time I try to talk to a rep to tell them to take me off their list they hang up on me! I ask them EVERY TIME to stop calling and have even started the conversation with please don't hang up on me...which is responded with "of course not m'am and in case it does happen is this the correct number to call you back on." To which I reply, Please take me off the list and get hung up on. What do we have to do to get them to stop harassing us!?!? Beg!?!? Guess not cuz I've done that!
I am so sick of these JERKS calling and calling over and over again. Not am I on the National Do Not Call list, but have asked them REPEATEDLY to STOP calling!
I called the number back the last time they called and the MORON hung up on me. There's got to be something we can do to report these folks and get them to stop harassing us! After the guy hung up on me I tried to call him back to once again tell him to STOP CALLING. Of course, they put on an answering machine to say the number is out of service.
I could only be so lucky.
My calls come up from "Sales Department".
I'm reporting to the FCC but from the many others who have tried; it's probably a futile effort.
I get several calls a day from these clowns. I have repeatedly selected 2 which is supposed to remove me from their list. This has not happened as they have called for several months now. They claim to be a warranty sales agency and hang up on you if you try to talk to them about anything else. How do I get rid of them?
I had their call on 03.21.09 at 10:00 am on my house phone. Who called: WARRANTY ALERT and they didn't leave any message. They called me on my cell phone too. I don't know who give them my phone numbers.I want to know what is going on?
The Warranty Service Center has been calling me at least twice a day.......when I ask to be taken off their list they hang up. If I use the number selection to be dropped off the list they keep calling. I have had the very same treatment from the "lower my credit card" vultures.
has this happened to anyone else. The time of the call being related to you doing banking activity online???
They called my home phone saying press one to lower your cc rates. Since i had just paid off a cc over the internet... i thought maybe it was them so i pressed one. the man asked me if i was responding to an offer to lower my cc rates. i said yes what card are you calling about? he said visa and mastercard, then wanted to know how much i owe in credit card debt. i said i'm not telling. he hung up on me. it freaked me out because i literaly JUST paid off my cc online and am worried the call was related. i called my bank and she said it was probably coincidental and to just keep an eye on my bank acct. daily.FREAKY
OBVIOUSLY A SCAM CALL. I REPORTED IT TO THE FCC
The area code and prefix are located in TEMPERANCEVILLE, VA
I received 2 calls this morning. The 2nd one I answered and listen to the recorded spill and pressed 1 when prompted. I told the gal that answered that my wife spoke with someone last night, which she did, and asked to have our number removed from their data base which was confirmed by the person with whom my wife spoke.
Obviously there is no process of deleting ones number from their data base without having an attorney contact them.
If the readers of these messages have had enough, I strongly suggest you contact your local phone company with the phone number and indicate you problem, continue to contact the FCC, contact your states consumer advocacy organization (probably not much they can do), and you local elected politicians. Inundate them with messages indicating you frustrations and ask what they are going to do about it particularly if they want your vote the next time around.
Please make them stop. Thanks
These people continuously call me saying my car warranty is up and they want to renew it for me. The offer to remove my phone by pressing two, which never seems to work. When I call back, I get "all circuits are busy" recording.
Offered to lower my credit card rates...when I started to ask questions, the caller was very rude and hung up on me. I knew it was a fradulent call from the start! Reporting this to the "Do Not Call" list is useless because this is not a legitimate business and their intent is to obtain someone'e identity. I plan to report this to the BBB and the FBI.
Offered homosexual services with in-home services! Outrageous!
keeps calling about warranty. If you ask them for information they hang up. The last 2 times they called, I told them I drive a 1991 fuck you asshole. To my surprise, they hung up.
This is what my Mother did when she got calls she did not want. We are so tired of this .... it is whistle time!
I just got a call from this number from scamdicapper Stu Feiner trying to sell me his lock picks for today's NCAA basketball games.
what i dont understand is why noone can do anything about this, called our poice, called the fbi and called the police in virgina and the do not call list noone cares or will do anything about it, i was told i could block this call for 450 a month but i shouldnt have to , the bad thing is they are reading all this and loving the attention, and its a game because they arent gettin caught.... next time i think i will just scream,,, wonder what theyd do with the info thought about giving them the poice dept address when they start asking for info....
My phone company (Comcast) told me to dial *57 after the call, and that triggers a phone call log on their systems. He didn't know if it would be able to see more than the fake caller ID, but he said that then if I file a complaint and tell the police that I received a threatening/harassing phone call, they could subpoena that record from Comcast. He said to make note of the time and date that I did the *57 so they can find it.
I get a call every single day from these people. I answered once, some retard telling me my warranty was about to expire. I don't have time for this crap so I never answer. You tell them to take you off and they don't, you ask them to and they don't, you push the 2 and they don't. I HATE THEM!
To ALL people it may Concern,
If you are wanting to get these idiots to stop calling you, the DO NOT CALL list is not going to do. You need to contact your local BBB & FBI. THese are the ones to get these people to stop calling. If you do not have enough information to fill out the form for the BBB, call them at their 1800# telling them what you do know. Listen to these people as much as possable, turning the tables with YOU asking the questions instead of them. Ask them where their calling from, what location, if I decide what I want to do, how can I reach you at what # making sure you get their name & ext. (if they have one). Once you report all of this to your local BBB & FBI, they should stop calling. Let the BBB & others know it is a bogus call.
Warranty Service - They call once a day for the past month. I pressed one and got connected to some Tool....
Told him to Stop calling me, and take my number off his List. He quickly claimed there wasn't a 'List'. Which i told him Obviously he has people telling him to stop calling from their list, and that i want my number off the list. I started yelling at him, and he hung up.
This appears to be a bogus number companies use to disguise themselves.
Laurie from 2009-03-04 18:19:25 UTC wrote."I didn't answer but called back and got a genuine recording "this number is no longer in service...etc" this happened about 20 seconds after they called me. interesting..... I've reported it to the 'don't call' list already."
Thanks for the report Laurie.
I didn't answer but called back and got a genuine recording "this number is no longer in service...etc" this happened about 20 seconds after they called me. interesting..... I've reported it to the 'don't call' list already.
Got a call from this number on my recently activated cell phone (activated 02/26/2009). There was a recording about the stimulus payment and how to get more money....Nothing but a fraudulent call.
No idea who this is.,... once and a while I get this call but I do not answer
This is very annoying, when busy the phones rings and it is these creeps.
I will report this to every agency that I can think of at this time
called 3-2-09 no message left
spoofed number received at a business office phone 03-02-09 at about 11:50am cst.
Recording for reducing credit card percentages then asked to press 1 for operator about opportunity or press 2 to be removed from future calls.
I pressed 1 to get more info to list on this anti-telemarketing site (and others) and it never even connected me to an operator and then just disconnected. DUH! so these phone spammers own tatics don't even work...what if I was a completely stupid person ready to fall for their garbage sale?
Deliberately did not answer phone! There are just too many of these types of calls coming in. For me it started about a month ago. If the same number calls again I will just have it blocked thru my telephone co.
Received call at 5:16 PM CT. Person called identifying themselves as being from the "Warranty Center" and stating that they wanted to renew the warranty on my car. I asked him to identify himself, but he transferred me to a recording which prompted me to push "1" if I had not complied with all recall requirements on my vehicles, and press "2" if I had. I did not push any buttons, and the call was eventually terminated to an "out of order" signal.
2-20-2009 Got a call about 2:20pm EST. They were trying to get personal information. Saying they were working on my credit.
I just hung up on them
Got a call from this # a few minutes ago. I answered, but all I could hear was static. Very vaguely, in the background, I could hear a recorded message going very slowly, like it was a cassette or record that had been slowed down 10x or something. I couldn't understand it at all, so I have no idea who it was. The caller ID came up as "Sales Dept". I am (supposedly) on the FCC Do Not Call list, but, well....
Why rely on the FCC? Find out who this is and pay them a visit.
Said my warranty was expiring, press 1 to update or press 2 if already updated...I pressed 2 and it said my name was taken off the list
Telling me my warranty on my Car needs to be extended
Call from 757-990-8981 ID(Sales Dept) at 8:02pm on 02-06-09, stated warranty was going to expire and press one for Rep. Pressing one I was connected to John. He asked me to confirm information, knowing this was a scam I told him to confirm my information. He stated the only thing he could tell me is the vehicle was a Nissan, which I have NEVER owned. I asked the name of the company and he stated Zero front. I asked him for his employee id number which he stated was 5172342 and I asked for a call back number to their office. I could hear many voices on the telephone in the background. He stated it was 888-317-0342 which I repeated and he confirmed. When calling a voice said "This number has not yet been connected". Anything coming from this number is a scam and needs to be reported to the police!
Why is the Do Not Call list such a joke? I send repeated complaints and the calls keep coming. I guess the next step is to buy a really loud whistle.
calling reference warranty hold on for a minute
Someone from this number called on our company line. Our caller ID showed the number and "Sales Dept." The caller said something about a "warranty recall" and asked me to hold on while he pulls up the information. I hung up.
Who ever it is, found my number from Virgina. I live in CHICAGO. They are calling every two hours not saying anything at all just hanging up. I payed 5 dollars on some website that could only tell me it's a landline from out of state in Temperanceville, VA
"We are calling about your credit card account. It is urgent that you call us to lower your rates."
STEP #1 IS TO ALWAYS CONTACT THE FCC AND REPORT ALL TELEPHONE RELATED FRAUDS, SCAMS, ABUSES ETC., REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT'S RESIDENTIAL, BUSINESS, CELLPHONES, CABLE & SATELLITE COMPANIES, JUNK FAXES, PAGERS ECT IMMEDIATELY.
THIS IS A NICE FORUM TO VENT YOUR ANGER AND "TALK" ABOUT WHY THESE JERKS, SCAMSTERS, TELEMARKETERS DO WHAT THEY DO, BUT IT DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

this automated message details some type of gifting web site and a program to make more cash.
says to go to a specific website, however that site cannot be found on a search.
They are calling about lowering my interest rate on my credit cards. I asked which one and lady said my master card and visa card. She asked if I paid total balance every month and when I said yes, she hung up....Next time I'll say NO and see what happens! Tired of all the scammers, they need jailed and key thrown away!
farted on the phone
Said they were MCS credit card something or other, that I might be eligible for discounts on my interest rates, to press #1 for a live operator. I did because I wanted to see where this was going. I got a man who immediately asked for my name. I said to please remove me from their calling list, that I was on the National Do Not Call Registry. He says, "Ma'am this isn't Burger King. We do things OUR (shouting) way, not YOURS!" Then slammed the phone down.
have gotten so many calls from this number its annoying, I have pressed 2 several times to take my name off, now I press one and when they say did you press one to lower your rate I say no, for you to quit calling me, they hang up on me. have asked for name of company and phone number they hang up then to. think next time will just scream as loud as i can when they say did you...........:)
i get at least 1 if not 2 calls per day where it rings, but then when/if i answer there is no one there.
It is a Washington Hospital recording to vote for new board of directors.
said nothing, so i hung up
I basically did the samething that K.M. and AAA below did with the Indian woman recording. This is weirding me out.
It is about marketing, trying to sell a home based business.
dont know who this is..dont care who this is..
Got a recording to press one to lower my interest rates on all of my credit cards. I pressed one and was asked by a live person if I had pressed one to lower my rates. I replied yes andI asked for the name of the company. The reply was "Consumer Services". I was advised that they "work with every major credit card company to lower your interest rate" and that "this will not damage your credit" Don't know if it's true. I think I will call my credit card companies and see if they have ever heard of this company.
I did try to call the number back several times and received a message (woman's voice) that said "you are calling from" and then restated my phone number. After some other muffled noises the woman's voice(sounded like a woman from India) gave me two chices. "If this is the number you wish removed, press one now. Or, if you would like to enter another, press two now." I entered the number 1 (once I finally understood the message) and then the same womans voice came on, restated my phone number and said "Your number has been removed. Goodbye."
The messages and the person I spoke with were very friendly - no hang ups or obscenities were used.
This number keeps calling our line and are trying to sell Dish network with a free DVR. I don't know how they got the number, it is unlisted and only used for the electrician's to call into the office. I pressed one to speak to a sales rep. When I started to tell them who I was, they hung up on me. I called the number back and it said that our number was removed. I know that I have done this in the past and they keep calling our office.
Have been geting a lot of customers calling in about this #. Are reporting that the caller simply says "Sorry, My mistake." Then disconnects call. Wish there was more we could do to help them 'block' these numbers.
Second time I have heard this message (my mistake, sorry about that), when I answered the phone.
Received this call at 14:50 and was the same as reported by Deb: "My mistake, sorry about that!" with an immediate disconnect.
"My mistake, sorry about that." Automated voice. weird!
For once I answered when it didn't identify the caller, and the response was "my mistake, sorry." I thought it was strange, as if they expected to recognize the voice that answered the phone.
Called @ 5:15 pm, left no message. Saw on another 'Who Called'-type site that the number is used as a front for a whole bunch of different telemarketers & is a Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems number. Would it do any good to complain to them?
I don't answer my phone very often but I do report those who call and call. This is one of those.
they didn't leave a message & I tried calling it back and it just repeated my phone number and in the background I heard a lady's voice, she sounded like she's from India
Strange automated call.
Strangest thing, it was an automated service. It simply waited for me to speak my greating, and then said "Sorry about that" and hung up. It was definately an automated voice system. Makes you wonder if they're phishing for names, or recording your greeting so they can try to scam others.
"CARD HOLDER SERVICES" - LOWER CREDIT CARD RATES
SOME ASS HOLE "MICHAEL" CALLING. DIDN'T LISTEN TO WHAT THE FUCK HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
I got an automated recording stating I could make $1000-$4000 per day. It requested I press 1 for more information on this 'exciting opportunity'.
I called the # back, it tracked my number reading it back to me then I got a recording with a lady with a middle eastern stating to press 1 to talk to someone or press 2 to be removed.
This call came in at 12:15 AM!!! Who is this? Caller ID indicated "Sales Dept". No response when I answered the phone.
"my mistake sorry about that"
They did not leave a message
Out of state
This caller tells me I need help with my credit. I wanted to respond but they hang up every time. Annoying does not begin to describe how frustrated I was. I will keep trying to call them. One telecommunications source claims there are problems with the number right now.
I looked them up on ReverseMobile.com. The call came from a cell phone in (would you believe) Temperanceville, Virginia. For $15 I could have gotten a complete listing of their name, address, etc. It ain't worth it.
said it was for lower interest rate on cc. but disconnected before I could question how I got on the call list
Tried several times to get them to stop calling so when they called again I did press one and then they answered the phone asking did you press one to lower your rates, I said no I need to talk to a supervisor, with that they hung up on me.
A predatory credit card call "We are calling about your credit card account. It is urgent that you call us to lower your rates."
who iz dis?
