this is a credit card company collection agency either hsbc or merrick bank i get the calls all the time.
Today i got a call at 8:15,10:11,12:13,1:23,3:04
got home no messages, finally answered the 3:04 one, asked for someone said they are not home, wants to know where they are and when they will be back, wouldn't say who they were or anything.
sorry i don't give any info out if you won't identify yourself. too bad so sad.
4 calls in 3 hours!!
They've been calling me constantly and never would say anything when I would answer the phone, never left any messages. How is one supposed to know who the hell they're trying to contact or what their business is if they won't SAY anything?? They call and call and call and call .... no messages .... saying nothing. That's harassment, in my opinion. After emailing, I finally spoke with someone, and it turns out they were looking for someone other than myself. Bothering people like this is bad enough, but especially worse when they've got the WRONG person! Something's definitely got to be done about this. It's just not right.
Receeived 3 calls in 2 days - asked me to verify name, address, last 4 digits of SS#, would not disclose nature of their business w/o personal verificartion of info. - very suspicious
4 calls yesterday, 6 calls today. Filed complaint with FCC at donotcall.gov
has anyone ever timed them? We had them call every twenty Minutes for over two or three hours and now they call every day at least once every three hours.how annoying.
I bought a Tracfone cell phone 3 weeks ago.Never did use it except to call myself from a pay phone and then call that pay phone to see if everything was working.Never gave my number to anybody.A week ago now,I started receiving calls. The first one I pick it up...it went dead.Stupid me,I called back. That woman voice tells me blah,balh,blah...Atlanta...I hung up.I then received 4 more calls the same day.I press the button to ignore them. Then, the next 3 calls, after I ignored them right away,I did receive a voice mail. That was Moday,8 calls,3 voice mails.Tuesday,5 calls.Wednesday(4th of July)no calls.Tuesday,9 calls.Today so far,6 calls.
i have a company cell and i don't know where they obtained the number but they call 5 times a day. i'll tell them to piss off tomorrow now that i know who they are.
These folks haven't started calling me too! They ring me back to back, often several times just within 1 minute. I ignore the calls on my cell phone, which means I shoot them to voicemail. Sometimes they leave messages, sometimes not. Why can't we block callers on cell phones yet?!? I am getting these calls as early as 7am EST, and 9pm EST. Even on weekends. This sucks.
these people are relentless ...i work 7-4 and they call me at least 8 to 10 times daily .SERIOUSLY GIVE UP..
I have called and reported them I was told they have to identify themselvs if you ask. I pay my bills and have no early idea why they call my phone. No one else has had this number for over 10 years and I'm single so there is no one else assiciated with this number.
HAAAAAA! I thought so! I'd be willing to bet that this very website is created/hosted by the collectors TSYS! Probably trying to monitor and manage public outcry. They're on an information gathering mission... see how far they can push the envelope! smell a class action lawsuit before it happens so they can prepare their case.... while continuing to break the law. Schmucks!
Here is "greg" listed above...also from this collection agency..!
Public and Media Relations Manager
Understand, folks? Public and Media Relations! Trying to do damage control?! For the company's unlawful and unethical practices! I would email Tom Mason (above) and cc. to your State's Attorney General!
guess what... "peggy" and "GREG" who posted the previous messages work for TDM! The collection agency that has been calling us! Scroll up and read all the messages! I will give you the link to their company website! Find out who "peggy" really is... she works for their Marketing Dept. The prior messages are simply "damage control" here is their info...
Peggy Bekavac Olson
Vice President, Marketing
TDM is a particulary scummy collection agency... they routinely engage in unethical and illegal practices. I did some research and have some contact info to send your complaints instead of just posing them here... email Tom Mason, Chief Operating Officer of TDM at firstname.lastname@example.org
This bill collector keeps calling my cell phone apx. 5 times per day looking for someone named "Robert". I have explained on 4 different occasions that it a brand new cell phone and new number. I don't know anyone named Robert!! It ticks me off particularly because I pay for incoming calls... I wonder if the State Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs can help me out with this one.
we are a business and they constantly call for an individual, the owner. The caller states that the individual will know what this is regarding. They don't leave reference numbers or anything. Tried calling back and gave the extension left by the caller. She asked for a name...stated we didn't have one. She then transferred me into a black hole....no one ever picked up. She left her call back number as 800-535-5650.
I have an idea, why don't every one these guys call call them back all at once and jam their phone system
why would a company call 20 times a day and not say anything? i'm going to have my friends call them and their friends too. with cell phone plans having lots of free minutes, maybe we can swap them!
these ppl keep calling up to 10 times/ day even after 2130(9:30)cdt. very tempted to keep calling them back (do unto others, you know)

These people call--no exaggeration--9 times a day. They refuse to let me call back after I check to see where my elderly mother's finances are (she is the indebted one). They will not leave a message, nor will their supervisor answer my messages. They refuse to provide an address. My mother is willing to pay, but cannot pay the entire lump sum; she needs to do so over 3 mos. They refuse anything except that she pay it all off over the phone. The message is clear: pay it all NOW, or we will harass you all day every day. I am filing a harassment complaint with the Arizona Dept of Financial Institutions. These guys are the WORST!
computer generated collection call during legal hours (8AM-9PM)
they call and ask for my dad. they call LITERALLY called so far today 22 times. in the past 2 hours. they are pitiful. and they try to get an attitude, its fucking annoying.
It sucks to be a debt collector and that is probably why you only know one half of the laws as a collector and it does not take any education to be a collector. That is why collection companies often break many laws because the people they hire to often work for such low pay do not have the education to know all the laws. I know collectors are doing there job but and it is a sucky job but know all the laws not just some of them or if you really hate people because of what you have to do to earn an income then find another job
Often, simply advising the collector that you are aware of the act and your rights under it will stop the harassment. If it doesn=t, you may want to save the messages and letters and keep a log in case you need to utilize the federal and state protections.
Implying or stating that the collector is affiliated or connected with the government; falsely representing the character, amount or legal status of the debt. For instance, a collector cannot falsely represent himself as an IRS agent to frighten the consumer into paying the debt. (Please note that if it is IRS debt, it is probably not a consumer debt and not protected by the Act.)
Falsely implying the communication comes from an attorney or that a person is an attorney.
Threatening to send out false credit information.
Using language or symbols on envelopes that indicate that it is from a collection agency. (This includes sending postcards.)
If your life has been made more difficult by bill collectors utilizing unfair practices, keep in mind that you have rights that protect you from abusive or harassing collection behavior. Not only should you be able to stop some of the behaviors outlined above, but you may also be able to collect money damages from the collector for willful and repeated violations. The federal act allows for a recovery of $1,000 or actual damages and the state act allows for a $500 recovery or actual damages. Plaintiffs of successful lawsuits are often entitled to recover costs and reasonable attorneys= fees. In some circumstances, punitive damages are also recoverable.
Using profanity, obscenities, and/or abusive language.
Placing continuous phone calls intended to harass, annoy or abuse the consumer. At least one court has held that a collector immediately calling the debtor after debtor hung up the phone, constituted harassment.
Failure to identify oneself as a debt collector. Collectors may use a Adesk name@ to protect themselves individually, but they must disclose the name of their employer and the nature of the business.
Making deceptive, false or misleading misrepresentations. For example, mass-produced collection letters not reviewed by an attorney prior to mailing are considered false and deceptive.
Contacting a debtor at work after the collector has been advised not to phone the debtor at his or her place of employment. Once a consumer notifies a collector not to call them at work, further calls are prohibited.
Advising third parties (friends, relatives, employers) of the consumer's debt. A collection agency should not be defaming a consumer to third parties.
Harassing, oppressive, or abusive behavior. This is a broad category, and subject to broad interpretation.
Threatening criminal acts or violence. If a collector threatens to perform "impromptu dental surgery," rest assured that he is in violation of the Act.
Communicating with the consumer in connection with collection of any debt at any unusual time or place. In the absence of knowledge of circumstances to the contrary, a creditor shall assume that a convenient time for communicating with a consumer is after 8:00 a.m. and before 9:00 p.m. You should not be receiving phone calls at midnight from your credit card company, or "King-Kong Collection Agency."
Contacting the consumer when the consumer is represented by an attorney, unless the attorney fails to respond within a reasonable period of time to communication from the debt collector, or unless the attorney first consents to direct communication with the consumer. Basically, if you have turned the problem over to your attorney, you should not be receiving phone calls from the collection agency.
You have 30 days from the receipt of the notice to dispute the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, in writing, or the debt collector may assume the validity of the debt. If a consumer properly disputes the debt within the 30-day period, the collector must obtain verification of the debt and mail it to the consumer. Additionally, within the 30-day period, the debt collector must provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor. Failure to send this notice in a timely manner can result in a violation of the Act and subject the collector to sanctions.
If you are contacted by a debt collector concerning a consumer debt, there are some specific statutory requirements that the collector must follow. For example, within five days of the initial communication with the consumer, a debt collector must advise the debtor in writing of: (1) The amount of debt; and (2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed.
Do not give your social and birthday
There are laws for people that owe debt and they are called The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for consumer rights. Go to this website when you talk to the agency and see if they are breaking any lhttp://library.findlaw.com/2000/May/1/130141.htmlaws.
I don't know on whose behalf they are calling, but I think they are breaking the law. They call me everyday from 8:05AM - 8:55PM. Usually they will call me 12 times a day but yesterday it has increased to 17 times. I'm going to seek counsel if this continues.
I think these are Zombie Bill collectors. I put them on silent ring tone for my mobile, however they call about 10 times a day. They are about 60% of my calling pool making my phone just about usless when using the recent number menu.
With tactics like this I say, no matter what DO NOT GIVE THEM ONE PENNY.
This caller is a member of the Capital One collection MAFIA, they intimidate you and harrass their creditors.
They deserve not to be paid just ignore them. Anyway, if your credit is bad, then they could not harm you anymore.
Have left a dozen messages - for a name that doesn't live here. (I've had this number for 20 years.) Then I picked up and caught the person live last week. They had me repeat the number to them so that they could take it off the list. They called again left a message again today.
Don't give anyone your info. I paid a bill over the phone with my checking account and it ended up that is was someone that had access to my phone # and some info they took all my money from my account. Bought airline tickets to Hawaii..etc. I got my money back but, what a time i had getting it.

They've been calling every day for a week but finally left a message to call them back. They had my correct first name but the last was wrong. I told them to stop calling and they patched me through to the supervisor. This really seems like they are fishing for information.
Asked for someone not at this number, they Hung up when I said to remove number.
18 Times! 18 times they have called today. It's in my call history on my phone. 18!!!!!!!!!!!! And the message they leave has no name/contact info...only hours of availability. Plus they started off at 8:15am MST. They aren't supposed to call before 9:00am.
This is harassment. 18 TIMES in ONE DAY!
Left mesg telling me, "This is Prescious at TDM...office open until 10pm EST...this is time sensative..." Rediculous. Like I am going to call back a company I never heard of...right.
I too have been getting calls from this collection agency and others for someone I have never heard of. She must have some really bad credit. They just started calling and I finally answered, greeted by a voice recording, told to hold for operator, transfered to one, asked to speak to the person they are looking for, told them there is NO ONE BY THAT name at my number, I don't want anymore calls, that I already filed a complaint to the FTC about them repeatedly calling. She said they would remove me.
dude they call me 8 times a day i called them back they hungup the phone on me...the next day i called and the lady she wanted my SS# or my credit card number ....i told here ...she told me there is no way for her to know me....i told her that they been calling me and whene i answer it there is no one talking.......she said (i am sorry i dont know what this is happining).... so in the end i never give her any info about me (keep in mind i called with diffrent phone and hiding caller ID) any way ....its scam ...do not give them your info
I get 3-6 calls a day from this number. They never leave a message.
i got it too
I have logged as many as 13 calls in one day on my caller id. Sometimes I pick up and it hangs up on me! Attempted many times to get them to quit calling and they refuse. They are always right, right?
This asshole keeps calling my 14 year old daughter on her cell phone. If I ever find him, he'll HOPE that the police get to him first.
they called and asked for me, but my husband answered...they are like tellemarketers or something- he called them back and said to take us off the call list.
The company calling from this number was identified by a call center worker as TSYS Debt Management.
Their website is www.tsys.com
they asked for my grown son who soen't live with me. They never say what they want and have called several times.
Capital One, called repeatedly home number and somehow got my wife's work number even though she wasn't on the card I was dsputing. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
greg is correct, i called them back. Sorry no big mystery. :(
I got the same company from the number - 800-535-5650
TDM has been calling my parents house CONSTANTLY for a few weeks (and I only lived with them for about 6 months over 2 years ago). My Dad finally answered the phone and got a contact extention and name for me to call but the man would not say what it was about. I called the number and a guy answered and I told him the extention number and he said "what is this regarding?" and the guy said that in order to discuss anything he would need me to verify 4 pieces of information. the first thing is asked is what is my FULL S.S.N. I told him I wouldn't give it and asked him what this call was regarding. He wouldn't answer. Finally he said he would remove my parents number from his list but didn't ask me for mine or anything. I called the number back again and got a women and I asked for the same extention and her question was "who are you trying to reach". I said Mark and then the same guy I talked to the first time answered - he has a VERY thick middle-eastern accent. Now if that was a true creditor (and I have gotten those calls before) - they would have said who they were and would do ANYTHING to keep me on the phone. As soon as I said I wouldn't give my S.S.N. and that I didn't trust he wasn't some scamer he seemed to be totally fine with our call ending.
these people are scum
If you call the number back it says it's from Tesa's Debt Management.
Sounds more like a "Bob's Bank" sort of thing.
Caller said they were updating some files. First thing they wanted was last 4 digits of SS#, which I didn't give...I don't know these people!
Called number back...said please hold then hangs up.
Same company following the same "MO" using 800-535-5650. Let's get this company stopped!
After asking to stop 4 times, was told to call the same number and ask for manager "Chi Chi" at extension 5365. Left a message on 2/7, but the calls continue.
These people call us six and eight times a day. We have done no business with Capital 1 and don't intend to. Greg sounds pretty sure of himself when he says that paying your bills is the answer. He is absolutely incorrect about that. We owe them nothing; never have; never will
They are persistent for sure. I have software on my computer that intercepts the alls I don't want and tells the caller we aren't accepting calls! :) They can't even leave a message! LOL!
T D M
These sons of bitches keep callingme!
Called early on a Sat, then called and hung up several times a day
Ok, here's the deal. The number really does belong to TSYS, but you must call during their east coast operating hours, else you get a message saying something along the lines of "The number you have called is no longer in service." and it hangs up.
A guy with a deep voice mumbled something about needing me to call TSYS Total Debt Management at 800-240-0620 to discuss an account that has gone to collection. This number does not appear anywhere on TSYS's web site. This does not appear to be a legitimate message.
Thanks for all the help from those of you on this board! I followed the website information and started making phone calls. I was eventually given 706-644-3333, which is their customer service line. I spoke with someone who said he would "open a ticket" to resolve the situation. We'll see if that works. If not, I also found a phone number for reporting things to their Board of Directors. It is a 24/7 number for reporting complaints: 800-240-1242.
2006-12-01 to date. Calls every evening at various times... (8 Messages total now) Sherman is the recorded name given when we call the 800 number. Really annoying that there is no way to contact them to stop the calls. The automated voice claims the mailbox is full and that we'll be transfered... we never are but instead get hung-up on.
Go to www.tsys.com to see what this company is about. Also send this web page link to the 2 address's below. These guys are the CEO's of TSYS. If they get enough emails, maybe they will take some action to solve this problem.
I called several times, and they have denied ever calling my phone number. They asked for my social security number, whereupon I asked them to send me written proof of any owed debt and hung up. I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address tracked down by "Pissed Off" on 11/20.
these bastards call 5 times a day. the 770 is georgia(roswell) outside Atlanta. The cool thing is I have verizon IOBI which does not allow the call to come through but I can see date and time on my PC. Next time I'll call them from a nationwide payphone that only $1 per call to see what they want and give them bogus info.
Having the same problem as others stated on this web page. Called the number back and a "Sherman" voice mail is full with no other response.
They call me up to 8 times a day, never leave a message. When I call back after hours to hear their company greeting, it's a generic answering machine with no information.
called - id on phone said T D M - said they were connected with Capital One Credit Cards
*Finally* got a live body, and had them remove my number - they were looking for someone I had never heard of. Company name is TSYS Debt Mgmt. Stayed on hold for about two minutes, but was worth it. Said it could take 3-4 business days to complete removal, so we'll see...
Wanted to know if we knew of company, logistics. Fishing for information. Talked about owing a debt.
This number was given from a pre-recorded message stating that they are a collection agency. I don't owe anyone so I called to tell them to quit calling. The machine picks up indicating their inbox is full and it hangs up. STOP!
they won't leave a message, it just plays a recording and an operator comes on the line and says hello? and then hangs up
greg sounds like he works for this company!! lol
They call several times a day. We've NEVER had any account or business with Caiptal One. We have the best credit history you can ever imagine. Go to www.ftc.gov for help about fair debt collection.
"debt"-collection has been taken to a new, low, level. Google "Zombie Debt" and Wenske . There are ways to deal with them
I have an update!! I was home this weekend when they called for a Mrs. Wilson. We have been getting calls for her and Mr. Wilson daily from several different people. I informed the caller (TDM) that they had the wrong phone number and they have stopped calling.
This number is account management for capital one credit cards. They cant talk about the account issues until you verify who you are, ie personal information. Its against privacy laws for them to state the nature of their call until they can confirm they are speaking with the correct person. They are not in violation for calling, all you people must have someone who used your phone number on their accounts which have gone dilinquent. They have existing business relationships with whoever used that phone number as a contact number on their credit card account. They can call you whenever they want. Don't like their calls? Maybe you should consider paying your bill
Here you all go.... have at them....

Same problem. Wrong number to do this too... Better hope it quits for their sake! Not joking.
they call throughout the day. Caller ID says TDM
No idea who these people are, I have never actually been home to answer when they call but if I ever am, I will report back! They call 3-5 times daily and at first never left a message but they are now leaving messages with a standard greeting asking me to hold and then a woman says hello a few times before hanging up. Who are these people??
We have been getting this call for at least 3 months now, several times a day. Every morning when I check the voice mail I have messages from this call. Very annoying and frustrating!
Caller calls repeatetly with same message very annoying
Automated voice repeates number 3 times. Calls several times a day, often continues calling until the phone is answered.
3-5 calls per day, never leave a message 11/10/06, 11/9/06, 11/8/06, 11/7/06,etc
TDM, T D M
Postal Code 55124
The caller id says T D M. When I answer or my machine picks it up, there is no one there.
received 2 calls so far today 11/9. i don't have a clue who it is. caller id is "TDM" only.
We get this call just about daily. He says number and tells you that you will be connected with an operator by pressing any number.
anyone have any ideas?
It never ENDS
TSYS Debt Management is more than a typical telemarketing scam, it is a total system. Our company has been getting calls everday and we are on the National Do Not Call List. My recommendation - print out a copy of this website page, write a formal complaint to your state attorney general (where you reside) and the state attorney general for Georgia. Each time they receive a letter, and the piles of mail get bigger, they will be forced to address it. The next step - send a copy of your letter to each large circulation newspaper and TV station news desk or features dept. in Atlanta. Won't they love it each time they receive a new letter from a new state. We provide the story, they get the ratings....and maybe we'll stop these damned telemarketers once and for all. It's not like it doesn't happen - the courts have recently set a precedence. FIGHT!

A recored message says hold for; then clicks off. They call 6 to 8 times a day ;even on Sunday. Who are these people?
2 back-to-back calls
Has been leaving voicemails with a standard recording then someone says, "Hello" once or twice and waits for the time to be up on my voicemail. I finally answered and they said they are TDM and asked for my information to verify who I am. I told them no. They said I have business with them. How can I have business with someone I don't know? They would not tell me anything about their company or let me talk to a supervisor. Now they are calling my office number as well. Who are these people???
Capital One. Relentless caller. Computer generated. Calls at all hours.
"This is not a solicitation or a sales call"...This number calls at least twice a day and has for months. I have tried to connect to a live operator and haven't gotten anyone. Today is Saturday. I tried to connect again today and NOTHING. I called back and found that the number goes to "Sherman"'s mailbox, which happens to be full. So I was to be transferred to the "attendant". I held and held and held. I don't know what "Sherman" wants, but if he doesn't stop calling, I have a feeling that many people are going to report him to the authorities for communications harrassment.
Have been calling repeatedly for two days-thanks caller ID
This person is in violation for just keep calling and calling
My number is on the no-call list, yet I receive nightly calls from this company. When I called them today, the woman hung up on me.
my contact info: firstname.lastname@example.org
Get this phone call multiple times per day. Very annoying.
yeah these butts have been calling me about 4-5 times a day for the last month. I dont even answer just pick up and put my phone on mute. And let them sit there.
comes up T D M no idea who this is
Has been leaving voicemails with a standard recording then someone says, "Hello" once or twice and waits for the time to be up on my voicemail. Called back and they would not tell me what company they are and asked for my personal information which I did not give out. Told them to not call back untill they can give me more information because I don't give out my personal information to people/companys I don't know or don't have any association with. We'll see if they call back.
they ask for my wife and i say she's not here and then they hand up they call 4 to 5 times a day and I told them to never call again and they keep calling Ms Lucia and Ms williams have given their names when I ask to speak to a supervisor they put me on hold and never come back
just says georgia
I thought I was the only one getting these ghastly, unrelenting calls. Qwest won't touch it -- I don't know how to make them stop. I don't owe anyone any money!
i called the number and they wont say what kind of business they are. They want my phone number before they will tell me anything. i wont give it because of scams. Who are they?
Have been blanketed with these calls every day. FINALLY they messed up and called from an unblocked number - caller id shows it as 770-638-6481. I have turned them in as harrassing someone on the no call list.
Capital One delinquent credit card division...
Have been calling daily to home & work #. Just leaves recorded message. When I called back to inquire. Just got a voice mail for "Sherman" who's mailbox was full. Advised being transferred to an attendent & no one answered.
This has to be wrong. This number has called several times a day for months. How do you make them stop?

Calling several times a day, leaving this message "1-800-535-4528 between the hours of 8 AM and 10 PM eastern daylight time". I find it both annoying and menacing at the same time.
every day at least once a day these people call with a recorded message. i have tried to call them back to have my name taken off their list. does anyone know who they are??
Recorded message telling me to call 800-240-0620, no indication of why I should do so or what the company is called or what they do. Option to connect directly "by pressing any key" does not work. I called the number and asked to be put on Do Not Call list. They asked if ____ lived with me or if I knew who ____ was. Possibly a collection agency.
Have been calling daily with computer message for over 2 weeks. Returned call with no information given. Our number is a business. Very Rude.
Deep voice repeated muber 3 times and offer a chance to connect to a live operator for more information. It was busy when I called the number
