The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want
Target Card Services |
targetcardservices calls from 4 phone numbers:
This is a scam. Target does not call people to collect. I am not late and this caller told me I had missed a payment and I was being charged a 25.00 fee. They know how much is due on my next payment. She wanted me to make a payment over the phone. DO NOT this is a scam. if you have any doubt call target.
i missed one payment to target my mistake because i never charge on it so spaced out even owing. the balance is $57. i will never use this card again..
This is a TARGET collection co, even if a person schedules a payment they still call they are not professional at all.
My apologies, the comment below was meant for another number
pulled this page up while phone was ringing. Read it was a scam (I don't even have a Target Card)and decided to pick up the phone because, well, I feel like arguing with someone today as I have some pent up agression. No one was there. So, then I called back. Didn't ring, but autoanswer told me to leave a message for (insert no name, but background noise) then informs me that mailbox is full and thanks me for using T-Mobile.
I have a Target card which is paid in full. These people "spoof" their number. It came up on my caller ID as Broadview Media. I didn't know it was Target until I googled the number and found this website.
I pay on my Target account but refuse to activate my new card because of the high interest rate. My daughter got disgusted of this morons calling at least every hour. When she answered the phone there was no one there. You would think if the call was that important they would at least leave a message.
I paid on my account and they have the nerve to still call my number at unGodly hours like idiots waking me up!
This number calls numerous times a day for a person who must have used to have this number and I have told them to change the number or take me off their list numerous times, but the calls don't stop!!!
They call non-stop. Never leave a message. I talked to them once, said they were from Target and that we owe $ on our card. We definitely do not. Then they offered to let us pay by check over the phone. Told them we don't owe money and to stop calling. Still call about 3-4 times a day.
Target account services. Minneapolis
Have sent letter with times/dates of repeated, thus, harassing calls to all local, state, and federal agencies that have any connection with harassing calls. Calling one's phone line carrier is an exercise in futility. Thank you. No idea who, what, or why the calls.
This person called me from the Phillipines with a heavy accent. She wouldnt talk to me unless I admitted I was the person she was calling, and I wouldn't admit that I was the person unless she told me what it was about. If it's Target, I'm not behind on my bill.
They don't give up, call on my cell and on my home phone. Don't give up and I won't answer the phone. It's harassment.
Three calls this morning alone. No one is on the other end when it rings.
Our company repeatedly receives abandoned calls from Target. This is only the latest number they have used. We don't have any business dealings with Target and don't own any credit cards, so I have no idea why they are calling. If they are trying to reach an employee about a personal matter, or the company who had our telephone number three years ago, then someone on the other end of the line needs to speak up. I can't help them when they hang up every time I answer.
These are the numbers associated with Target that we've been receiving abandoned calls from, and the names displayed on my caller ID:
612-852-0021 Minneapolis MN
888-608-7627 Target Visa
952-852-0003 Target TFS
The one little flaw in George's otherwise sound advice from two years ago is that the FDCPA applies only to third parties which have been assigned or sold a debt account. Target accounts, issued by Retailers National Bank, would be considered first party. You must turn to your state laws for anything similar.
Technically, Receptionist, we do have a Truth In Caller ID Act as of late December, but the ink is still drying. Aggressive skip tracing is not beyond original creditors, and in fact the lack of regulation only encourages it. We can't keep scammer spoofing off the table, either.
Interesting...I just got a call from this number and I don't think it's the first this week. The caller ID displays Minneapolis MN but no company name. Is that legal? Anyway, people here identify the caller as Target. We did have an abandoned call yesterday that displayed as Target Visa on my caller ID. Yet, we don't do business with Target and our company doesn't own any credit cards. Something's fishy.
Called looking for old employee, hung up first time i ask whom was calling. second time told me it was Joden from Target. When i explained this person was no longer at this number she asked why i asked who it was. I replyed, last time i asked they hung up on me. So now she realized it really is the wrong number. Geesh.
Someone from this number has made probably close to 80 phone calls - as I can count on my caller id. I have answered twice. They are very rude. They are calling for a person who doesn't live here anymore. They ask NUMEROUS interrogatory and accusatory questions to try to probe for any information about the person that doesn't live here anymore!!! How do we get them to stop calling!?!?!!!
I don't know who called - they asked for "Lisa" and I told them they had the wrong phone #. I now get these calls everyday for someone who lived here before me, and most everyday "Target Visa" calls for these people. I have no Target Visa card and when I hit #3 to let them know they have the wrong person, they then want to forward my call to a live person. Since I have no obligation to any of them, I simply continually hang up DAILY.
I just got this phone # a month ago in this new place.....Now I'm thinking of having this number changed again!
DO you need to call several times a day? I would return your call if YOU WOLD LEAVE A MESSAGE.
Every day, even on Sundays, I get 4 or 5 calls a day from this number. I block these calls from my phone, my phone will not let them leave messages and I do not hear it ring, but I can see the number, so I know that someone is calling. I am pretty sure it is Target. They also call from different numbers, which some of them are not 800 numbers. I not answer no number that I do not know.
Calls started at 8:00am this morning..(Sunday). My wife has a Target card and the payment is not due for another 4 days. She has never been late on a payment. Is Target hard up for money or what?
Dead air, no messages, asking for the wrong people... This does not sound like it really is Target, it sounds more like a phishing scam claiming to be Target.
I received a call 12/28/2010. Caller ID showed (952) 852-0003, TARGET TFS. Thinking it strange that I would be receiving a call from Target as my account of many years ago had been closed with a zero balance a long time, I called back the number on my caller id, using someone else's cell phone. The automated prompts asked for my account number repeatedly. I ignored the prompts until I could go to a "live" person. Again I was asked for my account number and my phone number. I insisted that because they had called me, they should already have that information. they then identified the cell phone number I was using. I informed that that I used a borrowed phone because I did not trust them. We went around and around with my finally telling them that I was going to call Target back directly using the phone number on my old card. They hung up. Interestingly, when I did call Target and was finally put through to the fraud prevention department, the initial prompts were identical with the suspected spam operation's prompts!
TDC did not say if he was borderline or a week late. Even if so, a creditor can choose not to become a rabid dog within twelve hours of a billing cycle closing, and most don't.
Dear TargetDeadCard: Often when you pay a card off online or over the phone, it doesn't transfer through to their system for a couple business days. Check your bank account online. If they've withdrawn the money, then you have the right to be angry. When they call, ANSWER THE PHONE and tell them that you paid your card off in full and that your bank account proves that they have taken the money. Often their system isn't updated as quickly as your bank account. There are many channels the information has to go through. Calm down, be an adult and realise that if your account is past due (or was past due just yesterday), you're gonna get a collection call! They want their money! I don't blame them! You got something basically for free at their store if you don't pay on your credit card. (and you're only racking up the bill with interest and late fees anyway)
I received 14 calls from this number beginning 12/9/10.
Paid my card off yesterday, getting woken up on my only day off at 8:00am. I got 5 calls before finding this page. I have dumped girls in the past for being less annoying. I'm dumping this card soon...
I get calls from this number everyday and all times of the day (starting at 8am!) and they ask for some weird name and as soon as I say "who?", they hang up! If this is Target, I don't even have a Target card??? And I've had the same phone number for almost 7 years.
Correction: I've been informed that some states prohibit collection calls on Sundays. The remaining states should follow Federal law, making any day fair game.
Got calls from them daily...no outstanding balance on the card and the girl doesn't sound familiar with the account at all. Gave her no information and hung up.
The bill was paid and these assholes still call day and night with no message. We don't answer 800 numbers. Next time they call I WILL answer and blast a air horn into the phone!
10/15/2010, 5 telephon calls from 888 274-0160
10/16/2010, 6 telephone calls from the same number
10/17/2010, on a Sunday, 5 calls
Sandy: The overwhelming opinion of this thread points to Target (Retailers National Bank) internal collections. The teenager answering at your local store may not have knowledge or access for all things "corporate".
Addressing a few older entries ... No, Sunday calls are as legal as any other day. There are no sacred days in retail or collections. The FDCPA is of no use with a first party collector. Knowing this, some firms become abusive and irritating, and may be highly prone to error, as many reports here would support. I believe California is the only state which grants protections similar to FDCPA when you're still under a half year delinquent and taking those bully calls from the first party.
This number called us several times per week. This number is for Target credit card accounts.
Target collection recorded call allows you to make a late payment on the phone using your checking account. I don't think they charge a fee for that service and totally automated.
They called my husbands work number. I then called our local target store. They checked this number and it is NOT Target. I am calling the police department as per Target's instructions to report this number as fraud.
P.S. They were asking my husband for the last 4 digits of our Target Credit Card # but we do not nor have we ever had a Target Credit Card.
I have recieved several calls from this number. The first few numbers came up on call id as "Target Collections", and they even left a message on the answering machine. But it seems when they realized that we were not going to answer they began to block their caller id so that only the phone number came up.
Just got a call from them. No message left this is the first time we have been late on our target card that we have had for 8 years. But based on the comments below if they start calling constantly and late at night then that will be the end of this card.
Target National Bank. They keep calling with "an important business matter" and a different x number and different caller each time.
Well I do not have a Target card for them to call me regarding not paying my bill. I get them at least once a week.
this # is for Target VISA collections
Target Sucks, they are one of the worst companies when it comes to customer service, when they error on your credit report forget it ever being removed even if you can prove they in fact wrong.
If you have a problem with target call the CEO.
If you have means to block them, than do.. NO ONE needs to be harrast for a wrong phone number
Just don't answer, not worth my time. If they want to say something they can E-mail me or send a letter, I don't even shop there much less have one of their cards.
I just got my new number from T-mobile and someone from india calls me from this number asking for a dorla? what's a dorla and why would someone from india think I would have one?
We receive calls all day long from this number and two other numbers. 612-307-5885 and 866-408-4070 One evening the 612 number called us every half hour up until I unplugged the phone around 9 pm My wife has called them back and asked them repeatedly to quit calling us at this number and they have either hung up on her or ignored her request. The number that they call us on is a business line. I finally just filed a complaint with the ftc and am hoping they do something about this issue. It is Target and we missed a couple of payments and now they keep calling all day long to try to collect ... I have told them that I will send money when I can but that just isn't good enough. They won't stop calling. Today I am sending out a certified letter to the company and am going to request that they stop calling this number or any other number that they have. I am hoping that will help
ansered this call and som russian lady answered she called three times that day
Caller id shows 952-852-0003 or it shows: UNKNOWN NUMBER. Some days they call me about 5 to 10 times.
Most of the time , they hang up without saying anything. Allegedly, they represent target.
They just picked the right name: target. I like their name. Makes me want to go hunting.
If this is Target...okay, sure I was late with my payment...but it's been made now. If that's what they're calling about maybe they ought to check the account records before harassing someone. They've been calling from about 4 different phone numbers, at least 5 times today and last call they left a message on my machine finally to identify themselves.
This is my 2nd call from this number today. I didn't not pick up either times. After the missed calls I had a voicemail from them...nothing but dead air. If this is Target they can screw off bc this is the 1st bill that I am late on. They will get the money when I can give it to them. I hate harassing phone calls!
called on sunday afternoon
I get calls from them all the time! The funny thing is I keep telling them IM JUST A KID! Ive asked them many times to take me off their list but no! Ive never had a Target card nor ever will because I hate Target. Ive had about 30 missed calls from them.
I’ve recently moved causing me to have to change my home number since then I’ve received constant calls from this 888 274-0160 number almost three times a day along with other 800 or 888 numbers I just registered my phone numbers with donotcall.org I’ll wait to see if this helps or not either way any company that uses a communications networking type of phone system the number displayed on ones caller ID can be what every the caller has programmed it to be which means even my PH# could be used and people will call my phone thinking it me calling on behalf of whoever.
I have NEVER had a Target credit card. They have called my home phone for days now and this morning they called at 8am and woke me and my kids up. I told them they have to stop calling me.
I get calls form this # multiple times per day even though I tell them I will pay the bill online by the due date because I missed ONE lousey payment. I hope that the loss of my lifetime future business is well worth the little bit of interest they were able to profit off my credit account. This is business operations at their worst. Hope their bottom line will show it.
when i pick up they don't talk.
please do not call continueous ,my bill is not due yet,I emailed you also.I have very bad depression, and this is really getting to me ,I'm sorry. I will call you ,before the nite my stress has gotten so bad from the phone ringing and ringing ,that I have to go to my doctor at 4:30
They call all the time! This should be outlawed
Hey Target! Guess what?? You calling repeataly all day/night...Monday-Sunday...even when someone has paid their bill You better wise up..."If the collector continues to call you repeatedly even after you have hung up on them, they are in violation of the FDCPA."
I suggest everyone who gets calls from Target to remind them they are in violation of the FDCPA!
I Paid my target bill each month and paid over the "miniumn" amount due on a credit line of only $200.00..my bill was never over $200...then there were a few months I didn't pay due to financial reasons. Afterwards, I started paying again each month and paying 50-100 dollars a month. I was getting these "unavailable" calls starting at 9am to 9 or after in the evening Monday-Sunday! A sunday for God's sake! I would get these calls every single day...I later found out by searching the phone number on the web it was Target. It was odd how even though they got a payment that month, I would get up to 13 calls a day. Never saying anything never leaving a message. Well tonight...I snapped and gave some rep or collection yo yo a ear full! I told her to make sure it's noted on my account, that I am sending then their scredded card back, and I am making the last payment of #124.00 or less...and that they are to never ever call my home phone or cell phone again. I made it pefectaly clear they were never to dial my number again. I sent an email telling them the same thing. 30 minutes later guess who calls? TARGET! Target will never ever get my business, and I will report their harassing phones calls to the BB and the phone company. Sad you make payments and they tell me "your acct is over due" you make a payment and they still call 13-15 times a day?! I am so sorry I ever took out their credit line!! I warn anyone-do not take out a target credit card...
I received like 5 calls a day from tons of different numbers that were all Target about the card. They never left a message but when i called back it was for the Target credit card so I called finally and told them I had never had a Target credit card and so she checked my number and it was under some weird name. It was easy to get my number taken off, just told her it wasnt mine and they stopped.
They call me EVERY DAY asking for someone named Brian. There is no Brian! This is MY cell phone! The harass me every day and once even told me I was lying about Brian not being there! I have asked several times that they take my number OFF their list because I do not have a Target card! They say "Ok it will take 24-48 hours for your name to be completely taken off the list." And then an hour later, ANOTHER CALL! I am in the process of trying to work out a complaint with the BBB, but they need an address and I have two that may or may not work. Anyone else have any advice?!?!
These guys have no heart.. all these collection agencys dont care.. my dad had a freakin stroke while on the phone with one of these assholes. Even after this guy was told that he was collapsed on all he had to say was " well he should have paid his bills" ..
Whenever they call all I do now is put the phone down next to a speaker and play music until they hang up...
The people who are being harrassed by these numbers (companies) should contact their elected officials and file a . complaint. Such as -- the govenor's hotline for starters. It is ignort for them to keep calling when I don't have the money to pay them at this time. Why? because American companies got greedy and stold my money with their high prices. Stop using your credit cards. If you have the money to pay off your redit card every month then you don't need one. Teach others not to use them. Beware they are traps for the low income people. I will never own another credit card.
It is Target Visa calling to collect on a past due bill ... like that's going to help when there is NO MONEY in my account! Dirty bastards closed my account due to one returned payment after I had been with them for over 10 years! I haven't set foot in their lousey store since! And I found out Wall Mart has lower prices too. Good Ridens Target!
TARGET SUCKS!!! These people are such scum bags. You lose your job and can't find another one to save your life (well unless your an illegal alien) and they call 20 times a day demanding payment when you continue to tell them there is no money. Sorry I lost my job after ten years and I'm about to be out in the street and have lost everything I worked my ass of for, BUT, Yes, let me sell a kidney and get you your payment, because you are just that important. Target is sooooooo far down on my list of who gets paid and I could care less anymore. Go get some more bailout money from the fed and leave me alone target......
I pick up the phone and hear dead silence-air!!!! How irritating is that?
Yeah, so I'm late on my bill (3 whole days - send in the troops!). Why can't they leave a message? I didn't realize what it was till I found this site. How saaaaad is THAT?!?!
I have 29 missed calls from them. Riddle me this: what of my fees goes to the doofus that hangs up on my voicemail every 1-2 hours? Time for me to get a new job....
Omg you guys are so old i'm only 11 and i get calls from them...they for looking for Abus Dorehoro and i said you called the wrong number and stop calling me she imeediatly hung up and called me again later that day
We don't have a Target account and never have, yet they kept calling our home. I finally answered and no one was there, so I called back, since they'd already called and called all day. I made it past the "put in your Target credit card #" prompt by repeatedly pushing the pound key. It finally went to a menu and I pushed 2 for a customer service rep. (They call this 'customer service'?) A Leslie answered the phone and asked my name. I told her I would not give her my name but they keep calling my home and need to stop. She looked up the number, asked me if I knew a so-and-so, and when I told her that I did not, she said they'd 'consider' taking my number off the list. It was as if she was trying to pick a fight. Do these losers have lives outside of the collections game? I told her that if they called our home again, I'll notify the California Attorney General's Office. She got upset and said, "I'm discontinuing this call because you are threatening me. There's no need for violence!" LOL Violence? Perhaps these morons consider being reported to the California AG 'violence'. I laughed at her and said, "Violence? Well, there's a dose of your own medicine." She said, "There's no reason to victimize me. I'm doing a job!" I think she was actually beginning to cry. I hung up, laughing. If these idiots think that reporting them to the attorney general's office is violence, what do they do when there's a real threat made when they've picked a fight? I have the feeling that she may have been calling it violence to put on a show for her cubicle mates in the office and get some attention. She probably needs attention, having no life other than to call strangers who have no account with them and pick fights. Her mother must cry herself to sleep at night over how terribly her daughter turned out....
I'm not behind on anything. Why did they call?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK TARGET! THEY CAN SUCK IT!
TJ, this site is for people who receive calls from 8882740160. Why are you here? Some people can not pay their bills on time, and some people can not pay their bills at all. We do not need you to tell us why we are receiving the calls. I am unemployed not by choice. I choose to pay rent, utilities, and buy minimal groceries because I am living off of savings. I would have been more than willing to work with Target, but the constant phone calls have only added to the stress. At this point, Target is not getting anything from me until I'm employed again. I usually keep my cool with stupid people, so here are some words of wisdom for you TJ, from Mark Twain: "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt"
Yes, this is Target. Their goal is to drive you nuts if you owe them money. I've asked them to stop calling, but they obviously don't think I'm entitled to this request. The constant phone calls have been out of control since they started and because of that I refuse to deal with these people. A different approach must be taken and I'm sure people would be willing to cooperate. The perpetual calling method is "whack" and it accomplishes nothing.
I am in the same boat. I was out of work for a month so of course only the important bills got paid, utilities, mortgage, etc., credit cards got left behind. i've since made two payments although i was only one month behind and still they call me at least 30 times a day start at 7am and as late as 11pm. I am cancelling my Target card and never shopping their stores again!
The first call from this number happened when I was 3 weeks late paying my Target Visa--not even one payment missed yet, just overdue for the first time in 10 years. The caller said they were "giving me the opportunity" to pay over the phone to pay not just the past due balance by next month as well. I told her "no way" that could happen. She asks me "why?" Why? Why?!! Now why would somebody who has never been late suddenly fall behind? Jeez could it be illness? Lack of work? all of the above. She told that if I didn't pay that day it was going to collection. Since then I've gotten calls from that number at least once a day but nobody is on the line.
They called me on a Sunday. isn't that against the law?
880-608-7627 called me twice. Once at 9:32 and at 3:50. I dont think they realize im still in highschool.
Hey TJ, go screw yourself!!! There are people out there like me who busted their ass everyday, and then out of the blue, you get laid off. I'm sorry, but I'm going to pay my rent and car payments before I pay a credit card. For everybody else...it's target. They are pretty brutal. I've had them call me right up to 9pm(after 9 is against the law). My advice talk to them. Tell them your situation. They will let up. Well, not Target...I've told them and they still call like crazy, but try it with other companies. If I would have never been laid off I wouldn't be in this spot. Good luck to everybody out there in the same sittuation.
There is a easy solution to stopping these calls. PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME! You should expect to get calls when you owe money to a Company and do not pay.
Twice I've spoken to this caller and they have a very heavy Indian accent. Nice to know that in these tough economic times that TARGET IS OUTSOURCING TO INDIA INSTEAD OF GIVING THE WORK TO AN AMERICN COMPANY WITH AMERICAN EMPLOYEES!!!!
Same thing they call and ask for "Bobby". I am irate!!
I have been getting these calls too, and yes, it's because I was 12 days late on my payment (just paid it 5 minutes ago online). But for those of you who are getting these calls and you don't even own a Target card, I think I may have an idea about what's going on. Last month when my hours got cut at work, and I had to choose what bills I needed to pay, and what bills could hold off until the next month, I changed my contact # on Target's website from my home phone to my cell phone. I only did this to save myself from embarrassment from family members who would see Target calling up to 10 times a day. It was very easy to change my phone number on the site, and there were not questions asked. I wonder if maybe people are getting so sick of dealing with the calls, that maybe they're putting random phone numbers in the contact info on the site? It would make sense, because Target is the most RELENTLESS of collections departments. I'm not sure how you'd fix the problem, but maybe you should ask the Target reps to check the previous phone number provided for the account and see if the phone number had been changed anytime in the recent weeks. Good luck!
i have gotten 12 calls in the last 4 hours and nobody is there
To: Angry. I believe you have a right to claim harrassment. I do not think they can call 7 times a day including Saturdays and Sundays. Look it up on Google and you will f.ind something
Received a call from 888-274-0160 at 8:14 pm today;same number at 7:37pm,one from 612-852-0021 at 2:27pm, one from 612-307-8004 at 12:31pm. All Target. My bill was about 5 days late. I made the payment on line and called them back and indicated by pushing buttons that I had made the payment. It was my fault as I was late. In this time of a recession you will find out that this going to happen more and more.
Target credit card.... forget to send my payment :(
Just received this call. They left no message. I never answer or return phone calls unless it gives the name of the caller or leaves a message explaining the purpose of the call
They will also claim they have to talk to my wife as they have her name, but she is often busy. They are rude.
I bet these jerks work with NCO Financial. These calls started when I told NCO Financial to go jump in the lake..
Target calls, using different numbers, 10 times a day. Never leaving a message nor saying anything when I do pick up the phone. This business of calling so many times a day is against the law. Why doesn't the FTC do anything about it?????
I've been getting calls every hour for the past 7 days, even on Saturday and Sunday!!!! Very Annoying!
Here is the list of 7 different numbers:
Getting sick of these calls!!! I've even answered the phone and nothing, must be a computer, and they don't leave messages!
I looked up each one and they all point to TARGET.
I'm on the "do not call" list...isn't this illegal!?
It's target, they have been calling 8 to 10 times a day, using different numbers and whenever I Google the number, it brings me back to here. Wrote the Att Gen of Minnesota and the BBB in Minnesota. Target can write me, but this is illegal and they know it. It seems that creditors think if you owe them money, that you have no rights and they can do whatever they want. Apparently, that's what they are doing.
Target call services - They have a computer that calls and leaves a message. When you call back you can't get to a human so the problem goes unresolved and they keep calling. Real brilliant!
If these guys are calling before 8am or after 9pm, they are in defiance of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Protection Act), and should be notified as such. There are also limitations as to how many times they are allowed to call a specific number throughout the day, but that varies by state. Unfortunately, I worked for a collections agency, which is how I gained this knowledge.
RE: Do Not Call lists. Because these calls are not technically solicitations, the only way to have your phone number removed from their files is to politely explain that you don't know the person they are trying to contact, or don't have any way to get in touch with them. Honestly, being rude to a collector usually tells them that they've gotten in touch with who they're looking for. Hanging up on them tells them that the 'debtor' (in this case, mistakenly as it may be, YOU) do not want to deal with the matter in a cooperative way, which makes them want to call even more.
RE: If you've already squared up your account and continue to receive calls. If you have the proper documentation, whether it be an official letter from the Agency/Company that signifies your balance as ZERO, notify them of this, get their fax information and send it along. Unfortunately mistakes do happen, files are incorrectly documented, etc., which in many cases causes the Agency to continue to try and collect on a debt that doesn't exist.
PLEASE remember that these are people too. They're trying to do a job in a very competitive industry where the only things that matter are numbers. If you are not the person they're trying to reach, or have no means to contact that person, be calm. Be polite. Be respectful. The problem will be solved.
Hope this helps!
I believe this caller is from Target. I do owe them money. However, they have already called 5 times today, about every hour; they have called at least 6 times a day for the past several days. At what point is it harassment? I have already told them via my on-line statement that I'd make small payments to catch my account up to date. Twice today they have waited for the message to kick in, but they do not leave a message. I will complain directly to Target.
This number calls my house 3 to 5 times a day and it always says unknown caller it is target card services I have no Target card
no one on line when I answered at 7:15 a.m.
I am on 'do not call' list but so far I have received 3 calls from this number in the past 2 days.
Today is Sunday as well as my birthday and they started calling at 10:30 this morning and have been calling every hour since (it's a little after 1 now)...I don't answer because I know it's not for me but they never leave a message and have been calling every day for maybe the past week. SOOOO ANNOYING!!!!!
These numbers call my cell, they don't leave a message. They call my home, they don't leave a message. This happens several times a day. It doesn't matter if you are one day late or five days late, they still call.
I finally answered and they spoke. He said my payment was late and wanted me to pay over the phone, I asked him if he was crazy. Then he wanted to know how I was going to take care of the payment. He was told, "The way I always take care of it, I mail it."
(612) 852-0021 Unknown name. Asked who was calling and lady said Bessy. Hung up.
They called every AM early, for several weeks. I work nights and got sick of answering the phone to have a computer tell me to hold on. I finally called them back and waited to speak to a person. They were looking for someone who's name I had never heard of. I have had this phone number for 5 years, and I told them so. They never identified themselves. I told the man I spoke with to give me his home phone number, and I would call every night at 3AM while I was at work. He said "nothing personal maam". I said put me on your "do not call list" or I would report them to our Attorney General. Have not had a call since. I still had no idea who they were at that time. I don't have a Target card, nor do I shop there. I for sure will not now.
I get calls on my cell from this company and many other numbers which I have seen reported as target as well. I DO NOT HAVE A TARGET CARD, AND I rarely even shop there. I will not be shopping there in the future because of this!!!!
Target card service keeps calling looking for someone I have never heard of and will not remove my number from their list. The number they keep calling is my business number and every time the phone rings I have drop what I'm doing in the shop a run to the phone. They start calling around 8:30 am through 9:00pm.
Target's Collection Department
Calls constantly, it is from Target credit services. They began today and received a total of about 9 calls. This is ridicules. This is harassment and we all need to report this.
They call me three times an hour. Its crazy. Everytime I pick up the phone--nothing. Nobody is on the other end. I don't understand this at all.
I moved to another state, changed my cell phone #, and MINUTES after changing the #, I get a call from these idiots! They've been calling at least once a day for the past week.
Target - If you are late in paying on your account (by 5 days)they call!
caller id says toll free.
they call all the time.
I have received repeated calls from this number for the last three months, each time asking for a "Bobbi Sue". I tell the caller each time that NO ONE BY THAT NAME IS AT THIS NUMBER, but they don't get it. The next call will find me reporting this to the Better Business Bureau.
call to work issued cell. hang up
Yeah, I got my account current, and they are still calling 8 times per day, no exaggeration. Starting at 8:30 and going through 9:30 at night. Really irritating.
Received three calls on my cell # today alone. Called back and received a recording stating "Target Card Services." Requested entering last 4 digits of my card #. I had, but do not currently have, a relationship with Target Card Services. My account is paid off and closed, at my request. Not sure why they're calling now. I canceled because of crappy changes in the terms. I can't imagine they're interested in my business again. No message, per usual for these types of calls.
this call came after 602-385-2140 called and we did not answer. Sent in June payment for 100. they got it the 13th and July payment showed a late payment of 39.00 I sent in another 100.00 and they still say am late.
"no name" showed on caller id. no message left.
go to www.donotcall.gov to report too!
I just save the #'s and change the ring tone to vibrate or silent.
called multple times, but did not leave messages
They asked for me by name. When I said "she" wasn't available, they said they'd call back. I called THEM back and it said I reached Target Card Services and for prompt service, to entire my entire card number followed by the pound key. I hung up. When I called the actual Target phone number listed on the back of my actual credit card, it was the same voice, but prompted me to enter ONLY the last four digits of my credit card number. I smell a scam!
This is Target (the store) Account Services.
AGAIN, I DON'T HAVE A TARGET ACCOUNT, and never did
They don't listen, they just change phone #'s and call anyways.
STOP CALLING THOSE OF US WITHOUT YOUR DAMN CARD
Getting sick of these calls.
Don't have their credit card and I will not shop there again.
Answer phone and nothing, and they don't leave messages.
I called each one and they said TARGET.
Now there's another one, TARGET calling from a different #, up to 5 #'s now.
STOP CALLING ME
Now there's another one
TARGET calling from 4 #'s
480-289-7964 This number didn't show up anywhere with google but called
888-608-7627 Just found this one on this page
Getting sick of these calls.
Don't have their credit card and I will not shop there again
Answer phone and nothing, and they don't leave messages.
I called each one and they said TARGET.
STOP CALLING ME
Answered phone and no one was there. Called the number and it states TARGET Account Services.
I don't have a TARGET Credit card and they keep using different phone #'s to call me.
AS stated will all Numbers listed above I will not shop at TARGET again.
TARGET calling from 3 #'s
Don't have their credit card and I will not show there again
Answer phone and nothing, and they don't leave messages.
I called each one and they said TARGET.
Guess I need to pay my Target bill too
This is target collections. What is annoying is that when I answer they are not there, do not talk, or only say two words and then it hangs up on me. Some days they have called every 15 minutes for over 2 hours. They have a right to collect on the credit card, but their phone system is a menace.
got three calls from them today, NO messages, and I do NOT have a Target Card account.
These assholes call but don't leave a message. Yes, I own a Target card and yes I am late as hell, so fucc it, I am filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, they just got gaffled!!!!!! I'm laughing all the way to the bank, ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! www.myspace.com/teccone
Called at 8:39am on Memorial Day. How low is that?
call everyday at least two times a day even called on mothers day three times..... wrong number for a target card////I dont even have a target card......
They're calling incessantly! From what everyone else says, they sound really flakey, so we're not picking up.
PLEASE EXCUSE ME FROM TYPING IN UPPER CASES. THIS IS A SCAM. A ATTEMPT TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY. I HAVE BEEN RECIEVING CALLS FROM THEM FOR TWO STRAIGHT MONTHS, DID NOT ANSWER DUE TO UNVALIABLE BEING IN CALLER ID. THEN I RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL WITH THE NUMBER OF 561 482-7092 FROM BOCCA, FL. GOT SICK OF TWO CALLS EACH DAY FOR THE TWO MONTHS WITH THREE RINGS UNTIL I ANSWERED ON 04/21/08. IT WAS A RECORDED MESSAGE FROM A COMPANY CLAIMING TO BE ACCOUNT SERVICES GIVING ME THE OPTION OF PRESSING 1 TO SAVE ON MY CREDIT RATE OR 2 TO NOT RECEIVE ANY FURTHER NOTICES. I QUICKLY PRESS 2 TO NOT RECIEVE ANY FURTHER NOTICES. GUESS WHAT? THAT WAS ON 4/18/08 FRIDAY. IT IS 4/21/08 AND THEY ARE AREADY CALLING ME AGAIN. AFTER REVIEWING THIS SITE ON 4/18/08, I KNEW THE TWO CALLS I RECIEVED TODAY WERE FROM THE SAME SCAM. THE NUMBERS TODAY 4/21/08 SHOWED 305 392-9247 (MIAMI, FL) WHICH BY THE WAY IS ALREADY DISCONNECTED AND 202 000-0000
(UNAVAILABLE). PEOPLE THIS IS SERIOUS!!!!. THE FIRST THING TO DO IS GO TO YOUR PHONE COMPANY. TELL THEM YOU SOMEONE IS ATTEMPTING TO STEAL YOUR IDENITIY AND USING BOGUS CALLER ID NUMBERS,(ALL OF THEIR NUMBERS THEY CALL FROM ARE BOGUS).THEN TELL THEM YOU NEED TO TRACE THE NUMBER.ONCE THE NUMBER IS TRACED YOU NEED TO FILE A POLICE REPORT ABOUT AN IDENITIY THEFT. DON'T LET THEM PUSH YOU AWAY (POLICE DEPT) AS THIS IS SERIOUS. WHILE MOST DEPARTMENTS WILL PUT MOST RESOURCES IN LOCAL DWI'S, THIS IS A PERSONAL SAFETY ISSUE. I WILL POST AGAIN TO LET YOU KNOW THE PROGRESS BUT WE MUST ALL DO THE SAME TO BRING A QUICK CLOSE TO THIS SCAM!!!! . THANKS FOR SITES LIKE THIS.
Keeps calling my cell phone. No message left.
If this is Target and you are late..Why dont they leave a message?
I don't have any credit cards, my mortgage and car payments are on time, and yet these scumbags have been calling at least twice a day. I don't answer telephone numbers I don't recognize, however, but I'll check them on the Intertubes if they keep calling.
This one looks like it's being used for mortgage refinancing loans or something. They might be credit card collecting but since nobody in my family has cards, they have to be some other criminal enterprise.
someone just called claiming that we have requested information. would not say what company they are from or what it is about!
Target calling....8am on a SATURDAY
my account is paid and current...this is ridiculous.
target services looking for payment on credit card.....4 calls within2 hour period...not even my card grrrrr
This person calls everyday looking for Joseph. I keep telling him that there is no Joseph and that he has wrong # and stop calling. He says i will call til Joseph tells me that.
They keep calling for a person who used to have MY number and when I tell them they just call again a few hrs later
its f'n target
Four calls yesterday, Five so far today. No Messages left. Look it up, it is Target. I don't have a Target Card, but was a holder 6 years ago on my deceased Mother's account(she passed away 7 months ago). I haven't been on the account for 3 years, and have no card. I was not an account holder, just a valid user of her card as she was homebound and needed shopping done. They also hang up if I do answer.
got calls 3-5 times everyday has been several weeks
I called the number back & recieved a recording of " Thanks, for calling target acct.s service's.."
Also, one call from them asked me to confirm my social security number. I WILL NEVER GIVE THAT NUMBER OUT TO A MACHINE! Are you kidding me?
They call me CONSTANTLY. I owe them about $25 and they still call all the time. It's never a person. Sometimes the machine says something, sometimes it just makes machine noises at me. Don't pick up from this number, it's a waste of minutes. I am very angry with them for harrassing me like this.
They call (several times a day) and leave no message and I just checked, our account is 2 days past due!!!! I made the pmnt online, lets see how many more times they call me.
I owe a whopping $26, and they call 6+ times a day even though the check is in the mail!
Calls my work number at least once a day.
I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message - I had a target card a long time ago, but it was paid off 8 years ago.
They call if you are even 2 weeks late. It does not have to be 30 days. They called my office when the bill was only 2 weeks late. I closed the account because of the harrasement of this company.
The number shows on Caller ID as "Unknown", but tracks back to Target Account Services.
Weird, because though I am a die-hard Target shopper (some may call it an addiction), I don't have a Target card. They call my cell phone often at night, even on Sundays! I never answer.
Ok this is just dumb.
Send a letter of CEASE AND DESIST to Target financial services. They have to stop calling you. If they don't they are breaking the law and must be reported to the BBB for herassment.
This works either if you are or are not delinquent. If you actually are delinquent but you need peace of mind, this is a good way to go.
They Keep calling me, no voicemail. I don't even have a Target Credit Card. I call them and get a recording.
these people are relentless and ridiculous. i've recieved over 50 calls in one week from this number. at 6 in the morning up untill about 11pm at night. i dont know where they do there c alling from but they have no common sense about phone rules becuse i have had just a ridiculous time since these calls started coming in. sunday mornings, sat. nights, dosent matter. im about to call my phone company and have the number blocked because they have no business to be calling me. especially since it isnt a human doing the calling and they dont have ANYTHING to say!! "please hold" i never hold for someone who called me. if you need to get ahold of me SO BAD that you call me 7 times in one day, youd be able to leave a message or have a human actually dial the number. i have a card with them but i do all my bill paying online and it is always paid ontime. im going to cut this card up, pay it off, and find a new place to shop!! there return policy SUCKS anyways!!!
Target Credit Card
They just called, I didn't answer, but googled to find out who it was. I don't even have a credit card!
target services are real pain in the @##!!!They call at least 3 times a day...always start conversation with hello david..I say whos this? hello david?I say listen your calling me either introiduce yourself where your calling from or screw!!!I hang up!!!Real pains!!!!
This number keeps calling my work phone. Never leaves a message and based on all the comments I have seen here, I don't bother picking up. They call at all hours and all days including weekends. Very annoying!
Called 3 times in one day
did not answer/will not answer
called on cell # so caller id name, just #
have never had account with Target
They call 5 or more times a week. We never answer because we think it's a scam. They never leave a message.
Calls at least 10 times a day. If it is Target, shouldn't call here. I don't have a Target card. They let it ring about 12 times and I have a baby sleeping most of the time. If they are trying to sell something this is NOT the right way!
Sounds like a lot of illegal phone calls to me. And to Amber on 5/20--these callers cannot legally call after 9pm (or before 8am).
Target Collections calls regularly at 8:02am to 8:58pm told them to cease and desist and put me on the do not call list but they continue to call my cell phone at all hours of the day.
This was Target looking for someone who had my cell phone number before me. I called them and explained that I had no credit card with Target, and that the person they were looking for no longer had this number. They were very polite, apologized for the inconvenience, and said they would remove my cell number from this person's account.
IT'S TARGET. THEY ARE CALLING. MY ACCOUNT IS NOT PAST DUE. I ONLY OWE A BALANCE OF $24.00 I'M PAYING THIS OFF AND THEY CAN HAVE THEIR STUPID CARD. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
keep getting calls but leaves no message.
Caller ID hit 7/27/07
Caller ID hit 7/24/07
target collections. they call about a hundred times a day.
it was a automated person saying "this is an important call from target bank services. they said this about 6 times and no human ever came on, so i finally hung up.
I too have a current target account, so not sure why they are calling.
Caller ID hit 7/22/07
Target National Bank... I zapped them with a program named PHONETRAY-FREE that I found in a Google search.
Target Account Services
never answer this phone spammer. What an idot
Keeps calling me, no voicemail. I don't have a Target Credit Card.
they call me 3 times a day for whoever used to have the number, leaving no messages of course. i also got calls from some target in minnesota.
ALL ARE TARGET ACCOUNTS
I HAVEN'T HAD A TARGET CARD IN A WHILE AND CAN'T GET A HUMAN ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALL BACK-- YOU SEE I DON'T HAVE A CARD SO I CAN'TGIVE YOU MY LAST 4 NUMBERS MUCH LESS THE WHOLE #
Current on all payments...not sure why they don't leave a message
I got a call from this number the other night. The lady on the other end asked for "Ernest". I told her that I don't know any Ernest. Apparently the number belongs to Target. I've never shopped at Target.
This is a new phone that I had just activated that afternoon. Maybe that explains it.
Didn't answer the phone. Female voice, "Hello?" "Hello!"
I'm assuming from the responses here that it was Target Financial Services that called me. This was the third time I've been contacted by them in the last 24 hours -- though the first two times were from a Minneapolis/St. Paul area code. They left a voice mail I haven't been able to check as of yet. I have no account with Target Financial, nor do I have an interest in opening an account with them. My number is unlisted and yet they have it. FTW???
had a missed call on my cell phone. They did not leave a message.
Calls every 20-60 minutes. Extremely annoying, just answer and hang up.
This company calls about 2 times a day even on Saturday and Sunday. Early in the morning too! The latest they have called is 10pm...I have two kids, they NEVER leave a message...I am getting tired of it
no message, it's target credit card services... I was late on my payment... thanks for the reminder..
THEY CALL AFTER 8PM, ON WEEKENDS INCLUDING SUNDAYS AND THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE, THEY MAY HAVE BETTER LUCK IF THEY DID, I DON"T ANSWER 800-888-OR 877 CALLS.
This is absolutely ridiculous.
It's Target. And they're calling me about a credit card bill that isn't due for another two weeks.
How anal retentive is that.
