I receive two calls day from these idiots...always one in the morning and 1 in the evening....even on Sundays. Haven't they figured it out....that I will never pick up this call.
These people called me today, and they tried to get me hard. But I'm no fool, I mess with crooked people on a daily basis. I just hope no one actually fall for this sh#t. A man by the name of Drew called me, and I told him to give me his web address and this sh#t comes up. (Thank Goodness)

Call came in to my cell phone, which only shows the incoming #. I answered, realized it was a telemarketing robo-call, and immediately hung up.
This is one of many,many,many unwanted calls my husband and I receive on a daily basis. It seems that as our ecomomy worsens, these people become more rude! Any phone company will let you block up to 12 numbers without charging. However as we are all aware, scum scammers like these people have 20 or more trunk line PBX switchboards and will only call you from a different number. I finally contacted my carrier (Verizon) and placed a service called "call intercept". I won't go into detail but it has been amazing. Here's the short verison for anyone interested: If a caller attempts to reach my phone and the caller ID is Private, Unknown, Out of Area, Unavailable etc... my phone won't even ring. A recorded message plays to the caller stating that the number they are trying to reach has "call intercept" and asks the caller to identify themselves and the company they are calling from. Only after the requested information has been provided will my phone ring with a special ring - kind of a "ring,ring" in rapid session. This ring type lets me know that it is a call intercept. I can choose to pick-up the phone and listen to who the caller is at which time I have 5 options; 1)take the call 2)block the call sorry, I've never gotten past yes or no so I'm not sure what the other options are. If I am not home to answer the call intercept, the call will go to my voice mail. I have found that once these scammers here the words call intercept, they hang up and the greatest part.... I never even hear my phone ring!
It's not free but the $5 Verison charges me is so worth not having to deal with the harrasment. It's worth a try for those of you out here that are or should I say "were" sick and tired of the rude,mean pushy people call everyday regarless of the time of day. Being nice to these people doesn't work - but trust me call intercept did the job for us.
p.s: I don't not work for Verison or any other phone service - just in case anyone thought I was trying to sell you a service ;)

These f~ckers are going directly in my Selective Call Forwarding list (thanks AT&T). When they call, they will be forwarded directly to another telemarketer who pissed me off. And my phone won't even ring. It's like killing two f~ckers with one stone.

Let me inform ALL OF YOU what I did yesterday & will do everytime they call until they can catch on, as stupid as they are. I got a phone call from these people using another #. To speak to a live person, I pressed 2 and waited. When this person came on ( I think his name was William )he asked what kind of car I had & did I want to Insure it? I told him "there seems to be a problem." He asked why. I asked him what type of insurance they had & if they insured "LEGS". He replied "LEGS"! I told him yes "LEGS". He asked me what I was talking about. I told him this is where the problem is. He asked what. I told him " i walk eveywhere I go & unless you insure legs by warrenty then there is a problem". He stated to me "are you saying you don't have a vehicle?" I told him " I walk everywhere I go & unless LEGS were under warrenty then it would not be any good for me". He hung up bumfuzzled! !

An automated dialer called and said that my vehicle warranty was about to expire. I was offered an option to extend/renew the warrenty. I do not have a vehicle.
some Indian woman called. I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the area code. I called it back and a recorded message came on. It said "the number you are calling from is (xxx-xxx-xxxx)and read my phone number to me. It said if you would like to have this number moved, press 1, if you would like to move another number press 2. I hung up immediately because I did not know what it was and I didn't want it to unactivate my phone number or something. I got a call from the same number a week later. I didn't answer it.

When I heard a computer generated voice telling me to hold on while it looked up my info, I hung up. Someone really needs to pull the plug on the computer caller. I certainly wish I could. I'm sick and tired of this stupid computer calling my job two to three times a day. It tells you to dial #1 to speak to a representative. The the computer comes back and says it cant do it at this time. It should be law against this. Someone please help!

they call me every morning! ususally when i answer there is dead air. today it said i can lower my interst on my credit cards if i pay 10% or more-push 1 to talk to someone. i pushed one and a seemingly nice older lady told me they work with ALL banks and they can lower it for people paying over 10%! she said she needed to call and verify with one card that it is in good standing and then she would xfer me to a financial rep! i kept asking her questions-and told her i wasnt comfortable giving her my card numbner and she gave me this speech about how i am protected by the government for fraudulent activity! i was about to do it! then i hung up!! thank god!!! i hope the 30 seconds thing isnt true though!! scary!! they need to be stopped!!!

it will come back to this company www.nationsline.com they mask the incoming # for crimals, who are placing taps on your phone lines, they must keep you on the line for 30 seconds or more, the call for various reasons car warranties, invited to clubs, local voting, and sometimes they have a pre recorded messages say " sorry I have the wrong #" all is 30 seconds or more! Verizon is one of the major companies gets spammed. If you have verizon as your carrier CHANGE!!! Theses dirtbags will tap into your phone lines hoping to gain your personal information such as bank information and credit card info, trust me I know!! It happened to me! Making reports to local police, FCC, FTC does not help because these slimeball are in other counties!!! They may also call you from different #s with different area codes! and if you think by not picking up your phone will help, they wait until your not home wait for your answering machine to pick up..they let it play out gaining the 30 seconds they need!

I am so STUPID!!!! I received a call from this number (757-990-8918). I'm sure this call has been made to my home several times before. I actually answered the call tonight (3/16/09), it was an automated system telling me they could lower my interest rate on my home mortgage with the new goverenment approved HFA loans. "Press 1 if intersted, press 2 if not interested." I actually pressed 1. I usually never respond to these calls. A guy named Ron took information from me---including my husband's social security number---(I know...STUPID!!!), I was chasing after kids at the time and not thinking--as I have never done this before. The guy sounded legit, took my mortgage info, social #, home address, asked if we ever filed bankruptcy, what our current interest rate is, our property taxes, etc..NO bank account info was ever divulged--he sounded legit,as I have inquired about lowering our rate over a year ago through our current lender, then he said he would process the information to see if we could qualify for a lower interest rate and he would call me back tomorrow morning at 9AM. I redialed the number from my caller ID and it stated "the number you are calling has been diconnected or no longer in service." Under normal circumstances I would have asked the guy for his number before hanging up with him.I truly HOPE TO GOD I did not just get scammed.

I use to work for the auto warranty company in Plantation,Fl you are correct about the scam. They make about $250,000 a week in deals scaming elderly people. They purposely target older individuals because of vulnerability. I quit because the environment was completely unprofessional, there are no backround checks for employees, there are convicted felons who have disclosed to me that they steal credit card numbers and information from individuals.
I was absolutely shocked how they taught us in training how to treat customers. We were told to hang up if they ask for a supervisor, curse them out if they get upset, and lie to them saying we are going to take there name off the list.
I only stayed for a week. I'm an honest person and it was unbearable hearing people as old as 93 begging and pleading for the phone calls to stop. I'm going to inform my local tv station, this place needs to be shut down. We read from scripts, lying about how long we have been in business and that we are affilated with numerous manufactors and dealerships nationwide and in Canada. We even have to lie about what we cover for people's cars.
Its an auto dialer system, we don't have anyone's phone number, what they make us do is look at your telephone number when it comes through and look it up on white pages.com.
They tell us to sell urgency, to lie and tell the customer that your manufactor and dealer of your vehicle informed us that your warranty has expired and that this your last and final call(which it isn't). $50 bucks a deal. When people try to cancel
they still charge their credit cards.
They won't sell to anyone in Florida because they fear being found. Even the number is bogus, for Miami the only area code being used are 954, 305, 754, and 561.
The quality of people, services offered, and that sense of urgency is bogus!!! Please people be smart, if you want an extended warranty speak with your dealership first because I quit this job because of the obvious scam we were taught to do to innocent people. Called my cell phone. Hung up as soon as I answered. No clue who it is, what they want or how to handle it.
Well it's escalating since I asked to be taken off their list. I've gone from 3 - 4 calls a week to 2 - 3 calls a day. I have been getting calls since last July from these jerks. I've filed with the FCC and placed a complaint on the Do not call register but these appear to be totally ineffective. Not really sure what we can do.
I get about 2 - 3 calls per day from this number. When I answer, it's some recorded garbage about my credit card. If I select "speak to a live representative" option, the line goes dead. If I select "be removed from this number" option, obviously nothing happens. If I don't answer, then it leaves a silent voice mail message, which I later have to delete. I am extremely annoyed. I have filed about 3 - 4 complaints with the FCC and have gotten back acknowledgment notices. I encourage everyone to file complaints, and perhaps something will be done. I have received over 20 calls from this number and have asked at least 15 times to have my number removed. I just received 2 calls within 10 minutes. On another website I saw where someone had filed complaints with the FCC and the police dept of Temperenceville, VA, which is where this number is registered. Some phone companies can block the number, mine doesn't. These people can be sued, so I guess that's the direction I'm heading to get them to stop calling.
04/27/2009 - They have called again today. I have selected the option to take me off their call list. That obviously didn't work. I can't even block that number through my telephone service. That's useless too.
This call was from a vehicle warranty rip-off company. I asked how they got my name and they could not answer. I asked to be transferred to someone about privacy and they hung up on me.
This call came in offering to lower my interest rate on my credit cards. Caller informed me they had been monitoring my credit cards and had all my information, ut needed one credit card number to verify so they could begin the process of lowering my rates. When I questioned her, she hung up.

I got this call on 04/23/09, I called it back and they repeated my phone number on a recording saying my phone number and is it the one I want removed. I stated yes and they said it is removed.

I tried calling back this number becuase it had the same area code for my grand father in Cheasapeke VA area and the recorded message said the number was disconnected. They then called me back 5 minutes later.

I called back and got my phone # removed. funny thing was, she refused to give her name, just said she was the front desk receptionist. Called at work & wanted to activate our Quickbooks warranty. We don't use Quickbooks & never have used Quickbooks here at the office.
You could press 2 to be removed. Pressed 2, got a message that said "PHONE NUMBER- has been removed." Exactly like that, "PHONE NUMBER has been removed."

Good advice mdl, but they hang up when my answering machine picks up. I've also tried picking the phone up when they have called, which is daily, and the line goes dead. Other times I get some long winded spiel recording. Of course you can't call that # back because they've got it set up that's it's been disconnected.

When the Allied American Warranty Company in Florida, called me for the umpteenth time, I played along until I got the name of the company and where they are located. Then when I said that I was a senior citizen, they poured on the heat like the hounds of hell were after them..........I offered to pay the full amount with a cashiers check.....they said NO we only take credit cards. Then the guy, "John Anthony", the so-caled manager said "I don't understand what is holding you back"......I said "It's my money and I will decide how and when to spend it".......and with that choke-hold, he gave up......I suggest that we all stay on the phone and hassle them until THEY go nuts, instead of us. Play their silly game......you can win.....heheheh PS: I also filed a Residential Telephone Line Complaint with the FCC...the form is on-line. First of all, we live in OR. These people are RUDE and call constantly! I got a call today and supposedly it was from a company called ezmoneyfromhome.net. Trying to get me to sign up as a 'product' advisor. testing products. Catch is that you have to pay $199 up front supposedly to protect the companies you test for, for the merchandise they send you. Plus the person told me that they would file to set me up as a 'business' and I would be eligible for the Federal $400 stimulus payment. You know that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I didn't fall for it.

Keep getting called by this number so I called back -that number is disconnected or no longer in service... so I called the main number that "going nuts" posted and asked them to remove me. I usually get pretty upset and have a short temper with these type of people but I didn't this time, just asked for them to remove my number. they were polite about it and said it could take up to 72 hours.. we'll see!

When this number 757.990.8981 came up they left a message. It was an advertisement for Ashley Furniture. I purchased furniture with cash almost a year ago and gave them my phone number so they can call me when the delivery truck was 30 minutes away from my house. I guess I should have requested that my number not be used for marketing purposes or sold.

this company calls and says they can lower credit card interest rate and want cc number, ss#, address, etc. When asked which card this is for, they are vague, then say Visa or MC, (which I have neither) When confronted with the fact that I don't have a cc, they become hostile and say they are now going to raise my interest rate. When I asked how since I don't have a Visa or MC they then threatened to come to my home to take care of this matter. They become very hostile and threatening when asked for the simplest info. Completely a SCAM!! They need to be shut down!!

2. Consukmers fall for the ads that say you can win a free laptop on some website.
Dont give out your Phone Numbers unless you are sure of the site.

Okay I have been receiving these calls both at home and at work for months now, but it has just recently increased. One morning earlier this week I got the call at work, I was dumb enough to select option 1 to speak to a representative. When I asked him to remove me from their list, he immediately hung up on me. An hour later, I received another call, I again select option 1. In not so nice a voice, I asked, "why do you keep calling me." They again hung up. I received 4 more calls during the day which I didn't answer. Now instead of getting about 1 a day, I am getting 5-6 a day. I just received 3 within 30 minutes of each other. What a pain this is. I wish they could find these people, lock 'em up and throw away the key.
I have been receiving these calls 1-2 times a day for the past few weeks from this number. Here is a link to a REAL car warranty company that is trying to figure out who this bogus company is. On the website they said they will post an update when they find out who it is, they must be having people calling them when they aren't the ones responsible.

I was told to kill myself after I was called a retarded broad after screaming at this guy for calling me at 9:44 in the morning. I filed a complaint with the FCC and will follow up with a complaint to the FTC. Then I believe in GA you can actually file a lawsuit (in small claims court and most times these people don't show up; the better news is is that they have to pay up!!
These idiots just don't stop calling.
They have called my business many, many times and I have hit "2" to be taken off their list. They keep calling! This morning I finally decided to speak with a rep and he assured me that we would be taken off their list. Guess what? I received another call this afternoon and the rep hung up on me! I was incredibly polite to him! What a weasel! I even introduced myself and tried explaining the situation. I am reporting this to the FTC.

I've received 16 calls from these guys in the past few weeks, I'm reporting them, I've had it.
I've received 5 calls from this number in the last month. I've never answered as I don't answer unknown numbers, and they never leave a message. Was curious to try to find out who is repeatedly calling, and googled the number - totally surprised to find how many people have complaints about repeat calls from this same number!! I've now listed it as "blocked" in my call so I'll never mistakenly answer. If it seemed like there was anything we could do I'd do it, but sounds like trying to complain to the FTC has been futile.

I work for a company that has about 80 different phone numbers, that all ring to my desk! I get at least 20 calls a day from this company. Same thing everyday warranty blah blah blah Everytime I try to talk to someone they hang up on me, or if I ask for a supervisor they say they are the supervisor and when I try to talk to them they hang up on me as well! I finally got fed up with it, the first thing you can do is call the local PD in virginia , but they will tell you they are aware of the problem and the best thing to do is call the FTC and make a complaint. Now they can't help you right away with getting them to stop calling, but the more complaints they get the faster they will find out who these scamers are. I get harassed by these guys 3-5 times DAILY!!! They call from two different numbers, the other being 702-520-0076, and a recorded voice comes on about my auto warranty (which I do not have) expiring. Each time I try to talk to a rep to tell them to take me off their list they hang up on me! I ask them EVERY TIME to stop calling and have even started the conversation with please don't hang up on me...which is responded with "of course not m'am and in case it does happen is this the correct number to call you back on." To which I reply, Please take me off the list and get hung up on. What do we have to do to get them to stop harassing us!?!? Beg!?!? Guess not cuz I've done that!

The Warranty Service Center has been calling me at least twice a day.......when I ask to be taken off their list they hang up. If I use the number selection to be dropped off the list they keep calling. I have had the very same treatment from the "lower my credit card" vultures.

Since i had just paid off a cc over the internet... i thought maybe it was them so i pressed one. the man asked me if i was responding to an offer to lower my cc rates. i said yes what card are you calling about? he said visa and mastercard, then wanted to know how much i owe in credit card debt. i said i'm not telling. he hung up on me. it freaked me out because i literaly JUST paid off my cc online and am worried the call was related. i called my bank and she said it was probably coincidental and to just keep an eye on my bank acct. daily.FREAKY

I received 2 calls this morning. The 2nd one I answered and listen to the recorded spill and pressed 1 when prompted. I told the gal that answered that my wife spoke with someone last night, which she did, and asked to have our number removed from their data base which was confirmed by the person with whom my wife spoke.
Obviously there is no process of deleting ones number from their data base without having an attorney contact them.
If the readers of these messages have had enough, I strongly suggest you contact your local phone company with the phone number and indicate you problem, continue to contact the FCC, contact your states consumer advocacy organization (probably not much they can do), and you local elected politicians. Inundate them with messages indicating you frustrations and ask what they are going to do about it particularly if they want your vote the next time around.

These people continuously call me saying my car warranty is up and they want to renew it for me. The offer to remove my phone by pressing two, which never seems to work. When I call back, I get "all circuits are busy" recording.
Offered to lower my credit card rates...when I started to ask questions, the caller was very rude and hung up on me. I knew it was a fradulent call from the start! Reporting this to the "Do Not Call" list is useless because this is not a legitimate business and their intent is to obtain someone'e identity. I plan to report this to the BBB and the FBI.

My phone company (Comcast) told me to dial *57 after the call, and that triggers a phone call log on their systems. He didn't know if it would be able to see more than the fake caller ID, but he said that then if I file a complaint and tell the police that I received a threatening/harassing phone call, they could subpoena that record from Comcast. He said to make note of the time and date that I did the *57 so they can find it.

If you are wanting to get these idiots to stop calling you, the DO NOT CALL list is not going to do. You need to contact your local BBB & FBI. THese are the ones to get these people to stop calling. If you do not have enough information to fill out the form for the BBB, call them at their 1800# telling them what you do know. Listen to these people as much as possable, turning the tables with YOU asking the questions instead of them. Ask them where their calling from, what location, if I decide what I want to do, how can I reach you at what # making sure you get their name & ext. (if they have one). Once you report all of this to your local BBB & FBI, they should stop calling. Let the BBB & others know it is a bogus call.

Got a call from this number on my recently activated cell phone (activated 02/26/2009). There was a recording about the stimulus payment and how to get more money....Nothing but a fraudulent call.
No idea who this is.,... once and a while I get this call but I do not answer

Received call at 5:16 PM CT. Person called identifying themselves as being from the "Warranty Center" and stating that they wanted to renew the warranty on my car. I asked him to identify himself, but he transferred me to a recording which prompted me to push "1" if I had not complied with all recall requirements on my vehicles, and press "2" if I had. I did not push any buttons, and the call was eventually terminated to an "out of order" signal.

He asked me to confirm information, knowing this was a scam I told him to confirm my information. He stated the only thing he could tell me is the vehicle was a Nissan,which I have NEVER owned. I asked the name of the company and he stated Zero front. I asked him for his employee id number which he stated was 5172342 and I asked for a call back number to their office. I could hear many voices on the telephone in the background. He stated it was 888-317-0342 which I repeated and he confirmed. When calling a voice said "This number has not yet been connected". Anything coming from this number is a scam and needs to be reported to the police!
Why is the Do Not Call list such a joke? I send repeated complaints and the calls keep coming. I guess the next step is to buy a really loud whistle.

I got a man who immediately asked for my name. I said to please remove me from their calling list, that I was on the National Do Not Call Registry. He says, "Ma'am this isn't Burger King. We do things OUR (shouting) way, not YOURS!" Then slammed the phone down.

Got a recording to press one to lower my interest rates on all of my credit cards. I pressed one and was asked by a live person if I had pressed one to lower my rates. I replied yes andI asked for the name of the company. The reply was "Consumer Services". I was advised that they "work with every major credit card company to lower your interest rate" and that "this will not damage your credit" Don't know if it's true. I think I will call my credit card companies and see if they have ever heard of this company.
I did try to call the number back several times and received a message (woman's voice) that said "you are calling from" and then restated my phone number. After some other muffled noises the woman's voice(sounded like a woman from India) gave me two chices. "If this is the number you wish removed, press one now. Or, if you would like to enter another, press two now." I entered the number 1 (once I finally understood the message) and then the same womans voice came on, restated my phone number and said "Your number has been removed. Goodbye."
The messages and the person I spoke with were very friendly - no hang ups or obscenities were used.
This number keeps calling our line and are trying to sell Dish network with a free DVR. I don't know how they got the number, it is unlisted and only used for the electrician's to call into the office. I pressed one to speak to a sales rep. When I started to tell them who I was, they hung up on me. I called the number back and it said that our number was removed. I know that I have done this in the past and they keep calling our office.

Called @ 5:15 pm, left no message. Saw on another 'Who Called'-type site that the number is used as a front for a whole bunch of different telemarketers & is a Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems number. Would it do any good to complain to them?

Strangest thing, it was an automated service. It simply waited for me to speak my greating, and then said "Sorry about that" and hung up. It was definately an automated voice system. Makes you wonder if they're phishing for names, or recording your greeting so they can try to scam others.

This call came in at 12:15 AM!!! Who is this? Caller ID indicated "Sales Dept". No response when I answered the phone.

I looked them up on ReverseMobile.com. The call came from a cell phone in (would you believe) Temperanceville, Virginia. For $15 I could have gotten a complete listing of their name, address, etc. It ain't worth it.
