The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want
pensacola calls from 10 phone numbers:
Political calls do not apply to the Do Not Call List in Florida. Political groups are exempt. It is well known. Also we've been bombarded by Democrats and Republicans as well as Democratic support groups and Republican support groups. Annoying but during presedential election year, its not uncommon.
For me they didn't leave any message, I ignore them. If you can block the number, do so. Otherwise, all you can do is ignore it. Do Not Call List won't help you.
Added it to my call block list. Goodbye, TRAN MINH DUC!
Called 3 times today, did not answer. Hangs up without leaving voice message. Caller ID shows TRAN MINH DUC.
Didn't answer phone for unknown name!! To save our country I WILL VOTE REPUBLICAN!!!!! Lets all do it!
Called at 9:18PM. I am on a DO NOT CALL list. Doesn't seem to make any difference to the Democrats. The IDIOTS call at this time of night. Guess I will vote Republican this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This number is showing up on my caller id almost every day, they call ata different hours, even late at night, recorded voice is asking you questions and you have to press this and that numbers. we are sick and tired of it, how do we let them know not to bother us? i tried to call back this number, the message says " mail box is full, not accepting anymore messages".
This is 4th time I get calls from this number. I am on no call list and it hangs up as soon as i tried to question who this is.Friend said he was told this is coming from democrat political campaign. just wish it would stop.
I'd like to know who won't leave a message. Must not be very important!!!
Received this call on 11-02-10 at 5:43PM, CALLER ID showed up as OUT OF AREA.
My phone number is UNLISTED and is on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!
This was a POLITICAL CALL
Received this call on 11-01-10 at 5:08PM, CALLER ID showed up as OUT OF AREA.
My phone number is UNLISTED and is on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!
This was a POLITICAL CALL!!!
They are at it again! I think that COMPUTER CALLING/ROBO CALLING should be ILLEGAL for EVERYONE

We get calls from this number at least twice a day on our cell phone! Never has any live person been on the other end. Just a voice leaving their first name and telling me to call this number. It sounds like a collection agency to me. We owe nothing to anybody, we have not borrowed money from anyone, we do own our home, but that is it. All bills are current. There is no reason for anyone to call us for collections, period. I am afraid it is yet another attempt to rob our account! I may try to call from a pay phone, or go into their office, since I just noticed the information below.
It is Pensacola Account Auditing & Book keeping Services at 116 South Baylen ST., Pensacola. They do medical collections.
Called my husbands cell phone. I answered it and the recording said "this is not a sales call, this number was left as a contact number for this person". Then they left the number that was showing on the caller ID for a call back number. Don't know who or what this is about. Don't know how they got the cell phone number. I don't want to call back. Maybe if they are ignored they will not call again.
I was scammed with this phone number and was called at 8AM in the morning. make sure to contact your bank ASAP to be sure that another username and questions were not setup on your account.
OK here it is. Got a call from the spoofed number stating they would reduce credit card interest rates. Pressed 1 to speak with someone. Listened to their little spill and its basically the same stuff. Heather from account services crap. The place Personal Data Systems is supposedly run by lawyers under the name My Consumer Law Group.com (Law Group PA). They want a piece of your pocket book by supposedly making payments to your credit card company on your behalf, but of course they would be paid. The office seems to be small with lots of noise in the back gound. They use spoofed numbers and were going to actually send me some BS info packet after I sent them a payment. I gave them a bogus SSN, address, name and date of birth. After listening to the sales pitch, I told him I was in law enforcement and why were they violating the Do Not Call list. Of course he said they weren't and they would be happy to remove me. I've heard they have a high turn over rate and of course they are a scam. I think I scared the daylights out of this guy by telling him what I knew. The calls won't stop because they'll have some other idiots calling you because of their high turn over rate. The only folks who can stop them are the FBI because they are calling across state lines. The FBI can work with Attourney Generals of other states. I'm sure they will change the number that they gave me but call 1-866-659-9866 and ask to speak with Calvin. I told him the entire conversation was being recorded and that the number was being traced. He was paralyzed with fear. What you can do is to record that message they leave on your phone, call them at 866-659-9866 and play the message back to them. They don’t like it very much.
Didn't pick up. The 850 number is a spoof number, not in service.
These schmucks are part of:
Automotive Warranty Solutions, LLC
I've started pressing 1 on these guys (to talk to a live operator) and then I proceed to talk about masturbation, fantasies, and they usually hang up quickly. If more of us gross them out, the employees will feel so filthy that they'll quit their jobs! Certain pressing 2 does nothing, it certainly doesn't stop their calls!
Oh, and: may the person who recorded the voice find themselves speaking through a tube.
May every employee of this company see their children and loved ones suffer EVERY inconvenience they cause 10 fold. This is the 3rd call today. Same company with different phone numbers. This is an absolute joke and since the gov can't seem to stop them, I am relying on old Sicillian curses. May the owners of these companies find themselves bankrupt, alone and staring at this page. SOON.
I have been on the DO NOT CALL REGISTERY for as long as it has been offered. However these stupid annoying calls keep coming and more often than before. 850 432 3928 called again 3/3/09 at 11:53 AM. I had one the other day, the same recording, but from a different #. I waited until I got a "real" person to talk to and told them all I wanted is for them to take my name off their list and stop calling. They slammed the phone down.... What can we do?
This is the 4th call. Reduction of credit card percentage and also that our car was going out of warranty and we needed to extend it. No personal info provided by us. Called back and entered the "opt out" for them and the calls still keep coming. Next time if the call comes during "free" air time, I'll tell them to wait a few minutes until I can get my spouse on the line. Then set the phone down, eventually they'll hang up. They probably need to make so many calls and contacts per hour...this might slow them down from harassing others.
We are on the no call list and we continually get calls from 850-432-3928 stating they are a credit service and wanting to know if we want their services, when I told Jason that we were on the no call list he hung up.
I have gotten calls repeatedly from the same bunch (Credit Services). Each time it's either about last chance to lower my credit card rate or an extended car warranty. We've been on the DNC list since 2004 and I've told these people, on the rare occasion I can get a human to answer, to never call us again and I was reporting them. They still call! Here's the info about the calls we've gotten in February alone (all are ET):
2/4 at 2pm 305-474-9429
2/4 at 226p 386-427-6893
2/20 at 611p 850-432-3928
2/21 at 116p 506-221-4564
2/24 at 404p 506-22177526
credit services. message claims they are calling to reduce my interest rate on my current credit card, but they are not affiliated in any way with my credit card bank.
called twice in 1 day. i have requested, by speaking to a real person, to be placed on their do not call list. this request is ignored. called the ftc and filed a complaint (ftc # 877.382.4357) also see sbynews.blogspot.com for additional information about this #.
Again with the "This is your final courtesy call" and abrupt hang up on my machine. This happens with another number from FL. I called back and I reached a number that was no longer in service! Funny that disconnected number had worked 30 seconds earlier to call me! A-hole. DNC registry is a joke. Sign up for it, yet YOU still have to sign up for blocking services and and check every out of area call that comes through.
phone is from credit services
Message was same message i received from another number from Ft Meyers Florida, 239-482-3803
This # was on my caller ID as unavailable. I called it back and got a disconnected recording. They didn't leave a message.
Thanks for your comments.I'm going to get a phone that can block calls from these type of calls.
These guys call all the time. Fortunately, we are not home when they call, so when I see the caller ID, I do the quick delete option. Filing with the FTC does NO GOOD. Next time they call, I'm considering giving them my Senator's phone number as an alternate. We might get some attention to this flagrant violation of the DNC.
What happened to the Federal No-Call list? Why aren't these people prosecuted when they are obviously disregarding the no-call order from the government? They get your number and hang on like a rabid dog to a bone even if calling for a different number every time, and I don't understand how this is allowed to continue???
Caller promised to reduce my credit card debt. ( I have none. ) When I confronted the caller with the fact that I am registered on the Do Not Call registry she abruptly hung up. I tried calling the number on the caller id, but received a recorded message that the phone number is not in service.
this lady called and said would lower rate to all visas and mastercards, when I questions her , all I heard were beeps and then she hung up before I had a chance to make addtional questions
I receive calls from this number all the time -- I never pick up, but that hasn't caused them to cease trying. And I file a complaint every time with the DNC registry -- clearly, a spectacularly responsive and effective service.
Fake Caller ID
Credit Card Scam
Number not in service
Please keep in mind Pensacola is a breeding ground for debt collectors, i.e. alot of them are HQ'd there. It is quite possible that we all may share something elese in common than this number on our caller I.D., but we all may be indebted to this company, or they are a debt clearing house that purchased our negative/deliquent accounts from another finacial institution, and are trying to collect by any means needed.
1-30-09 First it does no good to blow whistles on modern phones. When decibels reach certain levels sound is reduced or cut. I guess it just makes you feel good. Second, it does little to notify FTC. The thief's phone changes numbers like dirty diapers.
We must mount an attack somehow on the thieves. I guess we are giving the low life's a job which a lot of people don't have today. It might be better than robbing a bank with a gun. They cannot go to jail or get shot at. I don't buy anything on a phone call anyway. Nothing....
I started keeping a sports whistle by the phone. I like to blow it REAL hard into the phone when solicitors call. No joke. You should try it some time. It's make you feel good. At least you can cause that one person a bit of pain - maybe even damage their hearing.
Filed complaint with national do not call registry. Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau. These low lifes need to be put in jail where they belong
I've received calls with this same spiel from an "unknown name, unknown number" before; I tried my best to sound like a clueless old bag, but they hung up on me when I pressed them about which card and which bank of the few I deal with they were calling me (I don't have any credit cards!!) I didn't pick up this latest "Florida" call but it sounds like a total phishing scam... very obvious.
I have received calls from these people nearly everyday for the past week. Today it was twice, so I pressed "1" to ask to be off the list. Once I received a woman who asked if I was ready to lower my rates. I said, no and that I wanted to not be called by them anymore. She promptly hung up. I called the number that showed up when I did *69, but that was some poor woman in FL who is constantly getting calls. She said that if anyone can get any information out of these frauds, they should contact their state attorney general.
when i answered it if was a recording that said i needed to press one to lower my creditcard rates. I pressed one and they hung up on me
They just called again. I swear I have been receiving a phone call from this number every day or every other day for almost a month, despite me pressing "1" a couple times to speak with a representative to ask to be removed from their list, which is always responded with them promptly hanging up on me. I called the FTC and reported them (FTC at 877-382-4357) and the lady I spoke with was polite but said that it would probably take several complaints to launch an investigation. So, if you are repeatedly getting harassed by this number PLEASE PLEASE report it to the FTC!!!!
I have gotten the same pitch, same rudeness, and same constant call-back no matter what I request.
SOLUTION: The only thing you can do is report this to the FTC at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
Enough reports may spur an investigation. Also check with your phone company to see if they can block the number for everyone, or at least just for yourself.
See article about these guys at sbynews.blogspot.com
these scumbags call me twice a week, told them to take me of their list about six months ago said they will, never did!
tonight they called i just happened to be cleaning out my desk when they called and i happened to find a whistle, i blew the whistle in the representive ear as loud as i could, hope he cant hear for year!
Did not leave message.
The Congress & the FTC should make a reporting channel available to all of America who continues to be plagued by unwanted anonymous solicitations for devious scams. There should be an expedient way to shut these folks down. It is obvious that this is just another one of those scammers. Don't ever answer your phone unless it is someone you know... just let your message machine take care of the answering job... they'll never leave a message because it is automated.
I pushed 1 to speak to a person and asked that they not call me again and the woman said "NO". I also have Do Not Call and what good is it?
Veiled threatening message about my credit. Spoke to someone and asked questions he didnt like and got hung up on.
Same as everyone, robocall, push 1 to lower my credit card rates. I pushed one, got a woman who reads from the same script they all do. She: You pressed 1 to lower your credit card rates, correct? Me: No, I pressed 1 to inform you that this number is on the DNC list and you are violating the law. She (flustered): No, you called us to lower your credit card rates. Me: No, sweetie, the phone records will verify that you called me illegally. Does your family know you are criminal? Were you proud to tell them that when you got this job? She hung up at that point. I love playing head games with these morons.
Will not stop calling-- I keep telling them to take me off their calling list and tell them I'm on the national Do-Not-Call-List but still they keep calling. I told one of the reps to f-off and hunk up, and he called me back and said the same thing to me so you can't even get the last word with them. How the hell does one stop these guys from calling??????
This is about the fourth or fifth call from this number. The caller (on tape) says that they've been trying to reach us with no luck and that this is our last chance to lower our credit card interest. At this point we've always hung up. Whoever heard of a credit card company calling you to lower your interest.
Ed, you are AWESOME! I loled so hard after reading your comments. :D
Same as everyone else. They call me every couple of weeks. Press 1 to talk to them or 2 to be dropped from the list. Last chance blah blah blah. I've pressed 2 several times, pressed 1 and told them specifically to stop calling me several times... Nothing helps. Just now they called again and when I asked for a mailing address and a supervisor, they hung up on me! This is pollution and it needs to stop!
This is a fraudulent call from a company that is trying to get your information. They also hung up on me when I asked them to identify the credit card for which they were calling, as I only have two and they are paid up. Thank you to the person who provided the FTC number. I am also submitting a complaint and suggest everyone who read this do the same. And hey, while you're at it, keep a whistle handy for these types of criminals. I am also on the Do Not Call registry. These are definitely cold calls. The FTC person with whom I spoke indicated they can display any number they want to and to not try to call them back.
Beware: they are a phishing company committing identity theft and fraud.
Please report whatever you can to your local police.
Got a call last week saying they could lower my credit card rate. I said sure and when he got to asking my credit card number I told him I don't give that info out and to take my name off the list or he'd bee SEEING me because I knew where his company was. He hung up.
Just a few minutes ago, a woman identifying herself as Evelyn from the same company with the same story called. I said, Evelyn? Isn't your husband's name Harold? She stammered and said, "No, it's Carl" (STUPID, STUPID, STUPID...I had her). "Oh, you're THAT Evelyn. Well, then you should know that Carl is out at a titty bar with his girlfriend, Nancy." She gasped, then stammered, "No he's not!" I asked, "Are you SURE?" She hung up on me. I LOVE messing with those losers!
These scum bags called the other day and I played along until the guy asked for my credit card number. I told him he needed to get a real job, one that included asking "Y'all wawnt frais wid dat?" He asked what I meant. I told him I don't give my credit card out to some inbred who I don't know and whose company I've never heard of. I told him I can track him down and he and his company won't be happy when I walk in the door.
I told him if he EVER called back, or anyone from his company, he'd get a visit and it wouldn't be social. He said he'd take my number off their list. Well, just a couple of minutes ago, guess who called again. Same company. I told the woman that I know who she is (she said her name was Evelyn) and that her husband was at a titty bar with his girlfriend. She said, "No he isn't" and I asked, "Are you sure?" and hung up. ahahahahahahahah
I LOVE messing with those losers!
Here's something you could try when they call. When you answer, or get to talk to a real person, say "This is XXXXXX Police Dept., Fraud Division, Sgt XXXXXXX, can I help you. For those of you that can't figure it out, you replace the XXXXXXX's with your local police dept., and your name.
Has been calling everyday for 2 or 3 weeks. I had the option to press 1 and speak with a representative who answered with a title of Credit Services Dept. When she answered I told her to take me off their calling list. She hung up on me. I have reported their number to the FTC Do Not Call Registry complaint site 5 times now, but apparently FTC's Do Not Call Registry is like the rest of the government, it no longer functions at all. I sent both my Senators letters about all these telemarketer calls and told both of them that the FTC was asleep and to poke them with a stick and wake them up. I'll have to wait and see what they say when they respond back. If the FTC is no longer putting a stop to this madness, then we need to have our Senators fire most all of them out of that department and let them get a real job and quit riding off our taxes.
Like everyone else this was a Robo Call regarding lowering my interest rate on my credit card. Funny thing - I don't have any credit cards. LOL
Message left on answering service from 850-432-3928, no name available. Received on 12/23/08 at 10:27 a.m.. All I heard were the words "good bye".
Another one of these pre-recorded scam calls interrupting my work with their "Final offer to reduce my credit card rates". I wish they'd stick to their word and quit bugging me. Previous attempts with press #2 didn't work. Speaking with an operator teaches you it is a total scam as they don't reveal any corporate info, don't know my name, don't know which credit card I have and refuse to opt me out.
We have been on DNC for years, with nary a telemarketer call for the longest time (1 a month?), but now we're back to one or two a day and that's just insane.
just another scam from fla cant wait till they get theirs shutting off phone feds and phone company wont do any thing its the same one thats been caling us for the past 3 months same time finger hut started bugging us ?????
Autobot, credit card services dept who said they would lower my rates. It was probably for my deadbeat exhusband
I pressed "1" to speak to a representative. We had a nice talk, and I tried to keep them on the line as long as possible. They offered to lower my credit card payments, as long as I had more than $3,000 in debt. Eventually the first representative transferred me to a floor supervisor. I asked where they were based, and they said Atlanta, Georgia. I asked if they could give me the name of their company, and they asked why. I said because you are asking me to give you my credit card number, so I'd like to find out how you are. Then they hung up.
I don't even live in Florida anymore. I live in Alabama and I have received this call twice from two different numbers and when I call them back, it's saying this number is no longer in service. I wish I knew where they were calling from.
We have gotten several calls from this number and ID reads "unknown name". I tried calling back several times and received a message stating that it was no longer a working number. If it isn't "working" how do they call us?
Same complaint as everyone else. Tried to optout by pushing 2 on the robocall. Still receive calls every other day. Tried talking to representative of company could not get any answer just dail tone. Called numder back and its a non working number. Wish somebody would do something about this. People being harrassed by this company need a "BAIL OUT' by athorities in this situation.
Got the same as every one else. Answered to see if they had opt-out in effect. Nope.
Love the new FTC rules that went into effect Dec 1st. www.ftc.gov
Filed an immediate complaint.
All Robo call with no opt-out are going to get a complaint, every time they call. Haha.
This should also make it easier to sue if they keep don't comply.
Rude - telling me it was a final attempt to reach me - at which point I hung up
I've gotten calls from this number probably 3-4 times in the last two weeks. Like everybody else, it's a recorded robo-call calling about "your credit card" but it never mentions what card, who they're calling, etc. I'm not about to "push 1" for any "name unavailble" call on my caller ID.
Sometimes I've gotten the exact same call, but no number even comes up on caller ID-- just "Anonymous".
What's the purpose of signing up on the Do Not Call Registry is you still get these idiots calling you?
Robocall said push 1, I did and the lady said she wanted to lower my interest rate on a credit card. I asked her what was the card number she was talking about and she hung up on me.
Robocall said push 1 if I wanted my credit card rates lowered - I pushed 1 and the lady didn't know what my account was - it was a cold call - when I asked for her supervisor she hung up on me.
Robo Call..mentioned the word, "credit"...I hung up. I telephoned the FTC at 877-382-4357. All robo calls are suppose to identify who is calling, purpose of the call, and opting out. Spoke with Chris (female) at FTC on Dec. 5, 2008 who took down the complaint.
You can try filing a complaint at www.Donotcall.gov

Their telemarketers are dumb as a dirt... Keep them on line and waste their time.. Abuse them, they deserve it!
Usually I never answer if my ID says it some odd area code but I answered it just because I was curious. A recorded message said that they had been trying numerous times to contact me about my credit. You CANNOT talk to these people. If you press the number to speak to an agent you will get the dregs of the earth who can't hold a real job. They are rude and totally don't care what you have to say as they are well aware that they are calling people who are on the do not call list. Either ignore the call or pick up and hang up immediately. Then report them to the Do Not Call Registery.
called - left no message. i will report it to donotcall.gov.
I get this call just about every other day. It usually hangs up before the prerecorded message comes on.
I received the same kind of recorded messages; told to hit 1 to get info on lowering credit card rates; I waited, finally talked to a man. I asked the name of the company and verified it -- "Credit Services". I said, "you are violating federal law by calling this number; we're on the Do Not Call Registry!" He asked for the number, which I gave him; he said we'd be removed. I told him, "I'm making a note of your company name and the number!" He quickly hung up.
Got a call from 1-850-478-7852. When I answered I got the same prerecorded message asking me to press 1 to speak to an agent. When somebody answered they asked if I was interested in a lower rate. I said I'd like to talk to him first. He said sure. I asked what his name was, how the weather was at his location and who he worked for. He started to give me some info, but stopped and asked me why. I just said I just liked to know who I'm talking to, in a nice voice. Once he gave me all the information, I worked into the conversation that I was on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I would be reporting him. He hung up.
Pre-recorded female voice with "last call to reach you" about cut off of (unspecified)credit card, with request that I press 1 and speak to a representative.
Pre-recorded message to lower credit debit
I've been getting these a couple times a month since I joined an on line Survey site & tried to enter a drawing to win some cash :( I thought the survey site was legit (like some I do) or I wouldn't have tried that, but I can't remember the name of the survey site :( Every time I've answered & heard part of the pre-recorded message about lowering interest on credit cards & pushed zero to speak to someone & tried to tell them that I do NOT have any credit cards & to remove my name & phone number from their lists! Only once was a man polite & said he would take care of it, but he didn't since they've continued to call even with different phone numbers. They usually hang up on me in the middle of my asking them to remove my number :( Hope this site helps take are of stopping these annoying calls! Thank you!
I just got one of these calls and filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission. We should all report this number to the FCC at esupport.fcc.gov .
I got tons of calls from them until I found out on COMCAST phone service if you push *60 on your phone you can block the phone number. Since then, I go the following warrenty company numbers come up: 1-800-837-0738, 1-800-253-9049, 1-800-691-3202, 1-866-440-5376, 1-866-770-7241, 1-866-311-7847, 850-438-3174, and 506-228-27328. Yes - as said earlier in this blog, they will use the extra digit number. Since putting them on block I have not GOTTEN ANY MORE CALLS - now just junk mail in my mailbox.
THIS IS ANNOYING THEY KEEP CALLING NO MATTER WHAT HELP AND WHO ARE THEY
I received a prerecorded sales call from this number, offering to lower my interest rates. It did not specify the interest rates on what or identify the company. I have received the same prerecorded call from other phone numbers in the past. I pressed two to be removed from their list, despite the fact that it did not work on prior calls. If you receive a call like this, report it to the FCC immediately. Even if you're not on the Do Not Call List, the company must identify itself when calling. If you are on the Do Not Call List, report it on the Do Not Call List Web site, as well.
Recorded message re lowering interest rates on cards. Press 1 to talk with Rep. Did so. Rep asked "You responding to call to lower your rates?" Responded, "No. I'm on do-not-call and want you to remove my number. He instantly hung up.
I received a phone call from 850-478-7852. When I answered the phone, I was greeted with a prerecorded message stating that I should press "1" to speak to an agent about getting a lower rate. I was connected to a female service rep who asked if I was calling in response to the lower rate offer. I asked whats your company. She said Card Services. I asked her address, she hung up. I am going to file a complaint with FCC today for this number
Here's their mailing address, for those wishing to file a complaint:
Dynamic Financial, USA, Inc.
4370 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite 400
San Diego, CA 92122
Call regarding "final chance to lower your rate on your account", if you press 1 then attempt to tell them not to call or question them about the "account" they hang up.
850-478-7852, Caller ID Florida call
Answered and got recording about one day offer for lower interest rates.
Selected "1". "Card Services"
When person answered, I stated in FURY that my number is on Do Not Call list. Person hung up immediately.
Aren't there penalties for violating Do Not Call?
If not, what is the purpose of registering for Do Not Call, if it's the illegal/unethical companies that violate it??
Constantly calling me, obviously not doing legal business since their number gets magically disconnected as soon as you call them on it and tell them to get you off their list. Why can't anything be done about this? UGH!
I've read through these comments & my comment is the same: the caller asks if you're interested in lower interest rates, then we tell him (Mike) we're on the do not call list. He told us it has just been overturned by congress & they can call if they want. He was extremely rude to my wife & to me. Same story when I tried to cal back- # had been disconnected. All I can think of is once you get them on the line, give them false information (I don't advocate lying- let's say this is an investigation) & keep them on the line long enough to get a real business phone # and address. Hopefully someone will do something about this absurdity. Good luck.
Call received at 3:20 pm 8-08-08 per caller ID, in spite of the fact that I'm on both national and state do-not-call lists. However, my callmenot.com device handled it.
got a call from this number. govmnt should shut them down. asked to be put on no call list because i am on national registry. who knows who they are. grrrr....
I got a call from this # and when I called it back it had been forwaded to a little old lady in TN who has been reciving several calls about this #.
Have been receiving the same call for months although never checked caller ID. Just found this web site so thought I'd add my annoyance @ this pest to others'. Also tons of complaints re. same caller on another phone blog site. Callback to the # tells you it's disconnected [how did they call??]. FCC should shut this one down immediately!
Peter from Consumer Credit Services; also called from 062-200-2682. Report to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission)9/27 0 0 et.sprk@level10. Recorded and traced.
I got the same call. When I asked if he knew I was on the Do Not Call list he said "yeah, but". I kept stopping him saying by saying "yeah, but nothing, do not call me again take me off your list". His response was "yeah, but" again. We repeated the exchange 15 times until he started laughing. I said I was more than glad to keep messing with his head and he said so was he. My response to that was I had all the time in the world to tie him up and keep him from making calls to anyone else. He hung up at that point.
I received a phone call from 850-478-7852. When I answered the phone, I was greeted with a prerecorded message stating that I should press "1" to speak to an agent about getting a lower rate. I was connected to a male service rep who asked if I was calling in response to the lower rate offer. I asked, "I am on the do not call list and would like to be purged from your list" The man told me "Get over it!" and then told me to "F--- off!" and hung up on me. I tried to call the number back immediately but got a prerecorded message that the number had been disconnected.
I didn't answer the phone, cause I didn't recognize the number and figured it was some type of sales call, etc, or if it was important, they would leave a message. No message left, but I googled the number to see what I could find.
I have received numerous calls from this number. If I answer, I get a recording that begins "Do not be alarmed. This is your last chance to lower your interest rate...." In the past, I always have pressed #2 to remove my name from their calling list, but they keep calling. This time, I pressed one to talk to a person so I could ask them to please quit calling me. When John or Josh came on the line he said "Would you like to lower your interest rate?" I began explaining that what I was actually trying to do was get my name off their list. He interrupted me mid-sentence and said "Shut you mouth," and then hung up. When I tried to call the number back, I got a recording that it had been disconnected.
I am also on the Do Not Call list and so I tried hitting 1 so I could find out more information about the company, but I was put on HOLD.
received 4 vmails from this number in the last two days with the same spammy message, "Don't be alarmed, but this is your last chance to get lower interest rates..." I never would've returned it anyway but googled it just because I'm getting annoyed.
Same thing. When I asked why they were calling me, they said when we pay our bills on time for 6 months, we deserve lowered rates. When I told him no, that he wasn't allowed to call me because I was on the do not call list, he hung up on me. Like the others when I called back the number was disconnected.
I got the call and told them that I was on a Do Not Call List-the person hung up; I got the call again teh next day;
I got the same call as Sierra. I told him I did not have a visa/mastercard, he asked if my wife did, I told him I was gay. He then said, you sounded like a faggot and hung up.
I received a phone call from 850-478-7852. When I answered the phone, I was greeted with a prerecorded message stating that I should press "1" to speak to an agent about getting a lower rate. I was connected to a male service rep who asked if I was calling in response to the lower rate offer. I said, "I am on the do not call list and want to be removed from your phone list." The man didn't say anything at all and hung up on me! I tried to call the number back immediately but got a prerecorded message that the number had been disconnected.
I have recieved this message before and it the first time the caller ID said Corner Stone Seafood in FL. The second time it said Florida Call. When I looked it up the names I found on the caller ID look up page was
Jack Heirholzer and Reba Heirholzer
2727 KELSO RD
PENSACOLA, FL 32514
Add to Address Book | Map
Card Holder services - also have called from at least 10 other numbers. Have received 14 calls in less than 4 months, and that is only since I started keeping track.
This is what I found about them on the internet - The Beaches, FL ------------Unpublished/Unavailable.
call them if you want to bug them a while.
this is their real number straight into the call center.
-warranty division center AKA auto protection center
-number is 1-866-884-6555
-call them and let them know how you feel about being harrassed by their phone calls
actual company is autoprotection.com
number is 1-866-884-6555
We've been getting calls on cell and home phones with a recording saying our auto warranty is up for renewal. Our newest car is 10 years old, and hasn't been under warranty for 7 years! I happened to catch one and pressed the button to talk with a person. Carrie said she was with "Warranty Division Center" but when I asked for a phone number, she hung up on me. I'd love to find some contact info so I can report them to the BBB!
The familiar auto warranty scam... I've given up on reporting these to the FTC and FCC until we get a new administration that might actually get off their butt and enforce the law.
"Caller ID Spoofing". Internet telephoney companies use software to manipulate any phone number and name they want. There is NOTHING you can do about it unless the police or FBI wire tap your phone and trace it... but it will only trace to a computer that can be located anywhere in the world. This problem has been noted on tv news programs many times. Congress refuses to enact laws to stop this new internet telephone scam. I've written my senators and legislators and they blow it off.
Called here on 7/31 and left a message for the "owner" (didn't specify of what) to call "Marlin Walton" with "Cain & Wein..???" (mumbled) to "call immediately" 818-251-1746. Wasn't going to call, but was curious, and found this site. If it's a warranty scam, makes sense they are asking for the "owner."
Received a call...didn't answer - no message left on answering machine
Called twice in one afternoon, less than five minutes between calls. The calls went straight to voicemail but no message was left. After the second call I tried to call the numer back an got an automated recording say the number was a non-working number.
Could this be a bill collector? I am having a dispute with a low life finance company over a fraudulent account they set up in my name. After months of arguing with them I now ignore all the calls I receive--seven to ten per day from the company and dozens of their collection agencies. They won't give up. I think this Pensacola caller is another agency using a fraudulent ruse to get me to answer. Any other credit victim/debtors with a similar experience?
they called today and my girl did not answer the phone, i called back and got a disconnected sound; so i googled it and found this. scams like this should be illegal and proper action needs to be taken by the government to stop this nonsense.
Seems to be a fraud. They would not disclose any information as to who their company actually is. They offered extended coverage but did not know what car they were offering it for. What a SCAM.
When I asked for company headquarters numbers they hung up on me. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
Your flim-flam bogus car warranty has expired ... click !
Probably one of our desperate Financial Services industry leaders that hasn't figured-out how to get a fed bail-out yet .
Called about some card did not get name of card as the message started before my leave a message call was over. My last chance to ask for a lower rate no idea who or what the call was about.
The number showing up on your Caller ID is a fake number placed there illegally by the company responsible for these calls in ord4er to make it meaningless to report to the authorities (and also why you can not call the number back). They also add an extra digit or two or a fake name, like "David Smith", for the same reason. They rotate these numbers weekly, sometimes daily. Also, they will never give you any information about their real company identity (name, address, phone and fax numbers, etc.) until AFTER you have given them your credit card info (which is another one of the many laws they are breaking) so they can zap a $900+ charge to your card.
The Florida-based company responsible is American Debt Negotiators (using their call-center company PHL Inc.). Thousands of complaints have been posted on dozens of internet site over the past year about them. Just Google their names and see for yourself. You can also go to www.heatherwithaccountservices.com for a lot of good information on who they are and what you can do to help stop them.
This is the same con-artists known as Credit Card Services and/or Warranty Services that has been calling for about three years more or less even thou this company has been told by myself and several hundred others on the National Do Not Call Registry and Texas No Call List to remove our numbers from their calling list.
It was the same old pre-recorded message call saying to push one to speak to a representative to lower your credit card interest on an offer that ended today or to push two to be removed from the list. I pushed two this time like the hundredth time, but have spoken to a representative several times over the years requesting that my number be removed and that I am on the National Do Not Call Registry and Texas No Call List. A couple representatives have replied that they have no control because the phone numbers are dialed automatically by a computer or they just simply hang-up the phone.
Is the following statement true that this is why nothing been done that I know of at this time to this telemarketer/con-artist is because both these companies are scams, and the numbers they give out are fake, and they use technology to spoof or mask Caller IDs. Reporting them to the Do-Not-Call will not work because they are not legitimate companies that can be track down. They cannot be fine, or penalize, or even caught because they do not exist to begin with in the first place in the eyes of the government.
Our caller ID showed said Pensacola Florida and the number. When I called that number back, it said that the number "has been disconnected or is no longer in service". There was no voice message on our answer machine though. When I looked the number up on Yahoo, it came up with a Jack Hierholzer. Maybe who ever is doing this "cloned" an innocent person's phone number.
Scammers - beware - I wish some justice department will go after them.
These illegal calls are most likely coming from Florida based IXE Accelerated Financial Services. Yes, the number that shows up on your Caller ID is illegally spoofed (just one of many violations of state and federal laws these criminals break with each call), and is useless for reporting them to the authorities (which is why they do this).
To get the information about IXE that you can (and should) use to report them to the authorities, go to:
That web site (both its blog and the forum, especially the forum) has a lot of useful information on IXE and links to the agencies to report them to. Only if enough people file complaints will the authorities take action to put these scumbags out of business (and hopefully behind bars).
Knew my name and address. Would only give company name as Warranty Division. Would not give a call-back number because they have only outbound lines available. Said she was in Georgia but that their corporate offices were in Florida. When I asked to talk to a manager, she put me on hold for a minute, then said that the manager was in his morning meeting and that she could take a message and have him call me. (I said no way.) When I asked which car had the expiring warranty, she gave me some spiel about the VIN getting dumped out of the system once the warranty expired. She wanted me to tell her the VIN of my car. When I asked where they got my car info, she said from the expiring warranty database but she wouldn't say whose. I asked her if it was GM's, Ford's, or Chrysler's and she said GM's. By the way, I'm on the National Do-Not-Call list.
Victoria - you're obviously working for the SCAM warranty company.
My first call from this #. Caller did not leave message on my answering machine. This 'pperson' would have a difficult time gettng me to renew my auto warranty because I do NOT have a car! Since I don't answer my phone unless I know who is on the other end, this 'person' is going to waste a LOT of time on me if he/she keeps calling.
This was a pre-recorded message saying my car warrenty was almost up. I chose the option to speak to a representative and a woman came on-line who identified herself as "Teresa". I asked her the name of the company and she said "Consumer Services" and refused to give any other info. When I told her she was in violation of the law and asked again for her name and the name of the company she worked for, she hung up. When I tried calling the number back, I got a message saying that number was out of service.
Called both my cell phone and my home phone. Both are on the do-not-call list.
An automated message that the warranty on my car was about to expire. Since my car is a 1997 Ford, I hung up.
Press 9 to remove your phone number.
Didn't leave message. This is the third call over the last three months.
Recorded message begins "Don't be alarmed...". I hung up and when I picked the phone up a couple moments later the message was continuing.
I have gotten home from work and this number was listed on my caller id. I have elderly relatives in Florida and always think it's one of them, that something happened and when I call the number back, it says it is disconnected. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry and I certainly do not wished to be bothered by scammers. Something needs to be done with all these scammers, hang them up by their toenails or something.
continues to call about car warranty expiring...I don't even own a car.
I am on the "do not call list" so when I got this automated message to press "1" about my warranty, I wanted to know who had called me since I don't have caller ID. I got a guy named "Al", refused to give last name and only offered to transfer me to someone else who could give me a return phone # and address for this company to check out. In order for them to explain (legitimately?) who they were so I could verify them, "Al" insisted that was not possible until I gave HIM my auto vin# and insurance information. What was scary was that when I refused he then told me my proper name, address and phone number, but oculd not tell me what kind of car I drove. (Wait a minute, you call me to sell me an extended warranty, but you don't know what kind of car I drive? And you refuse to give address and phone # of your company?) His sales tactic was to continue talking over me where I received no legit answers to my questions. We went in circles. They called me but won't clarify who they are. I finally said you guys are scamming and hung up.
Oddly, I probably have no grounds for complaint. The 850-438-3174 solicitor is blanketing this area with calls, but has never called me. On caller ID, thats how the number shows up, no "1" for long distance access. Without the "1", the phone system treats the dialed number as a local number, strips off the last 3 digits, and calls 850-4383, which is my cell phone number. I get a half dozen calls a day from people in my area code who are trying to return the call from Pensacola, FL, nowhere near here.
From what I've read here, and getting a call, I don't believe the 2 messages out of all the others that this isn't a scam. Anyone can come on here and say they have a real warrenty, etc. The odds are stacked against those 2. Its bad enough getting calls from unsolicited telemarketers, but to get these from a scam artist, forget it. We don't need nor want them. I'll report each and every call I get.
Great these jackasses again. They call my home cell and work cell phone, my home phone, and even government numbers constantly. I filed an FCC complaint and received a huge paperwork package back to my surprise...but anyway, they will NOT STOP CALLING and do not respect any DNC lists, etc.
We have been getting this call as well and we have also been getting cards in the mail about our warranty. The cards say call 800-978-4145. I am guessing they are one in the same.
The recorded message claimed I have outstanding credit card debt. I do not. I foolishly pressed "2" to be removed from their Call list, though I am already on the 'Do Not Call' Registry. A minute later the folks called again with the same message. I signed up for one of three Credit Monitoring Services after I hung up.
This group has every earmark of a Scam Machine!
These people call almost every day. A recorded voice says do not be alarmed, you are eligible for a lower interest rate on your credit card, to find out more press 1. I press 1 and tell them that I am on both national and state do notlists, but the women on the line are very rude and keep yelling "how much do you owe?" Then they hand up, but will call again the next day. The caller id reads unknown caller, and *69 says unable to track phone number.
the warranty has covered me on my engine problem and its not expensive at all. they have really good payment plans. i have the number to the warranty specialist and customer service. believe it or not i dont care, cuz i gotta extended warranty and thats all that matters.
This junk has been calling every couple of days. I guess they decided to try the west coast now... It is another scam... Victoria is very gullible and stupid! There is NO such company!! Notice, she never posted a callback number for the phony company. One of the only ways to track this type of call is to use the CALL TRACE feature, but you have to subscribe to the feature in order to use it! Even if the CID is wrong, the SS7 data stream will show all the offices involved in the call...
I'm pretty sure this is one of those deals where they want you to dial "1" or "2" so that they can connect through your number with an out of the country operator... I used to have people call into my office asking me to put them through to extension "1" at an old job and that is what we were told it was, so this must be the same deal... The message said that it was for cruise information!
same as "cat" below, except that I pressed 2 - not that I have much hope that automated removal really works....
I am actually a telemarketer and someone who receive alot of bullshit calls. and being both i understand the frustration. telemarketers are doing their job and we actually have feelings and understand when you are aggrivated by being contacted alot. but try to be polite and not rude unless they are rude with you because me personally and alot of my co workers put polite cooperating customers on the do not call list and i am always polite. if you call cursing and being disrespectful and saying racist comments of course you will be hung up and NOT put on the do not call list. and i know for a fact there are many companies doing this warranty thing. you may not be on all their do not call lists. just a little info on how telemarketers are. i love polite customers and always get compliments on how nice i am to them. just try to polite and ask nicely without yelling because we are human lol
I thought this company was a scam too but I actually gave them my VIN because I had received soemthing about my entended warranty thing on my car in the mail from HONDA the day after they called me so thought they knew something about it the next time the called. They transferred me to a warranty specialist and they are very affordable surprisingly. And they did go ahead and give me a contact number for customer service since I am a customer with them now. They said that the system calls you automatically when your warranty status shows as not valid in the system. So far my engine needed repair and they actually covered it! So i know its not a scam and really glad i did it because i wouldnt have a ride to work! lol They told me there company name was WARRANTY DIVISION CENTER OF AMERICA. hope this helps.
Received call from 506-224-87976, yes the last 6 is not a mistake..stated she (Jamie) was from Atlanta GA. They violated "Do Not Call List" notified local Police Department.
i am so sick of this, they can call you,but if you try to call it back, operator says dissconnected, they never leave a message.this is B.S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111
People getting these calls who want to help put a stop to them should go to the web site www.heatherwitaccountservices.com to get the info on the real identities of the criminals behind this scam and the agencies to report them to using this info. Reporting them using the fake names they give out (Card Services, Financial Services, etc.) or the fake phone numbers that they illegally cause to show up on your Caller ID does little good.
warranty division, calling to offer me a new warranty on a vehicle I never owned... telling them that, they then starting pressing for details about me, and my current car, so, they could, apparently offer me a warranty on my current car...
Told her it was none of her fing bizness and hung up on her...
don't waste your time on these folks, just hang up the phone...
got message about extending our car warranty. We lease--don't need the warranty. They need to be stopped. ID came up as Jack Hierholzer. When I tried to call back said it was a non working number.
Caller said that a warranty on my vehicle was about to expire. Asked me to get my insurance and vehicle registration cards. When I asked on which of my vehicles the warranty was about to expire, they hung up the telephone.
They call here all the time, I answer get a person on the line and tell them to remove my name and number from their call list and they hang up on me. They claim that there is no law to stop them from calling. And their phone number does not work when I try to call back. I always ask for the company name and phone number and they refuse to give it to me. Certainly a scam.
Called this morning but did not leave a message.
I got a call from "Warranty Division Center" regarding my vehicle warranty. They would not give me a phone # for their company until I supplied them with my VIN#, which I did not do.
The supervisor argued with me and would not put on his supervisor because he was "out of the office."
We don't have a new enough car to be under warranty. I hung up without talking to anyone.
I pushed one to tell the operator that this was the 11th time they have called and and that I have told them each time to remove me from their list. The operator hung up on me!
Have rec'd mult calls from this number saying today is the last day to get lower rates on my account. It never says what acct or who they are. I am also on the do not call list & have an unlisted number. When you dial the number, it is "not in service".
No msg left, most likely another place I don't need to talk to.
This telemarketer calls periodically to tell me my warranty is about to expire. My phone number is an unlisted second line, and it is on the Do-Not-Call Registry.
Does anybody get magazines from REED PUBLISHING? Is that common to us?
I told the caller "I am going to blow your head off" and they hung up... how rude!!!
Recorded message about how my vehicle warranty is about to expire. I hung up right after I heard that. I'm on the Do-Not-Call list, so I reported the call. Ya know, I kinda miss the days of baiting telemarketers --- keeping them on the phone for 15 or 20 minutes with dumb questions ("I'm not sure I understand --- could you repeat that information one more time?"), trying to make them so mad that they hang up on me or, better yet, get mad and swear at me. Good times....
Hung up when I asked for the name of their company.
2008-06-24 got a call from Sonja Underwood of the Auto Protection Center for Extended Warranty - or telemarketing agency. My (cell) phone has been on the list since Sept 2, 2005. I have received very fee unsolicited sales calls, but those I have received have been in the past 2 months.
Just got a call from this number. It was a recorded message about car warranty service. Stated to press "1" to speak to a representative and press "2" to disconnect. After pressing "2" it stated that my number has been removed, but I believe that as much as I believe that gas pricing are going to drop back under $1.00 a gallon.
I didn't call the number back or press any numbers because I have tangled with one of these type setups before. I don't respond to ANY automated call. If it's not human, I hang up... and sometimes even when it is! Beware - my last experience with this setup meant days and days of these freaking annoying calls on your phone just like TM said.
Automated recording asking you to press a number to get lower financial rates on 'your account'. Connected to 'your account manager'. Spoke to live rep, who claimed the company was "Financial Services" from Marietta, Georgia. Wouldn't give me more information. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he said "please hold", then disconnected the call. I am on the do not call list.
A call back to the caller ID number got a number not in service message.
It took a while to get the name but I found out who they are. They're called Clear Breeze Solutions. They're a company that negotiates your interest rates.
2778 Cumberland Boulevard, Suite 370
Smyrna, GA 30080
received as a missed call. called number and it was indicated as a disconnected number. would be nice if these boggus calls could be stopped.
The call starts out with the same computer message about the warranty on my car about to expire. Once again I press "2" to get a live operator and ask what company is calling. She tells me "Warrant Division Center". I have asked these people to take me off their list 2 times before. As I start to say exactly that, she hangs up on me.
It's a machine telling me not to be upset! Time is of the esscence? I hang up.
Susie is absolutely correct. Reporting them is the best way to put a stop to their illegal activities (and the annoying phone calls). But as has been posted earlier, reporting them using the unworkable phone number that they illegally placed on your Caller ID does little good. You need to report them using their real identifying information.
That web site www.heatherwithaccountservices.com has that information plus links and suggestions regarding the agencies to report them to.
(And, by the way, "TM" are my initials and not to be confused in anyway with the word "TeleMarketer".)
I've had them call several times. Been hung up on when I press 1 and start asking questions. I have reported them to the FCC, and given them the details about the number being disconected when you try to call it back. I suggest anyone else with this problem to do so as well. The more complaints they get the more likely they are to investigate and do something!
The call is regarding my 'credit accounts', no problm with your accounts but urgent that we comminicate.I have received this call in the past. They don't even know who they are calling. It is a TM to offer credit or a scam.
I am on the DNC list so the call is very illegal and mean.
Recorded message stating "Don't be alarmed. We can lower your credit payments.....
Pressing the number that's supposed to remove you from their calling list does just the opposite, and is just another one of the TCPA laws that these criminal telemarketers are breaking.
People: Pressing the number to be removed from their calling list is not programed to remove you from their calling list. It is programed to show that the number that their auto-dialer called (i.e., your number) is an active phone number, which then just affirms that its place in their massive phone-number database is correct, and you WILL be called again because they just keep cycling through the same calling list over and over again (illegally placing false information on your Caller ID with each new call they make to you). You might go a week or two without receiving one of their scam calls, but its only because that's the cycling rate of the section of their database you are in. (Some numbers get called several times a week.) And not answering does nothing for this same reason. They'll keep calling your number until the authorities bust them.
You can help put a stop to these calls by reporting them to your state Attorneys General office, the FCC and the FTC, among other agencies. The anti-scam web site www.heatherwithaccountservices.com has the information you need regarding the identity of the culprits (because reporting only the fake information they place on your Caller ID does no good) and links to the online complaint forms for the agencies to report these criminals to.
This number called my cell phone. I don't give out my cell phone number to anyone so I don't know who it might be. All I know is that it is illegal for them to be calling a cell phone! I am not very happy that I am getting mysterious calls from numbers and people I do not know.
I am also on the Do Not Call list and should not be receiving these calls. I have gotten these calls before and asked pressed the number to be removed, but these still keep calling.
just like it was somebody else's experience, when called back i got the message the number does not exist.
The number showing up on your Caller ID is a fake number placed there illegally by the company responsible for these calls in ord4er to make it meaningless to report to the authorities (and also why you can not call the number back or block it from calling again).
The Florida-based company responsible is either American Debt Negotiators (using their call-center company PHL Inc.) and/or IXE Accelerated Financial Services. Thousands of complaints have been posted on dozens of internet site over the past year about these two Florida-based scam companies. Just Google their names and see for yourself. You can also go to www.heatherwithaccountservices.com for a lot of good information on who they are and what you can do to help stop them.
adl.....I just got the same call.....this dude has been watching the Bon Qui Qui King Burger You Tube tooooooo much......when I read your posting, that was I thought of immediately.....if you have not seen that You Tube......you MUST.....have a great day everyone
This was a recorded call saying that my offer was about to expire. When I pressed 1 to speak to a representative he told me he was from "Financial Services".
He started reading his blurb and I tried to iterrupt him. He told me "Don't cut me off. When I talk, you don't talk. I didn't cut you off, did I" (he asked)
I said, "You started talking as soon as you picked up and never shut up"
He got lippy so I told him to "F--k off."
None left-I didn't anwer the call.
Someone called about low interest rates....how can I block such numbers..????
They called my home with a prerecorded message about vacation packages. I was told to press 1 to speak to a representative or 2 to have my number removed. I pressed 2 but suspect it won't help matters.
