The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want
No name came up |
nonamecameup calls from 11 phone numbers:
His name is Carlos belendez
We have been dating 2 years and yes he's Spanish
These people called, we ignored it because we're in BC Canada, it says "Ontario" on call display. I call back and it rings and rings…then it cuts out. Just some scam no doubt because you can call them back….
Someone is calling you from a prepaid long distance calling card such as Vox
Hello. And Bye.
this number calls my cell every night and and always hangs up as soon as i answer.. its getting creepy.
family calling on a calling card from ontario canada - caller id overseas 4165890379 1 pm brisbane time ontario time 11pm 14 nov 2012
Buy a cordless/corded telephone system, Panasonic, Uniden, vTech, and others, equipped with CALL BLOCK feature (D.E.C.T. 6.0). They range in price from $100 to $180 depending on the number of sets and other features (I love the Talking CID [Caller ID]) on my Panasonic KX-TG265CSK. It also has a Link-to-Cell feature (make/receive cell calls on your home phone via Bluetooth) and you can use a Bluetooth headset as well. If your home is really large you can buy a Range Extender, as well.
What the phone does is when a call comes in that is on your CALL BLOCK list it will ring once the feedback a BUSY signal to the annoying caller. Any number can be Call Blocked including 000-000-0000 to 999-999-9999.
These people keep calling me once a day. When I go to answer it, I get an automated message that says to call them back at another number. Does anyone know how to stop them from spam calling me everyday on my cell? That Do Not Call list has never worked for me event hough I am on it.
tried 2 callU back-call again soon
Starting to piss me off, they call more than once a day!
Received numerous calls from random numbers. This is one of them. Didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message

called me today.. when i tried to call back not accepting incoming calls.
This is a VOIP number can be plugged in to any computer in the world and call you. It was issued by Buckeye-Telesystem in Ohio, subs of Block Comm. Call them and complain, 419-724-6212. They are not the ones doing this, they are a reputable provider. It's their customer who has a bank of numbers that calls to get your credit card information.
Called me 3 times today. I didn't answer the phone and when I called back a message said they were not taking calls at this time.
called, left no message
this phone number is a scam. DO NOT FALL for this! they want your credit card information.
Probably that same recorded message "Hi I am Rachel from Cardholder services.. This is your 100th LAST chance to lower your credit card debt..." wtf.. give up already. I missed the call, but I get that from a lot of different numbers.
Phishing attempt to lower my interest rate, press 1 now to give us your info.
this person called me at work adn when i went to call them back they werent accepting calls.......
After I answered the phone - A recorded message came on that said it was Rachael and she had some information for me to reduce my interest on my credit cards - for more information press #1. I did that - when the man asked me how he could help me, I told him to take me off his call list. Not one word was spoken after that , he just hung up. I have gotten this call before from an unavailable # and told the other person the same thing - TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALL LIST.
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Susan,
Happy Birthday to you.
They call and hang up
I pushed the number "1" after being prompted, a guy came on and asked if I owed at least $3,000 on my creditcard. When I answered no, he hung up.
Continually calls from different people.....> to lower credit card interest. Stop calling
I just signed up for Google voice last night and so far I've received two strange calls this morning. I'm having a hard time believing that the those events are not related. Gmail kept asking me for my phone number for account safety, but now that this has happened it seems like it's all a scam.
Once I told them I had no account or credit card with them, they hung up on me.
Your pathetic number is on call block jerk.
Received 2 calls from thsi number 5 minutes apart. When I tried ot call back it said can not accept incoming calls. VERY ANNOYING since I am waiting on IMPORTANT medical calls fro my daughter with an incurable disease, do nto have time to waste with this. My number ( cell) is on do not call!!!
I am on the Do Not Call List
Started to ask them questions, lady got very angry and then hung up...everyone file a complaint with Do Not Call Registry. complaints.donotcall.gov
These people are annoying always calling cell phone, if you answer they do not talk I do not know who they are or why they continue to call. I need to go to the phone company and have them block this number.
Same person called yesterday, but used phone number 404-226-7528. "Rachel at blah blah blah." Fooled me yesterday because I thought I recognized the area code, but I didn't answer today. These people don't care that most of us are too busy to answer these annoying telemarketer calls. I agree with Jane's post, the DNC service is useless. Let's fix the national debt by charging telemarketers 10 cents for every spam call they make, and the funds can go into the Treasury Department. It won't take long to rack up a couple trillion dollars.
Constant calls from Rachel. This is a recorded call from Card Member Services. You cannot speak to anyone to have your phone number deleted from their data base.
The usual "This is Rachel at cardholder services..." crap.
Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. No message. I hate the amount of tellamarketers that call my cell. I tell em to go fuck themselves I hangup when I do answer.
Got a call today 9/19/2011 and called the number back and says that the caller is not accepting calls at this time. I am getting really Pissed off at these calls they are wasting my time and energy. Is there a way we can press charges on these people or block these numbers through our phone company?
I got a call from this number today at 9.23 Mountain time. There should be away we can press charges on them. For them use our mintues for this crap!!! I am sick of getting calles like this!!!
Call came in as OH USA. NO one was there and they call continuously. I really wan them to stop calling.
Received 6 calls from this number on my regular phone yesterday and now they have hit my cell. Both are on the DNC list. U-Verse records the incoming numbers as well as Verizon and I blocked both. I forwarded the info to the FCC.
I am also on the DNC registry, however, I STILL don't answer calls I don't recognize. Next time though, I just might, just to see how STUPID they REALLY think I am......giggle giggle. They want to waste MY VALUABLE time, I'll waste theirs....."Paybacks are hell but revenge is a beach and you just dialed revenge"
I called the number 877-506-4908 to be removed last week and still got a call from this number again today. I am going to file an FCC complaint.
OMG I am so sick of these people. They called the house a dozen times until I figured out how to use the block feature on my phone. That finally took care of that, but now they're calling my cell phone. Thankfully, Verizon has a blocking feature. I hope all of you are filing FCC complaints against this company.
This is telemarketing to lower your interest rate on your credit cards. The gal who answers the call the same voice who is on the recording to lower your interest rates. I told her I had no credit cards and was tired of their calls. All I heard was a click, I called the number back and that person is not longer receiving calls at this time
I spoke with a very nice customer service rep at 877-506-4908. She said they represent "My success track" website and does not know why they hang up when we ask them to remove us. She said it would take 24- 48 hours to have my phone # removed. Hope that helps you all.
Called 877-506-4908 - CSR was very nice and said she would manually enter my numbers in the do not call data base. We'll see what happens.
Per Jason, call 877-506-4908 and tell them to remove your number from their list.
Yeah, it's that beyotch Rachel from Cardholder Services again, only this time she found my cellphone number. I'd like to stick my hand down her throat and rip out her vocal cords. No opportunity to make her stop calling me (at least nothing that works).
If you get a call from her, keep her on the line and waste as much of her time as you possibly can. Not that it will make any difference.
Naturally, if you give her any accurate personal information, consider yourself dumb as a rock. This outfit obviously has no respect for the law, you, me, or anything except their bank account.
my cell phone registers a call from these same callers at 2140 or 9 40 pm. Guess I get to sic the FCC
on them for violating the law. hehehehe
This is a "card services number" Told Ava not to call me again, "yeah, right" was the response.
Called on work cell phone @ 9:11 a.m. Didn't answer because the number was unfamiliar. No message.
Some credit card scam. I am on the Do Not Call List, never give away my phone to untrustworthy places, yet I keep getting bombarded with similar calls several times a day. What is that DNC list good for??
called me on my work issued cell phone. A recording instructing me to push 1 if I wanted my credit card interest rate reduced. I don't even have a credit card. My home and cell #'s both on Do Not Call list.
Missed the call the first time, tried to call back to verify that this was a scam number. Busy signal first time, then voicemail to someone named "Paul" or "Carl." I am on the DNC, but I keep getting calls from people like this and other companies.
Received a call from this number at 11:41CST. I didn't answer.
Danielle: I'm not sure where you are, but each Canadian province has its own debt collection laws, similar to America's FDCPA. (A few I've seen have features I wish FDCPA would adopt.) You should be able to limit or revoke call permission and dispute debt claims. Probably that manic call pattern is considered violative where you live. Debt is considered a civil matter, not criminal, so your police may only refer you to regulatory bodies as I have.
iQor deals in junk debt and is the parent of Allied Interstate, a known lawbreaker. Proceed with caution and without panic.
Can someone please help me because these people have called me 20 times today alone! Every single time i tell them i don't have anything, 20 min later, ANOTHER PHONE CALL!! Can the police help me???
Dead silence on the other end. Maybe someone breathing into the phone, but cant be sure. I hung up.
The call is from Card Holder Services wanting to give a new rate on a credit card. I hung up. The only reason I answered is I though one of my children needed me. I was at work and this is my cell. I don't give my cell number out to anyone but my children. I have a home phone. It is apparently dedicated to nuisance calls. I guess they are now going through looking for viable cell phones. I will never do business with anyone who calls me. I do not trust doing business over the phone. They can mail me something and after I do research to see if I am interested or if it is legitimate, then I will make a decision.
no one there, but I'm sure it's probably card holder services.
Jason thank you for the number to customer service. Call them and they were able to add all 3 of my cell phones to their list of do not call. Very nice on the phone, better than the people who are on the line when they call you.
I do not answer numbers that I do not know, especially from out of state callers. This number just called me so I came online to see who owned the number. Whitepagges.com does not have that number listed at all. In a search for the area code I found it is from Ohio and I for sure do not know anyone there. I am on the do not call list and no one except for the people I personally give my cell number to has it. I wish the FCC would actually step up and do something about these frauds.
Received a call at 12:36 p.m. on 9/15 on my cell. Also on the "do Not Call" list.
I have called the state attorney general about this and the FCC. All I ccan say is TURN THEM OVER TO THE FCC EVERY TIME THEY CALL The only way to stop these people is to put enough pressure on the FCC to make them put pressure on the phone company - believe me they could find and stop them if they thought it was important enough
Received call at 11:38 AM on my cell. No message. I am tired of getting this calls! I am on the DNC and have recently reregistred just in case.
Got a call from this number wanting my credit card information to lower my rates....when I called back they hung up on me
Who is this????
Identified my first name and company as I answered my company cell phone. No one spoke. Hung up after 10 seconds.
I didn't pick up this call
4818 Angola Rd.
Toledo, Ohio 43615
These people are rude. They simply hang up on you when you request that they not call.
I have this site bookmarked. Wish I hadn't fat-fingered the phone number while the phone was ringing....I could have answered, "Hi, yes, may I speak with Carl please?" :)
Called cell. Didn't recognize so didn't answer. No msg.
This number called my 11 year old's cell phone that is registered on the Do Not Call List. He didn't answer because he has been told not to answer any calls if he is not familiar with the number. I am filing a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry.
Thanks you Jason! I called 877-506-4908 and spoke to customer service who said that they will "remove my number from the database". When I asked them why I was being called when on the Do Not Call List she said, "We represent 10 companies and we don't have any idea how they obtain phone numbers to call." It is incredibly frustrating. Hopefully I am removed.
CLC, Jerry, and others: Do you see how long this thread has become in but a few days? The DNC registry works pretty well with honest businesses. It is not a magical shield that repels every unwanted caller in creation. You expect somehow that career criminals with sequential dialers should also scrub the list?
Pile on the complaints also with the FTC and attorneys general. In 2010 the FTC shut down several credit reprice scammers based on a critical mass of complaints. The ''Heathers'' and ''Rachels'' breed and scatter like roaches, making them very hard to round up, and regulators cannot do this alone.
Received a call from this number at 11:32 am 9/15/11.
Stupid random numbers calling my phone!
When you try and call this number back, you only get a busy signal.
Call their customer service line at 877-506-4908 and asked to be removed. The operator claimed they were not the company that called, but they handle all incoming service calls for 10 different companies that use these methods. Something about a "My Success Credit Program". Have fun with the number.
Received call at 9:15 am. No message. I am on the do not call list.
I received a call at 9:44 a.m. didn't answer. My wife received a call at 9:53 a.m. didn't amswer. Neither time did the caller leave a message. We are on the don't call list, however it doesn't seem to work.
received call at 10:47 a.m. on Sept 15, 2011, no message left
Interesting that I should get a call like this after signing up for my free credit report through Zendough.....am wondering if this is connected.
ref: credit card account................SCAMMER DO NOT GIVE ANY ACCOUNT INFO TO THIS NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get this about once a week. I never answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize.
After reading the comments posted for this # I will be sure to not answer if they call again! Good info, Thank you!!
I filed a complaint with the Do not call Registry. When I advised that I was on the Do Not Call List, he said, "I don't care" and hung up.
Keep calling my cell phone and does not leave a message
Called my cell phone and did not leave a message
Recorded message was Rachel from Card Services. Said my credit card was fine; however, if I called them they could possibly lower it to 6.5%. My phone number is a do not call number and I will be reporting them on the national do not call site for calling me.
cell phone keeps getting this #, i wont answer.
This number calls my home phone. Now I got call on cell. The call is a recorded message offering a interest reduction on credit card and to talk to operator, press #1 on dial. When I did first time, I told them I'm on do not call list. I did it again yesterday and they wanted to know if I was calling about interest rate and I said yes and wanted to know who they were, what the name of their company was, and they hung up. My home and cell numbers are on do not call list.
just think, if they put all that energy into legit stuff-----they would get a pay check!!! it's so pathetic how some people are so painfully """" DUMB!!!!!! """""
Got those on my home and both cells about ten times now... and at all hours. If anyone finds out who these scumbags are, please post it... We will then all rise as one and slay them! Clearly law enforcement and government agencies are worthless in combating this problem. Big surprise.
Got call couple times, is there any law to catch them and stop to bothering ?
Called them back, and "Carl" isn't accepting messages at this time. I hope these people
Get found, and shot.
They call themselves credit card America. Press 1 to lower your interest rate. So a guy answers and says so you're calling to lower your interest rate? I said no.. I want you to take my number off your list. Then he hung up on me. Yeah, this is happening to a lot of people. What I want to know is how to stop them? I even heard they are scrambling the number that you see on your caller ID. We got to get them!
IF SOMEONE LOCATES THE SHOP WHERE THESE SCAMMER-THIEFS ARE WORKING FROM, HOPEFULLY THEY WILL MOW THEM ALL DOWN WITH AN AUTOMATIC WEAPON...THAT WILL BE A GREAT SERVICE TO HUMANITY!
I think it a dude who was thinking of what is going on as he was going to see if what was real in dealing with it as being on the right side of things
Bad enough they harass both lines at our house for four years, now they harass on the cell phone!
The next time you see this number and choose to answer, have a loud whistle to blow. Don't give them a chance to talk.
got a call from this number from a lady who wanted to lower my interest rates on my Credit cards. Knew right away it was a scam but i wanted to see how far she would go. She asked if my card were over limit or maxed. I asked how she got my number and she hung up called back and it was busy. Later I called back a got a voice male message from a man named carl that his box was filled. Sounded to be an african american voice from the diction. That is only a speculation. Will report to the local police this call because I don't like to see senior citizens scamed this way. The lowest of low people do this and the lady working for the organization and the person whose number it is should be sentenced to jail for even an attempt.
Just got the same call. Didn't press 1 or anything, just hung up.
Called my cell phone but signal dropped the call (Lucky me)
They called and I listened to the message about my credit card. The message directed me to press 1 to speak to an operator. When "Mike" took my call, I asked the name of the company and he said Cardholder Services for Visa and Mastercard. When I asked them where they were located he said "Your anus" and hung up.
Super scam. I don't even own a credit card. And why would a real company Call you without telling you their name. Lame
I don't answer calls from long distance numbers I don't know. They did not leave a message. I won't call them back either
I received a call from this number, did not recognize it so I rejected it. I have been getting more and more calls from unknown numbers. I too am on the the do not call list. I am in PA
unknown - didn't leave message, of course.
The company offers to get you reduced interest on your credit cards. The company uses multiple different company names and different telephone numbers from various parts of the country but this one is from Ohio.If you enter #1 to speak with an operator, and start to ask a question as to their company name, etc, or ask to be removed from their database, they immediately hang up on you. Some reps even swear at you and yell over your questions. I am on all do-not-call lists, but I continue to get calls on both my home and cell phone.
I just got a call from this unknown number also and when I tried to call back the line was busy. How do they get our cell #'s, and I'm on the do not call list. Alot of good that did. I am in MN.
Gentleman answered when I pushed 1 and when I started to say something he hung up on me.
Got this call on my cell. They didn't leave a message.....guess it's better fishing for them if you answer the phone! I'm also on the do not call registry.
Told them to F_ _ _ Off!
I don't understand how to stop getting these calls if all they do is hang up on you
This is the new thing ... THE SOB hung up if you say anything other than "yes".
I suggest that when they call, engage them, talk to them as long as possible and get information about the company. This is happening a lot and we need to get together and get back at them.
They hung up on me as soon as I tried to ask them who they were from...Just don't answer!!!
From Put-In-Bay, OH. Called on my mobile while at work (1417 EDT). Also has called my landline in the past as Rachel from Card Holder Services (Toldeo, OH). Scumbags.
left no message
I am on the Indiana do not call list, this is a credit card scam
Credit card scam. The only credit card companies with whom I do business (for example, USAA) would not contact me in such a manner. I'm on the "do not call" registry, so I don't know where they obtained my phone number.
Received a call, but they hung up as soon as I answered as if I were a business.
Okay. these folks have been using different numbers and calling about lowering credit card rates. They are scam artists and law breakers. They just want your money. Putting them on the DNC list won't work because they don't care. Your bank will not call you. You will have to call your bank to get your rate lowered and they probably won't lower it without a fight anyway. One of two solutions for these folks as I see fit. 1. ignore them altogether - if you don't recognize them don't answer. 2. Waste their time - be careful, go slow, and give them the most fake info you can. Pretend to be feeble and stupid. My vote is to ignore them. Don't get mad because then they win. By the way - the reason they ask if you pressed the number one is because they don't know what number you pressed and by answering yes to pressing number one then they know how stupid you are and have got a chump on the line.
The number 567-225-4427 is from Toledo Ohio
I am at work on lunch and got a call from this number. I looked it up here and realized it was a scam number. I figured it was from the odd looking number, plus yesterday, I received numerous scam calls (all of which I ignored). I refuse and reject these calls,as well as add them to my "blocked" list.
These people are ridiculous and I believe they are getting our info through Career Builder. That will be the last time I apply for a job through them.
At 9:23 am I got a call from this same phn#. I'm going to "block" it! If anyone needs to get put on the "Do Not Call Registry" the phn# is 1-888-382-1222 this is for your cell phn. I just re-did my cell phn and it takes about a month to cycle through before the call stop.
Yeah I have received several calls from these dingbats and this time I decided to talk to them and the lady was like "ewww I know you didn't just yell in my ears" I said yes I did because you are lying to me about who you work with!!! MY BANK would never call me and solicite with your attitude and lie to me that you work with my bank....BEWARE EVERYONE DON'T BUY INTO THIS JUST DON'T ANSWER OR HANG UP!!!
I get this call every once in a while. I too am tired of getting calls from this number as it comes to my work phone. When press #1 and ask to be taken off their call list they immediately hang up as well. The guy said his name was "Rick" that answered.
I get this call every once in a while. I too am tired of getting calls from this number as it comes to my work phone. When press #1 and ask to be taken off their call list they immediately hang up as well. The guy said his name was "Rick" that answered. Rick the Prick.
phone scam call from 567-225-4427 on 9/14/11 at 9:08am MDT. "Credit card services" offering a lower rate on an account I don't have.
I am tired of getting calls from this number. When I ask to be taken off their list they immediately hang up. How can I file charges?
Advise them to get a will--they will need it soon.
Got a call in the middle of a meeting. Sent it to voicemail but they didn't leave a message. I will be prepared to waste as much of their time as possible if they call back.
When I tried to call this number back, I got a message saying that mailbox to which this number belongs is full.
I didn't answer but came looking here. Call from my phone says it's coming from Ohio,
I can't beleive they can't be stopped. Why isn't the FED's looking at the phone number and determining who requested the service for that TN? If it takes a search warrent, so be it.
Call came in to business phone and no one there
Wanted to discuss credit card
Oh i hope this motherf****r gets caught. i finally answered today told them i had no credit card and the basterd hung up on me. do these people really have nothing else to do in their spare time. I feel sorry for the people they actually get numbers out of. And to CARL karma is a bitch and it comes back worse than what you put out so watch your ass cuz you'll get yours someday.
Got a call on my cell during work. I don't give out my cell number to anyone, so this had to be an auto-dialer. They didn't leave a message, so I put them on 'block' status.
Scam - unknown card hold services
Received call from this illegal scam. Called back and vm says "Carl" but will not allow me to leave a message. Filed complaint with FTC and have alerted Verizon Wireless fraud investigation unit.
These scam bastards called me again and this time answered and pressed 1 and ask to talk to a manager and the male voice on the other end said " fuck you lady " and hung up on me.....
call came in to my cell. called Sprint and they blocked on all my cell lines...no charge! gotta love Sprint!! I also reported to national no call. Will do same for my state no call list. I am wondering what it is they want?
Card holder services been calling me for over a year. I play games with them .....They ask me for a credit card number so I give them a false one they say sir thats not a valid number then they hang up on me. They say they are from Florida. This is a scam our attorney general says they cant catch them...One time I stayed on the line after they hung up on me and I heard an auto dialer calling out....a old lady picked up and I could not hear the credit card service person but the old lady seemed flustered and gave out her credit card number to them. These people must be stopped....But how???
I don't even own a credit card and they are calling from card member services... HMMMM......Nice try dumba@@es.
Caller did not respond......
They said it was my last chance to lower my inrest rate; the first time they called the recording said to dial 5 to opt out of future calls, which I did; this time I dialed the 1 to be connected to an operator; when she answered she asked if I dialed 1 & I told her, yes, because last time I dialed 5 to opt out & that apparently didn't opt me out; she hung up on me! I tried to call back and got a recorded message that the mail box I called was for 'Carl"
Credit card balance trasfer scam -- hung up on me as I asked to be put on their do not call list
I'm on the do not call list, and yet they call me. GRRRR!
scam - recorded messaged from someone claiming to be Rebecca from Card Holder Services. there's nothing wrong with "my" account but she can help me lower my rates if I call the number back.
reported complaint at Gov DNC:
Called cell phone. Unknown.
wierd company told me to tak a bath and get off the phone
We receive DAILY phone calls from these people. Nothing stops them. I blew my top when they called my cell. Talk about wasted minutes.
when it said put-in-bay oh i almost answered it, glad i did not
It called, but I didn't answer. Came up as UNKNOWN.
Did not answer.
This one said Rachel from Cardholder Services. This was very erie because I just had a friend named Rachel pass away yesterday. However, I keep getting recorded calls from this place advising me that I only have so much time to have my credit card insterest lowered. In the past, it has been different numbers, blocked numbers, and always no name for the caller id.
Scam to 'lower my interest rates'. When I tell them to take me off their list or ask for their identification, they hang up. I am also on the do not call list but they call every day.
The fine is $11,000 max. This is an autodialer, which are illegal in some states. Besides, when I tell them what my current rate is, they say, sorry, cant help you. Then hang up on me. Bitch.
My cell phone had a BLOCKED NUMBER LIST. Android rocks!
did not pick up
These people are scammers.Rachel from Cardholder Services
They call my home, my business, my cell phone. Always the same. Pressing "2" to be removed doesn't do anything. They call every day. I already registered a complain but nothing seems to be done.
My phones are registered on the "do not call" list but they don't care. Hope someone can find these crooks and blast them. There's actually a 18,000.00 fine for each call made to people registered on the "do not call" list. If the government took that seriously it would bring a lot money in just by sending fines to these crooks.
Been getting calls for a while and not answered them, today I pressed 1 as I was getting annoyed as they were calling a number I do not apply to my credit cards. When I started asking my own questions on their identity the guy on the phone started getting smart mouth with me, I asked which card he was calling in reference to and he said he could not tell me that and said that was not a smart questions to ask, I blew him off and hung up and reported to national do not call registry. Do not give people at this number any of your personal details.
We blocked the number from this jerk-off
Got call from this number and went through his pitch. He said name was Derrick Stone from Card Member Services. They are a credit card consolidation company. I took up as much of his time as I could while browsing the Internet. Told him a bunch of BS info and would not give credit card info out (obviously). Told him my wife had that info and i was at work (he called on cell) - he is going to callback tomorrow at 1030 - so will waste more of his time. Got a reported friend at the local news ...should bring him in and do a SCAM story on these boners!
Did a call back and it said "Carl" couldn't take my call and the mailbox was full. Filed FCC complaind. Do it each and every time folks, only way to shut them down.
Call from this number, says OH, USA. Did not leave a message
I have received multiple phone calls from this number. The first time I asked which credit card they were calling about and they hung up. The second time I told them I am on the Do Not Call list and they hung up. I have also ignored it multiple times
Third time I've received this call. I hung up.
I stayed on the line and spoke to a Patrice. Asked that my number be removed from their call list as I have no need to lower my rates as I have no credit cards. She hung up on me.
Offering a credit card interest reduction service
This time they hung up, but I talked to these clowns once. They said they could lower my credit card interest rate and then asked how much of a balance I was carrying on my cards. When I told them a few hundred dollars, the guy said, "You are not eligible," and hung up. They are trolling for people with huge credit card balances and will try to enroll them in a program where they combine multiple credit card debt into one lump sum and then negotiate with the card companies for a lower rate to pay it back -- but then they charge a monthly fee to the cardholder for doing all this and making the payments every month.Probably not illegal, but they prey on people who have gotten themselves into bad credit card debt and can't figure out how to get out from under it on their own.
NO MESSAGE AND BUSY WHEN RETURN CALL
Did not answer call.
Credit card scam to lower interest rate, pretending to be my own bank.
card services scam
If you call back, it's just a mailbox that says "CARL" - i've gotten the exact same mailbox message from another phone number. My guess is that this is some scam thing, but nothing big. regardless, it's not legitimate.
I called the number back 2x; the first time it was busy the second time it went to a voicemail box and stated the mailbox for "Carl" was full.
I take back my advice to mess with them. Judging by the apparent fact that they spoof phone numbers tells me that they could spoof yours if you make them mad. Just hang up on the recording then file a complaint. It is your only recourse.
This is a credit card scam and these people are criminals!
Scam number attempted to reach operator by pressing one to get more info to report to FCC, however was disconnected and unable to call back. Reached busy signal upon calling back. Number seems to be scam related.
What you said tells me that the scammers, erm, "telemarketers" are just spoofing some poor guy's number on the caller ID. I would bet Carl will be changing his number soon, and his voicemail box is full of angry people just like you and me. This number probably has nothing to do with the actual callers, especially since the comments are just starting to come in on this number today.
These people are not legitimate. They are probably trying to get your personal info for ID theft. You will often find that if you ask for a supervisor or any information about who they are you will be met with profanity and hostility, or they will simply hang up and call you back on another day. They do not maintain a do not call list, so don't bother asking them to add you to one. They will keep dialing your number and wasting your time and minutes.
File a complaint with the FTC and your phone provider. Then each time they call from a new number, either add it to call blocking on your home phone, or set a silent ringtone on your cell phone for that caller.
Or answer, speak really softly so they have to turn up the volume on their headset, then blast them with an air horn.
They told me their company name is Account Services. I told him that was fishy and I didn't want to give any information out. He went on to tell me how I was protected from any fraud. When I told him I was still hanging up he told me to have a "blessed day."
SCAMMERS. Please help stop these people by reporting them to the DNC complaints.donotcall.gov It only takes a minute and may help to stop these calls. Thanks
Missed the call, and when I called it back it went straight to voicemail. The person's name seems to be "Carl!" or "Callll!"
The voice mailbox was full. I guess I could try again later.
They just called and woke me up. I pressed one to talk to one of their telemarketers and find out who they are. As soon as a real person came on and I asked, they instantly hung up, so clearly they know what their doing is illegal (if you're on the no-call list.)
Called my cell phone, which is on Do Not Call list. Recording tells me that it is regarding my credit card, and there's no problem but I need to contact them right away about lowering my interest rate. I don't have my cell phone listed with my credit card companies.
First automated voice claims there is a problem with my credit card and that I need to press #1. I do wanting to tell them that I am registered with the Do Not Call. When "Tom" answered and I told him, he hung up on me.
he didnt want to tell me his name when i asked him.
ICOR Canada. Called me AGAIN. I didn't answer, but immediately called back. Man with Indian accent, claiming to be calling from Toronto. Said not selling anything, was a financial company. Wanted my number to find out why I was called. (Yeah right buddy.) Told him his company is harassing people, and you're in deep trouble if citizens or regulators find out where you are. He said thank you sir and hung up.
hi, new to the site, thanks.
