The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

nne calls from 3 phone numbers:
They've also called me several times recently. I don't pick up because I don't know the number and they don't leave a message. For me anyway, I can tell you they definitely ARE NOT-
-credit card company- I have NO credit cards, zero, I don't believe in them
-student loans- I've been out of college for decades AND I had a full scholarship when I was a student
-major bank- I've only ever banked at our local, independent credit union
-car loans- I paid cash for my clunker
-debt collector- I (fortunately) have no debt and all my monthly bills are withdrawn directly from my bank account each month
Also, I only recently got this cell phone and I've been EXTREMELY selective about who I've given this number out to. This particular number isn't associated with any of my accounts (haven't gotten around to changing it from my old landline).
For me anyway, this is most definitely either a mistake (transposed numbers) or much more likely- phishing/trolling/fraudulent/nuisance calls. I just confirmed that my cell number is in the do not call registry.
They've called repeatedly! They are from HSBC I pay online and for whatever reason, the payment is pending (I know I have $$ in the bank), the payment was pending - exactly ONE DAY late! I think sometimes they hold the payment, even if you've scheduled it on time, so that they can charge a late fee. :-(
I am tired of getting calls from these people. It happens three times a day. I am really annoyed with it.
AS OF 05/01/2013 IS THIS CAPITAL ONE. THEY TOOK OVER ORCHARD BANK. THEY CALLED AND HUNG UP WHEN I ANSWERED. I CALLED BACK AND THEY WERE TRYING TO COLLECT $25 FOR A PAST DUE PAYMENT. FUNNY, THEY WANTED TO VERIFY MY PHONE NUMBER BUT IF I'M RETURNING THEIR CALL EVIDENTLY THEY HAVE MY CORRECT NUMBER.
Multiple calls, don't know who they are. That kind of info looks like a debt collector, and I see HSBC on here, but we don't owe them any money, nor Capital One who just bought them out, so I don't know why they are calling and not leaving messages.
I have been on the receiving end of these "wonderful" people up to 7 times per day starting at 8:30 am central time and ending at 9:00 pm central time - no messages left, and when you answer there is no one there.... Anyway no unpaid debt here... so wonder "who" they are looking for, unless you tell me I cannot tell you have dialed the wrong number....
maybe mr "pay your bills" has never had hard times where they literally cannot pay your bills....lost a job, had medical expenses...whatever....why dont you shut the heck up and worry about yourself and stop judging others who are having a hard time, jerk.
HSBC Telemarketer they have been red flagged.
You all bitch about the calls how about paying your bills. Just by not ignoring them and making payment arrangments on what you loan will fix the calls. I know I'm 7 days behind on my payment and thats where my vall comes from. Stop being a fucken dead beat and pay your debt
Ryan, I don't know where you got your ''understanding'' of a ''$1,000 per incident fine''. $1K is the FDCPA statutory damage cap, awarded to a winning plaintiff *per action*, not per violation. FDCPA applies only to a third party debt collector, which a lender is not. You would have to catch an original creditor (OC) posing as something it's not before you have a FDCPA claim.
If you still want to litigate against the bank's collectors, you'll need a state collections law which covers an OC. You can also see if you have claims under TILA, UCC, or deceptive trade regs. Don't expect to get rich, though. Capital One bought most of the HSBC credit card portfolio this Spring, which includes the Orchard accounts, and they looooove going to court and punishing their debtors.
Most HSBC Credit Cards Become Capital One Credit Cards
All said, keeping careful records and reporting to the FTC and attorneys general make a healthy response to a huge problem, mainly the general lack of control over hostile in-house collectors. Ten calls a day on average is difficult not to paint as annoying and possibly violating your rights. You would be well advised to send the caller a ''cease communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card. This will raise future incidents to harrassment, thus to clear a path to a civil damage award. Maybe your state can impose a criminal penalty as well.
Since 9-19-12 gotten phone calls (upwards of 60 since I started keeping track of the number) from this number than invariably at least two calls come from an unknown caller. they don't leave a message. we rarely answer the phone regardless of who calls. i am now taking pictures of the date, time, and phone number so that when i have received 100 calls from this number, i will be filing a complaint with the FTC. At the rate this number calls, it shouldn't take more than a week. My understanding is there is a $1,000 per incident fine that will pay for our next vacation.
It is Orchard bank. You will only receive this call when you are late on making a payment.
Annoying and won't stop. Seems to be trying to send a fax.
Mr. Rutherford, No one else reading this page can ''please stop these calls'' on your behalf. Your caller is not going to dutifully study random forum complaints and cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You will not get compliance with your orders until you deliver them DIRECTLY to your caller.
Message only says enter the last 4 numbers of the credit card number when you call it back. It cannot be blocked. I don't know who this is but they call constantly. Please stop these calls!
This is Orchard Bank
This number calls every day of the week and never talks when we say hello.....the calls come late and all day on Saturdays along with Sunday calls.....How do I stop these people?
no message called 15 times from 6am on...
They keep calling regardless what we tell them. They ask for Leslie. This has never been Leslie number at least not for the past 8 years.
Yes it is HSBC Collections
My son rec'd numerous calls on his cell phone from this number and from 8003952274. I looked both up and both say HSBC. My son is a 17 year old High School student and is getting very irritated by these calls. He does not have accounts with this company and probably never will due to their rudeness.
Calls must stop!
card services hsbc bank
HSBC card services wants payment.
These motherfuckers call 8 - 10 times a day. When I answer there is no one on the line. I hate this fucking shit.
They call so many freakin times a day!!! Its like these people have given our number to these third party bastards! We get calls from places constantly and there all scams!!! Actually, the same place that has been calling us was on the local news the other night!! they will tell you that your in trouble and you have a court date and shit! Tell them you called the FBI on them and that you have a tap on your phone line! it works haven't called since. annoying assholes!
Received calls twice 11/29/11, no one would say anything!
They called twice today 1 min apart. I have a landline with caller id and no ringer, so my phone doesn't ring! The bottom line, if I know who you are, I answer the phone. If I don't know who you are or you block your id, then you can just sit there and listen to line noise cause I'll never pickup. I've had scam numbers call me for YEARS and I've NEVER ANSWERED THEM. Not even once. You would think that after calling the same number for 3-4 years that they would just give up on that number and move on but no, they are idiots and they keep calling. My cellphone has a blocklist so if they call there, into the blocklist you go!
HSBC (Union Plus Credit Union Visa Card)
everyone - PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST !. my cell phone number is for outgoing calls only !
my 5 month old cell number which i have never given out means i cannot be the party you are looking for and FDCPA says you cannot tell a third party about anothers debt - which is too obvious when you call TOO OFTEN and refer to an important business matter..
(federal DNC list only applies to telemarketers. not collectors, political, or charities -
why not a DO NOT CALL PERIOD LIST ???)
i have never given my cell phone number out. i just got it in march 2011. they filled up my voicemail with hold music twice when i left my cell phone off (what i there was an emergency in the family ???) when i left my cell phone off. if i reject call they dont leave message. and i start my outgoing message with SIT tones. havent had a message in my cell voicemail when i not answer cell phone. in fact i have a ringtone that is silence. every now and then i see if someone IMPORTANT called. nope. just them. much more of this and i will get my cell phone number changed. i only use it for outgoing calls..i dont want to call from other than a pay phone and i cant find one anymore to tell em that there is no way the call is for me (in fact one caller asked for jah-el sp? ... not me !!!).
i think, according to the FDCPA, it is illegal for debt collectors to call cell phones as it makes the amount owed higher having to spend cell phone $. basically it is making the debt more without going through proper legal channels, which is a no no. so tell them they are calling a cell phone and you think they are in violation of FDCPA since its costing money to talk to them.
btw: Once a debt passes beyond the statute of limitation in your state, a debt collector no longer has the right to sue you for payment. You may still have a moral obligation to pay back an old, forgotten debt, but you can't be sued over it. Any debt collector who threatens to sue you over a debt that is beyond the statute of limitation in your state is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Just for the heck of it, called this # blocking my own (and calling from a fax line). Robotic voice answers "Card Services" and then asks you to enter your card number!! Does anyone on earth actually FALL for this scam??
Calls all day. no messages left.
Started today at 9:00. It is now 5:00 have called 5x. Leave no message.
no message. they keep calling my cell phone
Got 16 calls from this number from 2/1 to 2/4!!! Today alone I got 4 calls from them in a 4 hour period! So ANNOYING!!!!!
I never had any such accounts with HSBC Orchard Bank - got the harassing calls from 8 11 am to 8 49 pm - logged 14 calls from Dec 29 2010 to Jan 5 2011 even though pointing out the fact that those motormouths were barking up the wrong tree just because they had the wrong person since my phone number was in use for six years
and for some reason they kept calling me they claimed that they had deleted me from their calling list three times
If Household is collecting on its own account you may or may not have state laws to help you with the nuisance calls. I believe Texas and California helpfully apply FDCPA-like rules on first parties.
These guys won't say who they represent. Collecting for someone. Very cryptic
Call received- 5:37 PM today. Voice activated call, identified number belongs to HSBC card services.
These ass clowns used to call my cell phone constantly from another number (800-395-2274). Thankfully, Verizon lets you block incoming calls from from up to five telephone numbers.
I choke myself blue in the face whenever they call. I hate myself because I lost my job and now I can't pay my cc bill and I hate that.
another fake ass bunch of punks who don't have the toothpicks to say who they are.
800-684-8429, HSBC call them back and mess with them.
When their recording answers, and asks for you account number, do and say nothing, their recording asks for your number again, do and say nothing again, their recording will then say, they will connect you with a person.
When they connect you with a person, F*CK AROUND WITH THEM, like, tell them YOU are with "Card Services" and ask them for THEIR account number, or, give them a list of random numbers, or, pretend like you speak a foreign language, or, just stay silent until they hang up, then, call back again and do it all over.
Caller: 800-684-8429, HSBC call them back and mess with them.
yep thats who it is cc company hsbc......they call at least 6 times a day not worth having a card with them.....bill i not even late....i just dont ansewer the phone.....leave a message but they dont.lol
they call 5 or 6 times a day. I believe it is HSBC. I've never answered.
I have answered the phone many times and recieved a recorded message that says "we have an important message for you but all of our agents are busy. Please stand by." I hang up. If you want to speak to me, talk to me when I answer. If this is HSBC I do have an account, but it is not in arrears. And the number of calls is enormous. And enourmously aggravating.
In th past several weeks I've received approx 50 calls from this number starting at 7am in the morning. I attempted to get someone to tell me what they want from me and to please stop calling my home but I got nothing in response. I dont own an HSBC card and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to get these people to stop calling me. Thanks
Household bank calls sometimes 7 times in one day. They are harrassing and conducting business in an illegal manner. Federal Trade Commission needs to be notified of their practice by everyone that's being harrassed by them. FTC takes these complaints very seriously as the laws are extremely strict regarding credit card companies and the kind.
Generally, this number does not leave a message. When I have been home to answer the call, a recording comes on telling me "You have an important message. Please hold for the next available representative." Then, without identifying themselves, the caller comes on and asks for Denise. Um, I don't know anyone named Denise. I tell the man this and he says "Oh, this must be her old number. We'll remove you." That was about fifteen calls ago. Still calling, still wanting Denise. I've written a letter to them insisting that they remove the number - sent it by certified mail. I'll report on the results.
Recorded pleasant voice states "We have an important call for you but all of our representatives are busy. Please hold for the next available representative." Then a woman's voice screams PLEASE!!! in a terrorized tone of voice. Then the line goes dead. If this is a credit card company, they should be sued for being sickos. This call came in at 857pm (9p, here is the latest collections calls can be made for my state)
Here's how I stopped the calls. I am going to post this information for every number listed here that the software and hardware I am going do describe "traps".
As you may be aware, you cannot block toll-free calls. That is because the creditor is not really calling from a toll free number. Toll free numbers cannot place outgoing calls. The creditors "spoof" the caller ID to look like it's coming from a toll free number, but it is not, which is why your phone service cannot block those numbers.
I am going to refer to two company's products, but I promise you I am not spamming... I am just saying what worked for me. And it works VERY well.
First up is a Zoom PCI V.92 3025C voice modem. You can find them at pacificgeek dot com for 20$
Second step is software called "CallClerk". (callclerk dot com). CallClerk software can hang up on these jokers before your answering machine picks up.
Run a phone line extension to the voice modem in your computer, and install the software. You can set the software to play a message before it hangs up on any number you want it to. I have the software set up to play a recording of "We're sorry, the number you have dialed has been disconnected" to a-holes like this. Actual phone company messages are available at www.payphone-directory.org
Turn off the ringers on your phone, and tell CallClerk to play a ring-tone for calls you want to accept. Unless you look at CallClerk's logs, you will NOT EVEN KNOW these jokers have called!
Sound complicated? In a way, yes, you need some kind of computer skills and some will to do this. But, let me tell you, it is SO worth it to take back control of your phone!
These people started calling me five days ago, so I Googled their number and found this site. I don't know who they are or what they want. I don't have any accounts with this HSBC/Orchard company; I paid off my other accounts and live debt free. As far as I'm concerned, they're just some punk-ass 800-number agency, so I re-registered my cell phone via the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY (888) 382-1222, plus I jump on the "harassment" bandwagon wherever I find it. Generally, I won't even answer a call if I don't recognize the number. Since last Wednesday they've call my cell number 3-5x/day, I just locked them out; but that's what irks me the most is that they call my cell number!
This is a complete scam. Any post that states that they only owed the company X amount of dollars is BS. No one owes these people a dime! This company (if you can even call them a company) is not affilated with HSBC bank or any bank. They called me saying that my mastercard was past due - I do not even own a mastercard. Therefore, they ask you for your Social Security # to try to "cancel the account."
I told the representative that I didn't feel comfortable giving my SSN, but she obviously had the number and I told her that if she wanted to tell me the SSN listed on the account, i would confirm whether or not that was correct. Of course, she said she wasn't allowed to do this.
This is BS, when I call my actual bank, they ask for the last four digits of my SSN. My bank stated that they would never (nor would any other bank) call a customer asking them for SSN or account information.
This is egregious. I have reported these people to the Attorney General and the FCC. I hope they a prosecuted and rot in jail.
Debt collector for credit card. They call constantly
Called me repeatedly at least 6-7 times in one day and this is harrassment. Cease and desist all call and only communicate by mail.
I SEND A REGISTER LETTER THAT MEANS THAT YOU ARE FORRBEN TO CALL THIS NUMBER
STOP CALLING EVEN THOUGH I ALWAYS SEND A MESSAGE THERE IS STILL MORE FUCKIN CALLS SO YOU BETTER NOT CALL THIS NUMBER NO MORE
you now what fuckin company i dont want no more fuckin shit i call no one fuckin answer you better not call this fuckin number no more SHIT ASS BITCHEZ!!!!!!!!!!!
They really dont care that I'm not "Erica". They just call and call and call, no matter how many times I say not to call.
Time to Bang The Back Door of these Douchebags...HSBC stands for Homo Suckin Boys Cocks....Theyre SCUMBAGS and they wont get a dime from me...Little GirlyMommaBoys...Sissys very one of them....time to take the KNOB and POUND the BACKDOOR////bOOyAHHHHHHHH
I receive 10-12 calls a day from this number. I've answered several times and no one was on the line. When I let the call go to vmail they never leave a message. I answered today and a man was trying to reach someone by the name of Kimberly; I responded that no one by the name of Kimberly lived here and told him to take my number off his call list; he responded he would try to reach Kimberly later! I responded that Kimberly did not live here and he hung up on me. They called again about an hour later. This time a women was trying to reach Kimberly! I stated that Kimberly did not live here and take me off your call list. She stated "you don't know someone by the name of Kimberly?" I demanded that she take my number off the list and she hung up on me. Extremely aggravating!
I get 12 to 15 calls from them a day starting at 5:30 am! (NO JOKE!!) I may murder someone. I answer and its dead silence. I hang up. They call back. I am going to have to get a new #
My son answered one of the numerous calls & there was a prerecorded message to stay on the line for a very important message. Since we don't know this number & are NOT in arrears on any line of credits, he hung up. Also, I researched this number - apparently its from Orchard Bank, whoever they are. We have never dealt with them, so we just don't answer the phone. They call 3 - 5 times a day. Reports claim they also do a fair amount of phishing. We feel its best not to interact with them at all.
They do not leave a message.
All of the comments on this list saying it is a legitimate number are put here to confuse you. This is a scam and the scammers surf the net just like you do.
HSBC card services.
This number called once today but I was unable to answer the phone. When I called back I was informed that my account was past due so I made an arrangement to make the payment. It was an oversight on my part, and the gentleman I spoke with at this number was very friendly.
This is an automated customer survey return call number from Orchard Bank
Called this morning at 8:01am. Told the man when I could pay them I would contact them, thanked him and hung up. he called me right back. I asked him did he not understand what I had just told him and I hung up again. He called me right back, I mean 3 times in 3 minutes. he got hung up on again. So I send them a harassment letter to stop calling me. We will see if that works?
Calls ten to twelve times a day
Number just called my phone I did not pick up, reverse lookup states: Landline in Tuscon AZ, Qwest Communications phone service provider, probably scammers.
I have had several calls by this number to my brand new cellphone. I tried to lookup the company that owns the number, but the only sites I can find are 'paid' sites, and I don't want to pay to find this company. I did however find out that the number is listed as being from Pima County AZ. I went to the Pima County Sheriff's website and filed a complaint against them. I suggest you do the same.
Really, are you kidding me? WTF!!! Who in their right mind would want a free trip to Mexico right now?
520-838-9995 called me at work on my work number, as soon as i hung up called my co-worker, called another co-worker 4 times eariler in the week. Message was in Spanish. I called back the number, recording was in English. Stated that it was a travel related call & that they would call me back shortly, unless I press 1 to be removed from their data base. UGH!! I wish these people would stop calling & trying up precious buisness phone lines.
11 times in 3 days I have been harassed. Today at 0822 hours, I answered the phone and told the fucks to stop calling me. They hung up with no response. I have filied a complaint with the FTC, do not call website, and just finished calling hsbc bank usa at 1-800-975-4722. They wanted me to call and write them. They were told to remove my number or I will do evertthing in my power to legally destroy them. It is a pain in the butt, but YOU MUST FIGHT FIRE WITH NUC ROUNDS. File complaints with the FTC (ftc.gov) your State Atty General office, and the local police for harassing you (Each state has different laws) BUT YOU MUST PUSH THE ISSUE!!!! If you do not owe them anything... you must HAMMER THE FUCKS ! ! !
link response clouds global alternative start
Cold calling cell phones claiming you won a trip to Cancun. Same scam as Florida vacation scams. Don't normally answer unknown long distance numbers but this came in on the company cell phone.
Just some computer generated voice telling me I won a trip to Cancun - I hung up.
Some computer voice told me I won a trip to Cancun - yippee!! I hung up before he could get the next sentence out.
Unsolicited call to my business cell phone. Called back & a recording said it was a travel related call.
I received the same message, a strange voice (vaguely British accent, or perhaps computer generated?) that said:
"Hello. You just won a free stay in Cancun, Mexico. To claim your prize press 1 now."
"Cancun" was pronounced oddly.
I hung up. I wonder if they're compiling a database of "gullible" respondents who can be targeted by human callers later on.
Just recieved a phone call from same number, I didn't answer it. Can't believe that I was able to find a thread. Cool!!
This guy told me I had won a trip from Cancun. When I used to work in a small office, we would get these all the time, but it never came through the caller ID. Weird. If they call again, I won't be pleased.
The message told me that I had won a trip to Cancun Mexico. Press 1 to collect your prize. I Hung up.
This number is something in spanish and they called my cell number too. What happened to the do-not-call list anyway. This is crap and makes me mad.
This is the second time in three day's this party has Called my cell. Spanish noise in the background, some lady spoke in Spanish, I explained that she had the wrong number. The lady said I'm sorry. However someone called from the same number today. I didn't answer the phone.
Got a call it was all spanish.
It was my cell phone to
found out that its in tucson, arizona. they have the cell phone numbers of two peoplke and my family and its always the same prerecorded message in spanish, there has to be a way to stop these things!!!!!! AAAHGGGG!!!!
I did not answer the incoming call but did call back. The IVR system claimed it was "a travel related call" and "press one to be removed from our database." I did not do anything and stayed on the line. The IVR then requested my phone number and said if nothing was entered the call would be disconnected. I entered my number and it said my number would be removed sometime in the next 48 hours. Oh well, better luck next time!
I have been receiving the same call from this number a few times a week. Its always the same. Noise in the background and then a recording in spanish.
Its really starting to get annoying. Call is coming from Arizona area code.
This was the second time they called my cell. First time, I got (and hung up on) the Spanish message. This time, I didn't answer, and there was no message.
this number called. i missed the call but i didn't call back because i didn't recognize the #.
i got a call 2 months ago, a different #. It must have been an international call. someone answered the phone on the other line in their own language. they the 2 parties began talking. why did my phone ring? are their phone calls going through my private line? are they using my private line?
called my cell..........was half of a recordin in spanish that i could not understand due to quality.
PHONE CALL CAME IN ON MY CELL. WHEN I ANSWERED IT THERE WAS SOME NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND, NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS, THEN THERE WAS A MESSAGE IN SPANISH. I DID NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK. I JUST WANTED TO FIND OUT WHERE IT CAME FROM WITHOUT PAYING FOR THE ANSWER. IT CALLED MY CELL PHONE AFTER ALL!!
They called my house and cell phone 14 times within a 45-minute period. I reported them to the FCC. They call 1-2 times an hour. According to Texas law, any bill collector CANNOT call before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. If they do, you can file charges against that company. Get documentation of phone records to prove times and dates. When they call my house, my home phone and fax machine are on the same line. Needless to say, they get my fax machine every time. :) I like comment someone left about buying an air horn to blow next time they call. Maybe they will get the hint if we all do that.
And don't call it NO F! MO!
They call me 7 days a week at least 10-15 times a day. I have made a payment to them and they still call. It seem to me if a person is paying maybe not the amount they want they would stop calling. That is sad they call on a Sunday. I WELL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. All they have done it piss me off and now I will not answer. THEY got a payment.I am going to have my phone shut off. And have my cell phone number changed. STOP CALLING ME.
I too keep getting calls from these jerks they leave no messages and continue to call all day long how do we stop them
I keep getting calls from this no. as well they do not ans when they do call if they are collection agencies then they need to act with a proper attitude I know how to deal with CAs but how do we know who the calls are coming from
They need to stop
These people keep repeatedly calling for a co-worker of mine for debt collection. This co-worker is never available to come to the phone. I have told these pests that I am just the person answering a phone in an office - to please remove the number from their call list and please call the co-worker's home or cell phone. I told them they are not getting my co-worker, but me! They continue to harrass me, even though I have NEVER had an account with them, or ever will - considering they told me that they would stop calling me, but never have. Rude! Inconsiderate. Should be a law against people like this who contine to harrass the WRONG person!!!! STOP CALLING ME AND INTERRUPTING MY WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They call me 7 days a week aleast 6 to 7 times as late 9.pm.Start calling sometime before 8 a.m this is 7 days a week . Including Sundays all day long. That's 6 to 7 times a day. Then they call my cell phone just as much they do not leave a message on either cell or home phone. Then the other they use is 1800-395-2274.
This number calls me about 8 times a day 7 days a week for the last 2 months they dont leave a message and they call on Holidays that is very nerve racking and needs to stop if there not going to leave a message what do we need to do to get it stop.
For those who say they don't have an account with HSBC- just answer the phone, tell them you're not the person they're looking for and ask them not to call back. It usually works pretty well.
It has for me.
I finally had enough and kept calling the company back to speak to a Supervisor. Each time the Supervisor told me they would have a MANAGER call me back, which never happened. I kept on pestering them to speak to a Manager and finally I got one. I told them that they were being recorded, and that I had to tell them this according to the law of Implied Consent. I told them that I would not pay them one single dime until they stopped the harassing calls; and, that since they had continued, they could just go ahead and CHARGE-OFF my card. They said they could not do it until the COMPUTER charged off the account. I told them that this was utter nonsense and then I said the following: "Give me your full name and employee number. (They did, but it's not necessary actually. First names will work.) So you are telling me, knowing that you are being recorded, that after I told you I would not pay and to charge-off the account, that your company will continue to call me incessently?" Their answer was YES. HOWEVER, I have not received a single call from them in over two months.
I had 40 calls from this number in 1 day. I finally answered to see who they were and what they wanted. When i tried to tell them they had the wrong number the guy kept interrupting me and accusing me of lying about who I was. I explained to him that I was going to notify the BBB and if they continued I would contact an attorney. They are driving me crazy.
I answered once about 6 months ago and they said they were my husband's credit card company (for his union credit card - not a store credit card). They were trying to sell him some service or another for his card (which is paid and up-to-date so it wasn't a collections call just a sales call). They have been called every day about 5 times a day since then...and they just called again looking for a Norma?!? We've had this number for almost 10 years so no idea who this Norma is and hopefully the calls will cease now that I answered. So either the original c. u. next tuesday that called about 6 months ago was pissed because my husband wasn't home to talk to purchase services and added our number to some call bank or HSBC doesn't know how to line up their call lists.
SO MANY CALLS from this number! Make it stop!! They are calling my WORK number and will not identify themselves!
I wont answer HSBC if I am current on my bill. They are always trying to sell me some kind of debt insurance.
If they are constantly calling your cell, store the number and set the ring tone to "silent." I wish I could do this with my land line. Its come to a point where I rarely give out my land line number to ANYONE.
These characters called 4 times today - would not tell me who they were, as I only got "please hold you have an important message" It was on my cellphone, the number I do not give to people I don't know personally, so it needs to STOP!
I called the number. It says welcome to card services. Based on your phone number your account ends in xxxx. If this is not correct please enter your account number now. I pressed 0. It gave me the same spill. I pressed 0 again. I finally got someone on the phone. She asked me for my account number. I told her no and to remove me from their calling list. She asked me for my phone number and said she would take care of it and was sorry that I had no account with them. If the phone call said I had an account how did she know I did not. If they call again I will sue.
They hang up when I do answer the phone, otherwise they won't leave a message or even let the phone ring longer than three times. Very weird.
stop calling my phone before i sue
STOP CALLING MY HOME. IF YOU CALL MY HOME OR CELL PHONE I WILL SUE YOU FOR HARASSMENT> MARK MY WORDS>
This company calles approximately 10 to 15 times per day. I do not have any debts due - they never leave a message.
This number belongs to Household Bank credit card company. If you are just 5 minutes late on your bill, they will call NON STOP
I get at least 5 - 6 calls a day and if I do decide to pick up the call there is no one there.
calls 15 times a day........
I get calls from this # ALL Day long. I don't REALLY care why they're calling I am just really tired of the calls how do I stop them?
They've called about 6 times per day for the last two months. I have no accounts outstanding, and actually have no accounts with anyone- and haven't for years. When I don't answer, they call less. If I pick up the phone and say hello, no one speaks. Then the calls pick up per day. I've stayed on the line for up to 30 seconds, still no response. I think they just like to call people and make their phone ring.
It appears this is Household bank and the first few calls are indeed a 'tag' for your number, time of day you answered, etc. because they immediately hang up. You are probably recieving these calls because a payment is late or someone else with a name similar to yours has a late payment or a delinquent status on their HSBC card. If you have a card you should check your account - an immediate payment to resolve the tardiness will result in no more calls. The sad news is that if you have no HSBC account, no cards, no dealings with them whatsoever...well...you are up the creek because they'll just keep calling.
I have an Orchard card, but am not over the limit, or late on a payment, so why are they calling me?
Send an email to Jackie Speier, US House of Representatives. Recently elected to replace Tom Lantos, she has long been known in California for her defense of consumers. She is one of the few politicians that I believe will make an attempt to take action against HSBC. That is, if it is brought to her attention by numerous consumers, it is my belief that she is one of the few who can be trusted to help. From SFGate.com, the online version of the San Francisco Chronicle:
The Bay Area's newest lawmaker, Rep. Jackie Speier of Hillsborough, got her first committee assignment Thursday: the House Financial Services Committee, which could give her a powerful perch to continue her push for new consumer privacy laws.
Didn't answer cell.
I get atleast 30 calls a day and pick up and no one is there, this is ridiculous. Call at 4 and 5 at night too.
Someone please help me with this.
i just got a call from this number at work on a work land line...... wanted a price for a part.... very weird....
I KEEP GETTING THESE CALLS TOO!! THEY ARE SOOOOOOO ANNOYING.......
I JUST USUALLY LET THE FAX MACHINE PICK UP, HOWEVER IT HAS NOT STOPPED THEM FROM CALLING..LOL
they called here once and asked for me with my boyfriends last name. i couldnt understand what the idian chick was saying .. i finally said this is annette and she hung up on me. i redialed the number and got a nice english speaking guy who i lodged a complaint with . and also informed him that we arent married and i am in no way responsible for paying his credit card so please stop calling. they havent i finally got tired of them and sent a check. so far its been 4 days without a call. oh and when the bf told them he wanted to invoke the whatever protection when you lose your job... youre supposed to have 45 days to fill out the forms and return.. they dont care.. they call and bug ya anyhow.. and rack up the late fees and all that ....
For those of you who say you have no business with HSBC - have you put your names on the "Do not call list?" I did when it first came out, and I read last week that after 5 years you have to put your name on it again. Then if they call you, they have to pay a fine to the FCC, AND they have to stop calling you! Here's the number - Do not call registry 888-382-1222
I have gotten numerous calls from this number, plus a 630 number, that others on here say is HSBC. I'd answer if they would simply leave a message and TELL me who they are. Today it flipped to voice mail, but all I heard was typing - I think they didn't realize it was into the voice mail. Sunday evening, 4/27, I must have had half a dozen calls from this number, on top of the calls I've had during the same DAY.
just to let evreyone know you have to act like a complete dick with these people they way I get solicitors to stop calling me is I ask for thier home number. one of two things will happen they won't give it to you and will never call you again, or they give you the number you consistantly call at around 1-2 in the morning and they will stop(no legal action can be taken if you have warned them about calling you)
I CALL THE NUMBER TWO TIMES FOR EVERY TIME THEY CALL ME. IF YOU LET MESSAGE PLAY WITH OUT RESPONDING, YOU WILL GET A LIVE PERSON. I LET THEM TALK BUT, I DON'T RESPOND, EVENTUALLY THEY WILL HANG UP. I KNOW THIS MIGHT NOT STOP THEM FROM CALLING, BUT I FEEL LIKE IF I TIE UP SOME THEIR PEOPLE FOR A FEW MINUTES 30 OR FORTY TIMES A DAY, IT IS COSTING THEM A COUPLE HRS. OF WAGES THAT IS NOT PRODUCTIVE. I KNOW YOU WOULD THINK IT WOULD TAKE A LOT OF MY TIME,BUT IT DOESN'T. I CAN MAKE CALLS WHILE DOING MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES. IT SEEMS RIDICULES , BUT I GET A LITTLE SATISFACTION KNOWING I CAN RETALIATE.
They have been calling every day, during the weekend, sometimes 4-5 times a day. When I don't answer, it goes to voicemail, and they don't leave a message.
As many as 8 calls per day different hours. No message ever is ever left.
18006848429 is calling me on robo dial every two hours. My Vonage service says it is from Chase. No messages are left. When I pick up, it hangs up. This is getting really irritating.
Several calls within several hours while I was out, no messages. Called the number back, they ID'd themselves as HSBC Card Services. They were calling in regards to a person I have never heard of. Operator was polite in offering to remove my phone # from their system.

They always have a machine to say please hold on till an operator can get to my call I didnt call
This is HSBC / Orchard Bank. This company has been calling an avg. of 21 times per day for the last 2 weeks, including calling my work number. Who else can I tell to help me make them STOP!!!!!!! They never speak, and when they do...you can't understand a word they say.
Repeated calls wont answer random 800#s voicemail is always computer recording please hold for an important message then a human says hello and hangs up 3 calls in 1 hour.
They start calling 8:10 AM every morning and continue calling all day 6 to 8 times a day until 9PM at nite. Very annoying, since they hang up after 4 rings. Never wait for the answer machine to turn on. I have an unlisted phone number. They call all week even on Saturdays and SUNDAY. This is rediciulous! I also have privacy on my phone. They must work 7 days a week and I'm looking for a job and can't get one since I'm retired. How much do they pay?
They start calling 8:10AM every morning and call 6 to 8 times a day up to 9PM at nite. Even on Saturday and Sunday. Leave the phone ring 4 times and hang up, Never say anything or wait till the answer machine comes on. I have an unlisted phone number.
All you have to do is to send them a REGISTERED letter saying that they are forbidden from calling your number. They must by law stop - end of story.
Go to the FCC web-site at fcc.gov and fill out a complaint on the form 1088. If enough people cram these complaints into the FCC something will have to be done.
this is pure harassment I have never done business with these people, nor will I ever. FCC should earn their money and stop this harassment.
My husband has one of their cards. He has payment arrangements with them and yet, every two hours we are getting these stupid phone calls. I was on hold for at least 30 minutes with no operators to take the call. REally? Then, why are you calling? They do not leave messages. This is so crazy and unnecessary. My hubby has asked them to quit. We paid off Capital one last month finally. These guys are next and we will not do any business with their company EVER again.
Many times one will get calls, daily, from 3-4 different numbers. These are actually from the same collection company using what are called "skip lines" from different branches/businesses from around the Country. They try to give you the impression that there are many different collection agencies calling you. In truth, there is usually only one. They are trying to agitate you into answering the phone. Don't ever answer the phone! I let the calls go to my fax and give them a good buzz in their ear.
I don't know where they got my number from. I have no debts, but I play their game right back at them. All those calls cost them money.
Most of these calls are from what's called "scavenger companies" who are trying to collect debts that are usually way past the statute of limitations (usually 3-5 years). Look up your States laws regarding debt collection and you'll see that, by law, these debts are no longer collectible...but these guys don't think you know that/don't want you to know that.
These calls are very annoying. Starts early in the morning and thu out the day and into the evening. Always a recording. They need to cease & desist....why bother calling if no one is on the line. This is all day long. I think they are starting to call my job and my boss had a fit. Help...stop these calls.
These ppl call almost everyday for some woman whom we don't even know. WE've had the phone number for over 4 years after we tell them this they promise that our number has been removed from the list and then call back in the morning. WILL NOT tell me their name or address and WILL NOT connect me to a superviser.
i received 4 calls from this number in one day, afraid to return call
Called back, the automated voice answerer said; "card services, we have detected your phone number" and repeated the last 4 digits of a card number that weren't mine, I hung up.
Didn't even speak just hung up done this SEVERAL TIMES.....
No good here. They were not good to deal with when I had their card. I paid off and cancelled the account. They renewed anyhow. Billed my old address and then late charges. Now, all my calls to them are put on hold and then disconnected (after I input my account number!). But their computer puts hangups on my machine from 8am to 9pm twenty times every day. Is there any reliable way to get away from them?
I get up to 20 or more calls a day. Some as late as 9:30pm. I just want them to stop.
8 calls in the last 2 days, i called back and an automated systems answered saying that all representative were busy @ the moment. I hung up. Because of this kind of calls i stopped running for my phone. I have caller id so i can take my time and later see who called me i mostly do not pick up the phone right away.
Got repeated calls and so I called the House Hold Bank Card Number on my card. I am not delinquent and so I should not be getting these calls. I asked to speak to an account manager who was very kind and did some research. He found out that someone else was giving my phone number out as thier home number. He was able to verify my address and their address and conclude we did not reside together. He then took me out of all the collection call accounts and voided my home number off the other person's account. He also gave me the number 1-800-659-6950 to call and get my number out of that system as well. So far no calls.
HSBC card services, aka Orchard Bank, aka Household Finance Company.
If they are attempting to collect a debt you owe they have a right to call a reasonable number of times a day, at reasonabe times. If not they are violating the law. Complain to www.fcc.gov It is against the law for the company to not answer with a human or a recording within 4 seconds of you answering. It is againt the law for them to refuse to provide contact information when you ask. If they are calling more than a few times a day, they are breaking the law, harassement complaints go to www.ftc.gov. If the debtor is a family member, they can write them and ask not to call and to only contact the debtor by mail. They must comply. Complain. Complain. Complain. The reason they do this is because they get away with it.
Cut and past this to any threads or "who called me" sites that you know of.
This call comes in 4-5 times each day and began about one month ago. How does this get remedied? This is a subtle form of harassment!
Called me 5 times today. Called them back earlier and asked which credit card she was calling for 3 times, and she hung up in my face.
I have gotten 12 calls from them over the last 24 hours! This is rediculous. For a 10.00 payment geez. My phone number has an AZ area code and they have called me here in OH up till nearly 11pm with a newborn in the house. They never leave a message, and I just came here to see who it was. If I hit ignore on the phone 20 seconds later they call back up to 3 times each time. As soon as I get my tax money back I'm paying these annoying a$$ off!!!!
my email is :email@example.com could you please WIRE US$ 20,000 from my HSBC Bank Account to my other Bank Account in USA and Haiti?
I'm waiting for your response please.
Jean Philippe Jude Mednar
These people have called me at least 15 times in the past week. Everytime I pick up, they hang up. I talked to a person once and they were calling for someone else, and I told them there was no one by that name at this number, and figured they'd stop calling, but they keep calling me and hanging up as soon as I pick up!!! This is sooooooooooooo annoying
Thanks for calling our corporate office. That is the response most times they call phone rings twice and hangs up.
I, nor anyone in my family has an HSBC card or account. I have called and they have even verified that there is no existing account on file for our phone#
yet they continue to call to collect a payment on an account that DOES NOT EXIST!!!
And were on the DNC list...... something's wrong here.
Repeated calls from this recording. Both on my home phone and my cell number. I DO NOT give out my cell number so I'd just love to know how they got that and my home number is unlisted so how did they get that? Rumor has it that this number belongs to HSBC.
This is sage advice when dealing with revolving credit companies (bank and store account cards)... NEVER call the company for customer service from your cell phone, or a private house phone, or... jesus, your work extension.
Almost all credit card companies record the phone number you are calling them from and store it in your account file whenever you call them. They will then gladly turn around and sell this information off to junk debt collectors who are eager to call you about expired statute of limitation debt (junk debt).
Learn your lesson and change your phone number. When you call a credit card company or any other revolving credit lender, use a pay phone/a fax machine or if you still have a dedicated phone line for your computer modem... use that (just remember to use *73 when you are on the computer, so call-waiting doesn't disconnect you when you're online).
This is HSBC's collections department, which it calls "Card Services"
If you call from ANY phone number to check your credit card balance... they will record the number you called from and then use it for debt collections. Be sure when you call, that you never use a personal cell phone or work phone number to call HSBC. Use a pay phone or another public phone to do it, or call from a fax machine that has a headset.
HSBC will share their recorded phone numbers with junk debt collectors.
Day before yesterday I start getting a call from 800-684-8429 about every 2-3 hours. I was at work during the calls so didn't pick up (or notice to be honest as my cell phone was off). Today I pick up and the person hung up on me. 2 hours later they call back and ask for some random name. I tell the operator they have the wrong number and they hang up on me. I call back and get an automated system telling me they've identified my account number with HSBC bank by my phone number and ask for verification. Seeing as I don't have an account number I hit zero until I get a heavily accented woman operator. She asks my number which I give, she asks my name which I give and then offers to take my number off the listing. GREAT! Oh catch it takes 24-48 hours and I'll still get phone calls during that time.
Every one who gets this number please file a report @ www.donotcall.gov .. ty
Jerks keep calling my cell phone and my daughters cell phone at all hours of the day and night. When I answer, there is no response. I'm reporting them to the BBB and the State Attorney General. This is rediculous!
they have called 122 times in the past 2 or 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We get calls from this number all day and even late at night as late as 10pm. I tried to answer it last night and a woman was on the line. She said she wants to talk to Daniel (my boyfriend). I told her he is not interested to talk to her and she asked me if I am the wife and I told her no and that he is divorced. She keeps insisting she wants to discuss something to Daniel or his wife. She was rude and I asked her not to call late because I have a baby that's asleep. A few minutes after we hang up same number called again.
This is HSBC aka Household Finance. They are a credit card collection company. They have been calling me often and are looking for a Faye Scott, and I am not Faye Scott, nor have I ever heard of her. I have told them this repeatedly and they just keep calling more often! They are actually very pleasant people, but they are very persistent! I am going to have to either ignore the multiple calls or change my #. They certainly will not honor my request to relinquish the calls. I thought once you advised them to stop they had to by law. Oh well. Honestly, I have plenty of collection issues myself, but really don't have the time to deal with someone else's, too.
It's HSBC and I don't have any collection issue. I called them back, they said they didn't know why they had called me. I said "stop it now!" They said "okay, sir". And you know if you're still getting the "sir" your account is in good standing!
Okay if it is HSBC why don't they say something. We have a card WE have never been late hardly ever carry a balance on it we generally pay it in full. So why call me 10x they don't get me anyway my phone has personal rings. I set up for the ones I want to get so if it isn't in my personal rings I don't run to answer it. It becomes their problem..
they call and when you answer they hang up. Been calling at least once an hour
every twenty minutes.... hsbc makes total sense. They have been an incredible pain to work with. If you answer the phone you will find yourself on hold indefinitely.
This is very bad caller, it always call me every day.
How do I get my name removed...I get calls from this number between 10 and 20 times a day,7 days a week.
i get 20 calls a day from this number from the last week or so...my cell phone wont stop ringing and its irritating. i just registered my number on the do not call registry.
Ever since I got my # changed I started getting calls from them! They are looking for some person named Nichole Collins my name is Ashley I don't know how they could get that mixed up. I finally told the guy off this AM and said "Look you have the wrong number" he told me "No I don't stop running from us!" these people are wacked!
no name shown - Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Corp. ??????? HSBC
Yes, you are all right, it is Household bank, Yes! even if you are not late with your payments and even if you don't have a CC with them. First, if you have a card with them and are not late, they want to set up a payment, to help them with the cash flow.( So many people have defaulted) If you are late, I am soooo sorry they will not stop, from early in the morning till late at night and yes on sunday, even very early morning. If you don't have a card, maybe your a neighbor of someone who is late and they are trying to contact them. All of these calls are coming from over seas, when you frist pick up it takes a few minutes for the satelite to connect you so at first it sounds like no one is there, but there is. please note, most of these calls are from this 800 number, but wait, if they never get a peson on line, they will re-route they calls from a local area code in your neighborhood and it will say "Gateway Call" . lets say you live in a 212 area code, the caller ID will say Gateway Call and the numher will be 212-xxx-xxxx so you may think its a friend or other business call but it will be them. Good luck people I hope this information helps you
orchardbank collections-- told me automated system has "kinks" and thats why it called 3 times an hour but never had anyone on other side of line. Call it back and ask them to remove number from list, it worked for me(after I advised them that the account I use to have with them was closed, someone in India investigated and said they found the problem it was caused by past due bill back in summer '07...couldnt explain why the system started calling me yesterday though(Jan '08)
someone identified themself as emmerson, would not say who he was with, repeated name of person he was after as naiome buhhaha, name sounded finnish or swedish , told him i did not know anyone of that name, concerned me that they might be recording my voice as part of some other scam...struck me as funny he wouldn't even repeat the name of the person almost as if he knew the number was wrong and was actually collecting other informations...very suspect
Calls from 8:00 througn 10:00PM every day of the week
they keep calling my new cell# every 2-3 hours. very annoying! whished it would stop!
I get at least three calls each day....no one on the other end, now, I see the number, answer and end it. Where are the regulations to protect my right to a peaceful existence in my own home? I'm on the "do not call" list. Does it really do anything to report this number if they claim to be mistakenly reaching the same number each and every day? Leave me alone, please.
wouldn't say who they were
don't be a fucking pussy, call them back and torture them, fucking pussys!
I didn't recognize the number, so I let it ring. No messages were left although they called three times just this morning. I finally answered. It was Household Bank (HSBC). Yikes, I missed a payment last week. They were prompt in letting me know, but they were courteous, and helpful. An automatic/computer operated dialer phones the client and a live person picks up if you answer this call.
This call comes in constantly on both my home and cell phone. If you don't answer they call right back. Caller ID says Toll Free and the number always come up (800) 684-8429. I have an Orchard Bank (HSBC) Account and made online payment arrangements for the payment to clear yesterday. According to thier computer this payment was made. I finally got to speak with a supervisor and explained I can not receive these calls all day when I am at work and I have asked you to stop calling my cell phone. The was done last week also and she verrified it was done again tonight. Well guess what in the last hour I have received 6 more calls from this phone number. I keep telling the collectors on the other end stop calling I do not owe money and all they do is appoligize. I hope it goes away very soon.
This number also calls for Best Buy Rewards Zone and other HSBC accouts according to the supervisor I spoke with after she verrified that account was paid and the cell phone # was removed also from that account!!!
stop calling and stop harassing
Called my dad's cell phone this morning, he's knew at all this phone stuff so it bothered him (at work!)
Orchard Bank, but left no messages. Called many times, sometimes 2-3 times an hour. Even called during and two times after I called them and made my late payment!
Getting 3-4 calls per day at work. I don't answer since there is no identifying name on the caller ID. Caller does not leave a voice mail message. Also call on home phone 10-12 times per day, every day, even weekends. Will call before 0800 (EST) and as late as 2045 (EST). Have to leave home phone ringer off. Don't like doing this since family lives out of state, but the calls are annoying.
This is HSBC or Orchard Bank. I've been having problems with them calling 1 - 2 times an hour. I do have card with them and checked my balance (which was OK). I couldn't get through to them because it was a weekend so I contacted them through e-mail (with a response to cease the calls). I received a response within 48 hours letting me know that the calls were due to sales calls and they would take me off of the calling list. The request could take up to 30 days and if I received a call, I could let the caller know of the request.
It's been 5 days and yes, I'm still getting the calls.
My friends I've found revenge and the time has come for you to do the same! These mother fuckers call me everyday and all I want is Silence!I've returned the favor I call them back telling them my name is Turkey and I'm looking to buy Turkey, when they ask for my 16-digit account number,I say "what? 16-digit Turkey number what is that?",they ask for my social security number,I reply,"social Turkey number?what is that?".I've been torturing them for 3 weeks now,I'm building an army,I've made several posts on different web-sites and many people are backing me up,my friends the word about my "Turkey Revenge" on 800-684-8429 is spreading,HSBC Bank (Credit Card Company) will pay for what they've done! I suggest calling between 3-7 pm eastern standard time, this when all calls are transferred to India, that's right India!I've called them after and before these times and that's when Americans answer the phone, they have my number when I call them, but the loop-hole is to call between 3-7 eastern standard time the call is transferred to India and that's when they ask for my home phone number so I know they have no way of knowing my phone number and thus no way of knowing who's calling. My friends find your revenge call them back! oh! and I suggest altering (changing) your voice! My name is Turkey,I'm here to help.
I get called by this number EVERY DAY. I do not owe anything to anyone. This is harrassment.
I'm SO tired of getting these calls on my phone all hours of the day and evening, 7 days a week. I've tried answering, but no one is ever there and they never leave a message!
I see some comments about the number being a bank and the calls involve a card through them. well, i recive this call several times a day and i have no ties to HSBC, so there shouldnt be ANY reason for them calling. They waste minutes on my phone which is brand new service just started 3 days ago. So how did they get my number?
they need to stop
Been getting a call from them everyday. Have never even heard of them.
These dumb asses keep calling me for payment when I have one scheduled online. Now I'm getting hangups. I canceled my payment and reported them to the Better Business Bureau, if they are doing this to you, you should report them.
Has now called 3 times just this morning on my work phone number. Can they really harrass someone on a work phone number?
100s of calls per week from this number. Never says anything. Every one of our bills are caught up because that's what I thought....was late or something....no, just dang harrassment!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! So, tonight when they called at 9PM, after the kiddos were asleep...I "answered" the phone and just let it sit on the coffee table....finally after about 5 min a woman said "hello, hello, hello"???
We don't owe you anything. STOP CALLING.
Quit calling. Don't owe you anything.
Still receiving these annoying calls 4-5 an hour and they call both my home phone and cell phone... If I answer the phone no one is on the other end. If I don't answer the phone they call right back... I have an HSBC account paid in full so I can not guess what thay could possibilly need. Wish there was a way to stop this...
We get calls from this phone number constantly. Over 100 per week. 100!! It's unbelievable!! We are caught up on all of our bills now, so I figured the calls would stop. And when we were late, they did't call but once or twice a week. 8am Sunday morning is unacceptable!!! It's getting to the point where I scream in the phone when I answer now. Kudos to the person who said to set the ringer to no ring!!
I went to my HSBC online account, to the contact customer service by e-mail option. I listed both my home and cell phone numbers and instructed them in future to only contact me by mail.
For the past two days the calls have stopped! Hope this state of affairs continues.
they call 100 times a wee
Very irritating. The housing market collapses, I lose money cannot pay bills I tell ALL creditors they will just have to wait and they will only get money when I get money (funny how that works); yet they do not seem to grasp this and threatten my credit rating (BIG DEAL). As if that threat was gonna work on me.....HA! I already went from 735 to 483 in an 8 month period; not much more harm those jerks can do besides the obvious harrassing calls. I loggued down today 17 calls between the hours of: 07,21 - 20,33
These idiots call 3-4 times an hour on both my cell phone and my home phone. If I let voice mail get the call they call right back. When you answer no one is there but as soon as you hang up they call back. I have an Orchard Bank card which is paid in full so I have no idea why HSBC would be calling me if it really is them... Wish there was a way to either report these calls or stop them...
THEY CALL EVEN MY CeLL PHONe AND I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY GET TO IT ?????
They call consistanty and do not leave a message. I have sent in more than my monthly payment. This could also be them calling to offer some special buy or service they have. They have done that before in the past. I refuse to pickup the phone if they do not want to leave a message. The best thing to do is to pay off the credit card completly and CANCEL THEM.
I called the number back. They said it was in response to my cr cd ending with XXXX, otherwise please enter your full account number. I din NOT provide my account number, (SHEESH....) What I ended up doing was I pressed * off and on throughout the message. I finally got a real voice, and by them looking up my phone number (I reluctantly provided) I found out they were with a card I possessed, yet had not activated. I explained to them I had not activated it for a reason, and that they did not provide a service I needed, so the card was just 'stored'. They then passed me to a supervisor, and I aired my many complaints with them...calling and not leaving a message, their automated system asking for my account number...they patiently listened to my rant, though there was no real resolution.
When I answer the call I am put on hold!!! I called the number. It said I was identified by my account number ending in ####. I had no such account. When I got to speak to someone, they asked me for my account number!!! I told them to stop the calls, he gave me his garantee they would stop. We shall see.
I just realized there is an ad on this page for the same company that is placing these calls... HSBC... you gotta be kidding me, an ad for these pieces of shit on this site... I am even more baffled.
The 1st call for today started at 8:27am PST - There have been 14 calls today. The latest call was at 8:26pm PST and I am anticipating 2 more calls. The latest they ever call is around 9:12pm PST. I never answer, they never leave a message. I have 2 companies that call me about the same amount of times each day. Been going on for almost 3 months. It may be time to change my number...
This number calls my Company Cell Phone all the time it calls about every two hours.
In a matter of 3 days, they called my 82 year old grandmother 19 times! This is very stressful to her. She doesn't have any credit cards and just moved into her new place in August. I'm assuming they are trying to reach someone else. But she calls me after they call her to let me know they called again! It needs to stop!!
same phone number called but to a different phone my old number
This is the first call I received on a brand new phone number.
Asked for SS#, etc. If this truly is HSBC, the may be the shadiest bank in the world. I called HSBC back and they show no accounts in my name.
MY HUSBANDS EX WIFE APPARENTLY CAN'T PAY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!
SHE HAS BUSSINESS CALLING BOTH US AND MY MOTHER-NLAWS HOUSE
SHE OBVIOUSLY NEEDS A PSYCIATRIST!
They call on average 7-9 times per day leaving no message on my personal, private cell phone. They call early in the morning, all throughout the afternoon and late at night; this is bogus! I have nothing to do with HSBC; I will try the advice to send them a letter to stop calling.
Please...make it stop!!!!
This number has been continually calling my work number everyday all day long. I pick up and it says "They have an important call for me but all their operators are busy" then it goes dead. It's driving me crazy!
calls repeatedly all during the day, enough is enough, never leaves a message
thengy call my house, cell 25 times a day won't stop calling even on sunday's
These people have called seven times starting at 8:39am til 5:31pm and I have repeatly told them the person they are looking for is not here. I personally am really tired of them and I don't even want to answer my own phone.
we have received at least 7 calls from this nunmber yesterday (11-10-07) and several more today.
I would like to know why?
We receive 10-20 calls day from this number! This is ridiculous!!
We get these phone calls a couple of times a day, and each time we pick up the phone, there's never anyone there. So we have no idea who they are or what they want since the phone says "Unknown name."
Calls many times a day and dies not leave message or when answered no one there
They call about 2-3 times an hour. Nuisance...
Who is HSBC?
Same number keeps calling; no msg or recording; I think it's card services I did my research.
This place has been calling my cell for over 60 days. The phone rings all hours and I had to shut it off at night. The crazy thing is I have no business with them. The representitives are always nice and say they are removing my phone number from the list. The longest the stopped calling was two weeks but they always started back up. Too bad their establishment in Salinas, California did not burn to the ground in the wild fires!
I looked this # up on the internet and said this # was a scam.. I called the # back and a man answered he said he identified me by my phone # and gave me 4 digits and said if this was incorrect to give him the whole card #. So what is the GOVERNMENT going to do abouit it? I am sick of this and think maybe a good lawyer can put these people out of business. ps if they know I have a credit card with them they would have my whole #
your people call asking for my wife and are rude to me wont even tell me what it is about so dont call 541-524-9655............
I called them, pressed 1 (who's account # that was I do not know). I spoke to them, told them I was not the person they were looking for, and they said they would remove my # from their list. The person "Steph" who apparently gave them my number seems to give a lot of people my #, because this is one of many calls I get for her (including from her friends).
I've been getting calls everyday from this number for a week. By the time I answer, they hang up. There no message left. Very annoying. If it's important then who ever it is should leave a message.
They continue to call the office where i work for an employee. They have been told numerous times that our employees can not have personal calls and per our legal dept., they need to stop calling this business number. They start at 8 am and continue all thru the day.
Guess our legal department will need to report them because they are breaking the law over and over by contining to call after being told not to call our business.
Get like 20 calls a day from these jack @sses...I have no account with HSBC or Orchard bank, and never have, as a matter of fact i have never heard of these @sses before now. Very annoying.
This number calls our line continuously several times a day and hangs up shortly after we answer.
This number calls all day and never leaves a msg. So aggravating!!
THIS NUMBER CALLS MY HOUSE AT LEAST 15 TIMES A DAY. I JUST PICK UP AND HANG UP ON THEM AND THEY TURN AROUND CALL CALL RIGHT BACK...I AM ANNOYED..I AM ABOUT TO HAVE MY NUMBER CHANGED...CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE.....
I KEEP GETTING PHONE CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER AND THEY WILL NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. 800-684-8429
Just got a call from this number. I didn't pick it up because I've seen this number call me dozens of times within the past few months.
Every day, 4-5 times; either a recorded message asking me to hold because all of their operators are busy - those are the best, let me tell you - or a rude punk who won't tell me who they are, what company they're with, or what they want. Won't leave message or any identifying information; as soon as you start to ask the questions they hang up.
Holy crap....these guys are annoying an insistent. I finally got one of them to slip up and begin leaving a message. Picked up the phone and immediately asked, in a calm tone "What do I need to do to remove my phone number from you list?"...and he hung up. I called again. Waited through the prompter. Asked again. Got hung up on. Called again. Got a woman this time named Ann. Asked again. She asked for my phone number and name. She was really really really trying to get me to give up additional information. Particularly my social security number. Not falling for that Ann. Said that there was nothing she could do. I quoted from the FCC do not call list and the FCC guidelines that this was a marketing call and if I asked for a removal, she was required to comply, and hung up. Waited 20 minutes. Called back again and spoke to another woman, very soft-spoken. I gave her my number and another name, and spoke in a different voice. She said that the phone number would be removed from their list within 24 hours. This is well beyond a case where HSBC is not following the rules. You only need to ask once to be removed from the list. If they hang up or say no, they are to be fined. Hell, if we said no to a customer at our call center for removal from our product e-mail updates(legit Fortune 500 company so don't go hating on me) it would be grounds for firing. It's been going on for about 2 weeks. I have lodged an FCC complain everytime. They have called anywhere between 3 am and 10 pm at night. Don't take this crap and say no!
this tel always call me, and i don't know what they say, why clll me everyday
they can call all they want. no one will ever answer.
They were calling me multiple times per day. I was able to call back and reach a real person. They were looking for a friend of mine. No idea how or why they were calling my phone though.
When A message is left and is retrievd, it auto dials HSBC....
repeated calls from 8 in the morning until 9 at night. they call two times in a row and then wait a few hours to call back. i didn't bother answering my phone because i didn't recognize the number. after reading this site, i see that i owed a credit card payment. it would have been nice to actually receive billing statements in the mail, but i guess they'd rather call than pay postage. whatever.
"We have a important message for you"
If it was so damn important, wouldn't you have somebody waiting by the phone when I answer?
These fucking whores need to stop calling me.
This number has been calling incessantly for the past few days. We have had 34 calls since this started and I am so sick of hearing my phone ring. It starts at 8:00 AM and ends around 8:30 pm. At first we answered and there was no one there so we hung up. They we let it go to voice mail and no message has ever been left. UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH! I finally turned off the ringer today so I can get some work done (I have a home business). Please just stop calling us!!!!!
Go online into your account and change the phone number to one that is no longer in service. It will stop the calls. That is what I did.
I would see this number on my caller id at work and at home. They never leave a message. If they don't leave a message and I'm not there to answer my phone, how am I supposed to know who they are and why they called? Very annoying.
I cursed one of these dothead freaks out today told him i hope a firecracker explodes his mothers cunt fucking assholes
These people are from HSBC. They tell their operators to harrass their cardholders because they owe money on their accounts and in their mind they think its ok to harrass them simply because they owe them money. I receive around 20 or so calls a day from them. Maybe they feel people will pay them back faster if they continually harrass them in their homes faster.
I got a call from HSBC bank i suppose and they're calling for my mother i believe, now i know i have some payment to make which is a little over $200 unfortunately. Could this be connected? In any case, neither my mother or i have an account with these people. It is not only annoying but degradin.
THIS IS ORCHARD BANK (HSBC). THEY WILL CALL YOU INCESSANTLY ONCE THEY GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER. EVEN IF YOU'RE ON THE DONOTCALL LIST. WHETHER YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM OR NOT, THEY WILL CALL YOU. THIS IS THE WORST HARASSMENT IN HISTORY!
National Do Not Call isn't working, they still called me like 5 times per day after I registered my number there. And I am waiting for another 20 days to file complaint to this company.
Calls my office repeatedly without telling anyone who they asking for.
The call all day long. Sometimes from other numbers. But, I know it's the same company calling.
Sorry, I called the # above from another poster and sure enough, I tell the HSBC cardmember service guy my number, he's like, "are you Devina?" I tell him no, he says allow 24-48hrs for this to stop. I then told him to google the # that 100's of people are complaining about this.
I called HSBC at 831-754-1400.
This number has been calling our house every day, at least 20 times a day. When I answer, they hang up.
It came up as St. Jude on our caller ID. I didn't answer.
I called the number...recording said it was HSBC Bank and they identified my account by my phone number. If last four of acct. is not 1533, please enter full acct. number.
I don't have an HSBC acct.
Okay, we have no account with Orchard Bank and never have but we have received calls off and on, presently on about twice a day. Sometimes they give the, please hold while our operators are busy and other times an automated system. If you pick up and get neither there is nothing on the other end. I wish they would stop.
Also I have thier card but paid it off over a year ago and haven't used it since then because of thier high interest rate.
They keep calling and asking for someone else. I told them that it is a wrong number and that it is my cell phone and to stop calling. I still get at least 1 call a night from them.
fyi- my experience is same as the previous comments: I've been getting calls from this number every day, & I'm stoked about this website because once I saw that Orchard Bank is associated with this number, I now know that Orchard Bank (credit) is calling for my payment!
well they keep calling me too, but I think I know why cause I maxed out my card & I hvent sent my payment in over 2 months!!
I bought a new iphone and haven't called anyone or given out the number, within a couple of hours I got a call from this 800 number. That means that AT&T is sharing your personal info with this company as soon as you sign up for service!
Orchard Bank, House Hold Bank Credit Card collections
they asked for someone that doesn't or hasn't lived at my address ever and when i told them that within seconds another person called asking for the same person
These people kept calling nonstop, asking for Alan something or other. I finally got fed up and asked for the company name and operator's name, saying I was going to report them. She kept insisting it was a 'personal matter' and wouldn't give any info, so I told her to fuck off and remove my name. Haven't heard from them since.
Now they are calling my parents' house after I told them not to call me at work... can they do this?
these people call all the time.800-684-8429 they wont leave us alone i wish someone would do something about them. 85 calls in one day. never any one there.does this ever go away.it's not even for us.
These guys are terrible!! They call several times a day and when you answer, you are put on hold to wait for someone who eventually gets on and has really bad english, so you can barely understand anything they say. I do not deal with companies over the phone, if they want to contact me, they can send me mail!
These people have been calling me for a few weeks now, and I do not have any unpaid debt or any credit cards that are delinquent. Does anyone know who it may be?
Iam getting so tired of this it has been going on for 1 1/2 an the least. I don't even bother. I set the Voice to go with incoming calls to say who call that I dont run for it. Also, they start at 8am and dont stop until 8:58 exactly
called, left no message. I am also on the "do not call" list
They have called 10 - 12 times a day for weeks. If you answer it, you have to wait for someone to come on the line. Sometimes it hangs up on you. When I got someone, I found out they were looking for someone I never heard of. They were very nice and said they would take me off their list. However, I should call the number back and ask another representative as well. I called the number back. When it ask for your Account #, make up a #. I had to repeat this several times. Finally, I got someone really nice on the phone. She confirmed that I would be taken off the list and not called again. Hopefully that will happen!
Got two a day. They said that it was Household Card Services. They said they were calling for someone else which is weird because my number was on file with them when I had an account with them!
I'd been getting calls fromt his number several times a day for about a month. At first I would get put on hold, then someone would say something garbled and it would disconnect. Then just nothing. A couple days ago someone was finally on the other end asking for someone who wasn't me. I told them they had the wrong number and to take me off their calling list, but they diddn't. Finally got through using an HSBC (not Orchard Bank) tech support number. They told me they sorted out the problem with the wrong number on an account. Hopefully they really did. I also got a number to call back directly, which will hopefully work as well.
This number calls at least four times a day. I have one credit card and a car loan, both are current and have no payment due right now. So, when they call why don't they have the guts to state their business??
They called to our company phone and asked for one of the employees that work here. I asked the reason for the call and they said it was a "personal business matter and can only speak to the person they asked for"
They called twice but I haven't heard from them since that particular employee is never in the office all day.
At 8:51 am Pacific time they called me too. No message left.
I called back and got a busy signal.
two times a day, why don't they stop
Repeated calls from a computerized recording and after 8 p.m.
I don't recognize the number and it says "unknown name. If it is St.Jude's Hospital they are allowed to call to ask for donations but I'm not going to answer.
This is St. Judes Childrens Hospital in Memphis.
I'm tired of getting calls from this number on Sundays. This is my day of rest and they shouldn't be allowed to call this day
Have received a few calls from this unrecognizable number so I didn't pick up. I am on the do not call list as well.
called several times a day leaves no messags.
I'm on DO NOT CALL LIST
I googled this number the first time I received a call. I never answer and they call two-three times a day, every day. I started calling them back and punch in bogus numbers untill a rep. comes on and then just sit there and let them talk until they hang up. If everyone did this several times a day....they might get just annoyed. I have lots of minutes left on my plan.
They call about 3 times every day on my cell phone. When they call and I pick up, they ask me to hold on. It is very annoying.
Seven calls in 20 minutes - have to love ignore buttons on cell phones and voice mail. Also had calls from 800-395-2274, 877-801-2498
called me, left no message, i'm on the Do Not Call List, could be satan...the end...
Called again today. I was home this time and answered. Man asked for Michael. Not me. Bet they continue to call me. Called it back and it wanted me to enter the last four digits of my account number. Recording identifies itself as "Card Services."
they called asking for someone named Michael something. I am not him. I called the number back and got a recording that "identified" my account number from my phone number. If that wasn't correct I was supposed to give my actual account numner. Guess what, folks, I don's *have* an account with them. I fonally got a real person and, I hope, got them to stop calling.
This number called my work phone about twice a day for a full work week.
Phone rang, did not answer. Left no message
Keeps calling asking for someone named carmen we say no they hang up said yes and they said they were a collection agency - get 4-5 calls a day told to remove our name
Stop Friggin calling me!!!!
They keep calling! I've recieved 10 calls today!!
nothing on caller ID, but number. Never leaves message.
47 Lydgate Ave
Memphis, TN 38109-4523
called several times, but laeves no msg.
received a call 09/10 at 2:44 CST, unknown caller shows on caller ID with this phone number. I did not answer and they left no message. I am on do not call lists.
Someone has called me twice from this number and left no message. I called the number back and a recording says it's St. Judes Children Hospital. They're probably looking for donations. Non-profits are allowed to call you unsolicited as far as I know.
repeated calls like everyone else but nobody answers on the other line
They also called and left no message on my phone. "j roberts" I too, am Do Not Call Lists
This is getting crazy. Calling three to four times a day, even Sunday. I have two cards with HSBC and a car loan. All are current. Wife has one card and it too is current. I'm ready to cut them up and cancel the accounts.
The next time these idiots call me I am going to blow a whistle in there ear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Geez these people sure want there 30 bucks i owe them.. Call about 10 or 15 times a day. I think I won't pay them. I already have bad credit.
get at least 2-3 calls per day and I am on the "do not call list"
Called and left no message.
They called me while I was not at home. No message left.
Note: my number is in Do Not Call list.
call at least twice a day. I never answer, but I too am tired of 'running' from my phone. ..
After some investigation, i found that this is HSBC United States engaging in debt collection. Phone HSBC Card Services on 18666202305 (you don't need to give them any personal details) and tell them your phone number and they will stop the calls.
I do have a bank account with HSBC, a british bank, and I am currently working in the states. This call is some sort of scam, it is not really HSBC bank, as i phoned and checked with them.
oh and thats another thing, they call his work cell phone also.... about 4 to 5 times a day, it is interupting his job, our home lives....it's just not right
these people call for my fiance, 4 to 6 times a day includeing saturday and sunday... sometimes they hang up and call right back. isnt that called HARASSMENT?!
I see this number come up on my Caller ID and refuse to answer it. Is there no way to protect us from these people?
these people keep calling me at odd hours of the day, I've answered to them before, but they've hung up on me, i think this is ridiculous for them to be calling me. If it's important they'd leave a message or actually talk to me when talked to.
I'm assuming this is some sort of a scam to get credit card numbers because the only HSBC account I have is my auto loan, which is paid ahead to Feb '08 so they have no reason to call me. Also the number on my statement is different.
Call every few hours starting at 8:15 AM
I work online and don't go off to answer unless I know who it is, they can leave a message (this place usually doesn't, unless it's a garbled recording saying to call them and it's not a sales call but busienss)
I don't call them back. if they have a reason to call they can say so on the message.
In a way it's good because I never get to sleep too late in the morning with their right after 8 AM wake up calls.
My Caller ID says UNAVAILABLE and doesn't even show the 800 in front of the number. For awhile I was looking it up, thinking it was someone in my local calling area with a wrong number. I *69d it and found it was 800
Do they think if they repeatedly auto dial and call every few hours day after day, year after year, they will get whatever they want from the person?
Call several times a day 7 days aweek. Asking for an "Andrea:...we do not know an Andea, have told them this, have called and told them this. Each time told they have delete our number from the data base and clearly they have not. How do we resolve this>
They call my work phone at least once an hour all day long. Half the time there is no one there. They refuse to give full name, company name, or state their business...the keep saying "John Doe, right?' Also, for some strange reason they WILL NOT say anything until you say Hello 2 times
I have the same problem I have been called insistently for the past week. Even though my number is on the DO NOT call list. However when I do pick up some random person just asks for some girl by first name and every time its a different name... and then they just hang up.
What should I do?
Many calls, sometime w/msg saying we are too bussy to talk to you, stay on the line. One time a man did respond, said he was Martin Luther calling from National Bank of Peking.
they call at least 2-4 times a day for betty parker
we have told them it is wrong # and we are on the do not call list they still call
this is the collections department for HSBC bank. because they are not an outside collection agency they are not subject to the rules of FDCPA. they are not limited to how many times they call you, and if you are a customer of theirs, they do not have to remove you from any "list." my suggestion is to just deal with them - tell them the truth about your situation and they will be much less irritating about calling you all the time.
Calls started 7-10 days ago; at all hours, sometimes 2-3 times perhour, every day of the week, hang ups and do not leave a message. The caller ID shows this number...make sure your number is off any telemarketing lists. It only lasts for 5 years; if after 31 days the calls continue - you can report them. I have no business with this institution; have no debt and it is harrassment and legal...what a surprise.
very annoying! calls also on midnight!
They keep calling for no reason. I hate it because it is getting way too annoying. Why do that keep calling? it's making me very very very mad. !!!
I get a call about every 2 hours on my cell phone from this number. The times that I decide to answer the call, the call terminates as soon as I connect. No messages are every left by this party. This goes on 7 days a week!
They call an average of 6x a day. I just ignore them now. It never goes to a person, just a bunch of static. We have answered and threatened to call BBB, etc. and no one ever hears because there is no one there.
I said, "Look, you miserable fat 'n' smelly cunt (I was guessing but I bet I was right), don't ever call here again if you know what's good for ya."
I'm changing my area code soon and only use a cell phone, so fuck 'em. They won't track me down, and if they find me at the new number I'll find out who's responsible and burn them upin their sleep. WHEEE!
I get 7-10 calls a day and when I answer there is no one there. They have me on HOLD. I will not answer if they do not stop putting me on hold and need to know how to stop these calls. I am already on the DO NOT CALL list.
6 more calls today from these peopple...they really need to get a life!!!!!
PS THanks BUFFY!!!!
These people should be executed in public. They've calling me for the past 3 weeks. Where is the FBI when you need them?
Place their number on your caller-block list.
HSBC Orchard Bank cancelled my card as information was lost by them and issued me a new card I never got. It then wouldn't let me access my account online. It then put the account into collection and these clowns keep calling 4-8 times every day.
AGAIN!!! Another call again today. I waited this time instead of not answering finally got someone and they Claimed we owed SBC $575. LOL! I said no we dont and your company is tryn to rip ppl off dont call again. We have NO outstanding debts in collection. I called At&T which now owns SBC and they verified the received our final payment after we switched providers. She verified payment rcvd. btw it was for only $200. I told the girl about this scam, I am sure they are getting numerous calls. And im sure they will call again. I think this time I will put a call trace on it and if they call a few more times file a police report. I like theidea about the wardialer. LOL OH and Happy Birthday
Well, today is my birthday, and the only two phone calls I got today were from this number. Both times when I answered there was no one on the other end...this is getting out of control, it's only 10:00am and already twice they have called to have me rush for the phone only to pick up and here silence...if you don't want to talk STOP F***ING CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not have or never have had a credit card with this company!!!
STOP CALLING!!! I haven't answered your calls to date and will not. A dozen times a day is about 11 1/2 to many. I will never do business with you people for this reason.
If this is a bank making a collection call they should not be trying to collect on Sundays. I get 5 to 10 calls a day including Sundays which, I think,is against the law.
Never had a card with this company. I called the number back and the computer said the phone number matches a card ending in 6031. I have NO cards ending in that number. My guess is it's a wrong number. But it's EATING my minutes!
why do u call me 9 times in 1 day I'm tire of try to pic up the phone and no body speak or say something. Plz dont call me any more.
On Sunday 2 calls.
has anyone ever heard of dialing *67 before the number and calling it back? Dialing *67 blocks your number.
They call me 10-15 times a day it is getting on my nerves and then they call me at work, and want my account number they dont even speak ENGLISH ! make them go away god please !!!!!!
I just started getting repeated calls from this number about 2 days ago. All day long. It's annoying. I am a customer of HSBC and got on their website to see if this was a contact number and did not see it at all, which makes me wonder what it really is then. And along with you all I get no messages left.
I have told these people that the payment will be coming on the 1st of the month. They keep calling and harassing me. They called saturday at 9:44 am and then again at 9:49 am also.
i receive calls from this number constantly. the few times i've bothered to answer the calls, i have been met with silence on the other end.
is there any solution?
definantley HSBC i get at least seven calls a day.
Calls two/three times an hour. Now inundating email account.
I finally phoned the number back after about 23 calls on my caller id over a 3 day period. the first thing the recording asks if for your last 4 digits of the account. Well I don't have an account with them (hsbc bank / Orchard Band) So I enter a made up 4 digit number, to which it said it was not valid. Duhhh. Finally it connected me with a real person and I asked who they were and why they keep on calling. I gave them my number and she looked it up only to tell me they were looking for a Kevin ??? No Kevin here, so please remove my name from his information. She stated the number was removed. Hopefully the calls will cease.
Rude calls for the wrong person. Claim that they are not a collection agency, just a courtesy call at the wrong number no less!
My daughter has been getting these calls on her cell. They have the wrong number but continue to call even when told that. I just called back and if you press the * key on your phone, you will get a cust service rep. They gave me a 100% guarantee that I am now off the list. We will see...
Called 3 times this morning. My son called and told them not to call this number. They called back in 30 minutes. I answered and they were looking for someone who had this number at least 6 years ago. I know they can look up my number and know it's not who they are looking for.I told them not to call anymore. We'll see.
call my effing house
for the past month
what is wrong with them!?!
no one speaks on the other line when we ask them to stop and take out our number from the system. someone really needs to shut down their system. its useless, takes up time, and wakes me up at 5 am in the morning. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. HOW DO YOU STOP THIS ABSURDLY ANNOYING COMPANY THAT DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO STOP!?!?
I have a number that is dedicated to my fax. I've been getting about 10-15 failed faxes per day. To figure out who is calling, I had caller ID added to the line and that's when I found out it is this number. I will make a record of the calls from here on out.
This number comes up on my phone line every day, sometimes they leave a singing message but never to return a call and most of the times it is just hang ups. I'm getting fed up with it.
This phone number keeps popping up on my caller I.D.. When i try to answer, there seems to never be anyone there to answer. I have an answer machine also, no one ever seems to leave a message, how rude!
Idiots don't answer the phone when you pick it up. & they call 20 times a day! "Please hold and an available representative will be with you shortly". Excuse me? You called me you jerk.
just call the 800# and when the machine answers just press # and wait like 10 minutes for a csr. tell them your phone number and that you don't want anyone from their company calling you anymore. don't give them you're name because they will ask, tell them to make up a name.
This company needs to be stopped with their unethical business practices. I paid off all debt five years ago including my mortgage. I am going to report them to the FCC for solicitation and report them to my state representative. Here is a clue, if you have legitimate business with someone how about leaving a freaking message?
Called more than 5 times every day. Never left a message.
Stop Calling. I know the issue and am working on it. STOP CALLING SO MANY TIMES.
These people called me 5 times a day waking me up, basically ruining my freaking life 6 months ago. Finally on a sleep deprived rampage I called them and left repeated messages stating I knew where they were located and I would blow up their building. Hey, they stopped calling.
And then I moved and kept my same number. Now 6 months later they're calling me AGAIN. So... the lesson in this story is - fake terrorist threats stop the calls. For a while. Have fun with that.
I have received over 100 calls from this number. It is getting very annoying. I am tolerating quite a bit.
They are incredibly annoying and they have the nerve to call early in the morning including on weekends.
These people are annoying. They somehow have gotten names and phone number I never turned over to anybody. I had lost my place to live and was staying at my girlfriends house. Somehow.. without me ever calling them from there or without me putting her address or phone number down (except on two job applications) they began to call her house. They would call all times of day and night. My girlfriends mom got really upset after recieving 20+ calls a day from them. They guaranteed me they would never call the number again, and then called all week. Took my girlfriends mom to get upset and contact some of the people she knows to finally get them to stop calling. Now they somehow have found out my prepaid phone number and have been calling it all the time.
I hate whoever calling my phone number. When answer, nobody there. One time, I heard someone breathing on the line, but they didn't answer when I said "HELLO", "WHO IS THIS?" They need to loose my number. They call early morning and late night. Even on weekends!
We are getting calls all day long from this number. We are not able to talk to a person on the other end.
This number calls my cell phone at least 10 times daily (inc. Sat/Sun). There is never anyone on the other line.
Phone rang, nothing showed on the Caller ID (not even the red light)I waited to check, no message. I *69'd it and it was this number Do they have a way of not showing up on Caller ID now?
They have called me at LEAST 6 times A DAY.
This is ridiculous. I'm on the national do not call registry and it seems like I have gotten MORE calls since I joined.
this is Orchard bank. If you do or do not have a legitimate debt with them, have some fun! If you continuously say 'hello?', they get frustrated and hang up. Then they know how you feel/regardless of the situation. They are somewhat pleasant but on the whole, annoying.
we do not have an account at this bank--i am soo furious because they call me fifteen times a day!!
These guys should be in jail. You can file a complaint online with the FCC by going to: www.fcc.gov and follow the directions for filing a complaint.
Got a call from this number, it went to voicemail. the voicemail said (computer voice) "i have an important message for you but.." then the computer voice cuts out and a lady says "hello?" long pause......and i hear a man say "hello?" as well. that was the jist of the message. What the heck?
This is so annoying. I get a call from this # someone says hello and then hangs up.
"Jason" called for a guy who does not work in the office. The scary thing is, "Jason" called from a cell phone, seriously! I could hear the wind, horns blowing, and cell phone noises. When I told him the guy he asked for didn't work here, he kept asking me for the guys cell phone number. I told him I didn't know the guy, and he told me he would call the guy's cell phone and try him at our number another time. What part of my answers did he NOT understand. I dialed *69-- 4/27/07 and 5/23/07

They have been calling me relentlessly for the past 3 weeks. I do not have an account with them and they called me at 8 am today, it's SUNDAY! I filed a complaint with the FCC at www.fcc.gov
these retards call even after you block their number. I wish I could show a copy of my call log. They call on average 2x an hour even though all they get is a fast busy signal. I just changed the contact numbers on the account so they can't call...yes we owe them money and we plan on paying it, but not any time soon if they keep calling. We'll see if the calls stop now that the contact info changed.
they call and hang up...i call back and tell me they associated my number with someone who has an account with them, and then told me to give them my bank information---I DONT THINK SOOOO... i have a debit and a credit card and im positive i dont have business with them.. i finally got connected with a person and they thought i was someone else.
These jerks call on average 30 times a day. No one on other end and leave no message. I called back the number and it was HSBC asking for my account information. I have no account with them but they tried very hard to get my personal information. I gave them zero but a few choice words. This is obviously some type of scam to gather individuals' personal info. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM!!!
Pay your fucking creditcard bills and they'll stop calling.
They called looking for someone who does not live at this # after being told they have the wrong # they called again 10 minutes later.
FORWARD YOUR CALLS TO YOUR LOCAL FBI. They have been annoying me too on my cell phone and they wouldn't stop. SO, I ENABLED CALL FORWARDING. I ENABLED ALL MY CALLS TO BE FORWARDED TO THE DALLAS, TX FBI. Of course I called all my friends first so that they could text me first SO that I could call them. YOUR TEXT MESSAGES WILL GET THROUGH, BUT CALLS WILL BE FORWARDED. I'LL BET THESE HSBC FOLKS STOP HARRASING ME!
They keep calling here trying to sell us an identity theft protection kit....damn fockers....go away!!!
We have received two calls from this company stating that we have an overdue credit account. We have no account with them. We have verified that the SSN they have on file for said account is not ours' and they say they will stop calling, but they called again today. When I called back they asked me to verify the middle initial on the account, then "Jeffrey" told me they had the wrong number on the account and would remove us from their calling lists. We'll see.
they call asking for rene prado and i tell them it's the wrong number and they keep calling. i called the number back and it says CARD SERVICES. i had to try entering fake account numbers about 7 times before i was put on hold to talk to an agent. a lady answered within a couple minutes and acknowledged that my number was removed. she then proceeded to tell me that they need 2 requests from a person to remove their number, not just 1.
How do we stop the annoying calls at all hours I thought it was against the law to harass people
How do you stop this terrorist organization from calling? They are a domestic terror organization linked to steal your personal information. They are not a bank.
I got a detention because they called 4 times while I was in class today... I've told them they have the wrong number, but they wont stop calling!
we don't have an account with this bank, they call all day!!!!! HOW DO I GET THIS TO STOP!!!!
Repeated calls from HSBC most calls in one day 15. How do I get these people to stop this insanity? Isn't this harassment? I don't have a credit card with them. It would appear they are using the phone book for a fishing expedition to collect social security numbers. Also, they are using foreign country to solicit business. Most times their accents are for pronounced I can't understand them.
Is this something we as concerned citizens can turn over to the attorney general for investigation?
These people have been calling me incessantly. When I asked them who they were trying to reach, they kept asking what my name was (I did not tell them, as I don't have a card from them) but would not tell me who they were trying to reach.
They call me 12 times a day and will not identify themselves.I think it is Household Bank
Calls, leaves no message. Hangs up when phone is answered.
they call constantly starting at 7am. i come home from work at 5pm and have about 15 calls from them on my caller i.d. when i try to call back i get an automated message telling me to enter my account #. i have no account with hsbc.
Stupid cracker heads won't leave me alone.
"People call me on the phone I'm trying to avoid.." - Rockwell "Somebody's Watchin me"
10 CALLS PER DAY, NO ONE THERE TO ANSWER WHEN PICKED UP. THEY CALL FROM SUN UP TO SUN DOWN. STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, Orchard Bank. My wife had a card, they sent a statement with an annual fee, she called to cancel and they told her it would be a zero balance, they called and said we owed the annual fee and a late fee. Will not be doing business with this bank anytime in the future!
i just started getting these calls today. figured i'd google it. great, so does this mean it will bever stop?
Sunday through Saturday four to five times a day all hours of the night up till 10 pm never stops
They are driving me crazy!!
I just logged in to the online Orchard Bank center and changed my number to 999-555-9999. That stopped the calls.
They call and say they are looking for a US Navy Ship and a person that is suppose to be on it and hasn't paid their bill. First of all, they are trying to call a Navy vessel???? LOL. Next, we are a LARGE company, and they can not legally continue to call when it has been confirmed that the person they seek does not work for us. But guess what, they call 3 or 4 times a day and route to the company operator. Soon, our legal department will take this over and burn them a new one!!! :)
They call, but never leave a message so we know who they are. It would be nice if they did, then we would be nice enough to call back or answer the phone.
This number has called me 3 times a day for two weeks what is this all about.. why do they keep calling me ?????
HOUSEHOLD BANK 18006848429.
MORE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS NUMBER IN THIS FORUM.
PLEASE SEE FORUM COMPLAINTS.www.debtconsolidationcare.com
They call us more than 8 calls every single day including weekends. It's so annoying because they start to call us every morning at 8:30 am to 9:00pm. We report to our phone company, and "donotcall.gov", but don't help.
I called them back of course After recieving way too many calls and cursing them out. The last four didgits of the acct # 1822 spoke to Jill and was given the name of the person they were looking for. I will welcome the calls from now on and spend my free time calling them non stop everyday whistle in hand. I also let them know this, Stand by HSBC...Oh yea I do not NEED your business, nor will anyone I can get this out to. Tell 10, they tell 10...Got it?
Unbelievable how many times this number caleed me! Don't they get it? With caller ID no one will answer the phone if there is no message or name of caller? They can call all they want - I'm not answering; have no business with them. Isn't what they are doing illegal?
Please do not call us. You have been ringing our phone for days. When we answer no one is there
They're calling my direct office phone line looking for a "Maria". I don't know any "Maria" and they keep calling. When I pick up, I receive an automated message saying "I've got important information for you" and then a rep picks up. Quite annoying!
I have the same issue. They are looking for some one with my last name. I tell them each time that there is no one here with this name but they keep calling me. I think there should be some way to make them pay for waisting out time and making us upset.
Orchard bank is evil. if anyone says get a card from them, don't do it. They call about 10 times a day, & now they're calling me at work.
We get at least 8 to 10 calls a day, and even when I answer and tell them the person they're trying to reach is not at this number, they keep calling me! And they refuse to give me an address so I can send them written notice to stop harrassing me, which I believe they are required to do by law. This has been going on for a month, we just got this number a month ago, and I don't know if the person they are trying to reach has a name similar to ours, or if this was her number, but it is EXTREMELY annoying.
THIS NUMBER CALLS ME 7-8 TIMES A DAY. NO ONE ON END OF LINE. I DON'T ANSWER THE CALL.
I DID ONCE & THEY CLAIMED I HAVE A LARGE PAST DUE BALANCE ON A CREDIT CARD WITH THEM WHICH IS NOT CORRECT.
I'M DISABLED & DON'T APPRECIATE THESE MULTIPLE CALLS 7 DAYS A WEEK!
I'M ON NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST PLUS A BLOCKER THRU AT&T. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY GET THROUGH TO ME.
CAN YOU STOP THIS? IT IS LEGAL HARASSMENT!
THESE CALLS HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR WEEKS & WEEKS!!!
they LITERALLY call me about 10 times a day!!! What can we do to stop them?!?!?!
I started getting about 6 calls a day from these numbnuts. Then it changed to my cell phone. I've told them repeatedly they have the wrong number. So, I've decided to start jacking with them. I answer the phone and play "Mary Had A Little Lamb" on the keypad, or flush the toilet, or hold the phone up next to the TV while changing the channels. The whole time I don't say a word but I can hear them. The calls have tapered off to next to nothing.
I get calls from this number all day, they never leave a message and reading this it must be HSBC. Never heard of them, we only have local bank credit cards and have never done business with these people
Cingular must have disconnected this chicks phone and turned the number over too early because I've had my number for 2 DAYS! and they've called 4 times. finally I answered and told them that was not Sarah Nelson and they needed to find another way to contact her. So far they haven't called back.
Did a *67 first, then called the number back. Says it is "Card Services." Must be a collection call! I am putting them on my "Do NOT Disturb list."
I missed one payment on my card because they charged me an outrageous yearly fee i did not know i had to pay.
they call me about 11 times per day!!!
They want to know why people go postal? They need to stop!
I am getting another can of foghorn in a can...ya know the really loud ear piercing squelch? I have done it to telemarketers in the past, and I will do it again!
4 times a day they call, begining 8;30 am until nearly 9;00 pm. including on sundays!
Whats worse is I walked into an hsbc bank on my way home to get change of a 20.00 for my daughters lunch for the week and they refused to serve me ( change my bill) because I wasnt NOT a customer ( with a 22% interest credit card!), instead I was told to go to the gas station!
same as others- HSBC bank, wrong number, calls all the time, very poor cust service
Same story all the time they call and then put me on hold if I pick up. I basically just ignore them but will probably try to change my number or cancel my service soon...
at least 20 calls a day from them. I called them last night, i told them to take me off their list. they said if i was a card holder for less than 45 days they would leave me on the list for a month, and if I was a card holder for more than 45 days i would get calls for one month from the people they out-source to. can't win with these jerk offs
I got 14 calls in 3 days. I called them back and found out my # was listed as the contact # on another person's account. It took 2 phone calls, but they haven't called in 4 days.
I get about 8 calls from this number. The person to call is Cathy at HSBC 1800-753-6529 x 5627. Executive office.
seems to be a system to see if you are home. I tried not answering once and got an operator voice saying "Is [my name] home?" I didn't say anything and they eventually hung up.
Usually, if I say hello at first, there is absolutely nothing
Whats going on? I don"t owe these people They call at 7am,8 am,9,am etc. They need to get a life and someone with authority needs to stop these people.
Just wait until they write your account off to another collection agency...called Avante. You'll wish they were still calling you, lol! Word of advise...if you owe them, pay them or you are really in for it. Avante is VERY rude...VERY harsh...VERY demanding...VERY threatening. HSBC Bank sold my CC account to Avante...the calls from HSBC will stop. But, watch out after that!!
I miss the call
This number calls all day, and leaves no name or message. They call and no one answers, when you say hello. Is thias prank calling.
Its HSBC bank. Chances are its for a credit card you dont use and don't even know you have. I got my card when I signed up at Best buy. They give you a $50.00 best buy card for signing up then charge you a 70.00 anual fee for the HSBC card. Then after you pay that you can't canel in 6 months. You forget about it, a year rolls by and then the $70.00 anual fee comes up, you miss the payment they tack on another $30.oo for late fee and then start calling... total scam.
they've called me sometimes 5 times a day. I tell them to stop. i am deaf and people have to call a special nbr to get me direct. they still cal.. Going to blow whistle next time. maybe that will do it. Very annoying!
They call and a recording says:
We have a very important call for you but all operators are busy" Umm, then why did you call?
We have an Orchard bank credit card, so it makes sense that it's them, but really, I don't have time to sit and wait on them.
They keep harassing me about my sisters ex-husbands account.
HSBC Orchard Bank

Toll Free: (800) 684-8429
These people want you to make your payments by phone so they can charge you an additional $12.95 fee. They will call even if your payments are up to date and try to make you think they did not receive your payment.
Repeated calls with no live person (hang up once I pick up)...
It is Orchard Bank - but they somehow got a hold of my fiance's cell phone and has been calling him to talk to me. It is very annoying especially since payments are already set up online but they still call.
They call every single day. I've answered the phone a few times when they have called and no one says a word. It's almost like they have some program watching our phone line because as soon as we disconnect from the internet they call.
Please make them stop.
they call at least once an hour, I have no outstanding debts with them, and they don't leave messages or even give you a live person if you answer. they have called as late as 11pm and as early as 7am.
If you don't have an overdue payment, answer the phone and get it over with. They use a service to find phone numbers once the number they're calling has been disconnected. Evidently that service isn't real thorough. We verified that we have a different middle name and hopefully the calling will stop!
They have called asking for Christine Smith (yeah right!) many times for several days now. OR: sometimes they put ME on 'Hold' when I answer. What the?? I am not Ms.Smith nor do I have any business with HSBC. I am on 'no-call list' and I have told them NOT to call me anymore. We shall see. Freaks!
I awnser and 90% of the time im put on hold until some one can take my call?? THEY CALLED ME!!
I have a orchard bank card, I have spoken with someone a number of times and told them to contact me BY MAIL ONLY, they call mon-sun 7:30 am -10:00pm AFTER they have been told do not call me!!! I am in no way refusing to pay this card off. I fell on hard times financially and medically I also explained that to them. I ahve had the card for 3 years and NEVER had a late payment. I have told them i WILL pay this card off with in the next month, BUT until I get my check I am not in any position to send them one red cent, I wish I could but I CANT!!! Now how do i stop the non stop calls?!?!?!
Repeated phone calls in the same day, and they will not leave a message for the person they are calling, who isn't here. It is my phone line, not the others so I told them I'm reporting them and that they can't call here any more.
These people call constantly. We don't pick up since the Caller ID says "Name Unavailable" Our theory is if you are unavailable then so are we.
We don't have any business with HSBC or Orchard Bank so they must be trying to reach someone else. Seems to me if it were all that important they would leave a message.
Orchard Bank...they called pretty much every 2 hours once when I was late paying them...they even called on Sunday...ugh...it's annoying enuf for me to be sure I send their $$ on time every month so they don't bother me
At least 10 calls a day and they never leave a message. I have no business with them and now never will. Take away they're phone service lol.
I am very tired of so many calls from this number, around 20 times per day. Why do they call me? Why? Where shall I report this stupid calls to? I like to make sue.
I am getting calles from 800-684-8429 all day yesterday and today and when i answer it says hold on and then the person asked it this is so and so and then hanges up on you every time. How can i stop this?
I do'nt know who these people are they call several times a day.I have got to the point when I see the unknown name I just push the off button.
I get called from this number everyday early in the morning till evening and i not know who/why/what u want ,,, This number called on my cell phone ,,, Please STOP !!
Get calls every single day, sunday included. do not have a credit card and have not had one in 5 years. they always ask for someone i never heard of.
I don't know who or why you are calling but please stop. 1/5/07 12:44 PM, I do not give any information out to people over the phone. I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
Collection for HSBC Bank calls at least 5 x per day on my CELL PHONE, bumping any other received calls. Never leaves a message. Phone rings from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. VERY DISRUPTIVE. Always calls my cell.
Yep, that company uses an automated calling system and just goes right down the list daily. When or IF someone answers - it then forwards thru to a "Center" that speaks to you. Isn't THAT Special! :(
Yes they call me every hour and i don;t know who they are and when i call it back it says credit card services leave a message. i hate it i don't even have a credit card.
My Vonage record shows that the calls are being forwarded thru the 800 number from 1-817-230-4826.
They keep calling. I assume for an Ex-Wife who can't pay bills on time. However they keep calling over and over, last time on 12/26/06. I've told them multiple times she hasn't lived here in about a year. I assume it's her GM card.
this person asked me to pay the balance off of a credit card that isn't even mine. i tried to speak to a supervisor or customer service and they said that i couldn't be transferred. the woman on the phone was asking for personal information, but i did not give it to her.
I am getting calls from these people at least 10-12 times a day starting at 7:30am and lasting until 10 at night. My phone rings exactly twice when they call and I've been able to answer it on occasion. At first there's no one on the line so I hang up. At other times I just yell into the phone to stop ______ calling me (u fill in the blank.) Somebody needs to make these fools stop.
We have three cards with HSBC, and we're on their "do not call" list. They have been calling on my cell phone numerous times each day for the past three days. They claim they do not have my cell phone on file...well they keep calling it! I'm filling out the complaint form at the "do not call" website. This is nuts!
calls 6 times a day everyday even on Sundays.. never once left a message
Unfortunately, I do owe them a bill. At this point in time, I cannot afford to pay them (work reduction) and Ive tried to explain that to them, but to no avail. They call almost 2 times an hour every day of the week. I guess they do not take hints well.
The can call all they want, when I see the number I don't answer or when they ask for the owner of the card I tell them they have the wrong number. But they still call.
they call my son (a minor) a number of times a day.
I'm buying an Air Horn to blow in their phone next time.
Many many many calls from 18006848429 which I don't want!!
Flake-y. They call INCESSANTLY- usually one to 3 every hour or two, from very early to very late, and on weekends.
They called me at WORK, don't even know how they got my work number. Call my home 5-7 times a day, and TEN times today, on a SUNDAY. Very persistent, very rude, never leave message.
They called my number once or twice in an hour. I've no account in any bank; when you pick up the call, they will ask to apeak to someone (that you don't know). If you say wrong number, they will still ignore it and call you again. If you ask them not to call you anymore, they will ignore it. Even you report it to FCC (not to call list), they will still call you.
After about a dozen calls I managed to talk to someone calling on this number. They wanted me to pay a balance due on a credit card, I think GM/Master Card. They determined that someone with a similar name in a different city had the account. Somehow they were calling my number. Hopefully it is corrected.
Received 29 calls from this number last few days. We do not answer. I called 800-684-8429 back. They claimed to represent HSBC Card Services in Salinas. They could not link my phone number to any account. They wanted my account number or SSN. I have no account and refused to give my SSN. I called HSBC at 831-754-1400. They confirmed that the 800 number represents them. They could not link my number to any account and could not help me and could not stop the calls. They advised me to answer a call and tell the caller to stop calling me. These calls were all preceeded by similar calls from 233-9872500 and 233-9872400.
Has been calling my cellphone and work # 10-15 times a day.
This is Household Bank, credit card division. I have a $300 credit line. They begin calling the first day you are past due and they call every hour from 8am to 9pm ET. Not only call my home phone, but they somehow found my cell phone number and call both numbers once an hour. Once I pay this thing off, I am going to cancel my credit card with them and tell them exactly why - their annoying collection calls.
I have told these people that the person they are looking for no longer resides at this address and still they call 5 to 6 times a day.
Wow these people need to take a hint and stop calling
HSBC (Orchard Bank Credit cards) They do call incessantly...only with collection efforts. They are a really great credit card company to use when trying to rebuild your credit, and if you fall on hard times (i.e. have to relocate and are out of work, lose your job ect) they really do work with you to make sure late fees & over limit fees are stopped while you're unemployed. They do call all the time however, so I just created a silent ringtone for my phone and assign it to this number (it's the only # I've found they call from).
Nov. 6 8:55 pm
Nov.6 12:46 pm
Nov.6 11:07 am
I keep receiving calls and no one is there
I'm having the same problem. They are calling my cell phone 4-6 times every day for 3 months. I don't have any business with this firm and would have never given my cell number out. What i did was just put my phone number to ring silent now i don't go chasing my phone when they call.
But today i got a call from them from another number 877.801.2498 They are trying to trick me up i guess.
This number has been calling me about 10 days every single day! Even weekends! They keep asking me for some one who I have never even heard of. I have told him multiple times that they have the wrong number and just keep calling back! Half of the time when I answer, there is no one even there! What a bunch of idiots!
Same as everyone else - collections calls constantly throughout the day up until 9PM.
Things happen in life. BAD things happen to good people. I find it hard to believe ORCHARD Bank will call me 6 to 8 times a day, EVERY DAY, beginning at 8am and ending at 9PM because I cannot pay a credit card which had 300$ on it. It is not that I refuse to pay. It is that I CANNOT pay. WE are broke, really broke. We have written to them 4 times, send it via US mail with a return receipt, send them 4 or 5 emails, to no avail. WHAT can we do now?? Believe me, If I had the 300$, I would pay it to be left alone!
They said they were HSBC, told mee I owed a sum of money on my HSBC credit card, and asked if I wanted to pay some that "today." As I have never had a credit card from HSBC, I hung up. I thought it might be a boiler room operation phishing for credit card data.
However, it occurs to me that perhaps this is evidence of a serious problem with my credit record.
looked at my caller ID log and I 20 calls from this number, WOW. I have programed all my phones in the house with the number, placed a custom ring for the Caller ID, the ring is SILENT!! Ha Ha, they can call all the want but they are NOT going to disrupt my life.
HSBC/Zenith Acq. are attempting to collect debts.MyDH has a common name and not 1 late payment EVER on anything, but we get calls anyway because they will call anyone with that name. If you call back they "tag" your # and call more. DH called to let them know he never had an acct. and they wanted personal info. Make them tell YOU the info. DH asked for a supervisor & the guy said they "stepped out" which is crap. This bank is really bad.
these people call all day and night please stop them from calling us
these people call us all day and we do not know why,we are called all hours of the day and night please stop them from calling
Never anyone on the other line. They call everyday, numerous times a day.Even on Sunday
They are persistent!
This is a contact attempt from Orchard Bank. I convinced them that I was not the person that they were looking for. When one of their customers disconnects their phone and becomes unavailable to contact, they try anyone that has the same or similar name. The agent assured me that my phone number would be removed from their data base. So far, no more calls. They were calling 2 - 4 times a day and I was letting my fax answer it. This time one of the kids answered the phone and instead of a recording, it was a real person that I could talk too.
I'm not the person you are looking for!!
HSBC also calls using 800-577-6384 and 800-577-6384(I believe). I have no business the this company whatsoever. I am on the natioinal and local do no call list. However 800-684-8439 called me on the following dates: 09/13 @ 808 am/1056am/353pm/859pm; 09/14 @926am; 09/14 @1050am/303pm/358pm; 09/15@825am/1104am/402pm and 849pm
They call several times a day and hang up. Their last call of the day is always at 8:45 (central time) EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!
They were calling me every 60mins on my cell - So I called them and was put thru to HSBC in the Philipines. I asked them to stop. I reported them to the Federal authorities and to Cingular. However, the calls went on for months - I actually changed my cell number yesterday ....... guess what within 2 days of the change they started calling again !! Can you believe this !?!
hsbc calls at least 20 times a day
even at 1 or 2 in the morning you get up run for the phone thinking one of the grandkids ar sick and it's this bull crap
mad in arkansas
I have received calls every hour. They are calling my private office number at a law firm and they are not even trying to reach me. However, they will not stop calling.
Can you say IDIOTS!!
4 times today I have told them they have the wrong number.
Quit calling me, I am dead
This is Household Bank, Orchard bank, or HSBC bank company. They call too many times a day, possibly for collection activity. Those of you that do not have any business with them simply go to the National Do Not call Registry and register your number: www.donotcall.gov
Call 66 Times in one day
They need to stop the these people. They are invading peoples homes and I do belive what they are doing is illegal!
This is vry confusing, I have fgotten at least 20 calls per day from this number and another Nevada number that is the same company.
Stop Calling HSBC Bank, PLEASE!
They have called for the last two to three weeks, differnet callers everytime, ask about the same name that I don't know. Told them to remove my number from their database, but in vain.
They've been calling me TONS lately saying "We have an important msg for you but all of our operators are busy" WTF?!?! THEY're calling ME and putting me on hold?!?!
My partner has an HSBC card & they may be calling about that but until they leave a message they get no answer from me.
Still HELLA annoying
This number calls our home at least five times a day. We usually go directly to vm and they never leave a message. We do not have a credit card w/HSBC and when you call the number it takes you to a credit agency asking for your account #. Very annoying.
Person named Ingrid gave a different telephone number to call back (800-394-6500, which turned out to be a foster home service. Said she was from HSBC and I would know who they were. They call at least three times a day. I have no business with them and have no outstanding debts.
HSBC Bank Credit Card Company, they are great. Just call them back at the 800# on your card and find out what they want. If you want the calls to stop you have the right to send them a letter stating do not call me at #XXX-XXXX, prefer to do business by mail. It is my understanding that they have to follow your instructions per FDCPA.
incessant calling, even though i told them I won't discuss any matter over the phone
I've been getting this constantly for the past month!
Someone disconnect em!
This is HSBC Bank, aka Orchard Bank. It is a credit card company, generally collection activity. They are actually a pleasant bunch of people, however they call INCESSANTLY -- usually once (sometimes twice) every hour or two. They also will usually call back immediately if you put them through to voicemail or hang up.
I get at least 10 call every day of the week, starting at 7am through 9pm. I am so sick of running for my phone - sometimes they hang up and call right back. I spoke to someone and told them to remove my name. I have gotten even MORE calls. How can we stop these?
Repeated calls from a computerized recording. So annoying.
