They hang up when I ask to remove me fro the list
02184: What did you think, an armed strike force would fly to South Asia and kick in the doors of a call center every time you personally file a complaint? As DLB said, this is a marathon, not a sprint. You might try expanding your gripes to the FTC and attorneys general.
Meantime, here's a link to a site which helps explain the scope of the problem and why the credit reprice scammers are hard to control:
same - lower your interest rates. Have repeatedly received calls from various numbers for the same recording, I report to the donotcall.gov and nothing happens...they don't even slow down. At least 3 times a week.
PLease... PLEASE... when you get calls from these jackasses, FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT at complaints.donotcall.gov. If enough people do it they WILL eventually, slowly, track them down. I've seen it happen. Don't just bitch about it -- bitch constructively!
Hey, it's Rachel again with the same old tired message about lowering your credit card interest. You know the one. Rachel, calling from Credit Card Services......there's no problem with your credit card but..........Is there anyone out there who DOESN'T know that this is a scam????
rachel from card holder services ...... Someone shut them down please!!!
Let's see: their machine calls multiple times a day...different number on caller ID each time...their call is not answered here, EVER...they make no money here...they get no information here...they continue to call. These people have to be the dumbest bastards on earth. ...And, to continue calling here instead of moving on to the idiots who actually answer or call them back, will eventually leave them to be very hungry & broke. You just can't fix stupid....
Rachel the Robot is still working the lines.
It's Rachel or the second call today was for alarm take your choice
Credit card phishing scam
These people call all the time , why are we on the DO NOT CAll LIST , if these dummies keep getting away with it. Its not just them its a bunch of others.......This is crazxy......DO NOT CALL LIST ... ITS THE BIGGEST JOKE OF ALL
They call daily to give me lower interest rates on my credit cards. The problem here is I don't have any credit cards.
Automated message to lower the interest rate on my credit card. I don't have a credit card.
Multiple robo calls to cell phone. When I was able to speak to a person, they hung up on me when I asked them to stop calling. They have continued to call.
@James...they just use another one of their 200 or so numbers so you gain nothing.
Call came in at5:46PM pst on 2/15/12 and just said on the tv screen cell phone. I didn't pick up but did look up the number and it looks like it is a telemarker, or scam, don't these people use their brains and see that the phone number appears on the tv and if person doesn't recongnize it will not answer. So LAME are these people.
Its funny to me I get a call from 212-777-3436 and then about an hour later get this call. Seems connected to me.
Just got a call. called the number back. didn't even ring when I called.
Received 3+ calls in one day from this number. Decided to call back, and it immediately went to a line to have you enter your phone number to be removed from calling list. We entered nothing, but it thanked us for giving the number and said our number would be removed. Am sure they can see what number is calling. . .
I can't wait to find out who this is.
if you have att uverse for home phone sign onto your account, you can block up to 20 numbers also can block anybody hiding their caller id
These people call me all the time. It's an automated message that says something about lowering the interest rate on my credit cards. I do not have any credit cards. They give you an option to push to be removed or to speak to someone. I used to always push the button to be removed. They kept calling. Then I started holding to reach a live person. The instant I would start to ask them questions, they would hang up on me. With today's call I pretended to be interested in their offer. "Why yes, I do have more than $4000 in credit card debt." She started to ask me questions. I said before I release my personal info, I want to know more about who I am giving it to. I asked the name of their company. They said, "Card Member Services." I asked if they had a website. They said they would give that to me after I was registered. I questioned about why I should release my personal information if they will not even give me their website and they hung up on me. And before you ask - yes, I've been on the DNC registry for several years now.
Recorded message, "This is Rachel from cardholder services;" want to help you lower interest rates on your credit cards.
Received 4 calls today. Have received many in past. This time I will block the calls; they use several numbers.
They may also do a "work from home" thing (scam?)- a local Washington DC # indicated the call came from someone in a nearby neighborhood; "Gladys ____" was name that appeared on ID.
Ah, but the caller is not in Oregon. The credit reprice scammers and the security system hawkers have been using entire swaths of numbers in the northwest US for months now. Last year you may recall that numbers from tiny Errol, New Hampshire were the favorites.
Why on earth would I want to refinance my house in Maryland with some scam outfit in Oregon? What a bunch of useless morons.
Getting this same message from multiple phone numbers. I have used my blocking feature on my phone but they always change. Reporting to DNC site!
Hung up when I answered. Just block the call.
Have called three times in last three days at about noon mountain time, from three different and widely separated numbers. Didn't answer any; blocked them.
nuisance caller dialed three to be removed yesterday and today
