The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

interestsavingstoday calls from 2 phone numbers:
I use a process that at least ties up one of these extended warranty jerk caller's time, thus possibly preventing them from calling others at the same time. It doesn't seem to make any difference in the frequency of calls but at least it gives me a little satisfaction: Press "1" to talk to a human, who invariably asks for your vehicle VIN, engage them in conversation and sound interested. Tell them you're going to get the VIN, put them on hold or set the phone down. Go about your business but return to the phone every few minutes stating you are still looking for information. I've had these clowns stay on for over five minutes while I pull this charade. Eventually they hang up but at least you've used a little of their time without giving up anything. I may try an air horn next.
I don't know what UTCAnn's problem is, but this is DEFINITELY not Dave Ramsey. And since her IP number was logged with that complaint, Dave may have a case of libel against her.
I got a call from this number, but instead of Heather with card services this time, I got All About U Vacations. I filed a DNC complaint.

Lets put a stop to this sleazbag company!
I received a call Wednesday night(April 23) from this number. The call was about expiring warranty. I got my extended warranty from my dealer back in May of last year. I pressed "1" to get a live person, told that person that they had dialed a cellphone in Louisiana and that there's a $1300 fine per call since it's illegal to call a cellphone in LA. Before the guy could say anything, I hung up on him.
Set your landline phone to forward calls to your cell. Then program your cell to recognize this number to ring as "silent". Problem hasn't gone away. But, they become less annoying somewhat.
They called my cell phone and I have registered my cell phone on
do not call my cell phone
When I called the number I got a recording that the number has been
It was for extended warranty coverage for the car.
Looks to be an ID Theft ring as they would not give any details on their company. They stated they were located in Atlanta but their CLID did not match location.
Maddening!! "Lower your interest rate." When I pressed '1' and got a live person (who was very hard to understand) and asked for company name, she said "Card Services." Then I asked for the phone number. She said something to people in the background about me asking for information, and they all laughed hysterically and she finally hung up. I've been getting these calls off and on for a few months. About once a week now. I've filed complaints at the DNC website, but no apparent results. I also sent e-mail to DNC asking why no results, and I received a huge package of forms in the mail that they wanted me to fill out with additional info about the calls. I had already given them all the info I had, so that wouldn't have helped. Seems like they should be able to track down these jerks, what with all the info on this website.
No message left on voice mail, but several listings on my CID - when I try to call back, recording says it is a number no longer in service. I am registered on the No-call list. So far, they have always reached my voice mail.
Received a call on my cell phone from this number - I only give out my cell phone number to family and close friends, so when I don't recognize a number, I don't answer. Of course, no message was left in voice mail.
they called and I pressed 1 for live body stated we were on do not call list and if did not remove would file complaint and they hung up !!! so I did a Google search of # and got a 866 # for them and asked to be removed and 2 min. later the SOB's called again !!!!
Some more information about who's behind these calls:
His name is DAVE RAMSEY, a financial writer and host of a radio show.
You can call his company at 1-888-326-2564 and tell them what you think of their calls.
I did not answer this call since I did not recognize the number. When I called the number back I received the same scratchy unofficial "no longer in service" message that was mentioned by Ned on 4/16. I filed a complaint with the FCC: www.donotcall.gov
Something about Auto Warranty coverage expiring -- scam.
HERE'S WHO THESE SCUMBAGS ARE: www.interestsavingstoday.com Address: 1583 E. Silverstar Road Suite 310 Ocoee, Florida 34761. Give this information to your state Attorney General's Office! This company tries to get your credit card & bank account numbers--no doubt to use or sell to crooks! Call them at 1-888-326-2564 and let them know you're filing a complaint!!
caller ID listed this as Kansas City, MO, but 305 is a miami, Fl area code. The recorded msg left on my v-mail said it was about "my product warranty coverage" but looking at others' posts on this, it is probably the same "reduce your credit card debt" calls I've been getting from FL. what scammers!! (I never answer any of these calls). Please, someone throw the book at these people!
2nd call in a week. no one there.
More consolidate your debt calls
PLEASE EXCUSE ME FROM TYPING IN UPPER CASES. THIS IS A SCAM. A ATTEMPT TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY. BEEN RECIEVING CALLS FROM THEM FOR TWO STRAIGHT MONTHS, DID NOT ANSWER DUE TO UNVALIABLE BEING IN CALLER ID. THEN I RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL WITH THE NUMBER OF 561 482-7092 FROM BOCCA, FL. GOT SICK OF TWO CALLS EACH DAY FOR THE TWO MONTHS WITH THREE RINGS UNTIL I ANSWERED ON 04/21/08. IT WAS A RECORDED MESSAGE FROM A COMPANY CLAIMING TO BE ACCOUNT SERVICES GIVING ME THE OPTION OF PRESSING 1 TO SAVE ON MY CREDIT RATE OR 2 TO NOT RECEIVE ANY FURTHER NOTICES. I QUICKLY PRESS 2 TO NOT RECIEVE ANY FURTHER NOTICES AND GUESS WHAT? THAT WAS ON 4/18/08 FRIDAY. IT IS NOW 4/21/08 AND THEY ARE AREADY CALLING ME AGAIN. AFTER REVIEWING THIS SITE ON 4/18/08, I KNEW THE TWO CALLS I RECIEVED TODAY WERE FROM THE SAME SCAM. THE NUMBERS TODAY 4/21/08 SHOWED 305 392-9247 (MIAMI, FL) WHICH BY THE WAY IS ALREADY DISCONNECTED AND 202 000-0000 (UNAVAILABLE). PEOPLE THIS IS SERIOUS!!!!. THE FIRST THING TO DO IS GO TO YOUR PHONE COMPANY. TELL THEM YOU SOMEONE IS ATTEMPTING TO STEAL YOUR IDENITIY AND USING BOGUS CALLER ID NUMBERS, (ALL OF THEIR NUMBERS THEY CALL FROM ARE BOGUS). THEN TELL THEM YOU NEED TO TRACE THE NUMBER. ONCE THE NUMBER IS TRACED YOU NEED TO FILE A POLICE REPORT ABOUT AN IDENITIY THEFT. DON'T LET THEM PUSH YOU AWAY (POLICE DEPT) AS THIS IS SERIOUS. WHILE MOST DEPARTMENTS WILL PUT MOST RESOURCES IN LOCAL DWI'S, THIS IS A PERSONAL SAFETY ISSUE. I WILL POST AGAIN TO LET YOU KNOW THE PROGRESS BUT WE MUST ALL DO THE SAME TO BRING A QUICK CLOSE TO THIS SCAM!!!! . THANKS FOR SITES LIKE THIS.
305-595-9680 is IXE Accelerated Financial Services. They have another number 888-226-5185; and they must pay 50 cents plus long distance charges when receiving anonymous calls repeatedly from a pay phone.
See a pay phone; call 888-226-5185. Friends can do likewise. Get thousands to call and have IXE get the AXE!
The following levels the playing field a bit:
The company behind these calls is IXE Accelerated Financial Services, and they have been calling from various numbers over the last few months. Google, for example, '516-482-7092', and you will recognize the complaints.
The great news is: IXE Accelerated Financial Serivices has a toll-free number: 1-888-226-5185.
Call this number from a public (i.e., PAY) phone booth to voice your concerns multiple times. They have to pay significantly (over $0.50 per call) each time they pick up because they have to reimburse the pay phone company on top of their regular phone bills!
This gets their attention. Ask them to remove your number. It's gratifying to know that they have to pay more than $0.50 to hear your concerns, and that you can make them pay more if they continue to harass you.
2nd night in a row. last night answered phone and stayed on line...recording...wanted to lower my credit card interest rate. Did not say what credit card..hung up
I get the same call once a week. A recorded voice "This is Heather from Financial Services." etc. Press 1 for live person. Usually it is a private number but finally a number showed up to track them down. I have tried pressing 1 and when I get the live person I ask for a supervisor, am put on hold and disconnected. Finally, I have asked them to put me on their Do Not Call list. That was last week and I still got a call this week, but it may take a while to implement.
recorded call from Heather at account services saying there was nothing wrong with my credit card but I should call immediately to lower my interest rate...
called regarding lower interest rates
These calls sound like a scam. They say that they represent my credit card companies and want to give me a better rate. That's when I hang up, but I am sure they wanted personal info.
I have had several calls from this number on all my home phones and on my cell phone. Always the same message about reducing credit card rates. I am on the do not call registry on all lines.
Automated msg to lower credit card rate. Human wouldn't give company name for the third time. Won't stop calling.
Didn't answer. They left no message but we've received calls from this number before. We never
answer unless we know (via caller ID) who is calling. I'm sick of telemarketers, political
campaign callers, tele-surveyors etc.
These guys are relentless. They've called me at work, on my home line and today on my cell phone. All my numbers are registered with the do not call registery, except for my office line, but they don't seem to respect the law. You get an automated message saying that they've been trying to get in touch regarding the vehicle warranty expiration and press 1 to speak to a body or 2 to disconnect. The message after pressing 2 says that this number has been removed from their list, but it's infuriating that they think they can bend the rules!
"Heather" from account services. I pressed 1 to speak to a person and asked the name of the company. The guy said, "Financial Services Incorporated" and said he'd put me on their do not call list. Yeah, right.
when i tried to call back it said number was disconnected but didn't sound like a phone company recording was in fairly broken english
Female voice left answering machine message about lowering credit. They did not identify who they were or what company she represented. I did not call them, but I filed a complaint against them to the National Do No Call Registry >> www.donotcall.gov
This is not the first time, I've received such a message. They keep changing their return phone number.
It was that annoying "Credit Card Services" debt consolidation thing that has been tying up phone lines (here, at least) for the last few months offering refinancing if you owe more than $3,000.
recording from Heather Account Services regarding my credit card. Hung up - call traced to South Central Florida.
When I called back the number after seeing it on my caller id (have been getting a couple of calls from the 305 area code), it rang a few times, then a recorded message came on (and not the usual phone company voice, I worked for the phone co for 29 years) stating I had reached a number that was not in service and to check the number and dial again or call 411 for assistance. This was just a couple of hours after the time recorded on my caller id. I report anyone to the do not call website as soon as I receive any type of call. So they have been reported. Jerks!!!!
Wasn't home... just saw it in the caller ID. We're on the no call list. These people are ignoring it. I get a similar call 3-4 times a week it seems.
Suggests that the warranty coverage on my car is expiring. And to extend that coverage to continue call. Or to press another number to ignore future calls.
My car is 13 yrs old. That warranty died a long time ago.
I got the same bogus recording on my home answering machine (I refuse to answer the phone for a call from a number I don't recognize and have it take time away from me that I could be spending with my kids after a long day!). Some crap about offering me a reduced rate on my CC and I had to act quickly because this offer won't last. Press '1' to be connected to a live rep to take advantage of the offer or press '2' to be removed from getting further calls. I did neither (pressing 2 would only confirm a 'live' number to keep harrassing!). I have reported them to the FCC and the Complaint section on the DoNotCall.gov website. Scumbags!
didn't answer, when called back scratchy, tinny (fake) message said number was disconnected
Aholes called and just listened to answering service. I was on a long distance call and hung up to hear who was calling me from Miami, FL and they just listened for a few seconds and hung up.
go to versadebts website, to the contact us option. I left them an email threatening a class action lawsuit and the calls have tapered off, at least from them. If enough of us do this maybe thell stop being such jackasses
As I expected, they called again today. This time the caller ID said Kansas City MO, not Orlando or Miami as listed on previous caller ID's. This time they claimed that it was urgent that I extend my car warantee or I would be liable for all costs of repair. Told them I had a 1940 Porche and they hung up (were Porches even made back then?:-])I imgine I'll hear again from them within the next day or so offering me a free trip or maybe another shot at reducing my credit card interest rate. BTW I contacted my phone company, COX, and they advised me to change my number if the calls didn't stop.
I pressed "1" (on two different incoming calls from this number) after getting three of these calls in two days. I've spoken to a "Tyler" yesterday and told him I was on the DNC list and to remove my number from their calling list. Low and behold I get another call today. Pressed "1" again and got "Rachel". I really laid into her and filed three complaints with various reporting agencies, most notably the FCC. This annoys me to no end. It's either crap in the mail from Florida (sweepstakes, etc.) or harassing phone calls phishing for private info. If you get a call from this number, go to the FCC website and file a complaint.
Same old message same old story. Heather again. I guess I have had over one hunderd calls from either Heather and her friends fro Account Services and Financial Services and Warranty Services and their apparently no longer active Vacation Fraud.
Have received at least 30 automated telephone calls with a recording telling me this is the 2nd warning that my automobile warranty is running out. I finally decided to try to get them to stop calling. I pressed '1' to
talk to a representative. As soon as she started talking I asked what Company they were calling from.
She hung up on me. I do not have caller id so pressed #69 and this number showed as the last call received.
Upon the second call I enjoy taking the loudest possible whistle that I own and waiting for the next human to pick up then get their attention by whispering to them and finally blow the whistle with everything you've got. I hope they bleed out of their ears!
Something about low rates and etc. Added them to the "do not call list" of viatalk.com console
Bot told me "Your car warranty is about to expire or has expired; we have sent you several notices." I do not own a car and opted to speak to a rep who identified himself as "Warranty Service Center" and when I asked "what is the identity of your company" he disconnected.
I got a call from this number 9pm last night. The company this time was Auto Protection Center. Turns out they are hiring and have want ad posted on CareerBuilder.com web site: I called the number listed: 678- 238-1352. Answers "Human Resources." The gentleman would not let me speak to anyone else in the company -said all calls and complaints go thru HR. (Huh?) Said that they are outbound callers and do not accept incoming calls -- even if you want to call them to do business (huh?) The gentleman says that there are loop holes and even though I am on the Federal DNC list, doesn't mean I can't be on their list. He would not answer why they can over-ride the Federal List. So if you want to annoy them as much as the are annoying to us:
Call 678=238=1352. (Auto Protection Center which also seems to masquerade as the lower interest rate scam).
Address: 4501 Circle Parkway, SE, Atlanta, GA 30339.
FUCKERS WONT STOP CALLING ME!!!! PRIVATE NUMBER, DO NOT CALL LIST, CHANGED PHONE SERVICE TO GET AWAY, BUT THEY WONT FUCKING STOP!!!!! I DON"T HAVE ANY CREDIT CARD DEBT YOU FUCKING CUNTS!!! STOP FUCKING HARASSING ME!!!! BREAKING FEDERAL LAWS, FUCK OFF AND DIE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!!! I FUCKING HATE YOU!!!!!!
I didn't answer the call and it didn't go into voice mail
Never leave any messages--that is why I do not pick up
called offering lower interest rate on card, first they wanted the phone number on back of credit card, then the credit card number, told them no way we were going to give them that
Started with a recorded voice saying car warranty was about to expire. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, the operator refused and then hung up.
Something about a vacation or some such shit..I am so tired of these calls. Once a month is even TOO MUCH.
This number called my home at 8:30 pm and sat on the line for about 10 seconds after the machine answered. I did not pick up and they did not leave a message. Reverse phone number search shows this number to have originated in Miami, FL.
Two calls today, answer machine on, no one talks or leaves message. Very annoying.
305- 595-9680 has called several times, however, this is the first time I've reported it.
same old drill, press 1 for operator to lower my debt........... spoke to an idiot on the phone. he hung up on me when i asked for his company info.
Called and didn't leave message. Please leave me alone!
Recorded message said I'd just won a free cruise, and to press 9 to claim my prize.
This is an apparent scam and should be reported to FCC or Dept of commerce. This is regarding extended warrenty on auto. Push 1 to not call again, push 2 to speak to a representative. Finally pushed 2 and got a rep and ask what car they were referring to. They hung up. I did a reverse number look up and see that the call originated from South Miami Florida, at the intersection of South Bayshore drive and SW 27th Avenue, near the Coconut Grove Convention Center. They continue to call and they even call my cell phone.
I am reporting this to the FCC and Florida authorities.
Didn't answer. Tried calling back and got 'this number is disconnected- etc'.
VersaDebt has struck again (twice in one day) "hi, this is Heather from Account Services...". I'm filing yet another complaint with the Do Not Call registry & FCC:
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC):
The Federal Trade Commission
This seems to be your basic scam call.
Message plays saying it is urgent I push 1 to lower my interest rate on my credit card balance, of which I have none, or press 2 to cancel further calls. When I hung up and called the number back they played a scratchy recording of a man mimicking the phone company message that the number is no longer in service.
The voice on the other end was breathless and ardent, able to express the danger that I faced: "Your auto warranty is about to expire." It was a female voice that reminded me of the one we hear on so many political commercials of every stripe when the evil opponent is described. These people are really sharp! The 305 area code is in Florida, not Missouri; and my car is out of warranty. It's eight years old and has 135,000 miles on it. And it's doing quite fine, thank you.
I looked up the number on here, noticed what others were saying, I called the number back, received the same "disconnect" message, filed a complaint.
Recorded message from Heather in "account services" and she can lower my mc/visa rates if I press 1. Another woman answers and hangs up on me when I ask what company she is from. I have had MANY MANY calls from these losers.
Must be some sort of a scam when it is just a recording.
I'd been expecting a particular call. So when I just missed the call, I immediately called back, thinking it was my expected party. What I got was a recording telling me that the number had been disconnected (even though someone from that number had phoned me not 10 seconds prior); but the voice on the recording sounded like a Special Olympics contestant.
I have had repeated calls from this number. I never pick up. No voicemail, but I did call back once and got a busy signal.
Glad to know it's a scam... I won't pick up ever! Thx!
I didn't answer it, but when I tried to call the number back, it said "Your international call could not be completed". Yes, just a bit fishy.
"Hello, this is a courtesy care notice that the warranty for the vehicle you are driving is about to expire..." hung up after this, reporting to FCC, so much for the do not call list. Bloody boiler room scammers preying on innocents should be soundly beaten and deprived of phone/internet and penalized with all of the enforcement costs, recovery costs, victim retribution costs, etc. And what the heck is it with FLORIDA? Apparently the Nigeria of the US, the major industry is to scam the rest of the country.
How did they get my number?
I did the same thing that Ned did...they called my cell phone when I called the number back I got that same recording...scratchy saying the number was no longer in service.
They've called me a few times now. I'm in Oregon. Sometimes they leave a message about credit cards, but today they didn't leave a message. They called today at 9:02am and I didn't answer. I'm on the DoNotCall List.
I've been hanging up on 'Heather the computer voice' for months now, and just for ha ha's I listened to the entire message about lowering my interest rate.
I pressed 1 to speak to a live representitive, who when finding out that I wanted my phone number removed from their auto-dial harrassing phone calls, didn't say a word expect BEEP and hung up. He actually said BEEP. It wasnt a mechanical beep, it was the guy I had just spoke to.
That's a riot. I'm on the no call list too, so I'm going to report this number.
Called a little after 10 a.m. and I hung up after hearing credit card spiel (might have been real person or recording, couldn't tell). They called again half hour later and when I saw caller ID just picked up and hung up.
This number called me yesterday but I didn't answer it. The caller ID showed the number and Miami, FL, and I don't know anyone who lives there.
Saw this number on my caller ID on 16 Apr 08. Called it back and got a scratchy imitation of Phone Company's "This number is no longer in service." Must be a SCAM.
Offering to lower my interest rate, but did not say who they were or what interest rate they were talking about. My house and car are paid for. Assume it was a scam. Reported.
called @ 8:15PM with an automated message telling me I won a cruise. I didn't stay on the line long enough to hear the catch.
Just another mindless, autodialer telemarketer from a slut named Brandi... yeah right!!!
They have been calling for a several weeks now. Normally I just hang up but the calls were frequent enough for me to started listening to the message. They gave me option two to cancel further calls which I've done a number of times already, but the calls keep coming. I registered my complaint at:
as suggested by John, below.
(it was very quick)
recorded message says - you have won a cruise, press one to recieve your prize, press to to be taken off the list.
Kansas City Mo on called id
The FCC has an easy complaint form to register formal complaints against these type of calls:
They called twice today, Started with a recording about lowering credit card interest rates, then -- "Press 1 to speak to an operator". So I did and got a guy who said they area a "debt consolidation service". He agreed immediately agreed to remove me from their calling list.
Didn't answer the phone as we didn't recognize the number..they never left a message either..called the number back out of curiousity and got the "disconnected" message...
Recieved a call today and was not home. Have been getting calls for 3 days now from this number.
recieved a call offering to lower my interest rate on credit cards - pushed 1 for more information. They said I was qualified and they would contact my banks and negotiate lower interest rates. No cost to me. Stated they were financial advisors for a company called "CardServices". They wanted name/address/credit card numbers. I asked for their company name and website so I could verify they are a reputable company and they could not give me anything. I then told them they must not be a reputable company and I would pass on their offer and would NOT give out my info. They hung up. DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO TO SOMEONE YOU DID NOT CALL!
had several calls on caller id in past, today phone rang, i answered, nobody wanted to talk, then heard click of hangup, weird, what's the scam here?
She tried to sell me a vacation package over the phone. After having a lengthy discussion, thinking I might actually buy something, I asked for a phone number to call them back at and a web address so that I could verify that they are legitamate, then she hung up on me!! So I'm pretty sure this is a scammer...don't buy anything!
Dialed back. Got "disconnected number" message.
received call from this # saying they could lower my variable credit card rates. told them i didn't have variable rates and they asked me for a social security # to obtain information to make sure they were looking at the right account. i told them no way and they hung up on me.
i called back the # on caller id only to hear a recording.
i called information and they have no information about this #, could not find it.
don't take these calls.
2nd call in a week. no one there.
something about Credit cards
This seems to be your basic scam call.
Message plays saying it is urgent I push 1 to lower my interest rate on my credit card balance, of which I have none, or press 2 to cancel further calls.
When I hung up and called the number back they played a scratchy recording of a man mimicking the phone company message that the number is no longer in service.
This is illegal activity to solicit in this manner. Do not receive calls from this number or push any buttons as you may incur charges.
Recorded message from "Heather at account services". New number, same story. Kept them on the line long enough to get their tail wagging, then told them they were being recorded and reported for fraud.
