How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

called me 5:38 pm said her name was Carrie calling about credit Card something or another.Told her I wasn't interrested and hung up.
Called last Monday morning and again this morning, 30 April. Left messagae on machine regarding a credit card. The call came from Cancun, Mexico. It's a SCAM. Beware.
I received a phone call, 04/27/07, from this number and when I answered it I received a mesaage saying "This is Credi Services and we need to talk to you about your accounts" "To talk to a rep press 1" When I talked to the rep the first thing he did was he asked me how much do you owe? I said if you have access to my accounts you should know. He again said How much do you owe on credit cards? I said is this my bank and if so what is the name of it? He said no we are Credit Services and we can get you a lower Interest Rate.
I said if you can beat 12%, and are you planning on lowering the rates, Yes he said. I said NO I will stay with the present rate I have.
He said well if you want to be a Dumb As* and pass this up then Bye.
I said BYE
Sounds kinda funny for a rep to talk to people like that
Basically a Big Scam
Tried to call the number back , you can't.
This number called in early afternoon, When my machine picked up, it hung up. We are ALSO on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
Recieved this call mid-afternoon. Didn't answer,they didn't leave a message.
Just received a call from this number, didn't pick up because I didn't know anyone in that area code. They left no message.
Called at 1:12 pm on April 20. When husband answered no one would talk, they hung up.
called around noon and didn't leave message on machine. after reading other reports, must be credit card scammer. BEWARE!!
Called me on 4/18/07 @ 1:35 PM MST.
Automated Msg - Card Service. Said no problem with my acct but to press '1' to lower my rate if I had $2500 or more in debt.
Person I talked to said $4000. Repeatedly tried to find out if I owed more than $4000 and when I said I didn't they hung up. They also said they didn't have access to my acct balance (there's a clue).
No personal info given but I called my credit card company just to make sure they weren't running a promo. They weren't.

Received this call on 4/18/07 at 1:52pm - "credit co." I too dialed 1 for a cust. rep and a male answered. When I asked to be taken off their list, he told me, "no" I said "excuse me?" and he stated, I said no and you sound like a B-tch!" He then hung up on me! I am BEYOND LIVID!!

They left a message on my machine saying that I have a credit card debt of $2500 or more, and they could get me a reduction on my interest rate.
I got the same message as ZB, regarding my credit card. When I told the person I don't have a credit card, she hung up on me.

Called me on the 13th of March, 2007 at 3:04PM with a recorded message about my credit card adding that there was not any problem with it, but dial 1 to talk to a customer service rep. When I got a rep on the line, I told him that my number was on the do not call list and please do not call me again. He told me to shove the Do not call list up my a**. After a shouting match with him, he hung up. I did report this number to Donotcall.gov
