It's disgusting. You would'nt believe the nauseating feeling I get in my stomache when someone mentions the word Canada. I think its worse than getting sprayed with tear gas once an hour for eternity. Seriously. And thats pretty fucking bad.

These call center vacations are not SCAMS you fucking hills have eyes mongoloids! They are an attempt to create business to a business and in turn you get a great vacation you broke ignorant fucks. My Friend was scammed a while ago and this is the advice I gave him which should be useful for Canadians and maybe some americans. This is not a legally binding contract however times they say it is. They did not say it was a sales call from the start, they did not disclose all restrictions and terms of conditions such as if it is non refundable before the pitch, they provide misleading information about the trip by over inflating the value and they over charged the credit card. what does this all mean? They are in violation of section 52(1) and 52(3) of the canadian competition act for providing MISLEADING INFORMATION (over inflating price of trip), they have also committed fraud according to section 380 of the canadian criminal code, such as over charging a persons credit card which is a punishable offense up to 10 years. They're from out of the country, so they don't have to abide by the do not call registry, I don't think. What an annoying workaround. Both times they've called, I've stayed on the line to get to an operator to tell them to stop calling. The calls were about 30 days apart, and I'll bet they'll call again.

I recieved a call from the number 52-998-287-3507 on may 25th 2007. It showed up as unknown number so I reported it to the national do not call registry.

Received call on cell phone. Didn't answer. Caller ID was "+529982873507", most likely a scam.

I'm sick and tired of the companies that either have recorded messages or are afraid to identify themselves! So much for the "do not call" registry.

I just thought that it was a new telemarketing trick to scramble the phone # up on the caller ID so you couldn't find out who was calling. I never thought anyone would spend the money to make expensive international phone calls just to interupt other people eating dinner in another country. LOL.

These calls are the worst. The operator barely speaks english, wont answer my question & if I do get a chance to tell them I am on the do not call list, they laugh at me & hang up. This has happened at least a dozen times!! Several times a week for well over a month. I am starting to get really ticked off. These people should got to jail for harassment!!

Honestly, To everyone who put "I'm on the Do Not Call List": Think for a second. The DNC list applies to calls within the *US*. The Do Not Call complaints will accept the country code 52. Eventually this can work - DirecTV was fined 5 million for calling people on the DNC list.

I do not have caller ID, so I do not know the number. When I pressed 9 to speak with an agent, I told him to remove my phone number from their roster as we are on the "no call" registry. He refused to let me speak with a supervisor and laughed when I told him I was going to report the company for violations to the FCC. I emailed the FCC, but if they are located in Mexico, I do not know if the FCC has any jurisdiction.

Anyway, these people left a voice mail. I don't answer "Out of Area"s or "Unknown Caller"s. The voice mail was an ad telling me about a vacation I could have for $99 and to just press "9" and they gave me a confirmation code. Annoying automated telemarketing.

The Do Not Call registry has no power over this number because it only takes care of calls place inside the United States. This call is being place from Mexico. So unless Mexico has a list also we all have to either tell them off on the phone or ignore that number when it calls. Another option is see if you telephone provider offers blocking of calls from outside the U.S.

I went ahead and pressed 9 to get "more information".
It rang and was answered by a guy with a heavy accent (Indian, I think). He said, "Would you like to know more about Cancun Vacations?"
I said, "No, I'd like to be taken off your call list."

Received call from 998-237-3507. Listened to the message and as soon as they were done I placed a complaint with the NDC. If everyone makes a complaint then these calls will stop.

This call for me was from the Cancun Vacation Center and same advisory, that I was elgible with a 925 code for vacation in Cancun and Walt Disney World. I'm also on the do not call list, however not sure how it is applied to a foreign caller.

It's a Mexican number and there is no international agreement or treaty that applies domestic US "Do Not Call" regulation outside the US. So, anybody who wants to call me or you from outside the US, selling whatever they want, can do so without fear of a lawsuit or other sanctions. Expect more of this! Ain't capitalism great? Answered, it was a recorded message (woman's voice) telling me that my family had been selected for a vacation to Cancun for $99. There was no "opt out" button, so I pressed 9 to talk to someone. He asked if I was interested, I asked him the name of his company. He asked again if I wanted a vacation, and I again said, "I'd like to know the name of this company." He hung up on me.

Today was the second call from this number. It comes up "unknown name" on ID and I did not answer it either time. I knew it had to be from out of the country since there were 12 digits in the number. No message was left on my machine. We are also on the "do not call list."

I am sick of these calls as well. I don't have voice mail or an answering machine so I didn't answer. The phone rang about 20 times before they finally gave up. It said "unknown name" on the caller so I didn't answer it. I wish these people would quit calling.

Same as others have reported, got a pre-recorded message about a vacation offer on 3/2/2007. I hung up on them. I am also reporting this to donotcall@fcc.gov. The more complaints they get the more likely they can/will track these perps down.

These calls are originating in Mexico, you know, another country??? They may not have to adhere to US law when it comes to the DNC list, unless, which I suspect, it's a US owned company. I get very few of these calls thanks to the DNC, don't bash, it works, but it's not perfect. Always report these calls on the donotcall.gov site! Click on 'File A Complaint' and let them track these people down.

Unknown name. I am so mad at these calls - decided to answer to find out who this was as I was sure I'd not be able to call back with *69 to find out who was calling - probably out of country and not about to pay to find out.

11:38 am, got call from this number, I did not answer. No message was left.

No message, when I answer there is no one there. No name, I googled the # and this is where it lead me. I am alos on the DO NOT CALL list.

We received a recorded message informing us we can take a mexican vacation for $99 and we just needed to press 9. We didn't answer it was on our machine. We're on the do not call list.

unknown name: 998-287-3507: googled: cancun: i only answer calls with names that i know: i have a caller i.d. unit that is separate from my telephone: i unplug the telephone and let the caller i.d. record the calls --when i need to sleep, or whatever: when i want to know who called, i check the caller i.d. box.
i am 'non-published': automated call systems, just call repeatedly until they get a live response. if it's real people calling because it's what they have as employment: i do not answer the phone unless it has a name that i know.

I jsut got my first call from this number today...12-30-06! I do not know who they are or what they want.No name was given

This number showed up on the caller id yet they left no message. I am on the do not call list as well.

They call every 4 hours - I do not answer and I am on the do not call list - how can we stop them

I am on the do not call list too. Call came up at 1:36 pm at Unknown Name. There was an electroic sound such as a Fax machine on the other end.

The number showed up on my caller I.D., though I am on the "Do Not Call List". They did not leave a message

number on caller ID..I screen calls and no message was left. Googgled the number and here I am.
