S.S. message conerning prescription drug assistance. Said they sent me a letter but I never got it or I thought it was junk mail and threw in before reading.

I got a call from that number today and it was an automated soc security call regarding filling out paperwork previously mailed about their prescription drug program. They left a number to call if you need help filling out the paperwork. Think it is legit.

It was an automated recording that wanted to remind me of an ajudication hearing in Alberquerquee, New Mexico. They said my hearing was two days from now on 10-24-2012 and that I have not yet completed the required paper work. Last time I checked, I am no juvenile who needs to attend a court hearing, so the word ajudication threw me off... lol talk about a fail.

AMERICAN VOICE 9724971400 is a call for someone at you number receiving reminders of phone contact appointment by a Social Security Agent or a hearing etc. An answering machine or voice mail should pick this message up for you. It is a legal no spam number and a voice mail system Social Security Administration uses to leave a automated voice message for the recipient who gave them you phone number for contact. Calling this number back will render useless. You should never block this number.

Received a call from this number today and did not answer as I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. No message was left. If it is Social Security (which I doubt)they wouldn't be calling me on my cell phone, they would be calling on my home phone. Me thinks it is a scam.

I received a call from this number, caller ID said American Voice. This is a message service from the Social Security office reminding me of my appointment for the next day. Because it is a messaging service you cannot call that number back but the message does states a legitimate call back number for the Social Security office.

i got some call with a recorded message, reminding me of some hearing relating to some disability discrimination or something. I was supposed to check my summons for information, very non-specific. Of course I did not have anything of that nature and the inclination is to call back where I assume they offer to look up your details for you. In other words they are fishing for information by encouraging you to call them, thinking yu missed something important.

American Voice called us twice but when I try to call the number I get a busy signal.

They left a message saying it was the Social security Office....I tried to call back but the call wouldn't go thru. So I researched the number and seen this and wanted to report it !

Yes, they left a message. It is the SSDI office, calling to remind you of a meeting. It isn't a scam. But, because it's an automated message you cannot call back. What gets me is, if they would just check their own mail, they'd find my confirmation long ago. Sheesh!

This call is from the Social Security Office. It was calling to remind me of an appt I have.

I received a call from (972) 497-1400 at 10:30 AM, May 20, 2011. Caller ID showed, "American Voice" as the caller. The caller laimed to represent a Medicare prescription service. I did not provide any information and hung before the call was completed. After having filed complaints with the National Do Not Call Registry, ATT and the Social Security Administrtion, I found a legitimate number for American Voicemail. I called that number and voiced my complaint. The operator who answered my call told me that number had been deactivated two years previously and that American Voicemail is taking steps to identify and prosecute the caller.

Social Security Adminstration says they do NOT have another party calling with reminders. That happens via local office, your attorney, or mail. I plan to pursue this through the legal system. Someone has MY information and I DO NOT like it at all. Yes, the number is DISCONNECTED if you try to call it back. BIG RED FLAG PEOPLE.

What is this? Why is there no way to find out who this is and HOW they got my phone number. U can run but you can't hide forever ass wipes.

I think that this is a full scale scam. There are a numerous amount of people on there stating that the calls are from different places yet with the same number. I received an automated message that they were the court house from Chicago calling to remind me of my scheduled court date. I have blocked their number from calling me again. I love digital phone systems with blocking features.

I went to call this number back within 30 minutes and the number was disconnected!!

I was told I have another telephone appt. with social security on Friday. The appt. I hade with social security is supposed to be in person. I work at night and will only have a couple of hours sleep so I want to know that the appt. I have is in person and not a phone. I have already had the phone appt. and would like to see someone in person. Please let me know by email or phone to set this straight. I have been bounced around already once before. Thanks.

yes - I received one from them as well - they hung up before I could tell them my number is on the dnc list and I would report them should they call again

This is not AmericanVoice.Com calling members it is Social Security office. AmericanVoice.Com does not call members only faxes all Lawmakers free.

Actually, it's the Social Security administration on an automated line------they are persistent but definitely well meaning!

Understand people it is from the social security administration office. government office. they are calling to remind someone of there appointment that give what ever number to contact them by. people do understand some people chang their numbers or it can be a telephone number that is off by a number or so this is not a scam. if you are awaiting for trial is a good thing to pick up and listen for the reminder message or you will miss your court day. if you did not get the confirm letter in the mail.

was a recording regarding a form that had been sent out to be filled out and sent back. i did not receive a form to me or my husband...if this is a legal thing they should send another one or explain if it was for some one else .my grandson sometimes receives mail here but again i have seen nothing from s.os. office..thank you Grace Edmond

Didn't answer because I never pick up on strange callers. If I don't know them I don't answer. Couldn't be calling me for Social Security because I am in my 20's and live alone and not disable so what's the deal?

Phone call was recieved at 1337 (1:37 pm) central on the 30th of August, 2010. There was a voice recording on the line stating a court hearing notice for the 1st of september in the state of Virginia. Actions requested to be taken were "press 1 if you recieved a notice, press 2 if you did not recieve a notice".

I Got a call from this number stating that it was from social security about prescription benefits. I had no idea what they were talking about. They I received information in the mail about this. Well if i did and it was social security from Texas then I threw it away. I don't live in Texas.

On my caller id. I did have a S. S. appt. the next day. But why would they not leave a message on my answering machine anybody else would about appt's????????!!!!!! We need to let S. S. & the Better Business Bureau know!

I didn't answer the call from American Voice, 972-497-1400. I thought it strange that they would call twice within an hour. The web says American Voice is a radio station in Texas. I didn't look further to see if there any other businesses with the same name.

I got two calls from this number on 08/11/09.It said Texas on the caller id and when I picked it up there was nobody on the other end. I doubt it was Social Security like others have claimed. I have gotten calls from Social Security before and the caller id said US goverment or Social Security.

My call was a legitimate call reminding me of an appointment at local ss office. I did not answer the first call, looked it up here and when that number called again I answered. It was a computer calling not a real person.

Their automated message also said "go to socialsecurity.gov" which i did and it wouldn't load.
Social security is instead ssa.gov which did load.

i believe it's aome high end fraudsters.

Obviously a contracted company for SSA. A wake up call, if you will. I wanna know what happens to the list ? And WHO is buying them ? I am amazed, we now use these kinds of services for gov't biz. Unbelieveable !! Does anyone know who owns this company or ? Or place of origin ?

Left voice mail that suggested someone in the house had a phone interview appointment with Social Security tomorrow. No one in the house has any appointment, so our gut suggested scam. Interesting that other folks seemed to receive legitimate reminders.

my husband passed away in april last year. got uncerimoniously thrown out of his parents house, where he & i had been forced to live because he was disabled, 2 months after his passing. a couple of months ago his parents recieved a phone call from some company or whatever calling themselves american voice. they said they were looking for me about trying to get me my late husband's social security. my husband had been disabled since 1997 had filed 10 different times & was denied all 10 times. every time i try to call the number i was given either i get a busy signal or a voice telling me that my call canno't be completed. i am in a desperate struggle to survive without ending up out on the streets. it sounded like i finally might be able to get someone to help me but after reading all of these other posts i'm beginning to think that this american voice thing is nothing but a scam. i really don't know what else i can do or where else to turn for ANY sort of help. i'm going to end up on the streets & most likely will end up dying there.

Got a call, March 24, 2009 asking me to confirm appearance in court. Pressed 2 since I did not get notice. Then system asked for name and phone number, which they just called, then asked for ss#.....Whoa! This is a scam to get numbers and may not actually originate in USA.

This was actually the contractor for the SS office reminding me to show up for my appointment. In my case, this was not a scammer.

This is a legitimate call. As soon as we got the call, we called the return number to check and see if it was true and it IS the SSI Administration. A family member had applied for benefits and it is an 'automated call' . The message does say that it could be an error if you have already spoken to them, but they go from original time the appt was entered.

Call came at 11:14am on 7-26-07. In a rare instance, the wife picked up the phone on an unknown identity. But....it was from the Social Security Administration reminding her of an appointment the following day.

A reminder from SS office for an appointment tomorrow; however the message tells me "if I missed my appointment [which is tomorrow], or cancelled it, blah blah blah..." Are they just trying to cover all bases in one sentence, or are they just stupid? I was surprised the message wasn't in Spanish!!

from American Voice (AC 214) via Social Security Office to mind me of an office appointment in Dallas Texas

Ran 972-497 through Fone Finder, was a Richardson, TX exchange. Caled number, got machine, message sounded like "England Corp" or "E-land Corp". Machine was full, unable to leave a message.

They left no message and I do not answer numbers that I do not know.

Caller could not leave a message because I have several modes on my answering mach. It is set on memo, therefore you cannot leave a message but I can see the call on my ID. My exhusband has been stalking me and calling from odd phone numbers and that is why my machine is set with this feature.

Left no message when I prescreened my calls.
WELL GUESS WHAT. I don't answer any phone calls from numbers I do not want to answer. SO LET THE CALLS KEEP COMING. THE ANSWERING MACHINE WILL GREET YOU EVERYTIME!!!!
