How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

that company really sucks, I am really shocked by what I found out about this company I was there for 3 days and already saw fights, use of drugs, sex, etc. it was horrifying i worked for the one over at 1820 water pl. ste. 250 they went by the name of vp marketing, now whta kind of name is that what do vp stand for??? they are just frauds, and thieves!!!1
I've read tons (not all) of the comments. Wish you all the best. I take a different approach. I answer, press "1" or whatever, and talk to them. TIME IS MONEY - it's an attempt at a scam, I am retired and bored, I write like I talk like I walk - which is to say I wander. I don't get mad, I get even by wasting their time, preventing them from using their time to scam someone else. Hey - I lie. If it's auto warrantee, tell them all I have is a '49 Ford. If it's lower interest on credit card, tell them I have no credit cards because my kids declared me incompentent in court. Never give them anything of value. I have fun with it. I give a street address 1500+ miles away and 50 years old combined with current city & state. Use my father's first name (been dead for 30 years) and mispell my last name or use last name of old girlfriend. Ask them to mail me information which I never get since using bogus address. I'm a simple man. I try to be good and nice to good and nice people. I try to screw more with people who are screwing with me. I waste more of their time by never getting upset or swearing. I have the time and it's more fun than shovelling the 8' high snowdrifts in my yard or the 4' ones in the driveway. It works for me, best wishes to you if you don't have the time & patience to mess with them like I do.
These criminal telemarketers illegally leave fake information on your Caller ID (hence why some of the companies who you think are the ones calling really are not, although IXE definitely is one of them, American Debt Negotiatios is the other main culprit). The only way to stop them from calling you again and again (using different spoofed Caller ID info each time) is to report them using their real identities. Information on how to do this can be found at the only web site whose focus is to do just that: heatherwithaccountservices.com.
You are quite welcome Consumer PS. ;D My next victim is IXE out of Florida, the other company that uses "Heather at Credit Card Services" and "Heather" for Car Warranty. ;D If I am on the DNC list, and you call me, and I tell you to remove me from your client's call list and your internal call list (the one "oops" call), and you laugh at me, be prepared. Especially when you put me down to be called back everyday. Complaints were filed daily with the DNC list, the Florida State Atty General's Office, and with the FCC (a 1088 complaint).
Tis not nice to piss off someone who has worked in the telemarketing industry for 15 years as an agent, a supervisor, a trainer and a floor manager, cause I know how to get the info, where to complain, and who to call. I am a telemarketers worst nightmare.
If you're on the NDNCL and have caller ID, then for goodness sake report them! donotcall.gov
Unfortunately my husband and I are too poor for caller ID right now, but this sounds like who's been calling us harrassing about credit cards and vehicle warranties (both of which we don't have!!! rrrgh).
So please, for the good of all of us, please report them if you're lucky enough to get a number. That's all you really need. donotcall.gov
I received a call saying it was urgent they talk to me about my car warranty. I said "With what company?" Their reply, "What company do you have?" I said, "I just bought a car 3 days ago, and purchased a warranty with it. Are you telling me I have a problem here, if so--Yes, I want to talk to you about it." They hung up. Just like that. I am on the DNC list.

Called today; spoke to "Rick Freedman (Friedman?] - who said they were 'affliated with a company in India' but 'could not divulge their name' - said he didn't know about the calls, but stated that the
company in India did 'many different sorts of things.' Rick kept saying 'huh' in a bored, couldn't care less about this' tone. Will be reporting him to the FCC - suggest you all do the same. Maybe
that will change his attitude. I definitely believe he is connected to these ILLEGAL, if not CRIMINAL calls.
After you make a complaint with the FCC and the FTC, you can also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau: odr.bbb.org
I did and got an apology (let's see how sincere it is!)
Contact Name and Title: M. Richardson Response Dp
Contact Phone: 1-877-383-7748
Contact Email: versadebt.com
We sincerely apologize for calls made to the resident. Our calls are generated from an outbound lead source, and if the client is on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, then I'm not sure how we obtained the contact information. That information should not be available. The residents telephone number will be added to our company DO NOT CALL list to ensure no further responses.
They called my CELL and my home phone .... all with the same message regarding my Credit Card no having a problem but that they could reduce my current card rate... touch 1 to speak to someone ... touch 2 to be removed from list. After several of these calls I decided to press 1 since 2 didn't seem to work. I spoke to rep and inquired what credit card were they calling about... She then said: All of them! I replied: So you do represent any creditor that I deal with! So please remove me from your call list and stop calling me. She then told me: I am not going to remove you , in fact, I am going to call you again tomorrow!and hung up! I immediately called the number on the caller id and received a message from an answering machine that the number had been disconnected. Is this a phishing scheme? or just a debt consolidator? Either way I intend to file a DNC complaint.
Called number back - per anywho reverse it is in Ft. lauderdale, fla. Recorded message says number has been disconnected
Spoke to gentleman referenced in one of the posts below:
O'Donald, Burt BurtODonald@ibmi-us.com @3052539977; says his firm worked with Versadebt but severed that relationship about 6 mos. ago & that they are no longer connected with their marketing activites (very helpful, by the way, be polite if you do call); he gave me a name & number for whom he believes was the last known principal for Versadebt - Jason Dwyer, 407-902-1950 & 407-902-9377.
same number came through on a voicemail message; same recording that's been used by someone identifying themselves as "Financial Services" & "United Debt Aid"; I asked to have my number placed on their "Do not call" list.
I would also like to thank Bill B. and Payback for making me tear up with laughter with their accounts.

A holes call even though I am on DO NOT CALL LIST. , They left recording, but it sounds just like an Autodialer & not a person. I thought the law said I didn't have to be bother with Telemarketers!!! I still didn't answer JUst reported here & also am Reporting it to bbb.org Maybe they can get rid of these A-holes if enough people complain.
Call came in at 8:10 pm. Not a recognizable number, so I didn't answer. No ID to go with number. I went ahead and reported the number to the "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY" ( donotcall.gov ) this am. Let them explain why they called me.
I pressed one just for giggles. When the female answered, I asked for the name of the company and she said "Warranty Direct" I believe. Then she asked for the year, make and model of my vehicle. I explained to her that she had called me, telling me that my warranty was expired. If they knew my warranty was expired why doesn't she have my vehicle info....... they hung up.
No message, called it back, just says "this number has been disconnected" WTF?!
received the call 852 PM CDT. Auto message from Heather at Card Services wanting to know if I wanted to lower my Credit card interest to 6%, press 1. A short time later a male intercepted the call and wanted to know if I was interested in lower my credit card interest? I told I was courious and wanted to know who he represented? He hung up. Checked with the Do Not call list and they show the number was just registered 03/08/2008 and I couldn't take action for 31 days. I'm going to continue trying to report this company.
initially automated call. hold on and a message from Heather from card sevices message comes on offering to lower your credit card interest to 6%. Male caller picked up and asked if I was interested in lowering my credit card interest. He hung when I asked who he was with and I didn't get time to advise him that I was on a "do not call list" Reporting this number. Caller ID show the umber as FT LAUDERDA, FL
No message left.
Missed a call from them, so being a curious person i called back. If you listen closely to the beginning and end of the recording, you can hear a mans voice, how stupid do they come! Also, since when does the operator have a southern accent? If your going to try and scam people, at least dont be a moron about it, good lord it pisses me off.
I tried to call this number back and it said "disconnected"
Call was negotiated on a dialer device, then requesting more information connected an Agent identifying the company as United Debt Aid, a company in Florida. When asked why they were calling me, I was told that they were not calling me directly, just calling anyone. I attempted to get a mailing address and was hung up on. When calling the number back, it just goes to a shady recorded message stating the number is no long in service. If you are listed on the US Do Not Call list, be sure to lodge a complaint against the caller.
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE DO NOT CALL LIST WE WERE PROMISED TO BE , SO THAT CALLS LIKE THIS WOULD STOP?
Pre-recorded message about an auto warranty about to expire and my last chance. After the recorded message I hit 1 to talk to someone, the first time they called we got disconnected. Second time the guy asked me for the make and model of my car. I told him he should already know that because he called me. Then I told him that I don't have any cars new enough to have a warranty on them, then silence until I hung up.
Did not pick up..Looked up on reverse search and found this site in info...Thank you
When I called the number back,I get the recording that it is either a "isconnected number"or "he number is not in service at this time."
When I answered, no one said anything, and then just disconnected.Isn't it so sad that these igonorant ass***** have nothing better to do than to bother busy people trying to live productive lifestyles, rather than non productive ones they have??Where is the comminications protective services stand withthis crap!?!?!? We pay lots of taxes, and extremely high phone bills, and for what? To have to put up with this nonsense.Well, I hate to do it, but foul language is my next step.oh well.

Some other info I've read after Googling the offending phone number indicates these calls are not really coming out of Florida.
Here's the FCC website address where you can file a complaint. I'm going to write down the date and time, every time these guys call. Then lodge a complaint on the FCC website each and every time. Let's take these guys down.
See Payback's message above. Thank you! I called the Florida Dept of Ag & Consumer Services, and reported them as a harassing caller. They also gave me the number for the federal do not call complaint line: 888-382-1222. Let's see how long it takes to shut them down.
I have had this same recording several times now. It gives the option to "Press one to speak with a representative about reducing your interest rate now," or press 2 to not receive calls anymore. I have tried both options and am still getting calls. Today, Shauntay asked whether I had pressed one to reduce my interest rate, and when I replied no and began to ask her not to call anymore, she hung up. I tried twice to call the number back, and both times the call was picked up, then immediately hung up.--
Calls and hangs up.
Rang and hung up when answering machine picked up
I am in Texas. Calls and has a prerecorded sales pitch for extended warranty sales. I waded thru to a salesman, who hung up when I asked who the company was. I called the number back and got a message that the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. have been calling 5-6 times a week for 2 months and will not stop. I am on the DNC registry.
Received call on cell and didn't answer as the phone number appears to be an international # starting w/ 011. No one would be calling me from an international phone number.
They called again this is numerous times each time a different ft lauderdale number but when you call back its no longer in service and when i pushed 1 to ask how they got my name and number when i didnt even own a credit card they hung up on me they do that everytime hang up on me.. Would it do any good to contact ft lauderdale police?? this is getting down right annoying calling all hours of the day and night
Account Services - some credit card "opportunity"
Didn't answer - been getting weird calls all day, some saying UNKNOWN, some saying this number: +9547337981. Why does this crap still go on? Isn't this illegal?
Here's what you need to do if you get a call from this company. You need to call the Florida Division of Consumer Services at the Florida Attorney Generals Office at 850.488.2221 if you are calling from out of Florida. If calling from within Florida call 850.414.3390. They will send you a complaint form via email, assign you a complaint number and assigned you a complaint ID. From speaking with these people, they are violating at least three Federal and Florida State laws. 1. Calling DNC numbers. 2. Using a bogus Caller ID number. 3. Leaving automated messages on voice mails and answering machines, in addition to the scams listed on this website and others about requesting credit card information. You want them to stop, this is how you do it. I told ya Burt, I was gonna get cha.
got a short 2 rings and they hung up before i could pick up.
I talked to these people before and asked to be put on their Do-Not-Call list and they sent me to a computer prompt to enter my phone number via keypad. Remember its the 10 digit phone ### ### #### don't add the 1 at the beginning(doh!).
Also if you call their "Billing Concerns" number of 800-350-3046 you will get someone who refers to themselves as an "outside receptionist" and only take messages when in actuality they are call center agents. I called this number and the first time the little girlie girl hung up on me, the second time the girlie girl stated that she was going to get me her supervisor and promised me that she wouldn't put me on endless hold..... after 20 minutes.. guess what.. Im still on hold.....
This is their Toll Free "Watts" line also and if you call you will be on a never ending hold however, it costs them money if you use the line, and the phone call is free for you. Toll-Free: (877) 680-DEBT (3328)
This is the number of the person you need to call and let him know how you really enjoy getting Versa Debit Services telemarketing phone calls, scammer phone calls asking for your credit card number, being on the DNC list, and using a false Caller ID when they do call. Call him and tell him how you feel. I did. And every time they call me back, Im going to call him back.

Knowledge is Power-- Use it!
Just got a call from a clown at this number who, after mispronouncing my name, told me I was eligible for some sort of extended warranty on my car. I asked, "And to what car are you referring?" He said that the info was blocked from his view, but all he needed was my VIN number to look it up. I asked, "Well, how can you be certain that I'm eligible for anything having to do with a car that you can't even identify?" He said that he can tell it's a car that's older than 2005 and that if I'd just read him my VIN number, he can better assist me. I said, "Well, I don't exactly have this info memorized, but isn't this MY business?" He said, "Well, it's a matter of public record." I said, "A record which you are apparently unable to pull up." He said, "Well, it's public in that I can walk up to your car and read it." I said, "Okay, walk up to it. I'll hold." He then hung up on me.
It seems he wasn't willing to make the walk from Hollywood, FL which, according to the Caller ID, was where he was calling from. Being the sarcastic jerk that I am, I naturally called the number, ready for Round 2. Except that the Caller ID number is a disconnected one. I find it interesting how people just expect you to give up all kinds of personal information without being straightforward in their own right.
Caller ID states 954-733-7981 however when calling this number back, you will get a message that the number is no longer in service. Its from a bogus credit card company wanting you to refinance with them. We are on the DNC list, and we have no credit cards. If I EVER find out who these people are, bad things are going to happen to the owner, at 3am in the morning with continual phone calls to their residence.
Called and hung up.
This pre-recorded msg said "No problem with your credit card account but we can lower your interest rate" but when I got to a rep (to get the company name) I told the rep that the company name did not sound genuine, then the rep began cursing at me. I have no credit cards with this phone number listed -- prviate number that's not listed on anything, except under AT&T and with DoNotCall.gov. This was a bigus telemarketing call, apparently from Florida where most of my problems calls originate. The rep said his name was "Jason Smith". When I told him my number was listed with DoNotCall he said "so what". I think a letter to the Ft Lauderdale City Hall is in order. Any one else want to join me?
Just got a call from these bozos on my CELL. What a bunch of morons!
Call said it was Card Services, wanting to lower my interest rate on credit card, when I asked who they were looking for, the service rep hung up.... cannot call them back...
Just received ANOTHER call from these ( expletive deleted )s. Turned in ANOTHER complaint to the FCC at esupport.fcc.gov. Let's keep after them and maybe the FCC will do something about them!
they just called. don't know who they are. i did not answer. the caller ID displaying a city ( FT LAUDRDA, FL) and not a name or company name is highly suspicious.
Just received a call from this number, I did not answer and there was no message left on machine. I attempted to call the number back but received a recording saying the number was reached in error. I wrote a complaint on the Do Not Call Registry website and also sent a letter to my state's Governor.
Maybe of more of us complain to the powers that be, something might be done. Most government official have websites where you can write to them.
The recorded message said this was the last chance to reduce interest rate on my credit card. I pressed 1 to speak to a live person. I asked what credit card this call referred to and she hung up on me.
Spoke with *Kristina*. Asked who she was calling from and she said her company's name was "Financial Services". She wouldn't release the DBA name, the name of the company on her paycheck, but she was willing to talk and didn't hang up on me when I questoned her. I told her that I was on the National DNC list and she couldn't explain to me why I was called. I asked her to remove me from their data base. She said she needed me to give her my number, but when I gave her my area code, she admitted she already had my number. This was the 7th call from them in the last 2 months. In fact, this number called my home on Saturday the 8th of March(2 days ago) and played a message telling me my warrenty on my car was about to expire and to hang on the line to speak to a rep. My husband hung up but noted the number and date/time.The rep I spoke to, Kristina, told me that the National DNC list was a joke and that it didn't work. Obviously.
warranty is about to expire.I own a leased 2006 vehicle.
this is a scam
I have filed numerous complaints with the FTC and FCC and nothing get resolved thru those agencies. They just take the complaint and store it away.
some guy pick's up after i Pressed 1........ The man picks up and asked me what make and year is my car im useing .......
i asked him point blank Is this Progressive ..... Click He Hang's up ..... This Call Came in On My Cell Phone ....
(956) Is Now Blocked On My Phone --_-- ....
I just got the call as well and I live in North Carolina. I didn't answer but, when I called back it said it "the international number can not be dialed from this phone"? Has anyone else tried to call the number back? Very odd because it is the same number listed above.
I just received the recorded call from the 954-733-7981, and this one was saying they could extend the warranty on my car. To get more information about these sleezballs, I pressed "1" and was given to a person who told me an extended warranty for a 2004 Dodge Dakota (I don't even have one, but I needed to pick something), would be $2500 to make the warranty good up to 200,000 miles. I was able to get out of the person that he was from the "Winners Circle" and they "worked with all major auto manufacturers". I tried to lead him on by saying I was interested but needed to talk to my wife and would he have a number where I could call him back. He then promptly hung up.
For the life of me, I don't see how people actually give these people money. I mean they are calling you illegally, they will not provide company data, and when you ask for a call back number, they hang up.
When I answered the phone, no one spoke, but I could hear background noise. When I called the number back, I could still hear background noise, but then a lady's voice said the number had been disconnected or was no longer in use. "She" didn't sound like the normal opperator you would hear on a normal call though.
Thanks much Christine. Will file complaint.
The caller(recording) said that I was eligible for a reduced rate on my credit card account, but that my eligibility was expiring. If I wanted to take advantage stay on the line. When I got a service person, they started to ask questions about my credit and I asked them if they knew who I was ... they then hung up.
Called an machine stated that this was the last chance to save on my interest rates and to press 1 if I was interest.
I pressed 1 and asked who was calling. They hung up.
just called 3/8/08 at 1:30..didn't answer
Following up, I pressed "1" and phone was answered shortly by someone who is clearly reading from a script and also not the brightest guy. I asked for the name of the company and he said it was "Card Services." I asked what card he was calling about and he said my Mastercard. I said "Your recording says to consider this my final warning, but you keep calling. How can I speak to your superiors?" There was a long silence, except for background noise which sounded like a TV playing in the background. I then said "Hello?" "What was your question?", he asked. "How can I contact your superiors?" Then he hung up on me.
I'm in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have Caller ID and so didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. AT&T is located somewhere in Florida and I used to have a card with them so maybe it's AT&T.
automated call stating it was "Heather" from credit services, and that it had to do with my credit card, but never said which credit card company it was. Wanted to lower my interest rate.
Left no message...tired of this person calling all the time...I have reported it to the National Do Not Call List, but ever since I put our number on there we have been bombarded with calls
Now they are calling Canada!
I just got a call from this number at 11:09 a.m. on March 8, 2008. All that showed up on the caller id was Florida. Couldn't find any other information on this number. I'm in West Virginia
Call inquiring about my credit card...gave them no information. These crooks should be stopped.
the FCC has a website with a form where you can report them. The URL is: esupport.fcc.gov
They can't call you with a recording unless it is an emergency or unless it is something you authorized (like your kid's school or your church). Those auto dial things have to check the DNC list, too. It gives you the rules for the telemarketers on the FCC website. It is fairly straightforward. Here is the URL for that fcc.gov
Be sure and report all these calls like this that you get. We'll win this war eventually if we persevere!!!
sign me -- I can be just as evil as you are!!!
Just got a call from this number on my cell - didn't answer b/c I didn't know who it was. Didn't call it back for fear it is a scam.
MESSAGE ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE ABOUT LAST CHANCE TO LOWER MY CREDIT ACCOUNT INTEREST. HIT #1 TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE, AND #2 TO NOT RECEIVE ANY MORE CALLS
unknown caller, no msg. Called my cell in TN.
Sorry about the other intelius address. I tried clicking on it myself after I sent my comment and got a timed out (I was on the buy it screen). Here is the web address where you can put in the phone number and see what they say(about it being residential.)
intelius.com
Standard call from Heather at Account Services about lowering interest rate on credit cards. Also called on 01/23/2008 and 02/14/2008. Option #2 is a request to be removed from their calling list but they obivously ignore your requests. Complaint filed with FCC. Automated call is illegal since it does not clearly identify calling company nor does it include a valid callback number.
According to intelius this is a residential phone number. They do show the phone number comes from Fr Lauderdale which is what my caller ID showed. I was not at home when the call came in. No message left on answering machine. Intelius says the Name and address is available for the fee of $14.95 and they say no results no charge. (but I guess I am to cheap to pay the money or try it or it really isn't that important to me) I am also on the do not call list. I find companies hang up as soon as you say that you are on the do not call list and never say sorry or I didn't know that. Is anything ever really done about it when it is reported?
intelius.com
I got this call from 954-733-7981 on march 07 2008. Did not anwser because the caller ID said unavailable!
After posting my report I then realized there are other comments below. I went ahead and filed an online complaint with the FCC per the recommendation of "annoyed" (thanks for the link). Really ticks me off that people can get away with this type of scam.
These people call me every other week and won't stop. I now have to find some sort of legal recourse to prevent them from calling my home
You can file an FCC complaint for this, the form is pretty short. fcc.gov
Received a call from this number and a message looking for my sister. I know she has financial problems so I think it could be a collection agency.
WHO SHOULD THIS BE REPORTED TO? My experience was similar to everyone else's. This # called me with an auto recording about my auto insurance about to expire. I followed the instructions to speak to a live person so I could tell them to remove me from their list. The live person immediately asked "year make & model of your vehicle?" And I responded, "I'm not sure what this is, is this a marketing call?" and he immediately hung up. I called back right away, and the number is "out of service."
Have you tried to call them back? The number is DISCONNECTED!!!!! How do they make a disconnected phone number show up in caller ID???? They keep calling and waking up my kids. I swear if I knew who they were I'd hunt them down and.....
Called, and I pressed 1 to speak with a customer service agent. Asked for the company's name and address and was cursed at. Filed FCC Complaint.
Isn't there some way we can keep these people from calling us. I do not have call block on our cable phone service.
they are now calling cell phones in Hixson, Tn
Some ole, same ole, lower interest rate on credit card, etc. I pressed 2 to get off the list... yeah, right, like they won't call me again. Called back, yep, it's been disconnected, surprise suprise.I've reported this to the "Do Not Call" but have no idea what they will do about it, if anything. How do they get away with this?
i am going to start saving all my junk mail and sending it to those addresses listed in one of the posts.
i missed them because i wasn't home but from reading the posts, it sounds like a lot of recorded calls i get about "my current credit card" and how they want to offer a special.... i hang up at that point...lol these calls bug me but not nearly as much as the unknown caller calls from debt collection people looking for my husband's ex-wife who moved out in august 1999 and neither of our home lines was a number here when she lived here.
I was able to contact them at the 678-238-1307 number listed below. It gave me an auto-attendant, and pressing 9 gave me a dial-by-name function. Oddly, dialing got me people whose names weren't spelled like I'd typed in...
File a complaint here:
esupport.fcc.gov
Luckily I couldn't pick up the phone when they called. No voice mail left. So I decided to google it. It is good to find out what the company about.
said car warrinty was all most up if i need too get warranty press#1
this call came into my cell phone. said they could lower my interest rate. i never give out my cell phone #. i tried calling back and says the # has been disconnected. This is so rude

Here is the Versa Debt website with additional contact info:
versadebt.com
Maybe we can all flood their switchboard!
They called at about 1:30 PM MST. The phone rang three times, answering machine didn't even pick up.
I did a little online research and it looks like this number is one of the many spoofed numbers that a scam credit card company is using. The company appears to be Versa Debt and is now known as Personal Debt Solutions, based in Marrieta, GA (even though this number appears to be from Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
Here are some posts from another website that I read, from former employees:
-----------------
The name of the company is versa debt, debt safe, account services, warranty, now called PDS (personal debt solutions) the address is 4501 circle 75 pkwy #a 1225 atalnta ga 30339 The phone number is 678.569.0621 and managers name is brittany dunphy (she has a yahoo account and that is how they communicate) If you add her to your yahoo messanger you may get messages from her from time to time) the human resources manager is lasheena calloway 678-238-1307.
---------------------------
Someone also did a phone number search and came up with this:
Reverse Search By Phone (people and businesses):
'954-733-7981'
1 match found
Email this listing to a friend
BRILHANTE, JOHN954-733-7981
Ft Lauderdale, FL 33301
Sources: Infospace/Direct
The company is appearantly called "versa debt". See more info about them at 800notes.com. They use forged caller IDs.
-----------------
I have been hit by this company a number of times on my unlisted, businessline and have filed a couple complaints with the FCC.
If we all file complaints with the FCC, maybe we can put them out of business!!
Hangs up after saying hello
Recorded message - about lowering interest rates...Very annoying...
Colorado 12:03 pm 3/07/2008
I didn't answer, but I do keep getting those calls from Heather in account services. They claim if you push 9 they will remove you from their lists. I'm in California. They are in Ft. Lauderdale, FL according to the caller id.
Next time you get a call like this...try to talk to a live agent and play along. Act interested in what they have to say, but also express that you need to know the agent's name, the company's name and a phone number where you could call back. If possible, also get the company's address.
Once you've gotten that info, you can let the agent know that you're on the Do Not Call Registry and that agent has just cost his/her company a $10,000 fine since you're about to log a complaint with the Attorney General's office of both the US and the state you live in. It's very simple and quick to file a complaint online through the Attorney General's office...if enough people file complaints, we just might do some damage to these scam artists.
I'm in Calif and just got a call from this number about my credit card interest. I pressed one to tell them to remove me from their call list but sat on hold for 7mins before I got fed-up. When you call back 'this phone is no longer in service'.
I'm fed up with this kind of stuff and will file with the Do Not Call. Not that THAT will do any good!
If I could block them I would!
Somehow they have gotten My cell#???When I answered it was a recording saying; Your waranty has expired,we have tried to reach You several times by mail.(NOT) press 1 to speak to a customer service agent, press 2 to disconnect. Now,Being that I just Bought a new "08" vehicle, they caught Me offgaurd. And I pressed 1.A man came on and said this is Wayne, can I have the make and model of Your car.I said; Sir,being that I just bought a brand new car I'm confussed. What car in question are You talking about. HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I am in Dallas. Caller ID reads, +9547337981 I have a friend that lives in MIA, That is her Area code.?????
Another call from Heather. Heather has called me from lots of different numbers, even some that appear to be coming from the UK!
This is one of several calls I recieved from these people. They want to lower my interest rate, but I never carry a balance and told them so. I am also on the do not call list, and asked them to quit calling me, and they hung up. ARG.agrivating.
Spam call on cell phone "auto warranty"
Got a call from these trash callers. I did not picked up the phone. Will block the phone number so I will not get more of their calls.
Notice To All: It is a violation of federal law for a company to place a pre-recorded telephone call to a residence unless the resident has given permission to do so. This is a violation of the US Code, as prescribed by the Telecommunications Consumer Protection Act of 1991. Those of us who live in Nevada have virtually no legal entities to assist the consumer in seeking legal help to stop this violation of the law. This problem has been pointed out repeatedly to the Sen Harry Reid D-NV, Sen John Ensign, R-NV, and Congressman Dean Heller, R-NV, and they have done nothing. When those officials are apprised of the fact that a law that is not enforced is entirely worthless, they do not even bother to respond; apparently they can't be bothered. That begs the question, what good is a law that is not enforced? Senators and Congressmen, you tell me! I urge those of you in other states where you have some protection from illegal telemarketing calls to advise the Attorney General in your state to enforce the law.
Claimed to be able to lower interest rates... hit 1 to continue to speak with an operator, 2 to disconnect. They left a voicemail with a pleasant sounding woman's voice.
"Call from "Heather" at account services. There is nothing wrong with your credit card. This is your final notice to reduce your credit card rate." When you press 1 to talk to a rep. and tell them you are not interested in their offer, you just want for them to stop calling you, they hang up before you can finish your sentence. And, if you press 9 (I think) to be removed from their list... they don't, they still call. In the last month, I must have had at least 5 calls from them. Before though, it was a different phone number. The number was 442074860317. Looked it up online and there was no record of a similar number
This company calls businesses with a recording that states that you need to talk to them about your credit card terminal. I have spoken to them and asked to be removed from their list and that they appear to be breaking the law by pretending to be MY PROCESSOR. If you call their number, it goes to an answering machine made to sound like a recording from the telephone company, but you can hear a man talking in the background. If I knew who they were, I would report them to the Attorney General.
Received call at 12:24 PM. Did not answer, no message left.
Automated recording about my car's extended warranty. My car is less than three years old and my warranty with the manufacture is good for another three years, yet it says it's about to run out. Idiots.
This company is unbelievable. They keep calling me, and when it prompted me to connect to an operator, I let her know I was on the Colorado and National no-call lists and I need them to stop calling me. At that point without further response from her, she hung up on me.
Recorded female voice says, "Hi; this is Heather from Credit Card Services. There certainly isn't a problem with your account......" I didn't let the message continue; I hung up. Calling the number back gets me a response that the number has been disconnected.
Calls and hangs up. I'm in Arkansas and this is a Florida call.
called and hung up. Im in va.
Called by an automated caller. I have been called by this organization before. I pressed 1 to speack to a live person. The guy answered and asked for my name. I told "You are going to take my name off your list" he said "I am not doing anything punk." I have no Idea what they do, the message talks about lowering an intereste rate, but that doesn't really apply to me right now.
I received a call from this number, but I didn't pick up the phone since I didn't recognize it. They didn't leave a message. I called the number back 5 minutes later and got the "this number is not in service" recording. 3/7/08 11:04AM
Automated message...this is Heather from account services calling about your credit cards. There is no problems, but it is urgent that you contact us to lower your interest rates. Press 1 to speak with someone or press 2 to stop receiving these reminders. Got the same phone call yesterday, but there wasn't a phone number and I pressed 2. Obviously, that option doesn't work, because I get another call this morning, this time with this phone number. I guess they just call from different numbers each time you press 2. I am on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST!!! It seems these kind of places think the laws/rules don't apply to them!
called my cell in nj - was an automated message about car insurance quotes...
A recorded voice says they are calling about your credit card bill which is in good standing. This is your last opportunity to speak with one of our operators from "something like Mastercard" about reducing your credit card interest rate. I pressed one and spoke with the operator. He told his name and asked for mine. Then he asked me how much credit card debt I had on all my cards. I said before I tell you that tell me who you are. He hung up.
I got a call from 954-733-7981 5 minutes ago! 10:35AM, March 8, 2008. I am in Michigan. I didn't answer. I think they have called before, but I didn't have caller ID then. It is a telemarketing firm that I am going to put on my Block list now.
This is the first call from "Card Services" I have seen with a number showing on the caller id. If someone could just play along, claiming a large outstanding card balance, and get some real id in them they could be shut down for violating Do Not Call. I just blow my piercing dog whistle into the phone when a live person answers (after pressing 1).
Got a call from this number. Caller ID says "Unavailable" for the name. I picked it up.
It's that damned "Account Services" scam. A recorded message says "This is Heather from account services. We're calling about your current credit card accounts....Press 1 to talk to a live operator to lower your interest rates." So, I pressed 1 and a cheerful voice asks "Did you press 1 to lower your interest rates?" I said "No, I pressed 1 to find out your name and address." They immediately hung up.
