How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

My husband had a missed call from this number, so he called back to see who it was. Like others he got a message saying the line was disconnected. We got our cell phone bill in the mail and there was a $4 charge for it!!! If you called this number back make sure to check your phone bills. My carrier took the charge off my bill after I told them it was a fraudulent call, you should do the same.
CALLS ARE COMING IN EVERY DAY FOR QUITE AWHILE, TIME PERIODS BETWEEN 10AM AND
3:30PM SAME WITH ALL NO MESSAGE, BUT THE CALLS ARE FROM THREE NUMBERS SO FAR,
TWO FROM FLORIDA . (1) FT. LAUDERDALE-(954) 535-9912 . (2) ORLANDO - (407) 207-0820 .
THE THIRD WAS FROM THE U.K. ? WHEN YOU DO A REVERSE CALL IT GIVES YOU THE
INFORMATION THAT THEY ARE IN THE SAME BELL SYSTEM,THEY ARE UNPUBLISHED, AND THEIR
VIRTUAL LOCATION, CROSS STREETS . WHEN YOU GOOGLE THE NUMBERS, YOU SEE ALL THE
COMPLAINTS FROM OTHERS RECEIVING THEM ON THE DAY POSTED, SOME HAVE SAID THEY SPOKE WITH SOME ONE AND IT WAS ABOUT CREDIT CARDS, OTHERS CAR WARRANTIES . Quite a few say
their numbers are listed with "DO NOT CALL.GOV", DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF THIS IS A LEGITIMATE WEB.SITE ? i HAVE PUT MY COMPLAINT IN TO THEM AND THE F.C.C,RESULTS
MORE CALLS THAN EVER HAD BEFORE ?? How about this site, where I'M POSTING NOW
IS THIS GOOD OR EVIL ??
This number belongs to "Clear Breeze Solutions" located in Atlanta, GA. They are apparently selling a credit mananger software program for $700 to $900.
I did not answer, they left no message
I rec'd a call from them at 8pm. I followed instruction and a lady answered. Iahve no credit cards but they said i did. The Lady(I use that term loosely) told me to not punch one to get on her line if I didn't want to talk to them. She was extremely rude. I said, "Ma'am, you called me!" . She said "I don't even know you". She hung up and I never got achance to even know who called me. I will follolow up to have my name/nubmer removed from their list. BTW, she called on my cell phone.
TRoy
Yet another call from this number. This time it was an extended warranty thing. They claimed the company name was "Activation Processing Center". Hung up on me yet again.
"Heather" called me again last night! I pressed "1" in order to tell somebody off, as they had woken me up after I went to bed early (I get up at 4:00 a.m. every day). A guy came on and asked if I wanted to lower my credit card rates. I said no, I want you to stop f**king calling me! He immediately hung up.
Here is one solution, people: buy a loud lifeguard whistle. When they call, press "1." Play along with them, but give NO real info, not your real name or address and certainly not your real cc numbers or SS number. Speak softly, so they have to turn up their volume. At some point (probably sooner rather than later, because they are in the habit of hanging up on people), blow the whistle LOUDLY into the phone. If everybody would just do this, they would come to associate their calls with pain, like well-trained dogs, and would stop. These people are PIGS. NOBODY--not any of the phone companies, and certainly not this disinterested republican government, which doesn't know the meaning of "public service"--is going to do ANYTHING about them. As long as the phone company is being paid, they don't care. It is up to us!
they called me last night at 8.55 pm. i didnt answer but idid call back this morning. the disconnected message is a fake message, you can hear people in the background talking. they are scammers! dont give them any info...they evidently say they are trying to help you lower your credit card debt or help you extend your car warranty. i myself am trying to find out what to do about this.
Managed to waste about 20 minutes of their time today in two different calls.
A couple different people said that they were in Marietta, GA, and that their company name was variously "Account Services", "Card Services", and "Financial Services". One rep tried very hard to suggest they were from a major credit card company without ever quite saying so. The initial recording also gives that impression.
They were very well trained in not giving out any actual information about who they are. No address, no phone, no real company name. They're total scammers and talented liars, although I'm not sure if their scam is identity theft or just reselling personal details to credit card brokers. The front-line people I've talked to have all been women, but the shift boss was a guy.
I let them know they were violating federal law, and they instantly denied ever hearing of such a thing. :-)
was gone. left no message
Asked to speak to a manager as I had requested they place me on their do not call list 6 weeks ago. They hung up without a word.
repeated calls from this number today no message no nothing
I received a call from this number. I called it back and got a recording saying that the number had been disconnected. Interesting? My number is listed on the Do Not call list.
Fouond this while researching this TN
This number 954-692-0958 is amount alot of different number that I get calls from regarding an extended wattanty that they want to sell me. I have pressed 2 on my phone and a recording messages states that my number will be removed from thier database. But they keep calling. I am also on the do not call registry. Well, Now I talked with the rep and got their company information. Please share and repost this info so that every can call the toll free number and bug the hell out of them. ENJOY!!

phone: 866-713-1203

Screw them all......
This is a scam offering car warranties. Don't fall for it. Everyone should start reporting this TN to Bell South. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will do something. They can be emailed at info@connectbellsouth.com
Wow I don't believe it! I was soooo sure when I pressed 2 yesterday asking to be removed from their list they would NEVER call me again, and yet sadly, here i am. I think next time I will press 1 for a rep and get som company info and file a claim as I am on the DNC have been, always will be
I have been receiving this call for about 2 months now. The voice says that it is calling from my 'credit card company' but never identifies the card company. I don't know why they are calling me. I just hang up. I am tired of scams.
same recorded message from "heather" saying that if i wanted to reduce my interest rate press 1. i have had this call many many times from different numbers everytime i asked to to take me off their list they either hang up on me, tell me to F*!^ myself or that I should have asked more nicely. this time "Angel" came on after a moment & when I asked her for a number to call her back on so i didn't burn my airtime she gave me 800 847 2911, when i asked for an address she hung up. i filed a complaint w/ mystate atty general
I got a call from this number and the recording and I made sweet sweet love
Let answering machine pick up - recorded message was already in progress - something about extended warranty - I hung up on them - Previous calls from this area code came back to a private residence. I suspect these calls are being made by "home businesses" solicited to do this crap-calling, in violation of the DNC list.
When the "live operator" came on the phone I said, "East Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida, right?" She didn't know what to say. 954-535-9912 is another phony number courtesy of Leverage My Debt out of Orlando, Fl. Someone posted their real number (866-513-2103) under another fake number they use (850-475-5122), and I used that info to track them down using Google. Found them in SuperPages, and also found a Craig's list ad they posted in Orlando.

Do a Google search on this number (850-475-5122) to see their Craig's List ad, and to see how to file a complaint with the FTC. Filing complaints with donotcall.gov doesn't work for fake numbers. More people need to contact the FTC to stop these guys, they've had free reign for far too long.
Got the Ft Lauderdale # CC fraud; maybe they will call back...When I have time I love to lead these Idiots on!!!
I received a call from 954-535-9912. A guy claiming to be able to extend my car warranty. The offer was a 5-year/125,000 mile, bumper to bumper warranty for just $27.00. Too funny. You'd think they would at least make the scam believable. Not too smart these days I guess.
recorded messages stating I could lower my credit card interest. Hung up after heard that part
I got this call and the recording said that they have made many attempts to contact me about my auto warranty and how it has expired. I stayed on the phone to tell them to take me off of the list, once he answered he asked for my make and model, I said "When I bought my truck it had no warranty and I have not purchased a warranty, please take me off of your list!" His response, "I can't do that." and hung up on me... Called back, # disconnected...
9545359912 - ft lauderdale, fl..wtf?
A guy named Curtis said our car warranty is about to run out. Sounds of children in background.
This is definitely a scam and AT&T actually will not do anything about them until they do not pay their bill. Maybe someone should let SBC know about them?
I missed a call on my cell phone (registered on the DO NOT CALL list) from this # and called back only to be told all of the circuits to the foreign country were busy! Is it truly Ft.Lauderdale and if so, do they have a forwarding mechanism to one of the high-priced scam #'s????
the same as the rest why can't the phone company start cracking down on these people, i have an old not even running vehicle & get calls saying my car warrenty is expiring on a regular basis, how many little old ladies & good people will they scam on a regular basis before the fcc or whoever has the power to do so busts their asses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I continue to get the same call but from different numbers. When you answer the recording says "This is _____ calling from account services about your credit card account. There is not a problem with your account but it is urgent that you contact us about lowering your interest rate." If you press one you are connected to a telemarketer that doesn't know if you have a credit card or not. If you get them talking they will tell you that they don't work for a card company. What they want you to do is give them your CC number, your social security number and then they will contact your card company and askf ro a better rate. The sorry thing is I bet people ffall for it all the time. What a SCAM ! (The said the name of the company was Financial Services, Inc. in Marietta, GA)
Just had this same number call me and it turns out I have won a free cruise! After having some fun with the caller, "Dave" became quite upset and asked me to "quit breaking his chops" and then hung up. I guess it's Jersey again.
Automated call from "Account Services" to lower CC interest
This number called and it's connected to 303-280-8689. I read about how they 'verify' your physical address through their calls and may make money off each of their calls you answer.
I received two calls today within a half an hour. I pressed "1" to speak to an operator on the first, told her this was at least the thrid time I had asked to be taken off their list. Then received the second call....did the same and more calmly and politely asked how to be taken off the list and was met with silence. They had hung up on me.
I just answered this call, and got nothing. As I was hanging up I heard a voice. THinking maybe one of my daughter's friends was calling her on Spring Break, I wandered on to this website. I've reported them at: donotcall.gov I've registered at that site for a reason...SCUMBALLS!
Fake Credit card company
They said they could lower interest rates. When I pressed 1 to speak to an operator, it was a woman ? Martinez. She asked to verify my name and phone number. As soon as I did so, she began laughing and talking with someone in the background. She said to the other person, "It was a verify." Then she hung up. When I called the number back, it was a recording that it was disconnected. (It sounded fake as well, because you could hear people talking in the background again.)
This is a phishing scam which uses the lure of lower interest rates for your credit card as a way to get the numbers off the front and back of your credit cards.
k, I pressed 1 to talk about "lowering my interest rate." A guy then was on the line and asked "Did you want to lower your interest rate." I said, "No, I want to know who is calling." He hung up. Scam!!!!
they gonna die if they call me gain
I got a voicemail from this number. It was a recorded man's voice saying they can lower my credit card's interest rate by "pressing 1 now" or get removed from the list by pressing "2". When I called the number back got a recording that it had been disconnected.
they left tried to leave a message saying my automobile warranty was going to expire ...they never had a chance to do so ...SCAMMERS
Been getting this call for months. Finally pressed one to talk with a human. First part of message is garbled so unable to hear what company. When I told the guy this, he was gone. i now think they intentionally slur the first part of the message.
Several calls this week
Smells like phising for credit card info - my "final warning" to lower my credit card interest rate, "press 1 now" to speak to a live operator.
Last night talked with a guy, I got his name but I am going to leave that out incase they watch this site, that had only been there for a short time. He is the one that spoke with me the longest. I tried to convince him to give me the info and he kept waffling. I am to the conclusion that this is a telemarketing company that keeps the "callers" in the dark about who they are.
I asked him whose name will be on the top of his paycheck. I did get a city where he is at, Atlanta, GA. I kept pressign him to quit working there because it is a scam and he really needs to consider who will get busted for these scams. I just wish he would have given me the phone number to the next line.
Ken M
Financial Services.
I asked him why should I trust him with all the data that would make it easy to defraud me
I called the AT&T Annoyance Call Beaureu, and they don't do anything, sorry. You have a choice of reporting bomb or life threats or otherwise it'll say to sign up for the Do Not Call Registry. Selecting "Harassing and threatening calls" says to report it to the police and open a report number. You can't do that for a spam call, so you're stuck with no alternatives, as I've been reporting them to the Do Not Call Registry for many months, which I've been signed up for a number of years (and again several months ago). Face it, there's nothing you can do short of putting a bullet in their fucking head.
Sounded like a phishing scheme. Wanted to know my interested rate and balance on a particular credit card.
I get calls all of the time from them, claiming to be "Heather from 'account services'".
I get calls from them all of the time! "Heather from 'account services'".
Do not answer this call. These people are trying to steal your credit card information.
Fortunately, I google any number that I don't know if it is not local. My understanding is that this is a scam of some sort? Anyway, I won't be returning their calls...
I have gotten several calls from these people. They either (1) pitch the credit card thing; or (2) say that your warranty on your car is about to expire. I don't have a cc or car. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.
I have gotten multiple calls from this number. I've pressed 2 to have the calls stop. I have started pressing 1 now, but they will not tell me who they are or their own number. This number that is showing up on caller id is disconnected. Who are they????
they keep calling me after i told them to remove me and then i finally got ahold of live person and she hung up on me
I just filed my complaint at donotcall.gov. Let's all give these people a call..... "A Wake Up Call"
You have reached an invalid pager number-ST2 Stockton.
We have a Stockton in California-I wonder if there is a stockton in FL?
Received this message about lowering interest rates on a credit card-I pressed option 2 to disconnect. When I called the number back-there was a fake message about the number being disconnected.
has to be a scam. i am on the do not call list also...jerks..need to find a real job
they left a voicemail message on my cell phone saying my automobile warranty had expired or will shortly- to renew press 1, to disconnect press 2. I have no auto warranty to expire...
This is the second time I got a call from them. Seeing as I'm on the DNC list, I told them that before being so rudely hung up on. I've already reported this company and nothing's happened. Where do I go from here?
We have been on Do Not Call for years. Received automated call the other week. Didn't do anything then.
This time, again a computer prompts something like "This is Heather from Account Services with a final notice to lower the interest rate on my credit card. No problem with your card, but ..." Press 1 to connect to live agent. Press 2 to discontinue further notices.
Second call I receive from them. This time I opted to speak with somebody. Tried to quiz them a bit. The lady denied working for MC or Visa. All she said was that the name of the company she worked for is "Account Services". She said she got my number through the credit reporting agencies and that as a Mastercard and Visa account holder in good standing; they can help lower my interest rates on my card, by working on my behalf towards Mastercard & Visa.
When I declined the offer and asked to be removed from their database (about the 2nd minute into the conversation) the female operator hung up on me before I could finish my sentence.
I hope these scam artists who try to get you to reveal your cc information and ssn, while ignoring the Do Not Call registry; get shut down and prosecuted by the FTC and whichever other organization that can handle these things.
I've tried several times to get in touch with AT&T and they simply don't care. If there is anybody there who does, nobody knows to get in touch with that person. They basically 'won't take my word for it' and that I have to call my own phone company to make a formal complaint. (which I did and hopefully a few others did too)
Again, if you are with AT&T you can call 1-800-348-8727 to complain about the fellow AT&T subscriber that is making these calls.
Doesn't leave message, has called 2x
Unnamed
Just missed a call from this number. Called it back, and got the fake-sounding, "This number is not in service" message.
HEY, if any of ya'll are on AT&T's network call the AT&T Annoyance Call Beaureu: 800-348-8727
If you are not, they won't care and they won't do anything about it. So AT&T customers, call and complain about fellow AT&T caller.
I got a recorded call identifying the company as "Credit Card Services" from this number. I pressed one to talk to someone. "John" from "Consumer Services" came on. I asked the real name of the company. He said "Consumer Services". I said, "and what's your phone number?". [click] he hung up that fast.
I've been on the Do Not Call Registry since it's inception several years ago. It worked pretty well for the first few years. The last couple of years, the level of solicitations has been steadily creeping up again. I guess they realize that they have nothing to fear from breaking the law. Corporate and political criminals are protected by this administration. But don't you dare steal a loaf of bread to feed your family.
'whowants to know' & 'John' are right. I decided to call back just a minute ago and its a recording of a recording. YOU DO HEAR VOICES before the tones and recorded message. This is definitely a scam.
They are calling to try and lower your interest rate on your credit card... Not an international call... The are violating my rights especially since I have signed up for the do not call registry.
this seemed to some sort of scam. without saying which credit card account they were, they just said that my opportunity to reduce my rate would expire shortly. if i wanted to clinch a lower rate to press '1'. someone was telling me about a similar scam the other day, which told 'em to press '2'. they do not identify the card they are supposedly representing.
I got the same message too and asked questions until the hung up on me. They told me the name of the company was United. The number (888-382-1222) they gave me was actually the do not call registry # I found out by doing a reverse look up-how bold!
That's not a real message from the phone company, it's a locally generated message to make you think the number is no good.
This is the second time I received a call from them, only this time I pressed 1 to speak to a live operator. I pulled up the website for the National Do Not Call Registry and selected "file a complaint". The telemarketer got on the line, I asked for the phone number and company name, and she promptly hung up. I filed the complaint using the phone number we all got on caller ID.
I think this company is trying to avoid the consequences of the "Do not call" list. The company appears to be using the number as a mask for their outbound dialer. The message we hear when we call it is just a message that they put their to throw people off. I think filing numerous complaints with the Do Not Call Registry will raise a flag with them.
donotcall.gov
After three calls which I told them not to call again, I received another call. I was informed I was talking to Melanie. Insisting on a last name I was told it was "Jones", which I doubt. The alleged company name is Financial Services, which also sounds doubtful.
they have called before, they never ask for anybody specific, they never give a company name, the computer gives a general speech about credit card interest and when attempting to reach a representative, the computer hangs up on you, when calling the number back it says the number is disconnected
Caller id showed "Campbell, E" with this phone number. I didn't answer and they left no message on the machine. My brother said yesterday someone called him and said something about "no problem with your credit card but we'd like to talk to you"...he hung up. He doesn't have any credit cards. Sounds like the same caller others have reported.
I just went to this site: donotcall.gov and filed a complaint. You can do this if you have been on the Do Not Call Registry list for as short a time as 31 days. I have been on it for several years. I only entered the approximate time and exact date of the calls (I reported that other weird number, too: 442074980741) and was able to send the report. In the space where they asked for the company name, I simply entered "Caller ID showed - FT LAUDERDA FL". Maybe if a bunch of us who are on the Do No Call list file complaints, these calls will actually stop. Is anyone else with me on this one? ;-)
Rec'd a recorded call 3-6-08 from 954-535-9912 and waited to talk to a person who identified themselves as Card Services, then later on as Financial Services. They claim to be able to lower interest rates on debt and somehow make their money from lenders through negotiation with lenders. I had to ask several times what they did and how they made their money. They all regurgitated the same thing over and over. I was eventually transferred to the "floor manager"(the third person) who was rude, very controlling(butted in constantly and ignored me). When asked for his name, the legal name of his business and location, he said I did not need to kwow all that information and hung up. These people appear to be crooks, because of their behavior and their explanation of how they make money. What creditor in their right mind would pay a 3rd party to negotiate a debt(reduced int. rate) owed to that creditor, unless the creditor so feared losing their client/customer that they agreed to pay this 3rd party to reduce their debt and/or int. rate on condition that the customer remain as a customer of the creditor. Sounds far fetched to me, and too good to be true. My conclusion? These people are crooks based on their very rude behavior and unreasonable explanation. As usual like any crooks, they are looking for the easy pickings. My guess? They could be in an ID theft business.
I HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROM NUMBERS LIKE THIS FOR ABOUT A MONTH. ITS JUST SOME PEOPLE TRYING TO GET INFO. THIS TIME THEY WANTED MY CREDIT CARD INFO AND I DONT EVEN OWEN A CREDIT CARD. WHAT THE HELL. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!!
I also returned the call to the number listed and got a number no longer in service message. Very strange this number called twice in a matter of 30 seconds.
I picked up the phone and it was a recording, Heather and she gave me a pitch about lower credit card rates. I pressed one to speak with a live operator and after a short wait I got a female who ID'd herself as Jerry. She asked me what the average credit card rate was and I told her about 20% and she asked if I would like to lower my rate to about 10%. I told her I had an outstanding balance of $20,000 on my credit cards and I was paying about 20% interest. I played along and she asked for the last for digits of my SSN and then she asked for my credit card expiration and then the credit card number. I gave her a phony SSN and a phone expiry, but I told her to hold on while I called the bank on another line to see if it was okay to give her my CC number. I put her on hold and waited a few minutes then I got back to her and told her the bank had me on hold and she continued to hold for a few minutes and then hung up. I can't believe they try to scam credit cards like this. She even told me that the credit card company will not hold me responsible for any credit card fraud. I am on the state and federal no call registry too. I hate these people they all belong in prison.
An identity theft ring is using this number to hide behind. They are calling to "lower your interest rate on your current VIsa, MC or American Express card." If you ask them any questions they hang up on you. They have called me three times.
I just received a call from this number also. When i picked up and said hello, they hung up...
Rude and Dishonest Scammer
I received a call from this number, but didn't get to the phone in time. I immediately called it back and got a recording saying that the number had been disconnected. I don't think the recording was legitimate...I could here voices in the background when it first comes on.
A digital call about supposedly helping with a bad credit card. Nothing on caller I.D. so I dialed star 69, which gave me the number. When called back, the line was supposedly not a working number. The phone company is either easy to fool, or doesn't want to fool around with helping us.
Does anyone know how to block this number from calling my cell? I just got a call from them on my cell and I am on the do not call list. If anyone can help, please let me know.
This has been going on for years. I too am on the do not call list, yet continue to get calls from these people about lowering interest rates on my cr cards. Every time I select to remove me from the list (they have this option on their recording), but it is baloney - never works. I have clicked 1 to talk to a person and when I inquired about who they were, etc. they hung on on me.
I cannot believe there is no way to trace these people and put an end to this fraud!
If anyone finds out who these people are, please post it here so someone can report them for violating the "Do not call" law (I'm on the list and should never receive calls of this type). I tried asking the person who they work for and the address of their employer, but the response was *click*, so they probably already know they are violating that law. I received several very similar calls from some numbers like this one: 442074980741, and also tried to find out who they were working for with the same result: they hung up very quickly.
Says "account services" calling about your credit card account.
Called and didn't leave message.
I got a call from this number in regards to my credit card stating that there was nothing wrong with my credit but that they had a way that I could reduce my APR.
I don't have a credit card.
So this is probably a scam. At the very least its spam and they may be trying to sell something.
Got a call from this number on my cell phone, didn't answer it becase it was unknown a phonenumber to me. Looked number up on yellowpages.com and yellowbook.com, no listings, just said that it was a land line in Ft. Lauderdale FL, with South Central Bell Company.
Hey I am pretty popular on here. Another Corporate Fraud by the HitlerBushJohnMcCracker regime. Warranty Services automatic dialer. Wants to extend my warranty on my car. TCPA violation. The FCC does not care. Our country has been renamed to CORPmerica. These scams always are from Florida the state Bush cheated in. I wonder if Jeb Bush has stake in the company. I want to find out where these bastards are so I can sue the shit out of them.
Just got a call from the same number. Didn't pick up.
This recorded call presented some garbage about, "Lowering my interest rate..." I attempted, twice, to call the number back. Both calls were met with a recording indicating the number called is not in service. GD thieves!
I got a call from this number on my land line, I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number on caller ID, I called it back using my cell phone, got a recording that it had been disconnected. This is a Ft. Lauderdale Florida number.
Just received a call from this number to my cell phone. I answered. It was a recorded women's voice saying they can lower my credit card's interest rate by "pressing 1 now".
What the hell?
They called my cell phone which is wierd too
I got a call from this number and called right back, got a recording that it had been disconnected, very strange, 03/06/08
I just got the same call. How is it that they called me and I don't even own a credit card? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm.
I received a call from this number, but didn't get to the phone in time. I immediately called it back and got a recording saying that the number had been disconnected. How can that be when I just got a call from it?
