Report a phone call from 9496140045
How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

who is bragging about sleeping with an apparent married man? you called the wrong person girl and who is 2020 godsyear?
These jerks are always calling and leaving their partial message on our voicemail. What's frustrating is we can't tell who the company is. They start talking as soon as the voicemail greeting picks up.
carpet cleaning company phone no. 310-734-0000
I pressed 1 and when a female picked up I told them my number was on the "Do not call list" and that I didn't appreciate the call. They just hung up straight away.
Join me in complaining to the FCC and demanding action for the high taxes we pay. They are not only violating the Do Not Call law but are also calling cell phones.
Didn't recognize it, so didn't answer it - but a Google search strongly suggests this is a carpet cleaning scam. Odd that the number seems to be based in southern California - but I'm in the San Francisco area.
Called on my cell phone. No message left.
Same. recorded message, press 1 to set up an appointment, told the b**ch to remove my number and got hung up on. reported to ftc. carpet hound carpet cleaners 949-614-0045 12:30pm 12-14-2007
Make sure and report them every time they call! Let's get these jerks to leave us alone!

Called the real Dave's Carpet Cleaning in Orange County. They reported that this is a marketing research firm and that they have investigators looking into the situation. The Dave's Carpet Cleaning representative also said that if you try to disconnect or be removed from the phone call list (by pressing '0' - though I did not get this prompt), the person will hang up on you before you can do anything. My number is on DoNotCall.gov... what happened!?
These bastards call me every single week on all three of my unlisted, do not call phone numbers. If you speak to an operator they HANG UP. This is completely illegal.
What up with that - they keep calling my cellphone! How did they get my mobile number. Plus, I was in the Denver airport running for a plane. I stopped to answer my phone from a carpet cleaning service!
Is it only the west coast? or is it national?
Received the same as everyone elsw. What they are doing is "masking" their phone number to make it look like it is coming from that number. IT IS NOT THEIR REAL NUMBER. If it was, they would have been caught a long time ago. They are trying to get information from you to identity theft, steal credit card numbers, your address. Don't give them any info!
I get the same so-called carpet cleaning company calling me as well and when I press 1 to "make an appointment" as soon as I ask the girl how the hell they got my cell phone number, she hangs up.
Got a call for carpet cleaning and hung up right away.
I had just stupidly signed up for (and have since tried to cancel) over-priced magazines, and I'd given the company my phone number (don't know if it's related).
How did they find my cell phone number?? I also don't get how these scammers work? How do they use a non existant phone number?
Got a call from the Carpet Cleaning service, could have been Dave's carpet cleaning.
SCAM! SCAM! DO NOT CALL LIST, HELP??? THEY CALLED ME TWO WEEKS AGO.
don't trust them.
They called both my husband's and my cell phone today. It is illegal to do call marketing (if that is even what it is) to cell phones because of the costs involved to the mobile owner. Please go to fcc.gov and file a complaint. Also file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry if your mobile phone is listed with them donotcall.gov.
Don't know who this is but I hate unknown numbers. It creeps me out!
When I called the number back it came as a disconnected Verizon number. I am a Verizon customer so I called them directly. They don't know who the nmber belongs to, but an investigation has been started.
To the douche who called me, grow some balls and find a real job.
Received a recorded message for "Dave's Carpet Cleaning". I am on the Do Not Call list.
Got a call on my San Diego cell phone. Foolishly answered thinking that it may be someone I knew in Orange county. There was no response to my "hello"; Why would they call then hang up w/o scamming me?? Just to annoy me? I thought about calling back, but checked the phone number here first. Will try to register a complaint.
I received several phone calls from 949-614-0045 and no voicemails
We seem to be getting more and more of these calls. We are on the "do not call" list, but that doesn't seem to mean anything any more. How can folks like us stop this nonsense?
Recording.
As soon as I said something other than when I wanted my appointment, they hung up on me. They *know* they are scum
Caller ID displayed number as "words"; didn't answer, no message.
Called the number back and got a recording that said it was a non-working number
I received a call from 949-614-0045 "Jim's Carpet Cleaning". When I pressed 1 to speak with an agent, a girl answered. I told her it was a business line, and I had no carpets, she said "I don't speak Spanish" laughed and hung up on me. I tried to call back, and it said "The number you have dialed is a not a working number. Please check the number and dial again. message 3CA21GN".
Caller ID: 9496140045
Caller: Jims Carpet Cleaning
Caller Type: Telemarketer
Went to voicemail, no message. Called number back, message said "you have reached a number no longer in service".
The mechanical man calls here EVERY DAY. I screen my calls but it's still very annoying to have to listen to it. Today I picked up the phone and pressed 1. I asked the woman who answered why they were calling when I was on the Do Not Call list, and instead of putting me on the company's do not call list, she hung up on me so hard my ear hurts.
unknown carpet cleaning business. Keeps calling even after telling them we are on the do not call list. I have filed a complaint for a Do Not Call violation.
Upon calling back this number (using Skype to foil Caller ID) "This number doesn't exist".
Using Skype (to avoid caller ID) this number is "non-existant"
recorded message to a DNC number
Dialed 1 for customer service and reached a live woman. I asked to be taken off the list and transferred to the manager, got hung up of course.
They did not leave any message.
I pressed 1 and when a female picked up I told them my number was on the "Do not call list" and that I didn't appreciate the call. They just hung up. A-holes!
My 5yo answered and then hung up. The display said NOT AVAILABLE and when I called back I get a standard recording "We're sorry. Your call did not go through. Please check the number and try again."
just recieved a call from these idiots, they didnt leave a messageon my answering machine, always hangs up, funny thing is when i called the number back as per my caller id : 1-949-614-0045 it states the number is noelonger in service, now how is that possible if they just called me....
Recording offering to steam clean my carpets
Carpet Cleaning call came in on my cell phone. I hit #1 to talk to someone and got a complete and utter rude female voice. As soon as I mentioned I'm on the do-not-call list AND they were calling me ona cell phone. she hung up in mid sentence. I will pursue legal action asap.
When I pressed 1 to make an appointment to "get my carpets cleaned" I was transferred to a female. I asked her to take my number off their automated calling list and she just hung up in my ear. SCAM - BIG TIME.

I get this call from Dave wanting to clean my carpets and ask me to press 1 for an appointment.
I am o nhe do not call list. Why are they calling?
We are also on the Do Not Call List. It doesn't help and they will probably never be able to find the source of these calls. We get similar-sounding calls from a supposed carpet cleaning company about once a week. This company's recorded message does not actually identify the business name. It just says it is a "local carpet cleaning company."
I am on the Do Not Call list and I don't appreciate solicitors that ignore the rules. I've noticed that the majority that still continue to call me are from carpet cleaning companies.
This person left a recorded message on my voicemail selling me his carpet-cleaning service, despite the fact that I'm on the Do Not Call Registry.
I've gotten about 4 calls from this biz, asking to prss one to make an appt to have carpet cleaned
don't give them any info, they will use it for identity theft. First they call you with the carpet cleaning company, ask for your name, phonenumber, address. You can setup an appointment for carpet cleaning and say ok come over on Tuesday, what time do you have free on Tuesday? They immediately say what time do you want, ok 9:00 fine. They don't check any schedule it obvious scam.
The other part is, they will call you with credit card debt service. They ask you to tell them do you have more than $5000 in debt? If you say yes then they ask for what kind of card is it? What is the expiration date, what is the card number? If you ask anything besides just answering their questions they will get suspicious and hang up.
So, putting it together, they got your name + address from the carpet scam, and get your credit card # + expiration date from the credit card scam.
What you can do to fight it is file a police report with your local police for either harassing phone calls or identity theft. Someday these guys are going to mess up and get busted.
If you are brave, you can feed them fake information to waste their time but it just wastes your time.
Missed call, no message. See also...

I keep getting the same robo-dialed phone call from a perky female voice called "Allison" for a carpert cleaning company. A couple of times, I go through the prompts and receive a live person to book the carpet cleaning. It always ends up being a man on a cellphone with a very heavy Latino accent.
