How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

several calls from this number over the past few days. never anything on the other end.
no message, who are they?
Called 4/17/07 at 6:30 pm. asking for donations to the fireman's fund. Was told we were busy. Called again 4/18/07 I didn't answer.... They didn't leave a message.
This number called 7:04pm on a Tuesday night. It displayed Ohio Call. Did not answer. No message was left.
Came thru "Ohio call" on caller ID. DH answered and he said it was someone from the "fireman's association" (or something like that) asking for a donation. Their number has showed up on my caller ID several times a week, but they never leave a message.

Called several times in the past few months. I called the number back and it is a sherrifs/state police donation line. However it is not the one that gives you the sticker for your car, the more well known one i mean. not sure who these people are or if they are even for real. it seems my guess is it's a hoax, based off how they hang up on people and such. hope this helps =D
Answered phone...no one on the other end of the line. This number has been on my called ID numerous times. Pretty annoying whoever it is!

Just called at 7:04pm, fundraising org for the Ohio Police. We are on the do not call registry. Second time they called us in 1 week.

Got call on election night, around 6 PM. Man said he was calling from something like association of police sherrifs or something. He asked if I was from Brittain. I said no, and he hung up. Very odd.
Called their toll free number(1-800-704-1482) and opted out of their calling list. It is automated and short so I Thought I would ost it here. One less thing to worry about.
No voice and then click it was gone. On national do not call list. Gee, a representative for law enforcement not obeying the law. Imagine that.
Annoying, 6pm call, let go to voicemail. call back, get an automated note stating that someone for donations for police and fire would call me back. On national do not call list, obviously, they don't care.

Just called... Didn't recognized the number, so I let the answering machine grab it. Silence followed by a loud annoying dial tone. Why call at 8:30 PM only not to leave a message? Who is this?
