I do not waste my time answering unknown numbers; no message was left.
We are on the DNC List. From comments posted here, this must have been a call from Credit Card Services. Hope the FTC does their job and goes after them.
This is the second call I received from this outfit. The first one showed SERVICEMSG on the caller ID and 202-367-9951 as the phone number. They did leave a recorded message on my voice mail. Both messages appear to be identical. In both cases I got the message about reducing by credit interest rate to 6.9%. I didn't pick up on the first call but I did on this one. I listened to the message pressed 9 to speak to a live(?) person and then put the phone down and walked off. Maybe it will cost them a little time and money to listen to dead air. Guess it's time to make another FTC report.
whitepages.com shows this as a cell phone from yuma, az. Wants to lower your credit card rates. When you answser, you get a recorded, automated call wanting to lower your credit card rates. I don't have a credit card. Caller ID shows "Out of Area".
Recorded message regarding credit card ... "call immediately"
Caller promptly hung up at "Hello"!
They asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate to 6.9 % if so press 9. I wanted to tell them to stop calling and some guy came on and asked if I had more than $3,000 in credit card debt. When I said no, and started to talk - he hung up on me. busy signal when you call them back...
Caller did not leave a message
Have any of you tried to return the call??
Could it be NCO Financial Systems? They always spam their number???
