MY MOTHER IS 78 YRS OLD AND SHE GOT BEHIND AND BEHIND ON HER WAMU CRDIT CARD DUE TO ILLNESS! HER CREDIT CARD LIMIT WAS 3500 AND THE LAST TIME I HEARED HER BALANCE WAS $5957...............OVER THE LIMIT FEES AND PAST DUE EVERY MONTH.....THEY FINALY CLOSE AND SUED HER FOR THE BALANCED......WHEN I CALLED FOR MY MOM AND EXPLAIN THE SITUATION! THEY SAID TOUGH! SHE STILL HAVE TO PAY UNLESS SHES DECEACE! GUYS NAME IS DAVID WEBB! HIS FAX NO... IS 716 362 4949.............FAX THEM SOMETHING! ANYTHING!

Absolutely the WORST company I've ever been associated with! Rude and obnoxious is too good fro these hentchmen~! This is one of the instituitons that didn't blink once about taking our good taxpayer dollars, but put the shoe on the other foot and they go for the jugglur! I've just about had it in this mess...husband left last year and that included all his financial responsibilbity and I have 2 kids to rear...so, I'm broke, in debt like I've never seen..and he and his momma want all I've got!

One last comment, before I closed the account they sent me a notice saying that although I never had missed a payment and always paid above the min. required they were going to raise my interest rate to (GET THIS NOW) 31%... YES 31% can you imagine... I just called right then and there and closed the account. WHAT A BUNCH OF THIEVES!!!!!!

I have tried over and over to deal with these people but they are like robots. Where is all that money that we the taxpayers gave to these institutions to help us? My husband lost his job and I closed the account but still get the fees I asked them to give me a lower payment, but the fees make it impossible... They just give you the same old speech. I give up, might as well take the credit hit. If they do not want to negociate I figure they don't need my money. They can right it off and collect that billions to up their accounts.

I got calls also and they left messages about a credit card account with WaMu which I don't have. Upon call back, I got a menu which asks for card number and or SS #. This appears to be a "phishing" scam. It has been reported to the FDIC.

I HAVE REQUESTED FOR A CHANDE IN DUE DATE ON MY ACCOUNT, DUE TO DROP IN SALARY EVERY TIME I MAKE A PAYMENT THE FINANCE CHARGES COVER THE MOMEY I SEND,I CAN ONLY PAY ONCE A MONTH THE 15TH OR IN THAT WEEK WHEN EVER THE THIRD WED. OF EACH MONTH OCCUR, IM REQUESTING HELP IF THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. I WILL NEVER PAY THIS BILL OFF AND IM NOT GETTING CREDIT FOR THE MONEY I SEND. ,I AM SPENDING MY WHEELS I MIGHT AS WELL STOP TRYING.

I owe WAMU but they call 50 times a day from 50 different phone numbers.... I just quit answering my phone.

I went to an area that offered me a date for payment and an amount I could pay , but now I cant find it could you direct me in that direction so I can fill in the necessary information.

I would like to know where they find these people that work for their company they can not speak English and that's only when you call them back do you even get a live person this is so unreal i don't know what they call for 7 days a week i have always paid my bills on time and i miss a payment one time and i was out of the country for a family event and when i did get back my kids had told me they had harrassed them so much telling my kids they know that i at home and demand to talk to me until i told the company not to call my house and tell my small children about my business it's not like my kids are going to make a payment to them this is unbeilievable how this company works

This number has called me more than 3 or 4 times in a day not only on my home number but also on my work number and they don't say nothing but it is just a recording and they leave a phone number and a e-mail address to contact so here i'am wondering what you want please let me know

They have called me 2-8 times a day, on my home phone and cell phone. I picked up on my cell phone and I got an indian- she was rude and I could not understand her. She demanded that I pay my bill emediately-I said I couldn't-she said I had to- I said I don't have the money since I lost most of my work income. She said that I should take out a loan to pay WAMU. Take a loan and pay with what? She was a real B if you know what I mean-I asked for a rate reduction so I could get caught up-the answer was NO- I asked for a supervisor and got another Indian- I asked for someone who could speak English or an American--the line went dead. This company really sucks in the line of customer service.

Is there any english speaking people working there. Call me when you hire one. The notice you sent me stated you had payment options, i saw none. best if i contact a attoney, for a pissy 1600.00 credit card debt.

So nice to do business with a bunch of incosiderate assholes. But gee this is America where they have the right to be as they are. Not that I do any business with this people and never will. But they bought out the place I did do business with I had even at one time thought of changing bamking to WAMU but now I won't even when Hell freezes over. So nice to have them screwing the people. What burns me is the fact they say go to their site for assistance then you can't get thru to even check your account as they say you can do. I CALLED WASHINGTON MUTUAL ON 12/8/07 REQUESTING AN INTEREST RATE REDUCTION , AS I'M PAYING 23.74% , AND WAS TOLD I DO NOT QUALIFY AT THIS TIME. THE 1ST PERSON I TALKED TO TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT I HAD EITHER BEEN LATE OR MISSED A PAYMENT AT SOME TIME. SHE FINALLY HUNG UP ON ME WHEN SHE COULD'NT FIND AN ANSWER,TO JUST WHEN THAT COULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE. I CALLED BACK , GOT ANOTHER PERSON AND SHE PUT ME THRU TO HER SUPERVISOR. SHE COULD'NT UNDERSTAND WHY IT'S SO HIGH AND SAID SHE WOULD RECCAMEND A REDUCTION. AND FOR ME TO E- MAIL WAMU AND PUT IN A REQUEST . I DID , AND GOT A RESPONSE BACK THAT IT'S NOT POSSIBLE AT THIS TIME . BUT NO REASON WHY. I HAVE OTHER CREDIT CARDS , AND HAVE GOTTEN RATE REDUCTIONS , WITH NO PROBLEM . SO TELL ME WOULD YOU RATHER I FILE BANKRUPTSY AND YOU GET NOTHING , OR LOWER MY RATE ?

Washington Mutual calling to check on credit card activity and possible fraud use.

I HAVE HAD SOMEWHERE AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF 40 CALLS IN THE LAST MONTH,IF NOT MORE.I NEVER RECEIVED MY 1ST BILL AND THEN THEY TACKED ON ALL OF THESE EXTRA CHARGES.I CALLED TO HAVE THEM SEND ME A BILL,WHICH THEY FINALLY DID AND THEN THEY CHARGED ME $10 FOR A SUMMARY OF MY CHARGES.THE MOST UNPROFFESSIONAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH

I have received approximately ohhhhh 20 or more calls from this number. They have left a message and it was recorded and cut off. Then I get dead air on my VM like they are leaving a message but there is nothing there. Just a couple minutes of staticy air. If you have an acct. with them, is why they may be trying to call but if not put your number on the National DNC list. They can be fined if its not in regards to an account and they are still calling you to solicit your business.

Look up the Fair Debt Collection Act. This is illegal according to this act. Contact the Attorney General of your state and the state of the call. Then contact the FTC.gov and file a complaint.

This is HSBC, not Washington Mutual. They have been calling me non stop for the last week because some stupid girl who had my # before is in major debt with them. If you call 800-395-2274, they will add your number to their Do Not Call list.

I get calls from this number at least once a day on my cell phone. They also call my business office once a day - the first time, asking for my husband by name. Every other time, they just hang up on our receptionist! Don't they have anything better to do with their time?!!!

I have received calls from this number many times over the last two days. They NEVER leave messages for a return call and their failure to do so coupled with their many call leads me to believe that this is harassment on their part. I NEVER answer calls from numbers that I do not recognize. They also make calls from a number "unknown" made at an ungodly hour of the morning. The calls must be originating from another country.

I'm always current on my payment, infact I've walked my payment into the bank. They start out using their 800 number and after that they'll use their 925, at first they won't leave a message, they started using 'this is not a sales call' tactic. If I don't recognize the number I won't pick up.They do call several times a day. I just don't pick up. They're a pain in the butt.

They are just trying to sell you a better mortgage rate or upgrade you....you have probably used Wash Mutual in the past or present...that's probably all they want!!!! Get their address and mail them a letter to stop calling you. If they have anything to say, they can say it in writing. That's my take on the matter. I've answered before and when they say Hello, I blew a whistle in the phone! LOL they still call thou!

It is a credit card company, a letter sent gives web address so one can get help with a better paying arrangement, but it only takes you to ebay?-also the reps are rude people from India!

To Patty and Debbie. If you get the address of the company calling you, whether it is legitimate or not, all you have to do is write them a letter telling them not to call you again and they are only allowed to call you one more time to tell you that they will not be calling you anymore. It worked for me a few years ago. Unless the laws have changed, it should work. Hope this helps.

They finally left a message with a web site that says wamucanhelp.com. But when you go to that site it asks for an account number and I dont have an account with them.

They did not leave a message. I know my bill is late but I mailed it yesterday. They will probably stop calling when they receive it.

Somehow they got my cellphone number and call several times a day!!

I get several calls a day from this number. NO message is ever left They call at 8:00am and 8:25am. Yesterday there was 5 calls no message left and I don't even have an account with these people. My grown son who hasn't lived here in 2 years does. He showed me his statement from them and he has a zero balance on this credit card. I am on the no call list!! This company stinks!!!!!

Answer to Patty: Since I lost my job due to circumstances beyond my control, I have found out that bill collectors can call you ANY day of the week. I get 10 to 15 calls every day... Sunday through Saturday. I have found that they generally DO NOT call before 8 am or after 9 pm but other than that... their just "a dialin' away"... my phone never stops!!!

I got the 925-738-0247 tons of times even early Sunday morning and saturday's the call 2 times a dayis. Never leaving a voice mail either.I thought you can not call on Sundays???

First they called from 800-297-8359, then when I quit answering calls, they switched to 925-738-0247, then to 800-395-2274. Can't wait to see what number will be next.
