Who Called Us

They call from 919-256-3001 & 919-156-1196. They have been calling me for a week now. I can not sleep. They called last night and this morning at 11:58PM 3:16AM 3:18AM 3:37AM 5:33AM 5:35AM 8:58AM 11:08AM. I filed a police report for harrassing communucations.

I got the 919-863-4972 call tonight (2/17/09) at 7:02 PM on my cell phone. I know I have received calls from this number before (or the same company under other numbers) ever since I got my phone at Christmas, and I still received them despite adding my cell's number to the national Do Not Call list earlier this month. They always leave automated messages similar to the ones other people have described, Absolute Collection Service, for a Fabian Ilava, or something like that. It's super-annoying because I use a Tracfone and their messages eat up my very limited minutes.
I just called their toll-free number (800-752-4172) at 7:25 tonight from my cell, and I actually got a hold of someone right away! I asked him to please remove my number from their list, as I am not the person they're looking for, and he immediately removed my number. I will definitely be paying close attention to my call log for this number in the future, and if it shows up again, or if they keep leaving messages for the mysterious Fabian Ilava, I will be filing a complaint with the FTC.

We keep getting pre-recorded messages on our answering machine asking for someone named "Maia Florini." We don't know any Maia Florini. I was toying with the idea of calling them back to tell them that they have the wrong number, but after reading these comments, I'm afraid to contact them: they might just start harrassing us.

I keep getting calls from this number and others asking for someone who I don't know. I registered my phone number on donotcall and they still keep calling.

If you want to get to them, file a complaint with your State Attorney and the Federal Trade Commission - this one you can do online. It will at least cause them some harassment back.

its a call from a place known as Vector those annoying knife sales people from cutco they are a piramid scheme just dont answer the phone or record the "were sorry this numbers disconnected" tone and play it back when you answer the phone and the computer will delete your number from the systom... thats how them telemarket kill things work!....have fun!

Call 1-800-752-4172 and ask for customer service. They should take care of the problem, unless of course, they are really looking for you! :)

These retards have called me with THREE numbers, asking for this retard named Jessie Bostick or something, they leave me messages while I'm at school, sometimes.

Asked me to hold, then left me on hold for 3 minutes on my cell.

Someone called my phone from this number i did not answer they left an automated answer for someone named Brad Arglo i think i couldnt make out the last name

I keep receiving a computerized voicemail message asking me to call customer service. Coincidentally, this is approximately two weeks after I received a rather rude harassing call from Afni Collections for a bill that was paid years ago. Can anyone tell me if the two are related?

Have caller Id came up private,answered it. gave no name or who they were calling For. Talk about a pain in the ass. Called the number three times twice rang about 30 times. called again rang busy. What a business this is.

~First an automated voice mail from a medical collection agency out of NC~These ppl call where I work, to the main switchboard that I answer for, asking for employees (that don't work there)..or employees(that do work there)but are not allowed to have personal phone calls during work hours. Our company is scrict about that. I tell them all the time that the employees they ask for are either terminated, or not allowed to accept personal phone calls. They laugh and threaten to come down and make me get the employee. I have talked with out legal department and they say I am within my rights to refuse to put the calls through because of departmental policies. Yet, they continue to call, sometimes as many as 10 times a day. Each time they "demand" that I "GET" that person "NOW"! ~~Did it ever occur to them that if the person has such outstanding bills (or their loved one did) that the person has passed away, is still not working because of medical condition, is way behond in bills because of a serious medical condition or the loved one it involves has passed away.~~

Calls over and over, but hangs up if you answer

I received a call from them at 10:02 AM (10/29/07). It was a computerized voice mail stating that they are Absolute Collection Services and something about debt, and to call 800-752-4172. I have no debt...

I received a message from this company on my cell phone. The message said We have tried calling you numerous times trying to collect debt money. If you aren't Chris Clinard or something like that, please hang up immediately. They gave me a telephone number to call. I tried calling it to tell them that I am not Chris Clinard or whoever the hell they said, but I can never get through. They have called me several times over the past half year, but I think they have stopped. I wish they would stop calling, I am not in debt, nor will I ever be, and if I was, I wouldn't be here typing this message, I would be living on the streets. They need to stop calling my stupid cell phone. How did they even get the cell phone number in the first place. I've also seen this number on the caller ID on my house phone. How do they have both numbers. When they called I thought that whoever Chris Clinard is made up a false telephone number, and it happened to be my cell phone, because he was in debt and didn't get caught. This number needs to stop calling. I think we all need to prank call the solicitors. These solicitors don't have anything better to do in their lives but sit on their ass and piss people off over the telephone.

This number belongs to Absolute Collection Service (ACS). They also call from 919-863-0689. Sometimes it's automated, other times u may hear a live voice! They generally handle collections for medical practitioners. BEWARE!

Got 4 calls within one hour at my job.

got called, and a machine voice stating being some kind of financial office sounded like a collecting agency, and asking if you Mrs.., please press 1. I did, it then put me on hold for 5 minutes before I hang up. I received similar calls almost weekly for the past few weeks and sometimes with a different number 18882659381, and it was the reason that i waited for 5 minutes hoping to find who it was.

Got three calls today, each asking for a different person. It's automated.

Number called me and left message claiming that they were Absolute Collections. The call was a recording and the name of the person asked for was inaudible.

These numbers keep calling me and have asked for several people. Several weeks ago they were calling for 2 different women and today I began receiving calls for a man.

If you can't block the numbers, see if your phone lets you set up different rings for certain numbers. If so, set these numbers to no ring :) it's better than nothing.

A collection agency

The message was a computerized message that said it was TSS and to return the call to 866-549-0695. I believe they are a bill collector and they have asked for a name that it not at my number.

Message in nasty voice said it was for XY (first and last name); if you are not XY hang up now, etc. Identified caller as Absolute Collection Service. I've had many of these for XY, traced them and called them on a number that answers, told them to remove my number, and this was months ago.

They called me and asked can i speak with Rosemary, I said this is her then they disconnect. it creeped me out.

We get calls at our office from this number weekly. They would like to speak a Mr.or Mrs. so and so, then a rude hang-up! I have lived all over the US and Raleigh/Wake county is the worst for this.They lead the nation. I'm from this state. The information age...

They call every week, ask for a Christy Gilbert, who has never worked in this office. When I ask for a manager, they say, hold please, and hang up. GRR.

Keep getting calls from this number & no voice msg. Annoying. I don't answer numbers that I haven't given out & programmed into my cell, unless they leave a number!

It is absolute collection that calls from 919-863-4972. Block their number if you have that service. It may say you can't add that number,but you can if you do it right after you receive a call, go to your call block service, hit #01#, that will block the last number that called you.

Call was a recording asking if I was so and so by name and then I clicked 1 for yes and then it just kept ringing and ringing and ringing If you call the number directly, it is busy.

I have no idea who this is .. I think they call for whoever used to have my cell number. Man, they recycle the numbers to fast!
