How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.

Call came from New York to Kansas at 13:59 hours on 11-22-09. Call not answered, and no message left. Call tracked to Global Crossing, the big advertising firm, and from there to American Lung Association.
This number is just one in a string of numbers for American Lung.
Basically the same MO. Calls daily, no one on other end. Extremely annoying. I find it difficult to believe that this is the charitable organization...must be a collection office.
Been calling several times a day for weeks, but leave no message. They can call all they
want as calls are never answered if its a number we do not reconize.
What a joke! When will organizations like the American Lung understand that they are doing more to push people away than they are turning people on to support them. Who really wants the phone ringing off the hook throughout all hours of the day and no one on the other end when you pick it up. I can say that I will never suppor American Lung or any associated organizations.
I'm fed up with this damm number calling my house like 8 times a day for 3 weeks now.This is not the American Lung Assc. My son is asthmatic and I deal with the ALA on yearly basis and they do not harass people in this manner not even for donations.These calls are rude and they also disrupt our family dinner to the point we shut the ringer off on the phone!What can be done to stop these a$$holes?
I bet this is none other than HSBC. HSBC was calling here constantly, 21 times a day on some days, for a party that doesn't live here. I told them and asked them to stop. They never even slowed down, I finally got pissed-off and filed with the attorney general's office. This got the calls stopped. Now they've started again, but it's AMERICAN LUNG -- I don't believe it. I think it's HSBC's speciall harrassment number, so if they think you've not paid them or you're hiding someone who owes them, they'll just harras your ass this way! HSBC = SCUM ---
Same here in Southern California. It's been going on for about a week.The phone rings - answer - click - they hang up.
No messages on voice mail either. Could this be a crooked 3rd party automated phone system company billing the American Lung Association by the number of calls?

CALLED MY HOUSE NUMEROUS TIMES EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK,THIS IS REALLY HARRASSING.
It's the American Lung Association. Apparently they are using a third party phone system. They've called at my house two days in a row but don't leave a message. They also do not answer when called back because it's an automated number.
