Who Called Us

Showed up on my caller id as TELEPHONE MANAGER,was not home when they called,they hung up on my machine.very odd! my telephone does not have a mgr lol,to me it seems like it is a scam,thinking it's the phone comany calling.yeaahh riiight,let me give them my ssn and banking info! LOL

Something about an account, I had with them. It was a woman and she started to tell me that it wasn't overdue or anything yet, but... It was at this time that I hung the phone up on her. I had just gotten a telephone installed into my cable system a few hours before and then received this call which was to be blocked by my cable company. They are to automatically block all 900/976 phone numbers.

Something from Heather or whatnot. A robot female voice. 15 seconds later I got a call from 317-436-1150 with the exact same recorded message.

When an unknown area code calls indicated by caller id, I pick up the phone and yell
"STOP CALLING" It is very effective. I'm sure it hurts their eardrums coming through their headset. headset.

First of all, the calls from Tim Culver and stolen puppies are simply coincidence. I live in a small border town in Texas and am getting the same calls, but "Tim Culver" got wise and blocked his name and number. I got ticked when they called and pressed 1 to speak to a representative. She asked me if I was interested in their lower interest rate offer and I said that I just wanted to know what company they were with...she said "Credit Card Services" and then hung up on me! Now I don't know who to kick in the teeth!

Is this all you people have to complain about? Get caller ID if you don't recognize the number, don't answer it. You spend more time Googleing the numbers then writing your whining comments on this site.

While checking my incoming caller log on my Asterisk server, I found this one today, with the name "TELEPHONE MANAG". Since I've already blacklisted all of 913-529-29xx, my phone never rang. :o)

Keeps calling, calls from multiple different 913-529 and 816-389 numbers. Occasionally someone is there and asking for info. Do not give them anything.

They call constantly. I used to push 2 to stop calls, but they continued. Finally I started pushing 1. They get very beligerent with me or hang up on me and tell me they will continue to call even though I am on the no call list.

Just moved and got a new, unlisted number. I didn't answer. No message was left. I've been gettin a lot of spam calls. Yesterday it was from 000-000-0000. Of course I didn't answer that one, either.

I have had several phone calls from this #. It says Tim Culver on the caller ID. When you answer the phone it is a recording and gives you the option to talk with a live person or be taken off of the calling list. When you choose the second option it hangs up on you, therefore never taking you off the list. If you choose the first option a live person comes on and I tel them to take me off the list and they hang up the phone before I even finish my sentence. When I call the # back I either get a busy tone or an answering machine asking me to leave my telephone #.

very odd... I work at home, and got these calls for weeks at the same time.. never paid much attention until I selected "2" which should get me off of their call list. Next day.. same call.. so I figure I am going to press "1" and chew them out..demand to be take n off of their list, as required by law. So I press one, and the phone rings, but a weird, really short digital ring, like it was accidently picked up or transferred.. and I can hear someone talking in what I am certain was arabic.. I didn't think much of it at the time.. thinking it was some offshore/outsourced call center and two of the telemarketers were caught on a break, and they happen to be speaking arabic.. not too crazy.
The two weeks later I ran across a reference to Tim Culiver as a phishing front for Al Qaida suspected of scamming credit cards to raise money for their insurgency and testing out phishing routines for a wave of electronic attacks on the infrastructure of this country.
I might be wrong about the last two points though...

I called Birch Telecom at 1-866-400-1422. I spoke with Gary (a rep)...I asked to speak with a supervisor..he would NOT let me until I SAID that I would "purchase" their services. He asked what city and state I would to purhcase their services. I reiterated again that I would like to discuss that with a supervisor. The supervisor (Chris) came on the line, he said he couldn't find this "number" in his database. He told me to hold on the line to wait to contact some type of phone security reps to conference me in the call. The "security guy" was VERY helpful (to my surprise) and understanding and did acknowledge that they have received several calls complaining about this company calling constantly. He also said that he is aware that this person or entity is SPOOFING the caller ID number (IT'S NOT THE REAL NUMBER) and they are trying to track down where the call originates from. The only thing he really suggested was to email/contact the FTC. Good luck!

I have gotten tired of these same folks trying all different ways to get my info. So I have started doing the one thing that bothers them. I keep them on the line asking questions for as long as possible. That costs the company for phone usage and ties up the person talking to me from making the next call. Believe it or not that angers a lot of telemarketers. If you have some time try it.

Of course I had no intentions of doing anything other than finding out who they are, in the interum I had called my CC company and told them of the info that these people had and that they did indeed have some personmal info on me that was more than they should have had. The CC company said they had no knowledge of doing any kind of business relations or giving data to this company, although they did provide me with the info that alot of this CC companies accounts info, on tapes, had been lost or stolen and that the info they had sounded like partial info format that might have been found on stolen or lost credit card tapes. I put a fraud alert on my credit reports. I suggest anyone receiving these called follow suit, as I don't thing it is just random calling especially since my phone number is listed under a different name and they called it with my name and data.

They told me they are alegit business. I told him I would need to call him back that I was indeed interested in taking advantage of reduced APR but had an appointment. Later that day I received a call back from a woman who wanted to finish processing my application fo rthe reduced APR, She called froma number in FLA, I told her I needed to take her number and call her back, she gave it to me and I also pressed her for an address,which she gave me. When I checked out the address in Florida I couldn't find a listing. I found a close by business and called the company, I asked them if they new of a company by this name at this address. The person on the phone told me that such an address did exist and that there was a telemarketing company at that address and that she didn't want to get in the middle of any problems with the company because she often spoke coordialy with the telemarketers who worked there when they woud meet outside for smoke breaks and that she had to office next to them.

These people called and stated that they were my credit card company (name left out intentionally) they told me that I qaulified for a reduced APR on my VISA Card and that they needed to verify the last 4 digits of my SS# that they also needed the last 3 digits on the back of the card. I told them I would not give them this info, the guy got beligerent and said "WE ALL READY HAVE ALL THE DATA ON YOU, YOUR NOT GIVING ANYTING WE DON"T ALREADY HAVE." I Asked if he was indeed with my credit card company and he said they were Credt Services working in conjuction with my credit card company and that my credit card company gave aoutmatically down loads peoples data into their computer database.

Yes, he tagged my phone too.

Yes..had this # on my caller ID....and my number is non published...so how are these guys gettin' our #'s......can you say ILLEGAL programming with blocks of numbers. And I'm also on a donotcall.gov list...so each time they call is a Federal Violation.

Called me at 12:37 EDT. Caller ID stated Lenexa, KS. I did not answer however, they did wait long enough to get my voicemail and didn't say a word. Just paper shuffling and an inaudible voice in the background.

I tracked down there "office" where the calls originate from and found only an empty parking lot. The call was traced to that location but there was only a toll booth and an empty lot. There was a huge antennae like dish in the center of the lot with a red car parked by it. When I was poking around, I realized that the booth was an elevator which had a punch clock and an ID scanner. I started pushing buttons and a group of very "mafia-esque" gentlemen approached me and told me that if I knew what was good for me I should leave this "private property". They said Mr. Culver sends his regards....soooo wierd!Don't take his calls!!

I've gotten over 15 calls from this number. There would be a recorded message about lowering my interest rates. I've hung up. Today I wanted to find out who the heck these calls were coming from, so I pressed 1. A woman came on the phone and said they could lower my interest rates. She wanted my card info. I told her I didn't give that over the phone. She said it was my last chance. I told her, "Good. Quit calling me." and hung up. Maybe now the calls will stop.

I'm playing detective with this guy now lol. He called atleast twice today, but maybe three times. My friend got a strange call yesterday and nobody talked on the other end of the line. There are many other people reporting this same number on 800notes.com, if you are interested. I'm doing my best to figure this guy out. Based on reportings, he usually doesn't say anything when you answer the call. Somebody reported stolen puppies and that the "dognapper" dialed this number. Another person reports that he asked who exactly "Tim Culver" is and he replied, after laughing, "You have no idea who I am, this is not our real name or our number". Another reporting is that this number called somebody shortly before a man was seen prowling the caller's victim's yard. He was sighted in a red car by a neighbor, after the victim recieved this phone call. Another receiver of this number's call reported the man threatened "I'm gonna get you" and "You're on candid camera." Based on these reports I am assuming this guy is psychopathic and he attempts to "phish" people's credit card accounts. Next time he calls, DO NOT ANSWER HIS QUESTIONS! I know I sound like I'm making a big deal out of this but I am suspicious. I'm not afraid of him but I'm curious to find out who he is. I will try to tape a phone recording of him and will notify you all when I do. Anyway I couldn't get out of the house today so I was bored and began researching this number. And now I'm considering going into the FBI as a criminal profiler lol.

I got a call from him today but I was online (dial-up) and my computer Caller ID said "Tim Culver". Be aware, I have read comments on similar websites to this one that people reported strange happenings after the call. There is one report that somebody's puppies were stolen. Don't freak out next time he calls, just be on the look-out.

When I picked up there was a computer message from Card Services. I selected to talk to a rep (to try and figure out where the call was from). The rep could only read from a script about lowering credit card interest rates, wouldn't answer where he was calling from. When I asked for a supervisor, hung up.
