How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Saying they can lower your interest rate. I connected and it was a person who could barely speak English. Told them my number was on the DNC List and was promptly hung up on before I could finish speaking. Probably a scam to get one's credit card numbers and info.
Same old scam as always. Next it'll be "your auto warranty is expiring". Next time, press 9 to speak with someone and tell them they've called the District Attorney's office! That'll get you off the list in a hurry!
Definately a scam looking for credit card or bank numbers. When I press to talk to someone I tell them I have no credit cards and wish to be removed from their list. I recently told them to remove me or I will call the Attorney General, which I did. I also reported them to DONOTCALL.GOV as I am on the DNC list. If you call the number back it says "subscriber cannot receive voicemail messages". If you hold on it says "press 0 to speak to an operator". If you press 0 it says "invalid command". SCAM!!!!
Phone spammer. Wish I could find a way to get those clowns to pay a massive fine with the FTC.

These jerks call on my cell which is on the do not call list. I do not have a credit card with them so this is a SPAM!

Rachel from credit card services wanting to lower credit interest rates... Answered two different numbers in the past with the same recording. This is the first time I looked up the number.
Call was automatically generated. I am on don not call list. It is an offer to lower your credit card rate. Press 9 to be connected to operator. I pressed 9. I spoke to Jennifer and she wanted to know if I had 5000 or more in credit card debt. I told her no, that I have no cards, that I am on the do not call list and I wanted to know who she was with and she said that she had no control over the phone dailer. She advised that It was my fault for pressing 9 and she hung up.
same as Pete, lower interest rates, press 9, they hang up when you ask them who they work for, the next few days i've received a ridiculous amount of spam text messages, so I wonder if they sold my number
offering to lower my credit card rate, asking me to press 9 which I did to tell them to not call. Silence....
