How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Reporting to FCC and my state's attorney general's office. I'm not sure if that will do much good, but we are on the Do-Not-Call registry and these scammers need to receive their $11,000 fine for calling me illegally!
Automated message said it was an important call about my credit card. Said nothing was wrong with my account, but I needed to press 9 to talk to them about lowering my interest rate. Said the offer was expiring very soon and this was my last chance to lower the rate. Didn't identify which company they were from or what card they were calling about (I have more than 1 credit card.) I pressed 9, and the phone just rang several times before I finally hung up.
I'm so tired of this in considerate scanner, ringing my number all hours of the day & night! I have Lymes desease & it hurts like he'll to get up to answer the phone, especially a repetative hassling caller like this one sometime up to three times a day!
Please help put this person in the hot seat to pay for his devious scam tactics!!

Automated voice message said credit card rates had increased or were about to but could avoid increase by speaking with a representative by pressing 9 on the keypad. Or if not interested or to remove from call list, press 8 on keypad.

i got a call from this number yesterday ay 2.57pm and i have a cable phone which you can look on line and it tells you the area its calling from and it says "turkey"????

Calls to my do not call number. Called Verizon to pursue. Recommend you do the same. Also your state attorney general.
Auto-bot called and then I pressed the button to talk to a person and when I got a person I asked them to remove me from their list and then they hung up on me.
Recorded message about lowering interest rate on credit card - end of message said press 8 to be removed from list BUT hung up before any number could be entered!
No message left.
Just got the call. Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. Thanks to this site, I won't answer and will be sending out a bulk text telling people NOT to answer that number!

I was on another call which was too important to have them wait while I answered the call waiting. Left no message. Thanks to this site, I will NOT answer this number and will make sure no one in my household does.

Got a call from this number today. British robot voice talking about credit card rates. Didn't give company name or any other information. Figured it was a scam.
Received a call today from this number and they never left a message. How annoying is that? Thank God I can go to the internet and find out who's calling.

Called to inform me that my credit card rates may be going up and to avoid it I should press the "9" key. There are a bunch of these types of scams going on in my area right now. Don't be fooled!!!!!!
They keep calling it is a credit card company, i think trying to get your business, but it smells like a scam, telemarketer answered, I asked if this was a sales call and they hung up on me.
