If you are having issues with harassment from this number. Email me, I am an attorney investigating Citicard's business practice. Email me at citiclaim@gmail.com

Having been harrassed for months on end from several different numbers, all of them seem to be listed as from Citibank... Yes, I have a card with them, yes I owe them a balance - NO, I have not missed any payments, but I have had to adjust the date the payment has left my account due to how my paychecks hit. Citibank now claims I am 95 months past due, which coincides with when they jacked my interest rate to 30%. I have NOT missed any payments, only continued to make the same payments I had been making previous to the rate hike. I try not to take my frustration out on the droids doing the calling, but hitting them over the head with the facts would seem to work better than attempting to reason with them.
The last time I actually spoke to them was after hanging up on their automated system, I decided to try calling THEM through that number = amazingly, it was a PERSON that picked up! She informed me my account is about to go into collections -- this seems like a winner to me since a collection agency will not continue to add over balance fees and interest rates of 30%!! Yeah! Bring it on, Citibank!!

Maybe if the people who reject or forward the calls would answer, you could either figure out why were calling, or figure out how to get the calls to stop. If you don't want contact by phone that's fine, just send us a letter and the calls stop. I try to be as nice as I can to each of the banks clients, and its not aby reps fault your account fell behind. Don't bitch, just do something about it.

Yes, Citi Collections. Few pieces of information for you all. Since it's not telemarketing, Citi Collections is not bound by any "Do Not Call" Registry. Citi can legally call a number a maximum of 6 times per day on a given account that is past due. So 3 past due accounts means up to 18 calls per day. If you discuss the debt with a Citicards agent, and don't make a payment, it will be 5 days before another call is made about that specific delinquent account. They will also call between the hours of 8am and 9pm in a given timezone. They also aren't actually covered by the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, since Citi is the original creditor, but Citi does follow the guidelines of the FDCPA. Some of you claim that you don't have a Citicard. Citi also issues private label and Oil (gas card) accounts. These include Zales, Gortons, Bailey, Banks and Biddle, J Jill, Kelly Spingfield, Childrens' Place, Office Depot, Goodyear, Drive Card, National Tire and Battery, Tire Kingdom, American Airlines, Home Depot, Sears, Macy's, Shell gas cards, Exxon Mobil, Conoco, Phillips 76, Citgo, Union 76, and probably a few not mentioned. And yes you owe Citi and not one of these places if you have one of these Credit Cards since it is Citi that actually extends the credit on behalf of these businesses. Citi extending the credit allows these partners to receive immediate payment for goods and services to the consumer and Citi assumes to risk of extending credit. If you have filed Bankruptcy, you must provide an attorney's name and telephone number for the calls to stop, and contact with that attorney must be made within 30 days, else the calls will resume. Cursing at a representative will not stop the calls, regardless of whether the number is a correct one to reach a cardmember or not. Verbal requests for calls to stop at the home phone are not honored. If you are working with a credit counseling agency or a debt management company, it is their responsibility to get into contact with Citi, Citi will not contact them first. A proposal from the agency must be made and payment for the agreed amount must post to the account withing 14 calender days of it being accepted for calls to stop. The CCA will also need to continue making monthly payments until balance is paid in full. If they miss a payment, Citi will call again to inform you of this. If they have called your number & it is an invalid number to reach the person, tell them calmly that it is a wrong number, and it will be removed from the system. Hope this helps to clarify some facts for you all.

You should call this Bank Shitibank. They helped destroy the Economy of the world. The Government gave them money to bail them out. Leave me alone I will get my Federal bail out via the US Bankruptcy Court. Thanks Shitibank.

2008-11-25 21:17:18 UTCBailoutBonzo

Nice, Citigroup gets a nice big bailout and their customers file for bankruptcy

they call every day at least 5 times. never anyone on the phone when i pick it up. I have a at&t universal card, on automatic payment through my bank, my interest rate is well over 30% and I have been paying for 3 years or so with less then half of my balance paid off! I shredded the card years ago and just want to get rif of this balance already. We need to file a class action suit against citibank

2008-01-12 14:54:21 UTCSteve

They call, let it ring 4 times and disconnect

2008-01-10 18:47:04 UTCj

THEY CALL FROM ALL SORTS OF NUMBERS 816-420-1168 859-283-3673 505-797-6327 904-954-1095... SOMETIMES ONE AFTER THE OTHER. (I THINK THEY ARE THE SAME OUTFITS) I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY REALLY ARE FROM CITIBANK/CITICORP/CITGROUP. WHO HASN'T USED CITIBANK AT LEAST ONCE ANYWAYS? I HAVE ZERO BALANCE WITH THEM SO IF THEY ARE REALLY CALLING FOR SOMETHING IMPORTANT, THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND BURNING UP MY BATTERY ON MY CELL PHONE. DIE!

Called me at least twice... but I've been getting more calls from the 505------- number

2007-10-22 19:33:52 UTCEdward

Citibank/Citicards phone number. I was late with a payment,ooops.

2007-10-20 02:33:09 UTC-

They called me and said it was Citi Bank. I negotiated a lower interest rate last week and they wanted my address, alt. phone, and social to re-negotiate a lower rate. After I told them I would contact them at another time (I was eating dinner with family) the called insisted I give the information. I hung up on the bitch.

2007-10-05 20:04:37 UTCDavid

These jerks keep calling and calling and calling. No account with CitiCards.

2007-09-30 18:45:05 UTCErik

I've received 3 calls from this number...
No one talks when I say hello.

2007-09-13 23:25:43 UTCTracy

I received a few calls from this number and another Citibank number. They never left a message indicating that I should call them. I've been a bit distracted because I suffered a miscarriage about 10 days before my payment was due and somehow I overlooked this card when I was paying bills. Hopefully they will credit the late fee on my account as I requested and they said they would do.

2007-08-26 22:13:49 UTCdevotednow

It's citibank calling.

2007-08-23 08:42:54 UTCc

They call me several times a day from the 904 number and the 505 number, sometimes right after each other. The thing is, they automatically take $129 out of my bank account to pay my bill so it's on time every month. They have absolutely no reason to be calling me.

2007-08-22 16:00:48 UTCtd

they called like 20 times in 3 or 4 days between this number and the NM number. So I just went online and changed my contact number to my Skype number now they can call all they want and it doesn't bother me.

2007-08-17 02:26:36 UTCLaura

Third call in two days from two different CityCorp numbers, one out of ABQ and one from FL

2007-07-24 01:24:34 UTCVP

Called more than 3 times a Day.

2007-07-17 22:41:21 UTCKJM

I Closed my account and am paying off the balance they keep calling for me to reopen my account - Marketing

2007-06-21 18:03:52 UTCJen

These people have been calling me on two different phones (one is not on the account) for four days now. Sometimes as frequently as 3 minutes between calls. They call from several different phone numbers, and I've gotten to the point where I don't answer calls from out of state- which could hurt my business- but if people really want to talk to me they can leave a message!
I was late on my payment, but I did just send it off finally, so hopefully that will shut them up once they get it!!

2007-06-05 15:02:09 UTCHARRASSED IN NY

Well IF it is Citigroup or whatever "alias of the day" they claim to be well then shame on them because their business practices are ATROCIOUS to say the very least and I would be "mortified" to have my name associated with some of the behavior that I have experienced without a doubt.

After you inform them that the person that their looking for no longer resides at the address their calling and you request them NOT to call the number again and they continue to call 6 or more times a day,everyday..then something is VERY wrong. I still fail to see the logic in calling that many times a day and never leaving a message..maybe it's just me??

AS a result of my recent and VERY ANNOYING experience with them I would NEVER even THINK about doing business with them..and they can surely forget about me recommending them to ANYONE !! What a NIGHTMARE !!

I got aNother call from them... No one was there.. (again ) we should all call and complain about them.. They ought to get a lawsuit after them for harrassment and some sort of bad business practice ..

2007-04-19 02:43:13 UTCJmicro

You all need to get some type of VOIP line. Numbers only come through once and then get blocked forever. So even when I do have a late payment to Citibank I never "get" the call.

2007-04-14 21:10:47 UTCT

For the love of god I paid my bill. Citi bank I am sorry, I will never be late on my payments again. I promis. Now please leave me alone.

2007-04-14 19:13:06 UTCroger

These dirt bags are constantly calling me. It is 3 PM Saturday and they have called me 5 times since 8:49 am. Everyday it is the same. I just pick up the phone now and shout obscenities at them and they still keep calling. They also call on this number 505-797-6388. If they are attempting to collect a debt, that is strange since I have never had a loan or credit card with them.

Two hangups in one day

2007-04-12 13:22:22 UTCdj

Repeated annoying calls from this number. How can I stop them from calling?

2007-03-25 12:17:11 UTCreversal

i had settled up with Citibank to be current with my account with them, put they still keep calling. I have now turned my phone off when sleeping since I am ill and do not like early AM calls

Citibank credit card company. I didn't get my payment mailed on time.

2007-03-17 10:58:00 UTCWISCONSIN

Several calls a day from this number and it's been going on now for over a week. You answer and there is no one there.

2006-12-22 17:13:46 UTCTB

More phone fun with
Citibank... I wish they could take a hint. I filed for bankruptcy, they legally have to leave me alone. But they call 5+ times a day still.
they also use 904-954-1095

2006-12-07 19:24:22 UTCIndiana

One day called me 4-5 times..then 2 days after (today) woke me up 8am! Then called me again in the afternoon.

2006-12-05 22:39:37 UTCDeborah

This website just caused me to panic about this phone number and think I'd been a victim of identity theft - BUT Citibank just confirmed it is actually a Citibank/Citicards phone number. If you are unsure, call the 800 number on the Citibank website and confirm with them. THe same is true of the same number ending in 1091.

2006-12-05 21:22:55 UTCNY

The ID said "Florida" so I didn't answer.

2006-12-05 17:55:52 UTCBrooklyn

Guy calls, asks for a girl living here by name. I ask who is calling, and he responds "Mr. Hamilton." So I ask to take a message. He hangs up.

"Vito" said our payment was due YESTERDAY and wanted to know when we were going to pay it. When I told him it was paid, he asked how much. I asked how much it was supposed to be, and he gave me the wrong amount. While I was typing this, they called on BOTH of our phone lines at once, from 2 different numbers, leaving pre-recorded messages!!

Asked for me by name, and when asked who was calling, she said "This is Jenny Stanley" and then disconnected. Caller ID said "Florida"

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
