How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Caller: This is Mariett from Risk Assest Management, looking for a person who filed #191-179-*** please call back regarding your Risk Assest Matter 1-888-999-2156.
I called back; No one answered. Second time, "Brian" said that This, Risk Assest Management is looking for a person "xyz" who I did not know or heard. So, I said "sorry" You have a wrong #.
It is freaking me out (I registered -DO NOT CALL LIST), because this could be their initial step to extract information out from innocent people; then, subsequently a series of scams.
Please tell me where I can go to report this. Thanks.
We also received a voice mail saying that they were looking for the person who was handling the affairs of a deceased relative, they gave their name and a "file #". Did not respond, sounds fishy.
Said that they were tryimg to find the family member handling the final affairs for the late (x fiance won't say name) and gave me a reference number. i did drink the coolaid and have spent te last 8 hours researching and had about 4 other people checking around to see if he was dead! Not cool. I called them and they wouldn't give me any info except his dob since very common name, so I still am not sure?

Left message: This is Risk Asset Management. Need to speak to the person handling the affairs of (deceased relative). Call 1-888-999-2156 and gave a file #. We didn't drink their kool-aid.
