Answered the phone and discovered it was just a bogus credit card scam pretending to be "Chase Bank." Sounded like the same scamers from the "Car Warranty" ruse.
They called for my parents, which weren't there at the time, (shhh! :D) and I said no. "Well, is there somebody who can make business decisions?" I said no, and please do not call again. "Well, would you be interested in new Chase cov-" I hung up. They didn't call again, or leave a message.... Hanging up is always good!
They never talk it just holds the line open. Found out it is Chase bank.
Idiots just called at 8:43pm and woke up my 7 year old child. I told them to put me on DO NOT CALL LIST and she claimed it would take 72 hours to comply
Called the number back, and went to an automated service saying it was Chase USA, and if I wanted to apply for one of their cards to hang up and dial another number, or to be removed from their call list follow the prompts and enter the number you want removed.
From Chase bank. I didn't give them time to go through their spill. I just told them I was on the do not call list and asked them not to call again. I don't have an account with them and I'm not going to do business with anyone that calls me like this.
Call any time day or evening and calling way to much!! Never leave a message and I am affiliated with chase.

bevare using skype. i did a test. gave a test number at sign-in for skype and after 5 minutes get a call from 888 858 9823 on the number I gave to skype. A coincidence? I don't think so.
When I told him the party he was calling wasn't here he asked if I do business purchasing.

This is Chase - if you no longer want them to call you, simply tell them you are not interested in their offer (if they prompt you about "is anyone there who makes business decisions?) tell them politely that you are not interested, and they should add you to their do not call list...give it 14-30 days to do it's work (for the request to be sent to all their call centers).
Chase called for my parents, said they weren't here (ofc they were...! silly goose) asking if they wanted some "promotional offer" and asked, "is there someone there who makes business decisions" lol....
I was like no thanks, please add me to your do not call list :) She gave the schpiel and said I may still receive calls within 14 days, but we'll see....
Im already on the national Do Not Call list, but since my parents have Chase/BankofAmerica cards - the DNC registry does not allow to them UNTIL we request to be removed from their call list.

As long as you do business with Chase/Bank One, they are allowed to contact you by phone...
Though you CAN request to be added to THEIR Do not call list but that's about all you can do...or just dont answer the phone.

I've read blog posts from users who actually called back the number on the caller ID (that would be (888) 858-9823) - and requested to only be called for fraud reports, and not be called for promotional offers.

Offering something from Chase since we are cardmembers. Could hardly understand her but I told her that we wanted to opt-out of any offers and services. She apologized and sounded like she would comply, who knows though. I will make a complaint if they call again.

They have been calling constantly. Finally my husband was here and they spoke with him for a few minutes. Anyway, he hung up on them when she asked him where he was born.

Thanks Tampa, I added my number to their do not call list, which they say takes upto 30 days (why so long since it is THEIR list!) and stay onto the end when you are prompted to press 2 or it it is not completed.

Called me at work. I told them we do not receive solicitations and they said ok and hung up. Frist time they have called hope it will be the last.

I blocked this number after the first couple of times they called, but according to my VOIP call logs online, they have been calling 11 or 12 times every day between 9AM and 1PM. Thank god for call blocking...
They called me at work, gave a name and then said .....

Same person all the time. It's Chase Bank trying to sell me a credit protection plan. I tell them I am not interested but they keep on calling. I have filed complains with donotcall.gov several times. I will continue to do so until they stop. I am sure eventually they will get fined big time.

They called my skype-in number. I've not had that number more than a couple of weeks. I have no idea how they could have gotten that number. Wierd. The call didn't quite come through either so I didn't talk to them.

Called me at 6:30pm as I am winding down with my family on a Friday evening. Then the guy proceeds to totally mis-pronounce my name. How many pronunciations are there for the name Russ? Then he tells me that they are calling me because I am one of their "valued" customers. However, I have never dealt with Chase or any of their affiliates before. Strike 3.
Calls from 888-858-9823 are from Chase U.S.A. They use this number when you are not answering calls from their regular calling number which is 302-282-3000. It's just a trick to get you to answer their phone call. If you have Caller ID then call their bluff and watch for these numbers on your digital display screen, and NEVER answer the phone.
If you are on the Do Not Call Registry, then make sure that you report every single call. In the past 3 weeks, I have gotten at least 30 calls from these bastards and I have no association with them whatsover. Sooner or later it will catch up with them and I hope they get fined big time!
