How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

return line is a 900#, return text signs you up for monthly charges.. Just delete msg!

Rcvd txt saying "to avoid interruption of your Verizon Wireless service please call 888-821-0284 or press the send key on your phone. This is a free text message." Too bad VZW normally puts "VZW_FREE_MSG" before their texts. Didn't call number because it looks like a scam.
The text message came from verizons automated system. I called the 888-821-0284 and it took me to the Verizon financial department.
This is a SCAM - do not hit send on your phone. You wil be billed every month and put money in the pockets of these scam artists. They're going to various sites and claiming it's legit. If there's ever a question CONTACT VERIZON DIRECTLY.
Received text message supposedly VW saying missed payment displayed # 900-070-002761, but when I checked missed calls displayed (Nevada) 702-685-3742, then I called the 702 number, it was a "disconnected number or no longer in service' message. Scammers 900 numbers are toll numbers.
It says to call that number or press send, but it shows the callback number being a 900 number. Scammer!

I received a text message on my cell phone (verizon is my provider) claiming to be from verizon wireless to call this number regarding my account. The number that sent me this text message was a 900 number (900-070-001654), so I think it's fraudulent.
