JAK productions is absolutely the most shady company i have ever worked for!
We call people basically pretending to be law enforcement to trick them into giving money, we don't say we are police but we
are not allowed to say we are not unless asked. we also commit multiple FTC violations on a daily basis.

Here is a script that we use:

as a paid solicitor with J.A.K. I'm going to send you the 200x CPPA decal that way you can show your great support to the officers.

the donation levels are the gold at 45 the silver is 35 and the bronze is 25 this year.
I will go ahead and put you down for the 35 unless you want to reach up and touch the gold or silver this year, does the 35 sound fair enough to you?

I kept getting these calls so I picked up and I thought maybe I should give to the state troupers - I mean they do a great job, right? so I said sure and then they transfer you to a police office, they say, who then asks you for more money than you said you'd give at first and he sounded a little strange to me. He was like "can't you afford to give just 5, 10 or 20 dollars more" and " the state troupers risk their lives for your benefit" and they do but I was afraid because of the way he sounded that they would do something to me if I said no - they know where you live, they know what kind of car you drive, etc.. anyway I would not give my credit card over the phone so they mailed me an envelope. I was all set to mail it off tomorrow but now I am tearing up the check and envelope. It all seemed too fishy to begin with and most importantly - THEY KEEP CALLING, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I feel sorry for the State Troupers. They probably need out help but this has got to be a scam since they keep calling and at all hours. Don't fall prey like I did - JUST DO NOT PICKUP THE PHONE IF IT SAYS UNAVAILABLE OR PRIVATE NUMBER. PERIOD.

I have received everyday twice to four calls from " unknown caller" . They never record message but they remain calling every day. What to do???

888-815-0011 just called. I don't answer the phone with an hello when it comes to unknown callers... If they don't speak & I don't recognize the voice I hang up immediately.

It is a legitimate organization authorized to raise funds for the FOP. However, once they have your number, they generally will not stop calling, regardless of your requests. Too bad. Now I don't want to donate anymore.

Just noticed the several comments above me are also in Virginia like me. Very odd. Although, I have had one of these scam "Police Assoc." fundraiser places call for Virginia State Troopers in the past. Same thing w/ Colorado -- they keep almost all of the money they collect. I wonder if it's the same company trying to "collect" for more than one state. You'd be better off giving directly to a state troopers assoc or Fraternal Order of Police.

I'm in VA, too & got a call from this # this am...8:15 am!...did not answer as CI said name "not provided". No message left. I'm on the Do Not Call list as well.

I'm in Va also. They did not say they were from Colorado. Just fund raising for Police.

I receive multiple calls in one morning. I did not answer, and so it seems they keep trying!

They have been calling non stop for weeks now. They finally called while I was here (in VA Kim) I told them I was unable to donate and they still keep calling. I just used the email sky provided to get out of the data base. Hope it helps.

Ditto what Tom said. Unheard-of outfits like this typically keep most of the money they raise. It is basically a scam. I am on the Do Not Call list but they exploit the loophole.
