How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

called me 3 times in the past 3 days on my cell. latest was 5:14p on 12/28/06. didn't pick up. blatantly aggressive so don't let them know they are getting through.
Same with me--called me twice in one day without leaving a message. i have not called back. but i am a student with loans.

when i picked up the phone at 7:14 i just heard some background talking --a woman's voice. these people are beginning to piss me off.
They just keep calling.
I am having the same experience. These people started calling me in October, I kindly asked them not to call again, then in the begining of November I recieved 5 calls from them, and asked them to stop calling, and today I have recieved 2 more calls!
Do not answer, this is a telemarketer that will constantly call and if you do not want to talk to them they are VERY RUDE, they will call about 5 times then leave you alone for a couple of days then call 5 times in a row again
this number is RIDULOUS. they have called my cell phone no less than 10 times this week. they are obnoxious and they ask me about consolidating my loans. I expressed my disinterest, but they keep calling. DO NOT pick up this number.
After looking at the comments I would guess it probably is a student loan company. I just started law school and right before I started I recieved a strange call from some lady with a thick accent who asked me if I was in school.
Received the call some lady said something about scholarship express or something. I said it was not a good time...would not leave me alone. She THEN was asking me WHY it wasnt a good time. REALLY WEIRD..dont answer!!
I picked it up and it was a woman speaking with a Hispanic accent and the background was very noisy so I guess a tela marketer, she was telling me that i had a federal loan (which I don't)and she was trying to get me to sign on for a better rate. She said that she got my name and number from a federal loan list... I think this is a lie b/c I don't have loan. And she would not tell me where she was, but she did say that she was working for something called scholastic funding aid (can't remember exactly) and that the headquarters were in New Jersey. She would not stop trying to tell me about a better rate I could be getting even though I told her I did have a loan so I didn't need it, she also kept on repeating that this call was not costing me anything... I think that it was weird.
