They keeps calling and speeching to us about charrity.

They call a few times a day for the past couple of months. They are tying up my phone for "wanted" calls. Just found out the calls are from a Lupus Charity??? Well all good but I still don't want the calls. I donate my clothes to Goodwill. P.S. I called them back, no one ever answers. Please can someone have them take me off their list?

Calling Homeland Sercurity - How dumb are you? It is Lupus. We Donate to them and they are checking to see if they should waste the time and gas to pick up some of your clothing or anything you can donate. Many don't know some of your donations go to stores like Unique where they sell what you donated backto the public. I'd assume they pay the people that work there practically nothing and then turn any profit back to Lupus. Yes we all hate these calls from any blood suckers, Con artists... But really you may understand if someone in your family has Lupus and needs the charity. Go back to your I pods, big screen TV's, and life. Honestly screen it and don't answer it is that easy or what?

Calling Homeland Security to have LFA Pickup Service put on the Terrorist list.

It tries to pick up used clothing. Is it a charity? Can't be legitimate if it doesn't identify itself.

Just called LFP in DC in middle of day and after recorded message, pressed "0" for Operator only to be brought back into original recording! The incessant calls are being made by a 3rd party but the fact that LFP itself doesn't answer the phone is alarming.

Answered call. Only noise in background. No response from caller. Hung up. Caller not previously known.

if it is from lupus why isnt that in the caller id. i smell a scammer or a collection agency. especially with unavailable id.

Many years ago I made a donation to Lupus Foundation of America. They have been phoning me ever since. I NEVER donate to any charity that invades my home via telephone!

I am so beyond sick and tired of calls from this number at least three times a week. I appreciate the fact that need need money and/or donations but so does every other charity in this country. Sunday calls are off limit in my book. I will be calling them tomorrow. I suggest anyone with free long distance phone service do the same.

I completely agree with the assessment of "EqualEqual" (scroll down.) I think we all ought to call the Lupus Foundation headquarters to report/complain about these incessant, annoying calls. They certainly don't make me want to give anything; I'd rather give things from my household to the Salvation Army. They are way more gracious.

LFA Pickup Ssrvice 888-445-8787 has called me a million times. It is so annoying. When someone doesn't answer doesn't that tell you they don't want to talk to you?

These people call several times a day and are driving me nuts!

Many calls from this number. When I answer, they just hang up. I called it back, and asked to be taken off their call list. They said it would take three days to do so. In the intervening two days I have received several calls from the number. I will not be donating to their cause.

I only started getting these calls after I scheduled a pick up of old clothes and household items after receiving the Lupus Foundation bags in the mail. I had never done that before so thought I'd give it a try since I really needed to clean out. I had 8-9 huge bags on my front porch the morning of my scheduled pick up, and when I got home from work they were all gone with a receipt left for me. I have to say, this was MUCH better than hauling it to a thrift shop or donation bin. If you want to clean out and do something good at the same time, give it a try. Then just don't answer the phone!

Caller ID said LFA Pickup Serv. I thought there was a marginal chance it could be legit, but they hung up as soon as I answered, so I know it's somebody wanting money or trying to sell me something or scam me out of something. I won't answer if they call back

The "pick up" they speak of is an at-your-door pick up of discarded clothing, etc. for their thrift shop. It should have been preceded by a donation bag delivered to your house by the post office. Several charities in the Washington DC area have recently moved to this method of solicitation of donations now that most of us have blocked their random phone calling. But now, it seems, they have returned to calling as follow up.

I have received frequent & numerous phone calls from this number.
Yes, Lupus foundation is legitimate charity. They have 37 chapters, I phoned their national headquarters in Washington, DC (202-349-1155) and spoke with one of their officials, Tony Edwards. A few days later I did receive a letter (USPS) stating that they had removed my name from their database and were "distressed to hear of your dissatisfaction with the Lupus Foundation" pickup service.

Still, even though legal, I do not commend their American style forced feeding of phone calls or any similar harassment from a fictitious person (legal term for corporation) !

I have to say that I have been getting these calls about 2-3 times a day sometimes and didn't pick up.
Eventually curiosity got the better hand and i picked up only to get a hang up the other end. I really think this looks a little shady .

If it is some Lupus fundraiser, why don't they want their name to show up on caller ID?
Anyway, I will never answer a call from "UNAVAILABLE."

Caller ID said "LFA Pickup Service" Assuming it might be something legitimate, I answered and got: "Hello, my name is Raymond and I'm a professional fundraiser for....". Me (interrupting)"We are sooooo not interested". I hung up before he said anything else. I think that "Pickup Service" is just designed to make people answer the phone, thinking it is about a package delivery. I won't fall for that again.

I just called them back and spoke to "Lea". I asked her to take me off the list and she kindly said she would....we shall see.

Answered call from this number, said they were from Lupus Foundation. I told the caller that I am on the DNC
list. The caller said they are a charitable organization. I told him I did not care what group he was calling
from, and not to call my number any more. I'm sure they will call again soon.

this number called me april 13 @ noon. hung up on me.

Exceedingly irritating - phone keeps ringing and no one is there. When I hang up they just call right back.

Caller ID forged to look like it is a package deliver service when in reality they are calling for donatations.

Caller ID is 'LFA Pickup Service' and they call 1-3X daily into evening, pretty disruptive. Reading comment about 'Lupis' puts this into possible clothing donation pick-up drive.

These people call on average of once each week, never leaving a message, if you answer, the other side hangs up. Not a charity I would support for that reason alone.

I called them back and they answered "lupus pick up center"
I've been getting a lot of calls from Lupus requesting donations so it makes sense
However, I had asked to be put on their no call list. Guess that didn't work
