How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

If the bot starts with "To accept, press one, to leave a voice mail, press 2" in a female voice, then it's software from Latitude Software, an Interactive Intelligence company. Based in Florida.
There's an outfit in Aurora, CO named "Virtuoso Sourcing". Incorporated in Florida. They are a debt collection agency (for Sprint) and have been hitting my number with the same "To accept, press one..." robo calls. They've harassed me since early 2010 with robocalls for a person name Daniel Corillo. I finally was able to speak with a Matt Pendergast at Virtuoso--when I finally said I was not Daniel Corillo, he started screaming into the phone and then hung up. Slimeball.
I would not be surprised to learn that the calls from 888-335-6963 and "Virtuoso Sourcing" are related.
Just a hunch.
I received a call, I was out of service. They left a voicemail saying I had an alert put on my account from some Chienese name. The call back number was 1-888-335-6963. I called the Sprint number on my phone, no unusual activity. I asked them about this number, they don't know what it is. My account is paid and up to date.
This is a scam to get information about you and your address and phone, probably for marketing purposes.
I got a call from this number today on my work number. with a similar message below about an alert being placed on my account. I also got a call from this yesterday.
After reading the messages below I checked my account online and realized I forgot to schedule a payment! It had been over 30 days due. This doesn't ever happen to me. I just scheduled the payment to go through tomorrow so hopefully the calls will stop.
Suprised it's a strange automated message.
Said they were "Sprint" and service would be discontinued within 48 hours unless I paid, no amount due mentioned. Then push number to hold to get credit card or check book. They said their number was 1-888-335-6963, caller ID said number is 301-761-4417. Best of all I do not have Sprint service. I think this is a way to get information for ID theft.
I am a subscriber, but have never gotten a vmail like this one from Sprint. Checking my account now...
Oppsps! I'm almost 2 months past due on my bill! ...thankfully I've been loyal for years and have excellent credit with them.
Just paid past, present and future bills all at once. Seems like a legit reminder.
called my husband's cell phone and said i had called sprint and put a service alert on his phone. may be a scam
They call several times a day and ask for a person with a name that is not understandable. I tried to speak to a person and was disconnected. I called Sprint and they could not help me.
Automated voice asked to speak to Mr. David Tobias about the Sprint wireless account ending in ... (Nothing is said after this.) The only options are:
If you are David Tobias, please press 1.
If you can get David Tobias to the phone, please press 2.
If you know David Tobias and can take a message, please press 3.
I never keyed in any number. After not detecting a number, the above options were read again. After nothing from me again, the voice asked Mr. David Tobias to call the number back within 15 minutes. No way am I calling to even let them know he doesn't live here.
