From now on the only ones I will deal with regarding my accounts are my sprint Rep. Anyone else claiming to be from Sprint -- even if they legitimatly are -- I just say I am not authorized to give out any information and to contact either one of my Reps who will then relay any information that they might have. Won't give them my reps number. If they really are Sprint and not some 3rd party they will know how to get in touch with them.

A couple days later I get a call from my Sprint Rep asking why I had taken out four new lines of Service on the 11th. Told him about the call from Sprint Customer Care and gave him my notes I had on my conversation with Alonzo and he said he would look into it.
Turns out it wasn't Sprint customer Care but some 3rd party under contract w/Sprint called New Tech. Fortunatly my Sprint Reps (I've got two fantastic reps!!) were able to get those new lines dropped and make arrangements to return the "free" cards at no further cost to me.
Needless to say, I am very upset with Sprint. Not my Reps as they have come through for me time and time again getting me the best deals possible. I am upset with those at Sprint who reside in that rarified atmosphere (upper managemetn) who let their organization affiliate themselves with such outfits. I intend to let those powers that be know how dissatisfied I am with the way they do business and further put them on notice that any trust I had in their ethics and integrity has been severly compromised and if it weren't for my reps going the extra mile for me by first noticing the irregularity and calling me, then by doing whatever they had to to get me out of this mess I would have pulled all my accounts and be with Alltel right now.
My troubles w/this outfit began 5/11/07. I manage all our Sprint accounts at the facility I work at - PCS Cards, Smartphones, cell phones. Got a call from a guy named Alonzo saying he was with Sprint Customer Care. Without any prompting from me he was able to give me very detailed information about all our accounts, the PCS cards in particular.
He said that since all our accounts were in good standing we were eligible for a FREE upgrade from out Merlin 620's to the Pantech PX-500. I asked him numerous times during this conversation what the cost would be to me; i.e. do I have to extend the contracts, do I have to take on new lines of seervice, are these direct upgrades to the existing lines, etc., and throughout he repeatedly stated that no, I had to do nothing on my part except pay a totla of $12.00 for shipping. I thought that this was a good deal, I could upgrade the existing cards to the latest software and the most up-to-date tower information all for just $12.00. (SEE NEXT POST)

Have been getting several calls on my cell phone. Picked up once, no response. Called back, infinite hold. This should be reported to the FCC
3 time a week callers. I just dont usually answer unknown callers.
Every day I get a call from that number. No one answers, and when I do not pick up, no message is left.
This # calls at least 2 times a day for the past 2 weeks or so. The 1st time they tried to give me a free cell phone...the rest of the times the line just hangs without anybody speaking. When I call this # it just rings twice, then with no background noise for approx 2min, it disconnects. STOP CALLING ME!!!

Recieved several calls on my cell for the past 10 days between 9-1, sometimes it only rings once. The two times I've answered there was no response. When I tried to call back, I was put on hold by an automated system for 5 minutes. I contacted Sprint and it is not them, but could be someone posing as a Sprint dealer. They suggested complaining to Sprint customer service e-mail and if enought peope complain, then maybe they'll be more proactive.
I'm getting annoyed with the calls that I'm getting from this number. More annoying is that they call at the middle of the night and disturb my sleep.

They have been calling for the last few days, finally called it back, and got a real person after a minute. I said this number keeps calling me and I dont know why, her answer was the "auto-dailing machine is broke".

Finally told that they put a note in my account not to be called again. As I was getting off the phone, she asked me if I wanted to ADD AN ADDITIONAL LINE TODAY... which is what the dumb number I was calling about asked in the first place. I said -- are you really serious right now?!??!?!

Sprint was supposed to remove it within 30 days from my request to add it to their do-not-call list. I requested that on 02/23, so it has been 25-26 days.
Called them back and they advised that it was them and it was a 3rd party corp they hired. They cancelled the contract and they're still calling with autodialers. Sp/Nex rep said Do not pick up phone when it calls.

I got a call from this number today. I wasnt able to answer. I called the number back twice. The first time I could hear noise in the back ground but no one would talk. The second time it only rang once and then it was dead quiet.
I call them back 10 times for every time I get a call from them. They will answer if you wait long enough. I ask them a bunch of dumb questions and string them along for a while then hang up. Its fun, everyone should do it.

I get a call on my cell phone from this number at least once a day. This morning I called the number back and asked them to take the number off their list. They said they would. 2 hours later I got ANOTHER call from them. I called back and asked what company they were. The rep said "Sprint together with Nextel" (which is Sprint's motto these days). I told them I had already asked them to take the number off. The rep apologized for the inconvenience and said the number would be removed. It better be.
They tried to call me twice today so far, and i was unable to answer the phone. I was in a meeting with our city mayor at the time!

Sprint is looking at getting taken off our corporate account if they continue with this harassment.
Sprint marketing. Been getting 2-3 calls a day for several weeks but I just ignored them. Then yesterday they woke me up at 7:00 AM and then again at 8:00 AM. I called Sprint and had them remove me from their marketing calls. The rep was nice and did it right away. She then tried to keep me on the phone with more sprint offers. They just don't give up.

I've been getting calls from this number that wake me up every morning for over a week now. They don't leave a message and the one time I answered no one talked to me. I tried to call them back to have them remove me from their list and they did not identify what company they were from, just had an automated system that told me to hold for the next representative. After holding for several minutes, I hung up. After looking it up online, I called Sprint, since I read that it was one of their companies, and they told me they disabled the number from their end...we'll see if it works. I'm already on the no call list, so you'd think I wouldn't have had to worry about it in the first place.

The *2 Sprint representative confirmed that this number is the Sprint Marketing department. Additionally, they claim that the number does not count against minutes. She then had me put on a "do not call" list, but that may take 30 days to activate. Note that national "do not call lists" do not apply to this if you have done business with sprint.
In short, call *2 and ask them to put you on the do not call list, and specifically mention that number. Keith.

This is definitely a Sprint subcontracted firm. I called Sprint and told them to stop all solicitation calls and they said it can take up to 30 days to stop and just to tell the caller the same thing if they call back which I did and they told me it would take them another 30 days to stop call and that I should just ignore any further calls which is what I was doing in the first place!!!!

They called on the house phone(we have Vonage service through a Comcast cable modem. I let the answering machine get it, but they didn't leave a message. Literally 30 seconds later, they called my cell phone. I thought this was fishy, so I searched the internet and found this site.

After seeing this, I checked my calling log. 888-281-9351 has been calling me every couple of days. I called them and told them to remove my number from their lists. The Nextel Operator was very courteous and said she would remove my number from their calling list.
recd call from this #, I did not answer as possible scam. Tried to call that # later and phone just rang, no answer. My # is on the natl do not call list. If this persists, the # will be reported to proper authorities.
I got a call from this number today with no one on the other end, and a busy signal when I tried to call back. I've told Sprint PCS in the past that I don't want them calling me. I called Sprint just now, and the representative confirmed that there were notes on the account when I called on August 24 and September 22 that I had said I don't want to receive any calls from them ever, but they still called me. He said there was some "disable calls" checkbox that was not checked on my account, so he checked that. I told him to add one more note that if I ever receive another solicitation call from Sprint, I'm switching to Cingular.

I remember getting these calls a couple years ago as I was nearing the end of my contract. Now my contract is going to end in less than 6 mos., and I'm starting to get these calls again VERY often. Not sure if this is the case of anyone else, but I believe they have some sort of automated system to hook people in on deals as their contract is nearing end.
Received a call from 888-281-9351 recently. First time I've ever received a call from this #. I answered; no one was there. I called back and got the message "would be handled by the next available agent". While holding, I found this page and after reading a few posts, I hung up.
I don't have time to waste and if they call again, they're in for a surprise. I'll use the resources at my disposal to find those responsible and when we've concluded our "business", they'll be lucky if they're still capable of using a telephone.

The comment from "Rocky O" is very useful. I just spoke with Sprint and it only took 20 minutes to get a supervisor to promise to remove my number from their call list.
Called me at 10:42 Eastern on 10/18/2006 with no info other than number. When I tried to call back, I got a message that my call "would be handled by the next available agent". After 5 minutes of *very* quiet muzak, the call was disconnected (not by me). I tried again and there was no action for five minutes, so I hung up.
I've received about 3 calls in a span of 2 weeks from 888-281-9351. I didn't answer and they never leave a message. I dialed *2 and asked to be removed from there calling list.
Sprint gave me instructions but they said it only pertains to sprint/nextel. They said to send an email to officeofprivacy@sprint.com and include the phone number of the caller and to say that you do not wish to receive promotional calls and to remove you from their third party vender lists.

Just dial 611 from your cell ask for customer service. Then ask to be removed from the calling list. Let them know it is "you fill in the blank" just call and register your complaint. When they call you on your cell to sell you something on your dime/mins. Ranting here will not fix your problem.
I called the number back and reached a Sprint Rep - after hanging on hold for ever. She said they are offering a free phone for adding a line or a free set up for adding a laptop device.
Called back the number since the call was missed. No one answered and i was on hold for a while. Gave up and hung up.

email them with your # to stop calling you.. after about 30 days they finally will.. They use to call me 8x a week, everytime I'd send them to VM and they never left messages..

They call my phone on everyday at 8:35 a.m and 9:15 a.m. My postal code is 48374. The caller Id shows the number.

I know sprint do not have razor phones. He also knows about Sprint special offers and phone deals. Told him I will check. I do not know how he got my number. A SCAM artist????
Been called 1x/day for past two weeks. Called back and was immediately automatically put on hold. After about 5 mins a woman answered, said she was with Sprint/Nextel, and did not ask for my SSN. I explained that I've been called several times. She said that it is an automatic calling system which has been dialing my number. She offered me the two special offers: (1) Laptop wireless access card; (2) Extra flip-phone w/ free activation. I declined both and asked if the system would stop calling me; she said yes. Never asked for my SSN but did ask for my mobile number to confirm. Was able to tell me my name based on the number; don't know if they're able to use an online directory to do that, though.... We'll see if they continue to call back.

I have received calls from this number several times in the last week.
I called sprint customer service *2 and talked to Tracy. She asked me to call the national do not call list number. After taken several minutes to explain these calls are from sprint she dialed the number and a sprint telemarking girl came on the line. The telemarking rep asked for my name and phone number but I only gave my number and asked to be removed from their list. She mentioned my name and I said that is correct. I was told they have a computer system that makes these automated calls and I would be removed from their list.
The Sprint customer service girl stayed on the line during the call.
Hopefully they will stop this practice.

I waited on hold for well over half an hour, all the while tying up this representative's phone line. She could not take any other phone calls as long as I was on hold.
Eventually, a supervisor (named Freddie) (or someone portraying one) came on the line and immediately told me that my account had been taken off the solicitation list, and that I would be receiving NO further phone calls (or mailings) from Sprint/Nextel affiliates.
By this statement alone, he acknowledged that this was indeed a Sprint/Nextel affiliate, and that these calls COULD be stopped. But only a Supervisor could do it.
If you recieve phone calls from (888)-281-9351, call Sprint Customer service and DEMAND that they take you off their call list.
It will take time, and you must speak to a Supervisor, but they CAN do it.
Call from your Sprint phone. It will tie up their Customer Service lines, and they can't hang up on you. It looks like a dropped call on their reports and managers really hate that.
If enough people call and complain, then they will eventually get the message and stop these annoying phone calls.

A call nearly every day this week; one last week. I did not recognize the number, and it was an '888', even though the '281' prefix may trick people into thinking it's from a local area code.

I get a phone call from this phone number atleast 2-3 times per month. I never answer it, however I usually call it back to see who it was, as there is no name on the caller ID. It is always Sprint.

Was called several times, never answered. I finally called them back, found out it's a private company with some sort of Sprint/Nextel contract to market extra (i.e. unneeded!) services. Spoke to a manager named Ellis who said he'd remove my name from the call list.
Based on the rep and Ellis, I'd say it's a West Indies-based call center. Massive waste of time and negative goodwill for S/N in my humble blah blah blah

888-281-9351 called me this morning 06/30/06 at 10:44 am and I missed the call. It showed up as the number for missed call and they left no voice mail. Just a few minutes ago at 11:22 am a call under the name 'Private' called, I ignored it. I'm suspicious that it was the same number. I'm just going to keep ignoring them unless it gets out of hand.
