Our residential line received 5x consecutive evening calls (10pm-1130pm) in the same week, from #1 888 238 4817.
Telemarketers are all Filipinas who claim that OUR PHONE# HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR SPECIAL PROMO DISCOUNT ON CANCUN MEXICO TRAVEL PACKAGE(NO AIRFARE, JUST HOTEL & ACCOMMODATION). Asked how they got our #, they simply said we were REFERRED BY OUR CREDITCARD & TOP AIRLINES THAT WE CURRENTLY USED.
My husband was the 1st to answer politely. Apparently, he seemed "too nice" for the agents. A female agent transfers the call to her aggressive "supervisor" Ms. ALEX WAYNE(Who knows if these crook people use FAKE NAMES/ALIAS!) They were "V PERSISTENT" & since my husband couldn't just hung up he passed phone to me to deal with the ladies.
I simply said, "U can give us your phone# & we will contact U if we're interested." I asked for the name which they hesitantly gave. Next eve, again a lady telemarketer asked "TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND". When I told her WE WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL "IF" we're INTERESTED--she confidently said==> "YOUR HUSBAND ASKED US TO CALL BACK." To which I replied "I DONT THINK SO BECAUSE I WAS THE LAST ONE TO SPEAK TO U LADIES JUST LAST NIGHT." Then she hangup.
Again the following nite, I answered&there was silence. I think they recognize my voice, as the fiery wife and they just hangup but I'm v sure it's them because of the same NOISY BACKGROUND. Few hours later again we were about to sleep (1030+PM) a crazy woman named RUBY Morales called to speak to my husband-AGAIN. (Kind of like "HOOKERS" trying their luck to sell their "WOMANHOOD" to MY HUSBAND!)
I raised my voice and asked them back "DO U KNOW WAT TIME IT IS!" to which they simply replied in a condescending way "OwwwwKaaayy, ByeBye".
I am beginning to wonder how they got our # because it's a newly acquired line (over a month old) and so far we've only given our # to Canada government bodies and NONE to friends yet.
Could it be that our telcomm provider sell our # to these telemarketing companies? Very mysterious how these crooks collect phone#s.
ANYWAY, BEWARE. Once U entertain their call or simply by being POLITE THE 1ST TIME U talk to them--THEY'LL HUNT U CONTINUOUSLY everyday, EVERY NITE just before BEDTIME! To wives out there, get a hold of ur phone==>THESE CANCUN/SUNSET GRP TELEMARKETERS are like PROFESSIONAL HOOKERS, aggresively selling their stale charms of "womanhood" and FLIRT their way to your husbands!
BEWARE! REPORT TO POLICE JUST LIKE WHAT I DID and report them to any DO NOT CALL LIST in your country so that the individuals & the corporation itself will be fined a penalty of $15,000 if they still insist to call.

This number 1-888-238-4817 targets Filipinos abroad giving away free or discount vacations. They would mention they are from Cancun, Mexico or Texas. Same scam, different numbers, so beware. Last time, it was a different number who called me, I managed to get their head office address in Texas, I googled map it and found some old factory in Texas. All you people who like free or big discounts, beware!!!!
they asked for my wife by her name and when i said she wasnt there they hung up,very noisy background.scam for sure.i am positive they are calling from the philipinnes they called at 11:30 pm eastern time.
they called form a different number last night, told them not to call back, they did anyways, 4 more times, we blocked that number and today they called from this number. unbelievable!!!
This number is a scam! A certain lady by the name nancy who claims to be working for a travel agency called me....she called a dozen times even though I told her that I'm not interested with the offer...she was really insistent and wont take a no for an answer...finally she hanged up on me after trying to sound soooooooo nice at first.....Please beware
