How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).

crazy! Keep calling each three days and leaving messages to my brother. The funny thing is my brother was just 20 yrs-old. How could he get the debt??? I hope someone could give me the number to report this company!

They call my daughter, who has no unpaid debts. They use a recorded message. They ask for her social security. this is a scam. These people harass and absorb people's time.
I am first following up with the California State Attorney General's office. If this is of no avail i will secure the assitance of the fearsome Woffords, who also collect debts and straighten out these matters unconventionally.
These calls will cease by September 30.

Called my office. Recorded message for a former employee, from West Asset Management. I was on hold for a long time and then the recording said the mailbox was full and couldn't take the message, goodbye!
They keep calling and leaving a message. I called and was told my number was not in their system. Once I could see a message being left inadvertantly. But 8 messages over 5 days is no longer a coincidence. A "manager" stated he would pass it on to the IT guy. We shall see. I wish we could bill these places.
I found free letters on adviceontime.com that you can mail to this a@@holes to get them to stop calling you. They also have an article on how to deal with them. Fight back, they have to respect your legal rights.
They have been calling my cell phone every day for 2 weeks, every 11 minutes. The caller-id says 703-656-9948. They leave a message saying to call them at 888-220-8346. I called and they requested my home phone number. I entered my cell number (I figured they already have it - they have been calling it for days), and then they asked for the last 4 digits of my Social Security number. I didn't respond and it eventually transferred me to a recording that told me to call back between 8am and 5pm. I called at 10am, which falls between these hours in my time zone (they didn't specify a time zone). I don't have any debt and it is very irritating to have them calling my cell constantly. I called the 703-656-9948 number and got no answer.
I have no debt. They've called me three times in four days. Each time it is from an unknown caller, and is an automated message. They request your home phone number, at which point I hung up.
Called me 3 times and I am on a do not call list. I owe no one and the real trick is they ask you for your home phone (call was to cell) and your social security number, etc. The number they call from is blocked so you can't call them directly. Very irritating and I don't have any debt. I can imagine how distressing it might be if you really do owe someone money.
