I answered instead of letting it go to the answering machine. No voice, not even background noise or a robocall. Still don't know who called.

I told AT&T if they called me 1 more time i was cancelling my phone with them and going to WOW. See how that works out

does not leave message on machine. Calls almost daily. I do not answer calls from unknowns or numbers I do not know.
Guess I need to get a whistle and change my tactics.

Received numerous calls from this company. 3/3/09 at 2:45pm, 3/6 at 5:00pm, 3/11 at 3:35pm, 3/13 at 12:55pm, 3/16 at 5:36pm, 3/18 at 1:57pm, and 3/19 at 2:48pm. Name on Caller ID "877 Services". It feels like we are being harrassed by this company since our telephone number is unlisted. We also wonder WHY the company won't identify itself on caller ID.

When I told them I wasn't interested last time, I hoped I had gotten rid of them.

I guess it's time to test my carbon monoxide detector into the receiver when they call.

I do not want to receive calls from this number whether it is ATT or any other caller who uses this tactic... Ring twice and then total silence...This accurs daily and forever...What is the effect on the receipient...Well if its your family member it gets to their nervous point and they start to think that a pervert or a phone bug is loose.

I thought companies had to display their names on caller ID.

This number is from AT&T wanting to sell their high speed DSL service.

I have received calls from this number daily for perhaps the last 6 months. I simply don't answer.

Since this was their third attempt in 3 days, I decided to answer and see what they were selling.

It's AT&T selling their fiber optic-based Uverse bundled products.

I told them I was happy with what I had, and hung up.

Let's hope that's the end of it.

I read a lot of the messages about this number from people who believed that being on the Do Not Call list would protect them from this call.

If you do business with AT&T (for example, if you have a phone), then, by default, they have your permission to telemarket you.

To get them to stop, you need to ask them to take you off of THEIR list.

If that doesn't work, find an annoying way to answer the calls. If you're annoying enough, they'll stop.

I got a call from this number and it was no one on the other end.

Rings several times a day and nobody on the other end when we answeer the call

I pay AT&T extra each month for the ability to screen calls via their caller-id service. Using today as an example, I have received 12 calls, starting at 1:45pm and ending (so far!)at 8:04pm, roughly averaging 1 call every 30-45 minutes. Using a somewhat-twisted thread of logic (basically following AT&T's example, from what I can see), this is what I come up with: (A)I pay them monthly for caller-id to find out who is mercilessly calling me. (B)They mercilessly call me. (C)I find out it is them mercilessly calling me. Obvious conclusion is that (D)They must have an available monthly plan I can subscribe to, paying them each month to NOT mercilessly call me. With them, it is all about the money, down to the tenth of a penny (why else would they have discontinued their free time-service in the recent past - remember being able to dial p-o-p-c-o-r-n to get the time? well, no more!), so maybe, if everyone pitched in a few extra bucks each month, Ma Bell's greed would be (temporarily) assuaged. That is, until corporate personnel decide to upgrade their personal vehicles from Rolls Royces to Lamborghinis!!!

This was probably at least the 6th call in a few days, if not at least the 9th to 10th call.
All the other calls I did not pick up. Nothing left on answering machine.
This time I didn't have my glasses on and picked up the phone.
AT&T...Didn't let the person get into the sales pitch. I informed them we have been and are currently on the do not call list. He continued trying to get the pitch in. I reminded him again.
Then he said he would go ahead and include our # on it.
I said that was rude as we are already on the list. I hung up.
A little later our other phone line rang. This is a dedicated fax and lifeline phone line. I do not have a caller ID on it. I just let it ring and the fax attempt to pick up.

I have received several calls from this number over the past few days. When I answer, the "caller" immediately hangs up.

Relentless repeated calls from 877-871-9585 every single day for weeks on end now. I finally called the number and got AT&T customer service and asked them to be placed on the AT&T do not call list. She said she had JUST gotten a caller before me complaining about the same exact number. Sounds to me like an automated call center run amuck!! Unplug that computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number, but no message was left on the answering machine. Reported as a violation of the DNCL.

Keep getting calls from this number and just don't answer. If it is AT&T then they are "allowed" to call its customers since you already do business with them. Bah! What an annoyance!

Some guy asked for me by name. I told him that I was called a few days ago by AT&T, and I told them to take my name off the list. I was not pleased that they did not do so, and I chewed out the caller...too bad for him.

Female voice said she was calling in behalf of AT&T. I didn't believe her..told her to cut the crap...don't call me again, and I hung up.

Call the Call Annoyance Bureau (800-348-8727)--when I did the calls changed to a different number. I also reported it to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357, under annoying/harrasing phone calls prompt. Good luck! I am also on the donotcall list.

It's AT&T calling to sell you the 'UVERSE' package...you know, digital TV. It's from INDIA, and I ripped her a new one for calling me 4 times a day for three weeks. AT&T is just plain RUDE AND INSENSITIVE! Here is a tip guys.. home-and-office-phone-depot.com order Caller ID Manager and the remotes....no more shit from anyone, anytime for any reason. The phone is not supposed to be for harassment! FUCK THEM GOOD with "Caller ID Manager".

It's AT&T! They just called, I called back, had to wait, then I was told by a recorded message that they were currently closed and to call back! These fucker's are unbelievable! They call two to three times a day and NEVER leave a message!

I AM SO SICK OF AT&T! I get calls from this F**** number 3 times per day minimum! Never anybody there. I have called them twice to get my number removed and they either have put me on hold forever or told me they need a code from my bill to take the number off of the calling list. BULLSHIT! Answered - no one on the phone, perhaps a computer generated call?

This number calls every single day, often multiple times in a day. A voice message is never left, however it it does leave a long obnoxious sound that fills up my answering machine. Until reading here, I didn't know it was AT&T because a name never displays, only the number. I am on the do not call list and have filed a complaint with them. I am also filing a complaint with AT&T Corporate, though I doubt it will do anything. (corp.att.com)

Buried in at&t's website is a page that includes phone numbers to call if you want to opt out of at&t marketing calls even though you may be a subscriber to at&t. (we just returned to at&t.) fastest way to get to that list of numbers is to cut and paste following into internet address line of your computer and hit enter. (The list covers only a few states, but includes California, my state. It includes business hours to call, which I plan to do. I hope this works.) att.com

They call regularly, and actually do say something into our answering machine - our name, like "Richard? Richard, you there?" and then hang up. Like they're trying to get us to pick up. Sneaky bastards

What Can You Do to Assist in Our Investigation?

Most voicemail services only store messages for a few days or weeks. As a result, record the message in another place so that you have it. Save your phone bills which show when the call or text was received. Keep all evidence of the harassing calls or text messages.

ALways call don't leave a message

After 12 missed calls in one day from this number and 3 additional calls the next day before noon with no messages, I decided to answer. It took about 20 seconds for them to respond but then they said it was AT&T and they wanted to know how my new phone service was and how my internet access was. I dont even have internet from AT&T. Anyways let see if the calls will finally stop !

It's AT&T customer service. Not sure why they've been calling me. I called the number back and spoke to a rep, said he had no notes as to why I was being called, said he'd make a note to make sure I'm not called by them unless it's important (no special offers and crap).

I have been called numerous times from this number and no one ever speaks. It is creeping me out. Seriously.

The calls are from AT&T, trying to sell an Internet/TV package. Calls have been coming twice a day (once at 1:00 am), very annoying. I called AT&T customer service (1-800-288-2020) and the customer service rep said all AT&T sales calls would be blocked. Well, that never happened. Calls are still coming. Very frustrating. I use AT&T for my land line but will NEVER use them for internet or TV connection.

This number has called 2-3 times a day for the past month! I never pick up, and they never leave a message. Last month the caller ID said "unknown name", but now it says "877 services". I am on the Do Not Call registry, and I am not able to block this number. I work from home and the constant ringing is a real pain.

Our phone service is through At & T but we did not order any new service and are on the national "Do Not call List" My partner answered the call and the person on the end claimed to be from AT& T claiming we had ordered fiber optics.We had not and the call was disconnected.

I don't answer the phone when it rings if caller ID reports it as "unknown," but I got tired of constantly seeing this number pop up on my caller ID so I Googled it and found this page. I called the number and asked the operator to put me on the do not call list for AT&T and its vendors. Given that AT&T sold me the Caller ID upon which their telemarketers leave nothing more than 877 Services, something is wrong with this picture. Entre nous, it persuades me not to take the call and to leave the status quo as the status quo. If they want me that badly to sell me something hot, they can identify themselves, leave a message or try to get past the NO SOLICITORS sign at my house and knock on my door. I might let them sit outside all day there too. Why bother answering a call when the whole point of caller ID is to have the option of not answering? Why bother using the National Do Not Call List when the the un ID'd caller is your own phone company which you can learn from a website like whocalled.us? I suggest to all concerned that you can easily - by your silence - impress them that you are a member of the National Do Not Bother to Answer List. If I need you, AT&T, I'll call you or look up your services on the web and go cyber with you. Keep billing me by e mail. That works. It's a fact I asked you not to charge me for keeping my number unlisted and it's still unlisted to the public. That's o.k. If you don't call, I still won't have to not answer.

This company has been calling me everyday for the last year and I'm sick of it! I am on the do not call list and want to get an attorney to take them to court for harrassment. I friggin hate them too!!!!!!!!!!

I have received several calls from these idiots over what seems to be the last year or so. I never answer calls that don't ID themselves. When the answering machine picks up, the call ends. I've answered the phone, just to see who it was and they hung up. Then, they called right back. So, I picked up the phone and hung it right up. Big mistake. They just kept calling and calling and calling. I finally unplugged the phone. Maybe if everyone who keeps getting these calls files a complaint on the National Do Not Call List website, they'll stop annoying everyone.

these people never stop calling! I answered the call by mistake. There was a 3 sec pause then a guy started asking me if I wanted to add services to my at&t plan. I said I was busy, thanked him and hung up. I signed up for do not call list which will be effective in about a month. if these people still call me next month, i'm going to report them.

I confirm that this is AT&T. They are happy to add you to their Do Not Call list if you ask them to. NOTE: you will need to provide them with your name, phone number that is being called, and the 3 digits which appear after the end of your phone number on your phone bill (you can also look this up online if you have online account access).

Calling back gives message: "Welcome to AT&T Customer Service". AT&T are long-time telespammers.

I am on the DNC.gov list, and have not personally verified this 877# as an ATT-related number. I am guessing I receive these calls as an ATT "Legacy" customer (California) since they began following my receipt of the first new bill.
Technically, anyone wanting to be removed from ATT and/or its vendors' telemarketing should call their local Customer Service number (on your phone bill), and request that your number be removed from these lists. I do not know how long it takes for this request to take effect.
Should you continue to get calls from 877-871-9585, you might also phone 1-800-791-6661, and just stay on the line till a human being answers. It is my understanding that this is an ATT Executive Offices number which handles customer issues/complaints for residential numbers (I was transferred from another corporate office number).
I provided the who-called-us information, and stated that if this is not an ATT/ vendor call, that ATT might want to know who was using their corporate name fraudulently given the irritation these numerous hang-up calls are creating for so many individuals.

When I called the number back, I was connected with AT&T, with whom I have current business relationship - both landline at home and cellular phone service (therefore AT&T does have a financial relationship with me, which means that the National DNC list does NOT apply!). When the representative recited the products that they are pushing, my response was that 1. I am already a Cingular cell phone customer; 2. I use a cable ISP, which is faster than DSL; and 3. I am not interested in digital Satellite TV service to replace my cable access provider. She then asked if I wanted to be placed on their DNC list, I said yes. For some reason which demonstrates corporate incompetencty, their DNC list may not get updated for up to 30 days (just try that when you don't send in your payment for thirty days!).
We'll see whether the calls stop.

They've been calling forever, multipoe times a day. After reading msgs here, I called. It's "AT&T Customer Service." "We want to make sure you are saving the most money you can with our services". I am an AT&T Customer, so I said OK. He found a plan that saved money, but I actually found one that saved $2 more (not that much, I admit). So after all that, I told him how annoying the calls were, with no msgs left, so please put me on the DNC list at AT&T, and he did. He was very nice and I remained very nice and I saved some money. HOWEVER, about 30 mins later the STUPID 877 SERVICES number called again! And again an hour after that! You'd think once you actually spoke to them and changed some services, that they'd mark your account as DON'T SOLICIT for a while (at least for 30 days or so, which in my case would hopefully be long enough for the DNC request to kick in). SHEESH

They have been calling day and night (as early as 730am and late as 800pm in CA). I just called back and it's at&t telemarketing. I told them to put me on do not call, but I dont understand since I'm on the federal do not call list! We'll see if this works.

I keep getting calls from Truelogic on my cell phone. I have had the phone 3 years and have never given the number to anyone except family members.

I called and was asked over and over for my cell number and I kept asking how they could get a cell number that only 5 people knew. They finally hung up on me.

I wonder if among their many scams they may be also collecting and celling cell phone numbers. Don't give them anything as far a phone number, and don't call from your cell because they can simply use caller ID to capture what they know is a working number. When they call me now I just set my autodialer on my computer to call they back every 5 minutes for an hour so they get to know what it's like to be harrassed.

I came from work one day at 5:30 PM with 11 blank voice mails. When I checked the caller id history, all from this 877-871-9585. The funny thing is I got 3 more calls before it stopped for the day. I still get 5-8 calls per day from these bozos; and yes, after I've re-registered with donotcall.gov.

Why don't we file a class action law suit against At&t.

From August 2006 till this day i recieve at least 3-6 calls each day including sundays as early as 8am and as late as 8pm California time from this 877-871-9585. I have asked Att to discontinue calling me and they say they cannot guarantee that the calls will stop

We have received 40 calls over last 10 days from this number. We are registered on the DoNotCall Registry - and have been for since 2003. I have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry.

I was at home recovering from an injury and received at least 7-8 calls all day long. I finally called the number and it was AT and T. I asked them to remove my number and was told that my number will be removed within 30 days along with a letter confirming my request. Time will tell if this is true.

Finally called them back. Said it was a vendor for ATT selling internet and dish services. UNDERSTAND: as far as DO NOT CALL list, it does not apply to "companies with whom you have a relationship" -- that means if you've ever been an ATT customer, ATT or its rep vendors can call you all they want.

I am called by this number every night, once an hour from 4:30 to about 7:30. It is painfully annoying, and if it is AT&T they should be fined out the @#$#$ for it!

Received two calls this week. When answering the second occurrence, someone was actually there! The company says they are a vendor for AT&T, calling on behalf of AT&T to save me money. Spoke with Ali Mohmoud and asked to be removed from his call list, as well as AT&T's and anyone else's list he calls "on behalf of." Ali is employed by "Telac" in Virginia (Arlington Cty), in Roslyn (sp?).

By the time I was done asking this person to take me off the list and debating what is and what is not a SALES call, I had already wasted more time than any savings he could offer.

Telac has the dirty job of calling "on behalf of AT&T."

I have the same complaint as everyone else. I decided to call customer service. I talked to a very courteous and concerned representative and asked to be put on the DNC list. She even typed this 877 number on her computer and read the comments herself. She said she will have this problem looked into. I was very impressed with her concern regarding this problem that we all are having.

Get a call at least once a day from these idiots. It's always a recording whether I answer or let it go to voicemail. Each time they say it's an important message and it's not a sales call then leave the number to call them at. What's so aggravating is that I'm not an AT&T customer and this is a business cell that I've never used for any kind of telecom service.

Cancel your business with AT&T. Then if they continue to call you, file a complaint with donotcall.gov. If everybody on this list did this, probably be enough to fine AT&T to the point where the calls would stop once requested.

Answered and said hello once, dead air for 2secs and then a hello back on the other end, but I was hanging up. I will be reporting them since I re-registered our # on the DNC and I should not be getting calls now that its been more then 31 days.

I received call from this number, but no one was on the phone when I picked up. I called the number back (after looking at this website) and spoke with a representative who answered the phone as "AT&T customer service". I gave her the links to this website and to the 800notes.com website, saying that I thought AT&T should be aware of people's experience and what they are saying about AT&T. She said she would pass the information on to . . .(I can't remember exactly what she said here). I asked to be taken off their call list. She asked for the 3-digit code on our account (found on the bill), which I gave her. She said we would be removed from their call list within 30 days. (I have the impression that the National DNC registry doesn't apply to a situation where a company has an existing business relationship with the party called. An annoying loophole, which means one has to contact each such caller one at a time . . .)

Just called 877-337-3099 Told them to take me off list. Gave them the ref.# they said on my VM. He verified my phone # and name, of which was completely off, and that was it. You will need to call out.

Calls about once a week but doesn't leave a message. I'm on the Do-Not-Call list, so if this is indeed AT&T, they are in violation because I'm not a customer of theirs.

I've also got the repeated calls, every day, but several times a day. Same as a lot of you, got hung up on after answering. Just got through with A T & T and it is a generated call, that after two rings will hang up and call someone else, regarding the great discounts that A T & T have to offer. Had myself taken off all A T & T's do not call lists, but will take 30 days to process through all of them.

We get 2 or 3 calls every day - no voice message, which shows it is nothing important or a lie (if you can't talk about it). It is time for the consumer to take back the market. Perhaps refusing to use the services offered would get these vendors straight. Or perhaps dropping the services we have in connection to vendor.

Im getting the calls as well, Im not even an AT&T customer. The show up on my caller ID as private. I think there is away that you can block an #800-877 number from calling you. I will check and get back to you.

I get called three times a day and they never leave a message, when I called this number they had a recording and the name of the company was not mentioned, I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and I am getting tired of getting calls from these people. It is very annoying. Both my cell phone and my home phone are on the DO NOT CALL List. I consider this harassment!!!!!!!

The lady calling identified herself from AT&T, and said the call was being recorded. I said I did not appreciate supprise calls that were recording me and hung up.

Okay, if you have phone service from ATT, they CAN put you on their soliciation list even if you are on the Do Not Call list. Exemptions from Do Not Call include vendors for which you already have an account or non-profits. If you have ATT phone service they CAN call you. You have to ask to be put on their own DNC list separately. We receive calls from this number nightly.

What good is a do not call list, which I am on, if the damn phone company doesn't adhear to it? Go figure.

I too get daily phone calls from this number and a few others from different locations in the U.S. I get a recorded message leaving a number to return the call and an I.D. number to be used in returning the call.

Have a friend at AT&T. Told him about this. I am also so tired of all the calls...he is going to check into it and will get back to me. I'll let you know what he says. If nothing else comes of this maybe AT&T will realise they are using the wrong tactics and will stop. Let's hope!

These people continously call our home. They dont leave a message and have no business calling us. AT&T was contacted. They confirmed we are on the no call list, but have several complaints about this number.

This number is AT&T - I called and I told them that I wanted them to stop hanging up or not leaving a message that this is harassment. She said, "Oh, let me add you to our DO NOT CALL LIST". I told her I was on the Do Not call list. I told them if they call me again that I will turn them over to the authorities for harassment.

If youre on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, please go to their website and report the company AT&T and their number 877-871-9585 --(only takes 2 seconds) -enough complaints and they will stop rather than be fined. Otherwise-- this will continue.

This is AT&T trying to sell you their Internet Service. I told them I didnt have Internet Service (to get them to quit calling) but they kept on saying 'are you SURE you dont? But..'--then I realized they must know I do because I pay my phone bill online. Do all you otherts on here pay your phone bills online-- I think theyre using that info in order to sell us their Internet Service. I think its illegal somehow (?) and think we should all turn them in. And YES-- they call sevreal times a day-- I now know their number byu heart and dont answer.

I receieved a call from this number at least 4 or more times a week. No message is every left.

Yup -- calls at least twice a day, including one at 9:20 pm. My version sometimes gives a recording saying "this is not a sales call... pls call 8773373099 and reference number 5442719..." I did this time and got a recording saying they were closed and to call back another time!!! I wish I could have left a message because I most certainly would have left a doozy! How annoying!

The best way to deal with this problem is to call the number back. You will be connected to AT&T Customer Service. Demand to be put on their "Vendor Do Not Call" list. They will ask you to verify your phone number, name on the bill, ect. This should solve the problem.

This is AT&T trying to sign people up for their upgraded DSL Lines. They call every day even after I have told them I do not want to change providers.

This has happened to me several times over the past few weeks...What to do?

I get calls from this number every day. Today (1/24/07) they called at 7:51pm. Caller ID always says "Out of Area" There is never a message left.

Received 1-2 phone calls from them today, no message. Will mark them as a "do not answer" in my cell phone. Thanks for the info previously posted.

Called AT&T and they said this company, Telat, is hired by AT&T to sell AT&T services.

I got a call from these people claiming to be from AT&T California. But I think its a fake company trying to get information from you. I challanged them in asking my account number, but they only give me my phone number. Your phone number is not your account number! Thoes are two totally differnt numbers!

This past week, I've gotten a call every day. And I just got one now. On my caller ID it just comes up as the number. I never pick it up because I do not recognize the number.

This is an AT&T telemarketing # and if you call them back and request to be placed on their "do not call list" they will do so.

they hung up but called back and it's AT&T customer service. they couldn't tell me why they called however. my caller ID says 'NO NAME RECVD' when they call.

I called it back and it is AT&T. SBC was great, not it's AT&T again it sucks.

Last call 11/29 4:29PM. Caller ID says they've called 29 times since CID has been checked - when we're home, they call at least twice a day, every day. The answering machine records a pulsing dialtone when this number calls.

11/28/06 Pretty much the same story as others, call and hang up each time. Per drstealth, it seems they need to get some more people in the call center to answer the damn call, so we can bitch about it!

What everyone needs to understand is that these call center people or on whats called a "predictive" or "auto-dialer". Computer driven phones calls that detect answering machines vs. pickupss and try to predict the time necessary to trans the call to an op. If no one is avail it'll disconect the call etc....get the main "customer service" phn #, ask for a manager and get the name and direct # of the person you speak to. Tell them to remove your number if you are not a customer and document who and when you spoke to. If it persists you gave recourse. Have fun...

Relentless repeated calls from 877-871-9585. Last call on 07/31/2006 at 02:21 p.m. Even called after 9:00 p.m. and before 08:00 a.m.

I was getting calls everyday from this damn phone number, we never picked up. Finally I called the number, realized it was AT&T and I asked to put me on the friggin' do-not-call list. End of story.

Answered and listened to a recorded message that said, "This is a telemarketing call on behalf of AT&T." Asked me to call 877-871-9585. Didn't call.

I called the 877-871-9585 number. The first few times the call did not go through, but I eventually was connected to AT&T Customer Service. I explained that I had been receiving regular calls from this number. The representative said that it may be one of their vendors trying to contact me. So I asked to be removed from their vendor calling list.

I get calls from this number about once a day. We never answer, and they never leave a message
