Who Called Us

Here are a couple of hints I have heard on how to deal with this collection agency (assuming you are not really in their debt!):

Press 1 when you hear the recording. This transfers you to a real person. Then just put the receiver down. This uses up their time and doesn't frustrate you any more.

Do the same thing as above except press a number key on your phone when the human answers to give an unpleasant blast in their earpiece. This is not as nice but it may make you feel better! And maybe if you do this enough they will cross your number off their list. Yeah, maybe not.

Leaves a message saying his name is Paul Black but never identifies what he is calling about or what company he represents

That's some reckless skip tracing, SC, and at an unlawful hour. Send a cease-comm USPS Certified ... LER will have to send you a grand plus legal fees to break it. Learn how to exercise your rights as an alleged debtor at FTC-dot gov.

this number keep calling my 10 year olds cell phone every night around midnight. I keep trying to get them to stop, and even file a complaint with the FTC tonight. After some reasearch they are a debt collector with Leading edge Recovery.

I get calls from this monkey constantly. 5-8 times a week. Same message, This is Paul Blank, press 1 to speak to a representative.....
Wish I knew who the heck this is. Can't call number back.
Harrasment to the nth degree.
Updated my DNC today.

877 number , says he with Paul Black.

Robocall.

says this is paul black, press 1 to be connected to represenative, call this number

no message. comes across as 800 service on caller id

a Mr. Blank , he said.

leaves me "blank"
