Damn Spint nagging as usual!
Called the number back and it was a Sprint recording for sales.
I actually just dropped Sprint and they are now calling my Verizon phone to tell me about Sprint promos for Existing Customers.
Get it together!
Called on cell phone. Was a representative from Sprint trying to sell me a new phone and some sort of a family plan. Whe I told her I had no wife, no kids and no siblings, she thanked me for being a loyal Sprint customer and hung up
Sprint
These people call me all the time, at least once a week. I quit answering a while back but they just keep calling & calling... like again today!
Do not give out personal information to these people. They are tricky! They knew that I had the EVO and what my data plan was and how much I paid. It is creepy! I called Sprint to report it. It's confusing because these people don't speak English well but neither do actual Sprint customer service representatives. Sprint did clarify and say they will NEVER call cell phones to promote offers. These people have a website (sprintusers) if you google under the phone number - maybe Sprint should investigate???
I just got a call from this number. The guy started lying with what he was offering for Sprint. I finally hung up on him. (He had an Oriental accent.) I called Sprint to complain. They said that this is not their number. They will look into this and let me know what they find out.
Getting them to take me off their list wasn't easy but I love making the confrontational call. I did the polite call {please take me off your list} The guy was very nice and apologized and said he would take me off his list. The next time they called, they were closed? I made a firm call {why are you still calling} the following Monday and she took a little more info and assured me I was out of the system. Yesterday, I got another call and made the rude call {this is the third time. no I don't want what your'e selling, All I want is for you to take me off your list!!!! Quit with the sales script and take me off your list} After having that conversation and being transferred four times, I finally got a supervisor on the phone. After a few minutes of the same crap, he said "It takes three billing cycles to remove you from our system" Three months??!!?? This could be fun. That means I can call and abuse these people till after Thanksgiving. Then he said he had access to the system and can take me out right now.
We'll see. I just had to suspend the "Golden Rule"
Sprint called from this number - but it was NOT promotions/upsell/scam, etc. It was merely Sprint to check if a problem I called in a week earlier was resolved. Often, when you call Sprint with an issue or change of service, they will ask you "would it be alright if we check back with you in a week to make sure...".
It is Sprint customer service, offering you to add additional services or add another phone to plan.
Called sprint and this isn't them!
I received a call from this # too, I blocked it. Also what you can do is forward the number that bugs you to an empty phone line. Then it just rings and rings. Or you could just forward it to the company or person that constantly calls you. Just a suggestion :o)
I just got one of those calls from 877-671-1851, didn't answer, didn't call back. I just added the phone number to a "contact" that I named "Phishers/Scammers". So, whenever that number calls me, it will show up as Phishers/Scammers on the caller ID. There are several numbers from other scammers that I have added to that ID in the past. If I see it, I don't answer. If it continues, I file a complaint.
...great idea Dick. Does that work for bill collectors as well?
I made a purchase from Sprint today and now this number calls and leaves no message
SPRINT 07/13 3:42PM
On my blackberry I added the number to my address book, gave it a 'blacklist #(5)' name and made the ring tone MUTE. only way I can figure to block the calls.
i've received two calls from this number but they never leave a message: one on 4/22 @ 5:27pm zz7 the econd one 4/26 @6:36pm. no idea who this person is but its getting kind of annoying.
this is from sprint, offering additional services to your account.
WHAT IS THIS
CALLING WITH PROMOTIONS FROM SPRINT
I got one today 04062010
they called several times and i told the operator to lick my balls and the calls stopped. LOL
CELL PHONES ARE RECOGNIZED BY THE DNC RESISTRY HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE THEIR SERVICE THEY CAN CALL WHENEVER THEY LIKE TO "INFORM" YOU OF "SPECIALS" YOU MAY BE INTERESTED IN. POLLSTERS CAN ALSO PHONE TO ASK YOUR OPINION. COLLECTION AGENCIES ALSO HAVE THE RIGHT IF THEIR DATABASE INDICATES THE PHONE NUMBER BELONGS TO A "DEADBEAT" CLIENT. ANY/ALL VERBAL RESPONSE OF A WRONG NUMBER WILL BE MET WITH LIP SERVICE BY THEM AS IT IS CONSIDERED TO BE SMOKE AND WILL CONTINUE UNLESS CERTIFIED LETTERS ARE SENT REQUESTING REMOVAL.
called the number back and I got an automated message. Turns out is was for Sprint promotion
I have received calls from this number a couple of times now.
The girl pose as Sprint and asked me if I want to add my family to the line. I said that there's no need and did not give away any details.
Few days later, a guy called and also posed as Sprint. He tried to get me to sign up to the same program but I turned him down as weel. So glad to know from this website that it is a scam. Both callers have strong accent.
Said it was Sprint...could hardly understand the girl...asked for my PIN number first thing...told her no and hung up. I think there's plenty of other ways Sprint could verify that it's me besides my PIN number. Birthday? Zip code? Mother's maiden name? If in doubt, just tell them no and hang up.
did not answer call from unknown. Grateful to this website to learn it's a foreign scam
posing as Sprint, so they can get personal ID info. Would be cool if someone who heard their operator speak could identify the country.
I've had so many phone calls from this number, the "press 6 to opt out" never worked, I finally answered the phone (thinking it was Sprint) and twice I talked to someone with a VERY think accent, got nowhere and hung up. Called Sprint customer service and told them what was happening and learned a couple interesting things. 1) Sprint has not outsourced any of their call centers. 2) Sprint does not telemarket promotions until you have opted in to their call list.
calling me too
This is a SCAM! Sprint will only contact you via email or text.
THIS IS A SCAMMER TRYING TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION POSING AS SPRINT...IT IS NOT SPRINT. DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL. SAVE TO YOUR CONTACTS IN YOUR PHONE AND PROGRAM TO "SILENT RINGER" OR "DO NOT ANSWER". THE CALLS WILL STOP IF YOU DON'T ANSWER.
What a waste of minutes.
Call back the number and press 6 to stop Sprint promotions from calling.
Got a call from them at 2:55 on a Saturday. I didn't answer. When I called back, it said "Thank you for calling Sprint together with Nextel. We are now closed. Please call us back during our normal business hours." (Interestingly, the first time I tried to dial the number, I dialed (877) 677-1851 and got AT&T residential sales and service.)
Got a call from (877) 671-1851 today at 9:00pm. They have been calling a couple of times a week for several weeks now. Tonight I called the number back and the automated voice said this is Sprint/Nextel and they are offering a deal on a second line of service. If you want a second line of service dial 3, if not dial 6. I hit 6, hung up then programed my phone to not ring for this number.
When I have these repeated calls, I program this number into my contact list as "Don't answer bogus call." I also customize the ringtone to "no sound." Try it. It works!
This is SPRINT calling with promotions for existing customers
Only the second time that I have received this call. But if it keeps up and becomes more frequent. I will drop Sprint in a HEART BEAT!!!!!!!!! I did now answer the phone, if i don't know whos calling my cell I will not answer untill I do a reverse lookup or search like I did here. Then I call them back and give them a ear full. I dropped my land line because of the crap and increased my minutes on cell where and when does it all end???
I have been getting these calls for the past several weeks, they hi-jacked someone's name from my contact list, so the call always appeared as though it was calling from him. I've talked to them briefly once, hard to understand, represent themselves as Sprint, hung-up on them & they still call. I guess I'll have to learn how to block the number, gotta find that phone manual.
Just got call.
It's simply a company trying to sell bundles of telephone/internet services.
End of story.
What's with you people? It's NOT Sprint! It's scammers trying to get your personal information. NOT Sprint, NOT a 3rd party bill collector, probably NOT in the western hemisphere. It's a SCAMMER! Wake up! Sprint might suck, but give them a break... it's NOT them! Do you people answer all those e-mails you get claiming to be your bank, your credit card company, eBay, or PayPal too?
Call the number back, listen to the options, and select the one for "not interested in any services". I just did it, so hopefully it works. This is the second day in a row for me getting these calls and I do not want to make a habit of it. I was also informed that this may not be sprint but a scam from telemarketers. But I am not sure since I am currently on the "do not call list". But who knows how effective that is nowadays.
My Sprint cell phone rang. Said they were Sprint and knew our name. I said I didn't have free daytime minutes and she said, "Don't worry since this is Sprint." Asked if I was authorized to answer questions about account? Girl with foreign accent. Hard to understand. Asked for my PIN number to continue. I said I didn't want any promotions and I hung up. My bill is paid.
Saw I missed a call from 877-671-1851 at 5:31pm while I was out, duration zero seconds. No message left.
Two and a half years of history from this number on this site and they are still at it... I only hope those spreading this misery taste a full measure of the same from a similar company.
We keep getting calls from this number on our Sprint cell phones. It's bad enough that Sprint service is expensive and is generally poor overall. They need to start blocking this and similar companies from using their network. And yes, it can be done.
To the jackass that sad to pay your bill on time to avoid these calls, we pay ours early!
Got this call again today, been quite some time since the last so I guess they made it around to me again. The last time they wanted me to upgrade but the operator got shook up when I asked for a particular phone they didn't have but was on Nextel/Sprint's site. Third party vendor, makes you want to cancel service because they let people like them work with Nextel/Sprint.
And Kiowamaster, why are you here....did you not pay your bill on time?
About the fact that we get these annoying calls and no one is on the other end, someone told me they auto-dial at all times a day.
then when you answer the computer keeps track of the time of day you actually answered so a real live person can call at the
that same time of day.Don't know if its tru but it makes sense to me. Best to not answer if you do not know the number.
I called Sprint/nextel as soon as I called this number (877) 671-1851 from a land line. It is NOT SPrint or Nextel. They looked up that number and it is NOT one of thier lines. They do NOT call fo promotions unless you are on thier calling list. I have had nextel for 5 years and have NEVER once gotten a call like this. Do not answer it.
If you would pay your bill on time you wouldn't get these calls! Why is everyone shocked that you are getting these calls? Just pay the bill or call them and make an arrangement to pay it little by little.. They just want their money and will take it anyway you want to give it to them.
Got a call at 4:39pm. Didn't answer... I never answer unknown numbers. But I get a bunch of calls from people that I don't know. I tell my friends if they call from an unknown number they have to leave a message...
I shouldve noted that yes he identified himself as being from Sprint but sounded ridiculously unprofessional. I'm pretty sure this is NOT sprint if they are quoting usage minutes that they make up and ask for a PIN. They should never ask for a PIN. Just hang up or don't answer.
They called and knew my name and stumbled over a script about whether I'm maximizing my account. He repeated himself and was not smooth on the phone when he asked for my PIN number "to make sure I'm getting the most of my account." I hung up.
I received a call from this number at 6:37pm but did not answer, because I wasn't sure why a toll free number would be calling be on my cell. The next day I noticed I had a missed call from them again, the time on the call was 11:45pm. Why are they calling my cell phone so late.
THEY KEEP CALLING... I'M GETTING ANNOYED, THERE IS REALLY NO REASON TO ASK ME THE SAME INFORMATION OVER AND OVER EACH CALL IT IS THE SAME.
I just got this call on my cell phone about 15 minutes ago. I do not answer 800 numbers.
left no message but called back and got an answer machine that Sprint Nextell is closed call during business hours. They called me at 1:45 pm central. I called at 3 pm.
As soon as I answer the phone, it will hang up on me. Received several silent phone calls from this number.
No identification of who was calling - no message left
I called sprint a year or so ago and asked them to take me off their list for solicitation. That worked for a while, but now I guess my contract is up because they've started again. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that the national "do not call" law does not apply to companies that you are actually doing business with. When I answer there is also no one there, but still a connection. I assume that they have a mass broadcast auto-dialer for their teleservice reps that recognizes your voice when you answer and then routes the call to an open/available rep... the rep just hasn't picked up the call yet. I hang up before I get anyone. And I just saved this # to my phone book as "DO NOT ANSWER - SPRINT" so I won't pick up at all next times. (I have a couple of these in my phone book.) One thing to consider... I'm not sure if the system is "smart" and knows when you answer ***and calls more frequently*** - versus not picking up at all. I've only gotten 2 or 3 lately and I don't plan to answer again.
I wish someone whould put a stop to these calls. I am on the National Do Not Call List and I can't see why they are able to call me.
I answered on 6/20/09, Sprint was very persistent on trying to get me upgrade to more minutes and really wanted me to add another phone to my service. I told her several times I did not want any changes to my plan. They have called twice since, I did not answer. Aren't whey using our minutes with these unwanted calls, how do we make them stop?
I am assuming those of you who have identified it as Sprint/Nextel are accurate. Even though I am a Sprint customer, I still get this call. It is probably a telemarketer (and probably worse) using the Sprint name to call and harass. But I wish they would stop calling. They do not leave a message and, so far, the one time I did answer there has been no one to talk to. Perhaps it is time to notify the DO NOT CALL folks about this caller
Just call Sprint Customer Retention and tell them you're switching to an iPhone... See what they can do for you.
Be careful with these people. I answered the other day and they identified themselves as Sprint and went on to tell me how much I spend on service with them each month which was about twice what I actually spend. When I denied it was the amount she acted a bit indignent then when I pressed her for who she was she hurried up and ended the call. Might be a scam, don't give them any personal information!!
These mother••••••• need to stop. I know why they calling!
they called from this # and asked to verify how much i was paying a month...they also said i was paying fro 300 minunites (i have 1500) so immediately i was suspicious...she said she'd be happy to change my plan for me...or had i recently changed my plan...i just called spring/pcs service # and they told me that this # is not thiers....
This is very annoying and I believe should be illegal. I've been a loyal Sprint customer for decades.
Yes when you call back it is Sprint/Nextel. For the third time now I have hit 6 for not interested in any special promotions. This stops the calls for a couple of weeks then they start back up again.
called me i i said hello this is steve, silence was the reply......., hello! i said. still no sound so i looked at the phone to see if the call was terminated and it was still active so i stared at the phone for 3 more seconds and i hung up. then i was like wtf . who the fu*k was that! so i googled it and found out it was sprint. wtf sprint calling like some desperate stalker callin and not talking...lol i bet they drive by the house at night and go thru the garbage looking for old underware. sick bastards ..btw if you do business with a company they can call you even if you are on the do not call list...... but what is this some guy posted here that you can block phonenumbers on the sprint web page? is this true? i called sprint one time and asked them if i could block phone numbers and they said "no you can not block phone numbers on a cell phone" then she got me to update my plan. (cuz my contract was about to expire) if you can block numbers and you know how please explain here and post links if possible. thx fellow americans and sprint users
Left no message. When I called back, the automated answer thanks you for calling back and offers new additional sprint/nextel services if you are interested. If you are, you press one number, If not you press a different number and thats it.
They call several times per week and never say anything when I answer, no msg. It is to my cell and I do use sprint and they have never taken no for an answer so probably them, not sure why they don't speak.
Called me on my cell phone while I was at work. Left no message.
WHEN I ANSWERED AND SAID HELLO THE FIRST TIME....NOTHING. THEN I SAID HELLO THE SECOND TIME...SOMEONE DID SAY HELLO BUT THAT WAS ALL.
I get a call everyday from 877-671-1851 at 12:30pm.
ANNOYING!!! I also am on the Do Not Call list but here I keep getting them.
I cancelled service w/ Sprint a month ago and still, they are calling.
I am on the Do NOT Call List, and I have personally called Sprint Cellular, and requested they STOP calling me, with their advertisements!!! I consider this harassment, since I have requested they STOP calling me! This was last year, and apparently they have Short Term Memory Loss! Plus, they are using MY minutes, for their Advertisement! This is a good way to loose a faithful ten year paying on time customer!
I finally got them to STOP Text Messaging me, with their Advertisements, by just blocking ALL the Text Message Service. Plus they were charging me two cents, every time they Text Message me. HA! They finally gave me credit, and stop the Text Messages, and now they are back to calling me with their Advertisements. If they are so gun hole on their Advertisements, they can just U. S. Mail it to me.
Now I am going to report them, for calling me, since I am on the Do NOT Call List, and have personally called them, and complained about it. Maybe they will listen to Feds!
I get this call several times a week. Called again just now. I didn't pick up, but I called back immediately and they said that they were Sprint/Nextel and that they were closed. How were they closed when they just called me a few seconds ago?
Calls from this number several times daily, even weekends. Nobody speaks, and no automated messages.
Nothing when I answered. When I called back there was a recorded message that stated it was "Sprint together with Nextel" and they were calling to offer "great" promotions to existing customers.
They called, Caller ID said 877-671-1851. I foolishly answered even though I didn't recognize the number. They said they were Sprint/Nextel and that this call wouldn't take up any of my minutes. Half-way through her rambling sales pitch I interrupted to ask what exactly this call was about, and then she hung up on me. Whatever.
this is sprint...they will keep calling you unless you do something. i called back the number, press '6' for "not interested": and they leave you alone. probably the most annoying marketing ploy ive ever seen. Im gonna start calling them 2x day and asking if they have any discounts for me....bs
1/5/09, 3:11pm Central: said they were from Sprint. I said they were not, and not to call me any more. She said if they weren't from Spring how would they have my number. I said I was not going to change anything on my account or purchase anything and to talk me off the list. If this IS Sprint, it's really really bad business.
basically to upgrade service and.or to go over your existing service
I called the number back. It's Sprint/Nextel, wanting to tell me about special promotions if I add another line of service. If I wanted to take advantage, I can push a number on my phone. If I am not interested, you press another number.
No message left, no answer when called.
Got three calls 3 different days. No message. Apparently Sprint because I cancelled the service with them.
Been getting this about every other day since 11/11. Never leaves a message.
I just got a missed call on my cell from this number. I looked it up on 800notes.com, and it seems that they are scammers posing as various companies, from Sprint to car warranty businesses. I am afraid people have fallen for their scams by giving them personal information... :(
no idea who this is.
Called my cell while at work but left no message.
It's Sprint. It's an auto dialer so that you call back and get an automated answering machine asking if you want to add a line of service. Just call back and press '6' to say you don't want one.
called my cell phone could not understand then they hanged up on me, when I asked to repeat what they had just said
Both times no one spoke then disconnected. I called back and the message was "Thank you for calling Sprint together with Nextel we are currently after business hours, please call back during business hours." I'm guessing this is a predictive dialer that someone forgot to shut off at the end of the day. There was no touch tone menu as some of the other posters described, so that may also only be during business hours.
Sprint/Nextell called 8/14/08, i didn't answer because of this strang #.
I have gotten a lot of these calls. the thing that pisses me of the most is it is ONLY A CALLBACK NUMBER. noone talks when you answer. It doesn't get much worse than that.
I answered 6 to a few of them and then started to answer 5 to deal with the people. I get on there and tell them NO I will not give you my information. I need you to transfer me to someone who can REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THIS LIST.
The first call to them today - They sent me to the do-not-call registry.....which is bogus because they are contacting me as a CUSTOMER TO SELL ME MORE SERVICE...therefore making the do-not-call list invalid.
The second call they transferred me to Customer service...Neil at Sprint also wanted all of my details and my pin code. I told him my number and to remove me from the list. I refused to provide any more detail to them. I also made it very clear to all the people that I spoke to that if this does not stop NOW, I will cancel my service.
I am beyond my contract term and would suffer no harm to port my number elsewhere.
if you call back the number 877-671-1851 there is a selection to OPT-OUT of the program.
Its Sprint trying to sell additional services
I have received a call from this number five times in the last two weeks. I answer, there is no one on the line... which means it is clearly a "pool" caller. I suspect Sprint business telemarketing. I don't mind if they call, but they should at least be there so I can politely tell them I'm not interested in whatever they want.
Received a call from this number; was a telemarketer who just hung up on me. I believe it is from Sprint, as they have called from this number in the past.
Got a call from this number, no nothing.
Illegal to call cells as the recipients must pay for the call
Called me today. I answered and said hello twice. No one said anything.
Left no voice mail. Called back and received automated response. Supposedly Sprint. I can't wait until my contract is up. I've never had such horrible service and other companies never spammed me with advertisement this way.
Called back. It was Sprint/Nextel. They were closed when I called back. I was hoping for an automated way to opt out. No point in reporting this number as I have a business relationship with them (i.e. I have service with them), so they're not violating the do-not-call list.
This number belongs to Sprint. They are trying to get existing customers to add a line to their plans.
This is Sprint/Nextel trying to sell an upgrade to your phone plan.
Called twice today. It was Sprint telemarketing saying that they wanted to inform me about new services.
Great idea DJ!
They called again. I hate them.
Added them as a contact on my phone so I could set their custom ring tone to Silence.
Two calls from this number in the past week, when I answer there is no answer
They called yesterday and today. It rings about 2 times and they hang up. I'm assuming its Sprint!
This is Sprint telemarketing, trying to get you to upgrade your phone and add a new line. I tried to be patient and talk to the woman who called on Thursday around 11 AM but it was hard to understand her (not a native English speaker) and the connection was bad - go figure! She did say I wouldn't be charged minutes for the call. I finally got tired of trying to answer her questions and told her I was at work and they shouldn't be bothering people during the work day for this crap, anyway. By the way, it is NOT illegal for them to call you if you are a Sprint customer - just annoying.
Cell phone made the dog bark and woke up the baby. I'm pissed!
Calling cell phone-no message.
Got a call AGAIN today 5/7/08. This has been going on for about 3 months.
Glad I found this site. I figured 877-671-1851 was a telemarketer. Now I know it is Sprint. I really hate this company. Their customer service is just awful. Although years ago, MCI was worse -- downright liars that continually charged me for services I never ordered. Had to call dozens of times, write letters, etc. Why do the phone companies pull this stuff? Can't they just provide a service, let us pay for it, and stay the !&@^$%!&*)^ out of our lives?
Got a call this morning. 05/05/08.
I called it back and its Sprint/Nextel.
Gotten a few of these today and last week, and also a couple of months back. They try to sell you an "upgrade" to your plan. It's annoying, but according to the salesperson it doesn't use up any of your minutes.
Are you a Sprint subscriber?
That is Sprint trying to sell you more crap!
called the number back and got sprint telemarketing message offering "additional lines of service" I hvae 4 lines with them already and got the telemarketing call on 2 of the 4 lines. in the message I received when I called them back, i was able to select "6" to decline the offer, but i don't know if that takes me off of their list for future calls.
Cell phone rang at 8:13, i answered quickly, no one was there.
Cell is 215 area code Sprint number, sprint network, but address has been in CA for eight years.
800notes.com
Sprint call center
I keep getting them, but always miss the calls. Glad to know who it is...
Got 2 yesterday and 1 today.... didn't pick up &the didnt leave a message
I missed this call. I called back it went to Sprint.
Listen SPRINT!!! I shovel enough of my freaking hard earned money into your gullet. Leave me alone. Keep calling and I'll switch to AT&T.
is this fraud or actually sprint does anyone know?????
Called and left no message! Odd!!!!!
none
Just got a call from this number. Figured it was Sprint calling to bug me. LOOK SPRINT! Just becuase I use your service, doesn't mean I want you calling me. Geeze!
I answered. No sound at other end. I wait several long seconds. A woman who speaks slow with a thick accent asks for me. I say this is him. She says she's with Sprint and would like to make me a special offer for possibly lower rate and new phone. How much do I currently pay, she asks. My response is 'not interested. Could you guys stop calling me everyday?' She laughs and says 'Everyday...' as if I'm full of it. I ask for her to please take me off of ALL marketing lists. I want to OPT out of any offers and STOP CALLING ME! There's a long pause then she tells me okay but it'll take a few weeks to take affect. No problem, I say. Thank you and I hang up. We'll see if they indeed stop bothering the sh*t out of me every damn day. Getting sick of Sprint's bullsh*t.
Answered. Long pause. Machine dialer, probably a recording. Didn't wait to find out whether I'd won a trip to Bangolia or could get my little blue friend for half price.
it is sprint/nextell. they want to sell you something
female asked for me by name. I responded. Person hung-up.
Got a call from this number this morning. I'm usually at work at this time of the day but just happen to be off today. Didn't answer the call because it was unknown and an 877 number. Don't know who it was, probably won't bother calling it back. From reports, looks like it was probably Sprint.
Just got one today 04/01/08
3-31-08 Rang off b4 I could answer. No msg.
Called, did not leave message. No name showed.
Called today (3/31), from this number, and from 866 63 3021, last week, saying she was calling for (on behalf of) Sprint. Same voice, same offer, and same mispronunciations on both.
I am on the do not call list, but Nextel does not know how to read.
Have been getting the calls for several months now and decided to answer today. Nextel wanted to know if I wanted to buy a phone. I am already a customer. Seems they don't do their homework.
This # has been calling me for weeks now, multiple times each day. I finally picked up the phone today and they weren't calling on behalf of Sprint -- it was AT&T California. Logging a complaint with them now.
get these all the time as they do not id themselves
I get a call, few times a week for months. I tell them not to call back, they seem to not fully understand english. They have a foreign accent. Sprint says they are a independent company. I am fed up with it!
I just got calls two days in a row and I already told them not to EVER call me again unless they pay my cell bill for that month.
send then a registered letter through snail mail and tell them to sop calling your number. It should be easy to find out what their address is.Just saying "stop calling" will not do.Do it the legal way so they have to stop! This way you have proof you told them to stop.
I use Nextel, which is associated with Sprint, so I guess I have to put up with these calls. I keep asking them to put me on the do not call list and they claim they've done it each time. Still get the calls though.
Call ID says UNAVAILABLE, this number calls several times a day and will not stop!
I was getting them 5-10 times a day, starting at 7:01AM and ending around 8pm for a solid week. Just turned my ringer down when I went to bed. Nothing this week though, so maybe it's stopped.
I get this call 3-4 times a week.
Will not speak to me, want to speak to my spouse only...
Fed up!!!!!!!!!
I've been receiving at LEAST 8 calls a day from 877-671-1851 as well as another 8 from 866-463-3020...I'm going to go crazy!
its sprint calling after your agreement runs out...i ginore them so they call me 6-7 times a day..
23 times in 3 days....4-30 till 5-2 and its only 2 pm and it is 4 times today. THANKS SPRINT
I've been getting them at least twice a day for about two weeks now!!! They come from different numbers as well.
I got 6 from the same number all today! I used to think Sprint was alright but this is just crazy!
i have a sprint phone, they have called me 12 times in less than a week, and they keep calling me VERY EARLY... im so fed up
They alternate between this and the other number. I get at least two calls a day.
I liked dealing with sprint, however, this number keeps calling my phone, especially during the work day 9a.m.-5p.m. My work place does not allow us to take cell phone calls unless it is from someone who may be notifying of an emergency. This has become too much.
Another thing is that if it is Sprint, wouldn't the minutes used to speak with them be counted against my phone time?
Another call from this number. Coming in at the rate of two in one hour. No caller ID. No message. Thanks for your information! If they keep it up, they will lose me as a customer!
telemarketing mail that comes very often, at least 3 times a week. rather annoying
I've been getting calls from this number since February. I only answered one a couple weeks ago and the number immediately hung up and now they call me almost every day. I never answer, but it's still annoying.
I receive them everyday now. I think I will answer and ask that it stop.
877-671-1851 and 866-463-3021 call me every day and hang up. Thanks for the harrassment, Sprint. I can't believe I pay for this special treatment from you.
I got a call from 877-671-1851 - I have no idea who it was though. Does anyone have any idea ?
I got one today at noon.
They have called every day for the last nine days.
This number callerd Wed (4/11) at 6:15pm, Thursday (4:12) at 5:42 pm, Friday (4/13) at 8:14 pm, Friday (2/20)at 7:44 pm, and Saturday (2/21) at 10:42. All I got the first time that I answered was a recording.
This is Sprint/Nextel telemarketing for existing customers. If you call the number back, there is a recorded message for promotions. Listen to the message and follow the direrections to indicate that you are not interested.
called me, I said if you're really Sprint, tney you have my e-mail address. I don't do business over the phone. She mumbled in broken English that it's a direct marketing call. I hung up.
Gotten 3 in the last two days, on my husbands phone...but no one has called mine?! It just woke my butt up at 10 am which is also early for me since my husband works till 3 am. I work for a cell phone call center and this is bull! And I have already subscribed to the do-not-call list for all of mine and my families phone numbers!
i got a call from this number at 9:00 am.
Called today I didn't answer why should I waste my minuets on them????
caller id reads toll free #
that is all..2 and more times a day.........
this is annoying, I have repeatedly asked to NOT have calls, and I have a sprint phone, what the ** do I have to do??
Another call today 3/27/07. 2 rings and no one on line no message, happens several times a week and at all hours
This number has called 3 times a day for about 3 months. I just ignore it. At first i thought my line was being recorded because when I answered no one was there (thats what happens when the line is being watched you get a call from time to time with no one on the other end), but then one day I called the number back, and it was sprint.
Is Them Harassing Me A Good Enough Reason To Get Out Of My Contract Without Paying The Cancelation Fee?
Calls almost everyday and never a answer from the other end.
sprint is a pain in the neck! they call and call from that number or from other numbers
I didnt answer.. it showed only the number, and "name unavailable.
Interesting that it is Sprint since that is my carrier.
Just got the second call from this number in two days. I think its time to cancel my sprint service and go with another provider.
BEEN TOLD TO STOP CALLING AND KEEP CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!
yup i was able to report you to the phone co by email ! and was it a joy to do! call me again and you are reported again! and call trace oh wont it be fun ! your welcome! cant hear your ty but u are welcome!
these jerks called me this afternoon i call trace and the 877 area code is jersey city nj i now am sending email to phone co on these jerks! your welcome!
I tried calling it from a landline and all it did was ring, no one answered. The funny thing is if you call from your cell phone it goes to SPRINT, what is up with that? I have never received the calls though I have gotten a few from ghost in your phone which is the spanish telemarketing line. My husband is the one who received the call today right about 12:30 pm and we were at lunch so you know it really irked me. I tried to call it back and amazingly no answer from this, so evidentally they only want cell phone users to call back. BEWARE!
If you don't leave a message, I will never call you back
called about 4 times in the past 2 weeks, either hanging up before i pick up, or, if i pick up, silence on the other end of the line for 30+ seconds (at which point i hung up). looking forward to figuring out a way to deal with this bullshit from sprint somehow.
got one today, ignored it
12:07 on 3/20/07
called sprint customer service 877‑349‑4413 got kirk his employee number is 5110178 he said that he would put me on the do not call list and it would take a couple of days, very polite and professional
receive march 14 at 612pm nyc time. sprint with extra phone deal.
Two more calls from this number today. Called sprint customer service. They refused to put me on the do-not-call list for this one but said they might be able to in 30-60 days.
Have called sprint customer service at least 15 times about this attempting to get on their do not call list. They continue to refuse.
The number is definitely sprint and not some 3rd party pretending to be sprint. You can call it and ask to be transferred to customer service and they will transfer you internally to a sprint operator.
Called 3 times, no message. I answered this morning 10:30 CST and I said hello 3 times. Then, I heard "hello" and it disconnected. Kinda rediculous. I try not to answer unknowns anyways but got curious.
I've been getting these for the past two weeks... Everyday between 4 and 7pm PST. No one responds when I take the call. Grrrr.
oops, first part of my note got deleted:
These are calls from Sprint. They are both illegal and a violation of their privacy policy. You can try contacting customer service and when prompted for a reason for your call say, "cancellation". This will get you a sprint operator immediately with no hold time. Then immediately ask to speak to a supervisor.
Then immediately ask for a supervisor. Sprint maintains a do-not-call list, but this part of their marketing department DOES NOT HONOR THAT LIST. Make sure to explain to the sprint supervisor that they are legally required to discontinue calling you.
If you call back the number, the person on the other end of the line will identify themselves as a sprint employee in Scottsdale Arizona. But since they do not speak english, they are in all likelyhood lying to you.
receive 2 calls on monday...2 on tuesday...and three this morning. no messages ever left.
i got one at 10:01 am today...
Sprint repeatedly calls my cell. The game is always the same. No message left and a hang up if I answer. A call back to the number is an automated solicitation. I believe this is a loophole they are exploiting in the cell solicitation rules from the FTC... You don't hear the solicitation unless you, by your own actions, fall for their phishing scheme. Pressing '6' to cease solicitations has no effect, near as I can tell, because they keep calling me despite that. Their customer service reps tell you to register your phone number with the donotcall registry, which is bogus advice as cell phones are not acknowledged by the registry:
donotcall.gov
ftc.gov
I can't imagine why they think this is a good idea. It can only make their customers angry.
Got one at 12:12 PM today, but I was too busy to answer it. After google it , find this website.
got a call at 8:30pm...3/13/07
I was getting calls from this number, sometimes several times a day, then they stopped. I received a call today (3/9/07).
they called twice in one hour. Did not answer.
they call me about 4 times a day. im one call away from reporting them to the better business bureau! lol...
Just wanted to quick add that I called Sprint customer service over 4 times just now, trying to talk to someone about these annoying calls, and after the entire speech of "press this number to speak to this person" I kept getting the same "We're sorry, no one can assist you at the moment" message by the operator. Why do I even use Sprint, they are absolutely horrible with customer service.
Well, so much for pressing 6 to rid me of these phone calls. They called me again at 9:45 am this morning. I am getting so tired of these phone calls. They always call and let the phone ring about 2 times and then hang out. Just long enough to wake me up, but not long enough to be able to answer. If they call me again, I will be calling Sprint and canceling my service, this is just absolutely ridiculous.
Number called me twice in 12 hours. I finally called the number back and it was an automated message from Sprint going on about adding a phone line. If you press 6 during the message they apparently stop bothering you with future promotions. Pretty annoying call, especially at 10 am in the morning (which is early for me lol)
they called twice in 12 hours
I get them all the time, too. I got a call from them just now and did not hang up. I got one yesterday, too.
This number has been calling once a day for three days now. I finally picked up on a sat. morning and it was Sprint trying to sell me another phone. Now I am having trouble getting through to customer service to rid me of this. This is the second number that sprint has called from and I am sick of it. If they do not take care of this they have lost a long time customer.
Received a call 2/22, 7:40PM from a Sprint representative asking if I needed a new phone. Told rep I cancelled my account a few weeks ago. She was friendly.
Didn't answer, but usually when I get a toll-free call on my cellphone it's Sprint nine times out of ten to 'offer' me something.
Got one call on 2/15 and now another today (2/19). Didn't pick up (my phone is in area code 612).
Two rings and gone. Glad they hung up.
its sprint telemarketing, i called them back and messed with them a bunch of times, tried to get them to buy cookies from my sons boy scouts, stuff like that, told them well i thought since they could call me to try to get sales why couldnt i do the same to them, the girl wouldnt ask her coworkers if they wanted any cookies, lol. oh well, i say we sue them, its 500$usd fine every time they call you, they have called me over 10 times and God knows i sure could use the extra money. let me know gfu.pushx at gmail dot com only if you need me to join your case please.
I got one at 10:49 2/19/2007. But You can Block These Numbers On Sprint Webb Site If you do not wish to receive A call from a specified number.
This number called and I did not answer. They left no message.
Just got another one today 2/19/07 and one last thursday 2/15/07. They call me at least twice a week, and ive asked them to stop. I told Sprint I will no longer subscribe if they keep calling, but they still do so they've lost a customer once my contract ends.
I got one on 2/16/07 but didn't answer.
Twice in a week
got one today 2/17/07
got one today, as well
only showed the number
I just got one 2/16/07
got one today 21607
2-15-07 It's another telemarketing call from Sprint/Nextel. I was getting them from the other number, complained and the calls stopped. Now they are coming from another number!!!!
