How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

This is Comcast. It is one of their support lines -- I just called it yesterday and remembered the number.
It is from Comcast, the call me two, three times a day... I have called back and complained, but guess what they stopped for about two weeks, and then started again, so I choose not to answer their calls... if it is important leave a message... It is annoying but what can you do... They become less processional by bugging me so much...
Refused to pick up this call on my cell phone, and pre-recorded message was from Comcast.
I have no idea who is calling. I answered and no one was there. I am very perturbed because they called my CELL PHONE!! Businesses...even legitimate ones...are bold as brass in their disregard for the law.
I get a call from this number at least every other day... sometimes even more than once a day! Will it ever stop?!?!
They are calling me and sending me a lot of things about this digital conversion business, and I just was wondering, how are they doing me a favor when I can go buy dc box at some place like best buy instead of paying a monthly charge on it to them for life. Ya, Ya it's free, I heard the hype, but really it's not, because when you have the basic service that I have, (which is no longer offered by them as of Jan. 2009) you pay 5.95 less than you do when you "upgrade". And as soon as you upgrade, you can't go back. So what's the 5.95 for? They'll say the service but it's the rented box!! No thanks, comcast. I'll do what I do with my internet modem. Take your service, buy my own equipment.
I did not answer this call.
Nobody on the other side
Comcast selling more crappy services...
Comcast robocalling about a letter they're going to send. Absolutely brilliant. Seriously just mail the letter, you don't need a robocall.
They are NOT scammers, but just calling to let people know that if they have tvs in their homes that do not have a converter device, that those tvs will no longer be able to receive channels 30-70 or so after a system conversion in late September 2009. They are offering FREE converters for those tvs (up to 2 per household I believe). Many people have multiple tvs in their homes that are just directly in the wall and not hooked to a box, so they are doing you a favor.
Left a very long winded message about getting digital converters for all our TV's. Since we are one of their customers don't they keep records of who has what?It was just an annoying interruption in my busy morning.
COMCAST TRYING TO SELL DIGITAL CONVERTORS FOR THEIR NETWORK... RECORDED MESSAGE
Automated message from Comcast talking about the DTV transition...
About the digital upgrade & need for new box. I spent a half hour online with them a week ago to find out I am all set. I even got the online help person to say she saw that the device my account was set up with was fine. Seems their marketing department doesn't bother to check with the devices they gave you. Waste of my time.
Comcast was calling about the digital conversion.
