How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Received a message from this number on my Google Voice line. Person identifying herself as "Eva" trying to reach someone who isn't me, and whom I have never heard of, an "Albert Porter..." something or other. (unintelligible... Newridge? not sure) Her audio was cutting in and out, with boiler room chatter audible in the background. She said it was "important" that I return her call and rattled off a case number. (also unintelligible) No mention was made of what company or organization the call was on behalf or what the matter was regarding. Ignoring.
this is a government collection agency, they want all of your money even if they call the wrong number. if it werent the american government then you would be able to press harrassment charges but it is so they can f you. and will.
Keeps calling here but we have no collections with this company and today they called but there was no one there. I kept saying hello and no one answered so I hung up.
Received many calls for a person who does not live here. When returned call today and told a person that nobody by that name lives here, he kept on saying OK. When I asked for not calling again, he ended with funny laughter. This AOI should be investigated.
Same thing...repeated calls for weeks & weeks now for someone I've never even heard of. Electronic voice says to press '1' if you are this person and/or to call Vivian Moore at this number. They keep calling, even though I've repeatedly told them I've had my number for 8 years & never heard of that person.
Then, all of a sudden, same exact calls & process, but they now know the correct name belonging to the phone number, and mechanical voice now asks for them by name instead of the previous (non-existent) person...how fishy is that?!?!? This company should be investigated!!
