287 calls reported from this number. According to 20 reports the identity of this caller is Dell
How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Started getting calls from these guys a couple of days ago. Dell Financial Services wanting to offer an automated payment and product insurance. I have taken two steps that were suggested by others below. 1) I did call in to the DFS phone number ( 1-866-351-9773j - you need to have your account number ready) and went through the steps to get taken off of their call lists. Said it could take up to three weeks. Important as the other commenter noted to follow this all the way to the very end where it tells you to push 9 to hang up or it might not lock in. Also, I liked the advice of another commenter and what I started doing is when they call, I politely ask them if they can hold on just a minute. Then, I put the phone on mute and toss it on the desk. After a few minutes they eventually hang up. The other commenter noted that this causes them to stop calling after a while, not sure if that is the case but if they hang on for a few minutes before hanging up (this morning they stayed on the line for 4 minutes) that is 3 or 4 more people that will not get called - if everyone were to do this it would reduce the total call load and collectively we would all reap the rewards. In fact, I like that idea enough that I will start doing it on any of these calls we get.
Assured Solutions has me on automatic dial and calls me seven to ten time daily. If I answer, there is nobody on the line. The one time I did answer and told them "NO" in no uncertain terms went unheeded by them. I continue to get calls continually throughout the day every day, even when Assured Solutuions is not open! I have my own assured solution for this problem. I am all through paying Dell for the cheap piece of Chinese crap. I can assure them there is no solutuion for this. Let them sue me. I will be more than happy to bring this to light in the media. I once felt Dell was a reputable company. HA. What a joke. They are nothing more than greedy, harassing dolts who have screwed themselves out of $1400.
Called 1-866-351-9773 to opt out. Hope it works.
I HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH DELL! This number 877 551 4552 Assured Solutions shows up on my caller id 2 or so times a day for a few days then stops then starts up again in a few days. Very annoying they leave no message.
Called didn't leave a msg so I called back 20 minutes later only to be told that they close at 8pm eastern time. They called at 8:11pm eastern time...weird...
They call every night. Very annoying.
The one time I did answer the phone, I asked to be put on the do-not-call list. Apparently, they did not grant my request.
They use to call me but no longer. When they did I would answer the phone and then blow a very loud whistle into the receiver and then hang up.
Followed instructions in post and went to Dell Privacy and called 1-866-351-9773 to opt out. Will be glad to be done with these calls.

They call repeatedly and you can't hear them (horrible connection) and when you can hear them you can't understand them (clearly they are a company in India despite saying they're calling from Sydney, Australia). I have asked them repeatedly to remove me from their call list, which by law, if you do business in the USA you are required to follow even by a verbal request. Also be it known that I opted out of any selling or distribution of my information when I purchased my computer. Then today I also received a "friend request" from someone in India. Unbelievable tactics! You would think Dell wouldn't want this sort of consumer harrassment to be associated with their company. I know that as a result of this harrassment I will never purchase anything directly from Dell again.
Delve research - a paid survey type company. They also pay you to try products. I (actually my 2 year old) did a training pants trial for them and I got paid $100.
This phone number is related to your Dell Financial Services (DFS) account, and is NOT through Dell directly. Using the Opt-Out at Dell.com will NOT stop Assured Solutions from contacting you. If you paid Dell through credit offered by DFS, you may Opt Out of DFS's information sharing by visiting their website: dfs.us.dell.com. At the bottom of the home page click on the "Consumer Privacy Policies" link. Scroll to the bottom of the text. In the gray box titled "Opt-Out Instructions" you may dial the number: 1-866-351-9733. You will need to enter the 19 digit Dell Preferred Account number found on the card issued to the account holder. You will then need to input the zip code associated with the account profile (the billing address zip code of the card holder). The automated system will allow you to opt-out of phone solicitation, mail solicitation and e-mail solicitation. Be patient and FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE EXACTLY AS STATED UNTIL THE AUTOMATED VOICE INSTRUCTS YOU TO DIAL 9 OR HANG UP. If you don't hear "to end the call please dial 9 or hang up" you didn't follow the instructions appropriately. The reason it takes several business weeks is that these system responses are AUTOMATED and have already been ordered to contact the consumer at the calling/mailing/emailing information provided to DFS at specified intervals. Once you Opt-Out, it places a stop on future consumer contact requests not yet ordered by the automated system. That's the way it is folks. You must follow instruction and be patient. All of this information is in the disclosures from every company you do business with. Read them and follow instruction. You lose the right to complain if you toss the consumer disclosures aside when you first open your accounts and receive them via mail. They say IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS on the outside of the envelope for a reason. Don't be the person that says, "Well, nobody reads those things anyway". I can assure you that YES, other people do. Educate yourselves. Good luck and becareful out there! No one is concerned for your best interests, but yourself.
They call all the time and we do not answer but we are tired of the calls...thank god for this website! We followed an earlier poster's comments and went to dell.com, selected \"Privacy\" link (down in teeny tiny pprint at the bottom of page), under the \"Your Choices\" section we selected the \"Opt Out\" link. We filled out the information on the page and clicked \"submit\".
This will supposedly work but Dell warns that it could take them \"several weeks\" to do....WHY???
Our daughter-in-law bought a Dell computer for her daughter for Christmas. Since then we have been getting calls from this number looking for her. She has only her cell so apparently they are calling everybody in the phone book in this area with the same last name looking for her. They cannot pronounce our last name and everytime they call looking for her I just say, "Nobody here by that name".
When calling back this number, it appears it is for Assurance Solutions which is a benefit company that deals with Dell Preferred Accounts.
This is ridiculous! They call from 37 other random numbers listed on here. 37! And ya know it's not all of them. I don't care that this doesn't fall under donotcall protection, they harass people plain and simple. They were calling here everyday super early but I blocked it with night mode (my husband works nites and needs his sleep) but now they've started calling around 8PM! We happened to be napping and I have had it with getting woke up. Where can I complain to? I figure if I b**** at someone long and hard enough SOMETHING will be done.
I finally figured out how to get them to stop, takes a little time, but worth it when they have called every day, sometimes many times a day for months and at odd hours. You call the number back and when the prerecorded message comes on hit #2, then set the phone down for a minute. They are actually good in answering because they think you are 'calling them back’; let them say their spiel, hello, hello, and then hang up or wait one minute. Do this as many times as you can. When they call again do the same thing. They will then 'block' you from calling and stop calling. I figure that if enough of us 'call them' they will not be able to do their work of bugging us! And it does get them to stop calling.
They are a telemarketer for Dell. They sell "insurance" for the Dell charge accounts.
They don't stop calling. They don't take "no" for an answer. And... WORST OF ALL... Half the time they call, you answer and get a recording saying... "No associates are available to speak with you. Call us back at ..."
THAT really pisses me off.
I have told them to remove us from their call list.... We'll see.
Here is the link to their Dell's website that gives you the opportunity to get off their marketing lists ( postal mail and telephone/fax). I went ahead and filled it out since they already have my info. I will definitely be back here to complain if they DON'T stop calling!
ecomm.dell.com
They call almost every day. We don't answer -- they don't leave a message.
Yes they are calling me too. They are so rude. They ask for my husband, don't know why it's my account. When I tell them I'm his wife and it's my account they hang up on me. When I worked at a call center I would be fired if I hung up on someone.
If you want to be added to crappy telemarketers, buy something from Dell. I will NEVER buy another dell product because of their persistent telemarketing calls. Shame on you Dell!!!
This has been an ongoing problem even for me for 3 months!! Believe it!! I am even on the do not call list and since I have seen this site I posted this to let people know they can also contact the "do not call" site and file a complaint as well! As well as you are registered with them. This may help more people cause if you are registered with them it is a criminal offense. so please contact them. thank you.
Calling back the number is a voice mail system designed to route you to a Assured Solutions (Dell)operator that wants to sell a Dell Credit protection plan. You can request to be added to their do not call list (this can also be done on the Dell website under the privacy link).
This is Dell Preferred/ Assured Solutions. I have asked them 3 times to stop calling us. They woke me up twice already from much needed sleep. I have complained to Dell but so far have only gotten lip service.
How do you get these people to stop calling? They called last night at 9 p.m. I have an account, am not deliquent in payments and don't want any additional products. If I want something, I'll make the phone call. I don't need them calling me.
A couple months ago, I put my number on their do-not-call list. Looks like they don't take that seriously. And where's the government? Why, protecting industry, of course.
I work in a corporate office. This number has called 3 nights in a row at about the same time, after 8PM. They leave no message. Any way to stop it?
Dell huh? That makes sense, we buy computers from them & most of these places have clauses in their agreements that as long as they are doing business with you, they can call you (read: don't buy on credit if you want to avoid this). Call blocking here they come
unknown name 877-511-4552
They call several times a day and never leave a message. They just called here at 8:50 p.m. and hung up before the machine cut on. I am on the Do Not Call list also. Will they ever stop?
Assurance Solutions calling Dell Preferred Account members...
Asked for jodi collum calls daily telmarketing collections or other annoyonce requested removal still calling jerks
Yep, they want to sell you Dell \"credit protection\". It doesn\'t matter if your Dell account has a balance or not. Dell Financial Services is behind this one and they provide the telemarketers with a list of all accounts. You have two options - (1) answer the phone and try communicating with mister \"little or no english\" on the other end and tell them to add your name\\number to their \"privacy\" list OR (2) go to dell.com, select \"Privacy\" link (bottom of page), look under the \"Your Choices\" section for the \"Opt Out\" link. Complete the information on the page and click \"submit\". This will work but Dell warns that it could take them \"several weeks\" to do it. Hmmm....not good data processing for the world\'s largest PC mfg. :) Good luck!
I am on the "Do Not Call" list. I understand that Companies you do business with can call you, but five (5) to six (6)times a day? They do not leave messages and it is becoming annoying. If you have something to sell then leave a message and if I am interested I will call for more informaiton. The "Do Not Call" Registry should allow Citizens to include Businesses they do business with if they choose.
Calls once a day, always hangs up when I pick up.
I reported this to Dell - maybe they'll get the hint?
Unknown - I am on National Do Not Call Registry donotcall.gov
Asked if this was business and then hung up.
If this is Dell calling me I may have just bought the last Dell computer I will ever buy. They call 3-4 times a day. I sick of them waking me up.
They called my number twice today. (We ordered a Dell computer w. credit from Dell. It hasn't even been delivered yet.) After looking up the info on this website and seeing that people reported that they will (supposedly) take you off their telemarketing list, I called them and asked to be taken off their call list. (Like others who have reported this number, I am on the national Do Not Call List.) The person I spoke to sounded very polite and said that he'd have them remove my number and stop calling me. I hope it's true.
They've called me a total of 8 times in 2-3 days. I don't answer. I'm a little concerned it's a credit protection plan, since I paid cash for my Dell computer - I never opened a credit acct with them.
I am so sick of the endless calls from this number! They never leave a message, just call back over and over.
I swear I will never buy another dell computer again.
Calls multiple times a day. getting very annoying
calls several times a day sometimes back to back
Finally got ticked off enough at the endless phone calls from these people at all hours of the day and night that I changed my phone number. I'm responsible for the purchase of computers for NYS government and these calls have ensured that NYS will now be using HP.
It's Dell calling. I wish now that I had never bought a computer from them!
seems that everywhere I go people are always complaining . well I am here to complain about all the complaining going on. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. people apparently have nothing better to do then come on blog sites and complain get a hobby
FYI when you call the 8775114552 # your not getting the people that called you. we are the admins for the protection. as well If you have a business relationship with a companym there can call you at anytime. They are not bound by the DNCL.
calls almost every day.
This is actually regarding Dell Credit Protection Plan. Yes once again Telemarketing scheme.
The Caller ID for me is '877 Services'. We have had experience with them in the past as they are very persistent.
Our Dells have aged to the point of needing to be replaced and based on the comments here, we are replacing them with competitive computers.
I also experience 3-5 calls each day, every day.
If you have a business relationship with a companym there can call you at anytime. They are not bound by the DNCL.
Calls 2-5 times a day. Some calls are within a two hour period.
If you have an account with Dell, log on and uncheck phone contact permission. They also have email and reg mail contact boxes. All 3 are checked giving them permission to contact you until you change it.
I get calls from this number every day - good to see from the other comments that it's apparently Dell. You know, if they want to catch someone at home, they should try during not-work hours. Then I could at least tell them I'm not going to take any of what they're offering.
it is telemarketing from Dell...they need to have their name on the caller ID to expect existing customers response, otherwise - Unknown means Unanswered, Ignored, & Obnoxious...
Dell calling to offer credit card protection and added insurance. ask to be taken off list they still call.
Dell Customer Service offering "property protection" to "valued card holders."
They called me too - which is why I looked it up on here to see who it was. HOWEVER ... people say "I am on the do not call list" ... These people need to read the rules of the DO NOT CALL LIST ... If you have done business with them or they are collections - you being on the list does not matter - they can call (and their associates). Every company has opt out instructions (if they are legit) so inquire about them when you first do business with them if you do not want calls. We have a Dell acct, so now I know who called and why - they are offering something to sell yes, but this is their right - so instead of avoiding them - SAY NO!
Rec'd call yesterday, no message. I have a Dell & my account is paid to date.
This number was from Dell Preferred Account. Of course they do not leave a message on the answering maching. When I called they were nice, as I said another call will lead me not to utilize Dell any longer. I am now on the list for them to not call again.
The calls start at 8 a.m. and don't stop until 8 p.m. They call approximately 5-6 times a day. I have spoken to 3 different people to tell them to stop calling BUT they keep coming! PLEASE PLEASE STOP!!!! I WORK AT NIGHT AND I CAN'T SLEEP DURING THE DAY DUE TO THEIR NON-STOP CALLS!!!
I answered the phone and a hideous pulsating noise eminated from the handset. Later that evening I was visited by the Mothman who took my soul.
leaves a tone on my answering machine. calls many times a day. im losing interest in dell.
These people are Pooh Pooh Heads......
Calls every day 2 to 3 times. Will not answer unknown name.
Dell Preferred wanting to sell credit protection
makes sense that it would be Dell. Just bought a new computer and they just don't understand I don't want an extended warranty.
call, machine picks up, nobody speaks
We have purchased three Dell computers for both personal and business use during the past five years. For the past couple of months, they call us incessantly - all day, all night. They never leave a message and it has gotten to the point where we would not buy another piece of Dell equipment if they were the last computer maker on the planet.
Dell just wants more of your money. If you have already done prior business with them then there isn't much that you can do about this one.
It's Dell trying to tell you about your Dell Preferred credit plan. If you have purchased a PC through them recently they usually will up your credit limit and call to try to sell you accessories for it.
Since it's from Dell they were apparently calling about the piece of crap they sold me for $1500 that has not worked right for the entire 4 months I have had it.
I got this number ringing today could not reach it in time they did not leave a message ,and it will not return the call.
Yes, it is a company trying to sell credit protection from dell. On the do not call list also but found out that even if you are, they can still legally call if you have a dell credit acct because you are considered to have a business relationship with dell and their subsidaries
I've been receiving these calls for months now, and they call atleast 3 times a day!! I finally answered today after reading this post. When I asked what the call was regarding I got "We're just calling with a courtesy call" after which I had to pump "a courtesy call for what?" and was told "a new special offer for your Dell prefered account". Hmmmmm...couldn't they just say that up front????
I am on the Nat/St DNC list but they called because i have current business w/ Dell. FYI: They will keep calling unless you ASK to be removed from their calling list. Being on the DNC list won't help if you have current business with them or have had in the last 6 months.
Currently getting the call 1-3 times daily. Mostly from 5pm to 830pm. Sent the email off to Dell so we'll see what happens. On the do not call list as well.
I answered the call and hear fax machine noise, so I hung up.
this number calls me non-stop everyday. doesn't matter if you answer the phone or not.
Attempted to get the person's name, when I asked they abruptly hung up.
They call a million times a day for me...my grandparents live with me and they always hang up when my grandfather answers. We called the number back and they claimed they never called. Have reported the number to my phone company and if the we receive one more call, I will be calling the police. Don't know who they are, and I really don't care.
Bought a computer system from Dell but I didn't sign up for this harrassment. Calls up to 5 times daily.
Calls 3-4 times a day varies from morning to evening.
Its Dell "Credit protection services"
If you see this number on your caller ID answer it ad they will put you on a no call list. Its a 3rd party agency trying to sell credit protection.
We get this call at least 1 time a day. We don't answer it either because it says unknown.
UNKNOWN NAME
Someone from Dell
Already pain account off in full last month, still want to sell stuff. I told them I would order on line when I needed something.(will pay w/ visa share check card.. Dell interest too high!)
I have caller ID and do not answer calls from those I do not know. This number has come up on my ID quite frequently Today at 9:30 AM (Nov. 28,'06)was the most recent.
I do have a Dell but have paid on time. Is this strictly a number from Dell or do other telemarketers use it?
Thanks,
Charlotte Partin\
JPartin@sc.rr.com
Same here. Annoying!
THEY CALL DAILY,I WILL NOT ANSWER. THEY CAN LEAVE A MESSAGE IF IT IS SO IMPORTANT.
They call every day & night. I am on the do not call list.
Called for my husband. this is not the first call. there have been numerous calls for over a month. I had to recheck to make sure I was on the "Do Not Call List", which I am. they are a nuisance
I WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE IF I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.
Up unitl this point I had been very impressed with Dell. Disappointing that they participate in telemarketing of this nature. Get off my phone!
I am on the Do Not Call List. Calls 3-4 times a day.
told them if they called one more time i will stop paying my dell cc...and i don't give a ra if they sue me....calls stopped
Get a call from this phone number several times a day! Caller ID says not provided...I am on the do not call list-thought they couldnt call!
Was Dell credit card people trying to sell account protection insurance
We get calls 2-3 times daily beginning at 8:00 am until 8:00 pm. It is very annoying.
calling at least 3-4 times per day.
i never answer.
i am on do not call list as well...
Also calling us at least 3x a day.
Calls 3-4 times a day. I am on the Do Not Call list.
Assured Solutions/Dell Preferred actually returned the call because I'm learning that all of these 800 #s are nothing but telemarketing & I ask to be put on their Privacy No Call List, which will take a couple days to process thru the system.
Turns out the number is from
Assured Solutions/Dell Preferred Account Customer Service
I requested to be added to "Privacy" list.
Was previously calling 2-3 times a day
