Calls a couple of time a day for a couple of days, then stops for a few weeks, the does it again. I'm a countrywide customer. They want me to refinance to a significantly higher interest rate, if they give me an insignificant discount on there inflated fees. What a Joke!!!

i made the mistake of answering one of their solicitations to refinance at "incredible client rates" . . . after i found out the rates were higher than i am currently paying i told them i wasn't interested. Since then (3 weeks ago) i get calls twice a week.
It's Countrywide they seem to always call me soon after I access my account online.

Who are these people and why are they calling me? The are calling from 302-737-9533. They call at least twice a week. Im sick of it.
If this is indeed Countrywide, then I am in agreement with Mr. Laster. Shame on them for using such tactics.
Just called them back to reiterate that as a Cwide customer I have taken great pains to tell them that I do NOT want any marketing calls whatsoever. The thickly accented rep who answered said that because the calls are automated, they are prone to "system problems" that cause hang-ups. "Like this?" I replied, hanging up. I do miss the days when you could truly slam down a phone, LOL!

Its CountryWide via a telemarketing firm. 1.Update your # with something creative like an efax#. 2.register on the "Do not call list." 3.Ask them for the "wash number" which is a number given to them by the Gov. do not call system when they cross check their database-they can call a customer but not HARASS you which in my case was three calls a day for weeks if not months now. 4.Cell phone "do not call list" and/or SKYPE them out
I have had a lot of calls from this Number. I don't answer unidentified calls for anyone. If this is Country Wide, then I now understand why they are in finanical trouble!!

Okay, so thanks to this site, I found out its Countrywide (my mortgage company).
But, if they were a reputable company, why the hell don't they list their caller ID info? They look like scammers by not giving this info.

Countrywide Mortgage. Returned call from caller ID list. Got foreign-sounding accent who said he would take me off the call list but it would take up to 30 days. They have a local office - I'm tempted to go knock on their door and run off for every time they call me.
this is Countrywide...they keep calling...I will not answer as the caller id says unavailable...if they need you...put your name and business..otherwise I will not answer....complete waste of time...

800 service aka Countrywide Home Loans. No body in the company seems to know how to turn this damn thing off. Apparently it takes a month to get off the list...and it has been 2 months and I am still getting the calls. Sue these mofos!
I'm a Countrywide customer, too. They call several times a day about "promotional offers." I asked them not to call but they still do. Now I answer via mute speaker only and no one is there. It's just a computer call and if you answer they'll put a live person on. I'll never use CW again!

I too am a customer of CountryWide, not by choice, they bought my mortgage. They call everyday, sometimes twice a day. I read somewhere the hang ups after you take the time to answer are because their phone system has automatic dialing and not enough reps to pick up once they've gotten an answer (they only expect a small percentage of us to answer). I have also taken to filing a complaint of each and every number to the DoNotCall Registry. It only takes a few minutes. The more complaints, the better chance they'll get fined!
Please cease and desist, discontinue, or however you want to put it. They wake me up while I'm sleeping so I can be rested to go to work. If I want something from Countrywide, I'LL CALL THEM. Thank you, good-Bye.
Next time they call, try this. Think of the most raunchy prank call you have heard on the net, tv or radio and have at it. Pretend not to speak English. Tell them to hold on and never come back. Act like you are totally crazy. Answer the telephone as if they called a hotline for people suffering from a constant masturbation problem. Just see, they keep calling and I keep abusing.

I've received calls from this number daily and sometimes several times a day for who-knows-how-long. Until finding this site I never knew it was Countrywide. Called them to get taken off their call list - as usual, they said it would take up to 30 days. We'll see.

These people call and call and call. Once I picked up and heard a recording. But usually there is no one at the other end of the line. These people are beyond obnoxious. If this is Countrywide, it saddens me to know we're customers of a company with such abysmal business ethics.

I get at least two calls daily from this 877-371-2775, which shows up as "Unknown Name". Any time I choose to answer, there is no one there (!@#$%^&*). Only found out it was Countrywide by this website. Am flabbergasted by their lack of courtesy.
This is from Countrywide. They bought my mortgage. They do these harassing phone calls, and have the most ubiquitous and annoying commercials on TV. (Well, next to those stupid "male enhancement" scammers.) I would never voluntarily do business with them.
If you are a customer of CountryWide, a marketing company (retained by them) will call you regularly to solicit 2nd mortgages.

It's Countrywide... and they are a horrible mortgage company! We've dealt with them... and refinanced with another company just to get out! Horrible experience... and they KEEP CALLING because we once did business with them. So they don't count for us under DO NOT CALL! >:o(
Everytime I log into our account and view information they start calling on weekends, evenings, etc. If I want to speak with them, I'll call them.
Someone mentioned Country Wide Loans. My mortgage is through them. It's probably them wanting me to refinance or something... I ignored it since it came up as a toll free #.

You can still get calls from political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors.
A company can call you for up to 18mths after you have done business with them.
DNC List says it takes up to 3 months for someone not to call you. Most companies don't call after 30 days. Write down all information of when you told them to stop calling, time, date, who you spoke to.
Your number is only on the list for 5 yrs after that you must resubmit it again to not get calls.

Even when I pick up no one speaks...I feel like they are getting a survey of when I am home so I can be bothered by all advertisers. They must now sell times that people are home. I get lots and lots of hangups. I am on the do not call list.

I only have a couple of years left on my mortgage with Countrywide. I will not use them for the next mortgage and tell all business contacts the same if they don't want to be harrassed at home by these people.
I too am a customer of countrywide and if this number belongs to them, then I will be blocking them from calling in the future. Its a sad day when you have to block calls from your own mortgage company

Two calls today so far (1:16 and 4:12). I am a customer, but not by choice. Countrywide bought my mortgage from another mortgage firm. I do not consider this to be a voluntary two way business relationship, as I had no say in the matter. I am considering filing a formal complaint in the courts.

They called on 01/11/2007 at 4:59pm CST. My caller ID said "Out of Area". After Googling the phone number and finding out who they were from this site, I called the number back, pressed "1" to speak to a customer representative, and told them to put me on their "do not call list". The gentleman on the other end was very polite and assured me I would stop receiving calls from this number.

Countrywide is a marketing MACHINE! They are the largest mortgage company in the US and they are annoying as hell! I get phone calls and emails AND snail mail telling me that I have a LOT of equity in my home and that they are SURE that I want to open a Home Equity Loan or Line of Credit. GEEZ! I have equity because I don't take their STINKIN' offers! Thanks a WHOLE PANT LOAD! Go POUND SAND PEOPLE!

Came to this web site after being called constantly (and not answering). Low and behold, they are my mortgage company. Called them back and talked to an agent, told her to take my number off their call list immediately and if the calls did not cease I would stop doing business with them. She apologized, told me i was placed on their do not call list, and said it would take up to 30 days to take effect with all their marketing affiliates. We'll see what happens...

Have repeatedly - almost daily - received calls one or more times a day from this number over the past 3 months or more. Caller ID shows "Toll Free Call." Finally called back and confirmed that it is Countrywide. Told them that I was on the Do Not Call registry for years, and was - and never will be - a customer of theirs. Submitted a complaint through the Do Not Call registry web site, and will do so for every repeat call. Would recommend other non-customers do likewise. What a sleaze operation.
They called me early in the afternoon. I pick up all calls but no one spoke and we were disconnected..showed up as "unavailable". I am a Countrywide customer but have told them over and over that I don't want to refinance or apply for a home equity loan...
caller posed as Countrywide Mortgage rep. Asked me to verify my address. When I told him that since he called I can't verify, he terminated the call.
I received several calls again today on my Caller ID. I called back once again and demanded they remove my name and number TODAY, not tomorrow and not the next day but TODAY. I ended up speaking to a supervisor and she said it could take several days to manually delete my name and number.
She also asked me if I was a customer of Countrywide and I asked her what that had to do with it. She said she can pull up my records. I told her that according to this site, there are people being called that are not customers so that in my opinion has nothing to do with the calls I am getting.

I am also a Countrywide customer and agree that if a company expects me to answer a call on a *specific account-related matter* and not some promotion, they need to show a Caller ID company name. Otherwise, I don't accept them. That's the risk these companies take.

Caller from this number left me a creepy, 3 second whispering message. It freaked my kid out. That's the only reason I called that number back. A rep from Countrywide picked up and I angrily complained about it and the rep apologized and acknowledged that their sales and mktg. reps were at fault. Rep said they will track the call down for me. Also asked if I wanted to be taken off the call list but also asked for address info etc. I have the creepy message saved in a .wav file if they choose to bother us again.

After answering and receiving one of the "hang up" type calls from this number I got peeved and called them back after I found this site. I talked to a service rep named Jennifer, told her I'd been on both the Federal and TN Do Not Call lists and was not pleased to have gotten a hang-up call from them. (What sense does it make to not talk when someone answers anyway?) I further said I would not tolerate any more. She took my number for exclusion from their lists, informed me it could take up to 30 days to come off their list. At that point I told her that since I was on two DNC lists and had never done business with them I should never have been called in the first place and did not expect to be called again.
Silly thing thanked me for "doing business with Countrywide Home Loans" as she signed off.
It came up as "Unknown Name", at 11:55 am.

Vonage just lists it as 800 service. I am a Countrywide customer and know thye want me to refi my home loan. I have a very low rate and have 3 years left on my ARM. They really want me to refi to a higher interest rate. I don't even answer them anymore.

When I answered the phone I heard a recorded message saying "press 1 to enter the monitoring service". Out of curiosity, I pressed 1 and an agent came on the line. I am a current Countrywide customer so I don't think it's a "do not call" violation for them to call me.
I am so tired of calls where they will not identify themselves on caller ID. I no longer even answer them. If they want an answer, don't play games with caller id.

Since I am a Countrywide customer the rules allow Countrywide to call me. But since the Caller ID only says "TOLL FREE CALL" and a phone number I will never answer such calls. If a company expects me to answer a call they better put a company name. I am also one of those people who do not accept Anonymous or Private calls.
