Who Called Us

I wasn't home when they called. Didn't know who it was. Searched the phone number and found this site.

I got fed up with them calling and reported them to the Michigan Attorney General, I suggest you do the same. Here is the response I received:

Dove is a Michigan 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was organized in 1991 to encourage and promote the creation, production and distribution of wholesome family entertainment. Dove’s current efforts include a phone campaign to conduct an entertainment survey regarding the entertainment beliefs and practices of families across the country, and a campaign to unite concerned families with companies that provide positive entertainment for the home. Additional information about Dove is available at dove.org.

Mr. Lowe complains that Dove called his Damascus, Virginia home on May 14, 2007 even though he is on the national no-call list. He wants no further calls.

Dove records confirm that it attempted a call to Mr. Lowe at the time alleged, but the call was not answered. The call was part of the entertainment survey described above. Based upon this complaint, Dove has put Mr. Lowe (276.475.3690) on its internal no-call list. Dove will not call again.

I never answer calls I don't recognize, especially 800, 877, etc. numbers.

A lady called around 6:45pm, Just when I ready to ask, she hang up . .

They've called before. My telezapper got them. Maybe we should spam them at the "dove foundation"?.

They are calling Canadians too and nothing would please me more than to shatter the stereotype that we are too 'nice' to be rude. Doesn't it become a federal offence once a person/entity starts harassing another nation? LOL

Cami is still calling everyday.
This scam is North American wide.
In this call Cami is actually a real person not an IVR.

I have received repeated phone calls from this number but I never answer a number I do not know. Very glad I didn't.

I'm in Canada and they have called the last 3 days exactly at the same times.She asks for me by name and leaves a message asking for the lady of the house.

got the call from 877-291-7322 they said she was cammie and they were asking for not sure of the name. told them they ahd a wrong number. ti snot the first time they've called and I'm on the DNC list

Call from "Cammie" asking to speak with lady of the house. It was a machine. Do you know of anyone who has succesfully sued telemarketers operating under false pretenses?

Like everyone else here -- I got an unsolicited call from the DOVE foundation even though I am on the Do Not Call List. If this is a "charity," it's hanging on to that category by the skin of its yellow teeth.

Same call here in SoCal on my biz line, I heard this is a conservative charity fundraising.

I recently switched to Cox digital phone. They have a service for "selective call blocking". I entered this # today. It will never ring through again. I have never had any trouble with phone service and the peace of mind blocking offers is worth the extra couple bucks a month.

Didn't answer the phone...don't pick up 800#'s or any others not recongized in our house. My number is also unlisted and on the DO NOT CALL list - looks like that doesn't help much.

Why do these people get away with calling numbers that are on the Do Not Call list? List?

The phone ringing, the Caller ID Show “Out Of Area 877-291-7322”, I seen that number before, but never left message, I answer it this time about 9am. A woman called and behalf of the Dove Foundation; I ask what her name is? She wants to talk to the lady of the house, I ask who’s calling? she said “It only take 90sec. of your time.” I told her to take me phone number off of her calling list, I am in the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY; She gets quite for a sec., I told her stop calling. She take over me, she start reading what she wants me to hear, some things about voice movie, game, etc…… are bad for our children, before she finish I talk over her, STOP CALLING than hung up, after I hung up the phone, I report this number to the National Do Not Call Registry donotcall.gov

A woman called on behalf of the Dove Foundation and started asking questions about my family. I told her not to call again and to put my number on their do-not-call list. Rudely, she said they will call again, then she hung up while I was still talking. Filed a complaint on-line with the Michigan Attorney General (go to michigan.gov/ag, click on "file a complaint") as "investigator" reported in this forum that Dove is based in Michigan. The more complaints we file, the sooner they will be stopped.

Very respectful. Short call. Tell you up front that they're not going to ask for money. Ask permission to have a group trying to get more family friendly movies produced place a 3-minute call to you later. That call would tell you how you can help.

I received a call asking for the lady or man of the house, when I asked how they got my number they said they were a charity exempt from the Do Not Call Registry and were looking for people interested in improper entertainment. When I said we did not care what kind of entertainment was on the woman hung up.

This is a first call from this company but since I didn't recognize it, I did a Google and got this page.

We are harassed daily by a bunch of these telemarketers. I don't pick the phone up, but it doesn't help. The Do Not Call list is useless. This must be stopped-NOW.

Putting your name on the (Do NOT CAll LIST)is a sure fire way to get more and more calls. Nothing you do can make them stop calling you because the goverment no longer cares about your privacy.

Keeps calling. I answered one day and talked to someone who started questioning me, asking for the lady of the house. I told her I was on a DO NOT CALL list and was not interesting in talking to her. She apologized for calling, so far they haven't called me back.

They called me and asked for me by name. Since I didn't know who they were, I said that "she" wasn't home. What is the Dove Foundation?? I'm on the do not call list, so why are they calling???

I had received numerous calls from this number in the past from the Dove Foundation. They asked to speak with me, by name. I told them that I had spoke to them on numerous occasions and now it was getting out of hand. I had registered on the DNC list and asked them NOT to call me anymore and to take my number off their list. I get more calls from them than my own family !! Something needs to be done with these companies .....

We got a call from this number but didn't answer. From reading this I am glad we didn't. The number is now set to ..NO RINGTONE. That is how we take care of callers we don't want to hear from. We only have cell phones...don't know if a landline can do this.

877-297-7322 called me again at 8:15 am & they call me every week & late at night 11:45pm. Who can I report this to. My number is unlisted & on DNC registry.

"Cammie" called from the Dove Foundation. Asked for me by name and wanted to speak to the "lady of the house." When I told her I was on the national DNC list, she said she'd remove my name and promptly hung up before I could say anything else. Rude!

A women called that was from DOVE

I answered the call and a woman asked for my wife by name. She was from Dove and wanted my wife to take a 60 second survey about family values on TV. When my wife declined she was indigant and said good bye.

I keep receiving calls from this number, am on the do not call list but the calls come anyway. 'Unknown name' on the caller id, I don't answer them, but get continuous calls!

Received yet another call on this date. Didn't pick up from my call screen, as wwe don't participate in 800 calls. This is Dove's second attempt to raise me based on the previous comments made here.

Called not picked up from my message machine. Recorded the number 877-291-7322. Checking this forum, I see others been bothered too. Had I intercepted the call I would have requested their name, and how they got this number, since I am on national do not call. A lot of good it did to be on national do not call. I get more bothersome calls now than if I didn't sign up for do not call.

Said they were the Dove Foundation. asked for my wife by name and then started asking a lot of questions. Wife told them we had leave for an appointment. They said they would call back.

Receptionist is a nice person but only will tell you that she is a customer service rep for a fund raising organization. She will agree to take you phone number to be added to the no call list.

First thing you should know is that Cammie Argyle is not a person, but a computer (IVR system). The calls are almost certainly financed by Feature Films For Families of Murray, Utah. The Missouri Attorney General has obtained a restraining order prohibiting residents in his state from being called. The utimate aim of these calls is to get you to buy wholesome entertainment from First Films. Placing an online complaint at the Michigan Attorney General's web site will get you off the list. Dove Foundation is out of Grand Rapids, MI. FFF's lawyers handle the complaint out of Murray, Utah.

I got a call from this same number wanting to speak to the person in charge of my home. I told them I was on the do not call list and they said they would remove my number, and then I asked who they were, what company and this woman hung up right away. I told Dove who has been calling me for months. Three times in Feb and every month since then. I have told them over and over not to call and they keep calling.

They will just say that they are a charity and have a right to call. I hung up

This is a SCAM company under the guise of the DOVE Foundation. Do not give them ANY information.

I'm getting tired of the loopholes in the state & national 'no call' lists.
