How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I returned the call; it was Sprint. My contract with sprint is up, and they're trying to get me to re-up. Anyway, for returning the call, they gave me a $5 credit on my next bill.
Yup, Sprint/Nextel telemarketing. Here's (sort of) how the verbal exchange went:
"Is this xxx?";
"Could you please tell me what this is in reference to?";
"It's about your account. First could you tell me if this is xxx?";
"I won't say who this is until you tell me what this call is about; If it's a sales call, then I'm not interested";
"This is not a sales call, you already have an account with us. Can you tell me if this is xxx?";
"I said I won't say if it is or not until you tell me what this call is about";
"Well I won't tell you what this call is about until you tell me if this is xxx";
(this silly stalemate went back and forth a few more times);
"Well can you at least leave a message then?";
"OK";
"Tell him that he is elegible for (discount, blah blah)";
Talk about obnoxious and manipulative...
I just called this number back and spoke to customer service. They were actually able to get me a better plan for my phones and save me some money so....this is not necessarily a bad thing.
It is Sprint/Nextel. I figured it was because my contract is up in a few months.... but they call every day around the same time EVERY - DAMN - DAY! Today is Saturday morning and they called me again... I think now that I found this post, I'll answer, explain I'm not interested, and hopefully they stop calling.
Called 2 times this week...no message no nothing. Very annoying, calling more and more frequently.
It is Sprint...Who knows why they are calling. They called my cell and then less than a minute later called my home phone. They call at least once a day. So tired of this.
Keeps calling weekly and not leaving voice mail. Im guessing its SPRINT, from what everyone is saying. I just try to ignore it.
I returned the call (my bill was overdue at the time, but paid it before I made the call). I was told by the person that answered they are the courtesy call department. They told me I was eligible for a credit if I renewed my service.
Sprint Telemarketing... (again)..
This is Sprint. The automated voicemail that I get requests that I call them back to discuss an urgent matter. When I call Sprint, they acknowledge that I do not have a current, or past due account with them. Since I have neither, they have no way to turn off the automated calls. HELP
It must be Sprint as I have read your comments. My contracts are up, so now I will write them and cancel if they call again!
Thank you for the comments!
It appears to be sprint billing/customer service.
They claimed to be Sprint Nextel but asked me for my account password. I refused and the woman said have a nice and ended the call.
I didn't answer the number I did not recognize on my cell phone. Less than 5 minutes later they called my home phone. Sprint/Nextel telemarketing.
NONE
I called the number back and found out that it was Sprint, so I hung up.
Sprint. Egnore, it's a promo call for a new phone. They should figure out how to make what they have work correctly before venturing out in to new product lines.
Interesting to see this is Sprint. I don't have any Sprint services, so they shouldn't have my number.
They are relentless! I haven't answered yet and they call everyday.
I returned the call. It is Sprint. They called regarding customer service. If you don't call back, they will keep calling. I received a phone call from them every day for 2 weeks!
Returned the call. It's Sprint. I recently changed my Nextel billing address -- possibly related?
