How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

CALLED MY NEIGHBORS AND ASKED THEM TO LEAVE A NOTE ON MY DOOR TO CALL KAREN RICHARDSON A THIS NUMBER. WHO ARE THEY AND WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY DOING CALLING NEIGHBORS, DID SOMEONE DIE?
1st called house 3 days ago--left message. Called neighbor today and had them give message. Have not received anything in the mail yet.
They are Capital One
This phone number was left on my voicemail. I called it back and the PBX said it was URS.
same here, called asking for a way to contact one of my neighbors. just left me with their name (Mark Long) and their number with an extention to give to pass on.
Called me saying they were trying to reach one of my neighbors. They did not say why, but left a name (Eric Wells), number and extension.
I just received an email from my brother on the other side of the country saying I need to call this number. They told him it was regarding benefits. I had applied with URS (the parent company of EG&G and an engineering firm) so I called the number. Its a collection agency for Capital One.
I just got a call from my GRANDMOTHER who is being harrassed by URS because of a Capital One card. They are going through a phone book and calling anyone with my last name. This is crazy!
This company has not mailed me anything, then called me twice before I could return the call.
Then before I could return the call they called my daughter's in-laws. How crazy is that.
This cap one card is 8 years old and has nothing to do with my daughter, her inlaws or anyone else.
They also had my husbands cousin and my ex-husband of 8 years. Could provide me with no backup is debt

They are both greedy companies. You will get nothing for dealing with them.
