How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

They call and call and call but NEVER leave a message. Sounds unethical and like "harassment" to me.
These people keep calling me at all hours, they're Discover business card. I have told them I'm not interested and to take me off their list, but unfortunately they keep calling anyway. I'm thinking seriously about turning them in to my local state's attorney and filing charges against them, then suing them so maybe they'll quit. They call at least 3 or 4 times a week despite having been told not to call back.
Have asked twice recently for them to take my number off their call list. So far, they have not complied with my request. They call to solicit taking over my credit card business. I don't accept credit cards in my business.
Asked for me by name, I said "you got him", they said thanks, click.

I answered the call with my name & usual company greeting but no one spoke a word on the other end. I remained silent to see what would happen and heard muffled laughter from caller and background noises of other telemarkerters in their office but caller never did say a word. After listening for several minutes to see if I could hear a clue of some kind to find out who was calling, (so I could report them) I finally hung up. What is the poing of calling us, other than harrassment? They really ARE freaks!
Called at 2:36pm, answered and informed Discover card we weren't interested in what they were selling. She told me I didn't even know what they were selling. I said it's either a credit card or a loan, either way we aren't interested. She tried to get pushy and tell me she wanted to speak to someone less "unprofessional". I told her to shove it. Guess she didn't like me telling her to take us off their calling list!
I have a DBA and suspect they were attemtping to sell a business credit card.
Called them back and they answered "thank you for calling Discover Credit Card"
We got several calls from this number over the past few days but no one ever answered on the other end. I called them back and it was Discover Card Business. I told them to take us off their call list, we'll see if the calls continue.

Called at 9:30 AM EST. I didn't pick up, but wouldn't be surprised if it was Discover card.

Didn't answer, don't intend to. Was surprised to find nothing here about the owner of this number.
