I have had it with Register.com. I lost my best domain name with them even though I had automatic renew. Now they are pestering me with calls even though I already asked them to stop calling me. I am transfering to networksolutions, first year free then 35/year.

I have Vonage for phone service & it gives the whole number which showed an '011' exchange. I called back without the 011 (never call an international number!) and it IS Register.Com She said their account reps were probably calling because they have specials that are only good over the phone...blah- blah. Anyway, I said that's fine but we really don't want any sales calls & to please remove our phone number from all call lists. She was very pleasant & apologized for any annoying calls that we got. She emphasized it may take up to 48 hours to be updated & completely removed from their system.
People- you have got to stop being VICTIMS & take control of situations that annoy you. Don't look to Do Not Call, it is as joke & doesn't work. Websites like this are how you fight back. Do a little research figure out who is calling and handle it- No one is going to handle it for you. Especially not the government!!

We have had our website listed with this company for 13 years. Only recently, the past year, have they begun harrassment tactics for domain name renewal. They call daily beginning about 4 months BEFORE renewal is due, and even after renewal is completed, they continue to call at least twice per week to try and aggressively sell us on a multiple year renewal. This company used to be good, now it is like dealing with a bunch of screaching seagulls! Last fall, I told one particularly rude and aggresive young woman who called that we had just had a death in the family and to please stop pestering me. She went on with her spiel, even asking me to "explain" myself about why I never renew for more than a year at a time. I HATE these people and we are trying to find a comparable domain registry service. Our only revenge is to take our business elsewhere.

So. Is there a way to get them to knock it off?

I never pick up my cell phone when this number is calling. No messages are submitted to my voicemail. I decided to call them back, and it says it is Register.com "approved by JGW & Associates" I am calling them back as I type this, but I am currently on hold with cheesy waiting music.

Register.com trying to tell me that my CC payment for a domain name was declined. I logged into register.com and it says all my domains are current and not due for renewal for at least 2 years. Scam looking for CC number?

They left no messages. I recently purchased a domain name from Register.com. *uckers! This is my cell phone!

This is Register.com trying to get you to renew your web hosting account with them. They are idiots who think it is fun to abuse their internal client phone list. Well, they lost my business.

They (Register.com) are tring to contact me to answer a question I had. But I don't know who they when the call comes in when I'm not here to answer. They don't leave a message and caller ID says "Unknown Name"!

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
