Who Called Us

Well it seems to me, if the caller ID comes up "name unavailable", it can't be really THAT important from their end, now does it????? AND it would seem to me that they're trying to HIDE something (not letting their name be shown on the caller ID), Hmm-m-m-m-m-m-m-m, YEP, it sounds like some kind of SCAM to me. I guess a good name for their site could be "NoBalls.com"........... A scam, no doubt.....

THIS IS A SCAM. My wife answered the phone and they asked for her by name. They also had the last for digits of our credit card number. How did they get that? We never gave it out to them. A week later, 4 charges appear on my VISA card to some one in Florida. We never authorized them to charge the card. We canceled our card and are currently filing a report to the bank about the fraudulent charges. DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER!!!!

called my cell 1504. Did not answer because I recognized the prefix. If word got around that having a credit card makes these ppl call unmercifully, it puts a very bad light on credit card companies. Using a credit card on the internet makes telemarketers (and these days, fraud ones) call like crazy and using your credit card in person makes you get junk mail; you just can't win.

I am sick and tired of these calls coming into my job. I can't even purchase one single item off my Visa care without being tormented with phone calls from these people and I don't even get a chance to ask for the Supervisor because they disconnect from you before you can say much of anything.

new one today; I didn't answer & they left no message.

They called stating they needed to veify my address, so they could send me $100.00 worth of gift cards for WALMART. They stated they needed to verify my address with credit card number _ _ _ _. They had the last 4 digits of my card number. I asked them how they got it. He/She told me they got it when I ran my card at the store. They called several times, also used number (866) 439-3581. When I call back the numbers are busy.

I receive at least 5 calls a day for the last couple months from this number. When I answer nobody talks and sometimes a recording say's "all representitives are currently busy". I call back the number to see who it is but all I get is busy signals. I'm sure this is some kind of scam but can't figure out how it works. I've just quit answering the call when I see this number. I've been searching the internet trying to find out who own's this number but have been un-successful until finding this site.

This is about the 30th call I have received from 4 different 866 toll free numbers in two weeks! This time, on a Sat. I answered the phone and no hangup! instead I heard lots of "call center noise" in the backround and a woman came on and asked for me by name! She said she was with "platinum rewards" and I said, Oh, really? and she hung up. Perhaps this is a large group trying to verify my identity and anyone elses' to use. I suggest if you ever get a person, saying that that named person is not there and they have the wrong number. I should have done this myself. But, I was sounding in disbelief and didnt get to tell them they had no right to call as I am now on the "do not call" list.

got 3 calls from this number but no one is talking

They called and had the last 4 digits of my CC name and address. They said that they were from Platinum Rewards and that I had done business with one of their merchants that qualies me for a $100 Walmart Gift card. They said that it would be $4.95 to get it out to me. He was pushy, when I asked him to hold on he hung up on me. I called the number back, and it rang, then went busy. Do not give them ANY information.

This number calls my cell at least 5 times a day, never leaves a message, is always busy if I try to call back.
I have had calls from other similar numbers with the same results. The calls do not stop so I am forced to call my cell provider and have the number blocked.

They knew the last four of my card number but had mistaken my last name for my girlfriend's last name. I hope they get a splinter in their most used finger.

Another one of those auto dialed, hang up as soon as you answer the phone kind of calls. I don't get how these fools make money on their scams when they have to pay for so many connected calls and don't even talk to anyone.
