Every one knows that our life is high priced, however people require money for different things and not every man gets big sums money. Thence to receive some lowest-rate-loans.com and consolidation loans should be a proper solution.

this phone number (503-000-0000) called my daughter cell phone all most every day, I did report to DO NOT CALL, it seems this doesn't work. They still called my daughter every day. Who knows how to stop them?

2008-09-16 15:47:30 UTCCher

When I answered phone,,it was an automated message identifying as RPM,,saying I needed to call back at designated times during business hours,,,,,not happening!!

2008-08-12 20:12:19 UTCLisa

I called the 1800 number a gentlemen answered and I said very polietly someone tried to call me from this number he asked for the number called I gave it to him (it is my cell) and he said we are actually looking for a Gary Swensen. I told the guy I have had this number since December and it is a cell phone. He said we will remove the number I thanked him now lets see if I get more calls

2008-05-15 20:39:35 UTCDC

They call here 2 or 3 times a week with a recording that says "call back", they never give a name of the person they are looking for and I have no intentions of calling these people back because once you call back on their 800# they have your phone # on their long distance bill the next month.

2008-04-24 17:54:35 UTCJen

866-637-1808 is a collection agency! A 3rd party ~ bought your old debt ~ from Verizon whom is not capable of handling disputed matters. Instead they sell it to one schmuck collection company after another for 6 long years!

2008-04-19 19:16:17 UTCma.fernanda

Called saying to avoid any further contact, pelase return the call during business hours, i called back and they only told me to leave a message.

A call from 503-000-0000 refers to return call number 866-637-1808...what is right? the 503-000-0000 ot the 866-637-1808...

2007-11-05 21:56:01 UTCleah n carl

they called us repeatedly and there was a woman that answered. it is a scam,do not call them back we called monday about 3 pm. and if you call you can leagally tell them to take you off thier list if they dont then tell them that you will sue. still unclear as to what they want, but they said that they were looking for someone else. oregon 503-000-0000, is a scam....... they were very offended when my husband called them out as a scam.

2007-10-15 22:11:56 UTCBJ

I have been getting a call from 503-000-0000 daily for over a month now I have been ignoring it

2007-10-15 18:52:02 UTCJ

I've been getting a call a day for the past three days from this number. I have no affiliaton with ASCI nor have I recieved anything in the mail. They don't leave messages so, I'm not calling them back. If it's important or legit they can reach me by mail OR leave a message

2007-10-09 18:27:28 UTCsara

Ever wonder where drug addicts, prison parolees, and newly released mental patients go? They become debt collectors....oh.....that's why they are BRAIN DEAD DIRTBAGS!

2007-09-30 23:26:04 UTCStunned

I've been having these people cal about once a week. It's doubly insuting since we cleaned our credit up years ago and haven't missed a a single pament on much of anythign in years. These people ar eleaches and I plan to turn them ove rto every agency I can think of if I can't get them to quit calling. I figure they should be the next target now that telemarketing (except for politicians) has been pretty much outlawed. More than likely they are just lowlife telemerketing execs that went into a new business using their old equipment.

2007-09-22 04:55:55 UTCC

Just moved and received a new phone number and began receiving calls from these people (as well as others) within a week. The recorded message doesn't say who they're looking for, just says they're looking for "you" and you had better call them or they'll keep harassing you. Called back at the number given in the recording and there was no answer. I'll try calling again on Monday and if they give me any flak I'll tell them the truth -- I'm an attorney and they'd better do as I tell them or there'll be hell to pay.

2007-09-15 16:53:23 UTCSally

Calling daily (caller id 503-000-0000) even after being told that the person no longer lives here. When their call is answered won't say what their call is regarding. Otherwise no message left.

2007-09-15 16:31:17 UTCCarla

Wow, how annoying can these people be. I blocked the 503 number and they started calling using different numbers. After numerous calls, at all hours, I finally spoke to them. They refused to give me the name of their company when I told them I was on the National Do Not Call Registry. I suggest everyone that is on the registry file a complaint on the registry website. The numbers they used to call me were 866-448-8558 and 866-637-1808.

2007-09-10 21:55:39 UTCSmith

Been receiving calls from the 503-000-0000 number daily for at least three months. On principle, I never answer for a number I don't recognize, and this was clearly a scam. But after doing some searching, I listened to the message and gave them a call back at the 866-637-1808 number given. I said I'd been getting calls from the 503 number, they asked for my number and then asked if I knew a Craig (I don't, but I'm pretty sure it's the person who had the number before me). I was assured my number would be removed and that I would receive no further calls. We'll see.

2007-08-30 23:41:10 UTCMary

This 503 ID called again. It was a person this time. Saying they are with ACS and leaving a different number of 888-357-2131 and saying they were ACS. Don't say what they want & I don't intend to return the call.

2007-08-30 16:24:42 UTCtiredofthem

These guys have my cell number. They call my home and cell night and day. Some how they got my daughters name. She answered the phone once and they said they couldn't talk to her unless she was over 18yrs. She said she wasn't so now they call 3 diff numbers and let it ring then hang up! Bastards!
The FCC should here of these practices!
They just called!

2007-08-23 01:55:52 UTCAmanda

Caller ID shows 503-000-0000. Same 866 # given. Has anyone gotten a legitimate call from this operation?

2007-06-28 23:21:54 UTCjust me

this is who they are according to the lady i spoke to....

Active TeleSource · 10501 SE Main, Suite 200 · Milwaukie, Oregon · 97222
503.292.2077 · 888.357.2131 · FAX: 503.292.3633

they keep calling several times per week. they keep asking for personal info saying that they have sent mail. (which they have not)
they dont know anything other than a name and some address... they are looking for more info....dont give it to them....just keep them on the line a long time.(i put her on hold for a few minutes while i looked up stuff on the net.)
it was funny.

2007-06-03 18:26:06 UTCLaurie

One more note, there is a law about requiring your correct phone and company name on faxes in relation to Spamming, maybe auto-dialing should be added!

2007-06-03 18:24:02 UTCLaurie

This number has called twice, once this morning and a second time two weeks ago. I received the message about pressing 0 to speak to someone, but nothing happened. Even though the message said I would be given a number to call I was not. I called the 1-866 number from this listing and just got an answering machine without any identifying information, only to leave my information. I have an unlisted number, and suspect that they are using auto-dialers to gather idenitifying information for those of us that don't want to be called. I have nothing delinquent. Several months ago I had a similar instance with another calling number, but they were looking for another name and I didn't receive calls from them after that.

2007-05-21 00:17:57 UTCtom

ditto. 503-000-0000 caller id, 1866-637-1808 call back. standard message. used to phone for a while every other day and no switched to every other sunday.

2007-05-14 23:46:57 UTCA New Yorker

If your not answering calls from a known collection agency, this is another way or number for them to get you to answer the phone or call them back without knowing your calling the collection agency thats looking for you. DON'T PICK UP CALLS FROM 503-000-0000

2007-05-01 20:56:17 UTCLisa

Called back to tell them to stop calling. "Natasha of ACSI" answered after several rings. She said she was looking for someone named Lynn XXX (same last name as mine but different first name) and asked whether I'd heard of her. I said no, and she said I wouldn't be called again. I think it's probably this collection agency: acsi-collections.com -- it states on its Web site that it uses an automated calling system. The last time one of these things got hold of my number (again, looking for the wrong person), it called me night and day, often waking me up. The phone company told me it couldn't do anything about the calls. Grrrrrr ...

2007-05-01 16:00:24 UTCThree merged

This would explain the 3 geographic locations: Oregon, Washington, and Waltham, MA!

Read closely:

"co-founder of the Portland office of a regional collection agency headquartered in Kirkland, Washington since 1984 until a merger with a national agency and consolidation into the Kirkland operation in May of 1997."

This statement says the Oregon office was merged with the Washington office and a "National Agency"

Bingo?

I maintain the software developers are
Dewayne Hafenstein and/or Gary L. Clark, who Goran Samojlovski mentions.

Could he be the same Gary L. Clark mentioned here?

web1.seattle.gov

2007-05-01 15:45:07 UTCSpinOff Firm

Then again, the ACSI in Oregon could be a suboffice or spin-off of the Waltham, MA company...check this out and read between the lines!

activetelesource.com

Active Credit Services, Inc. and Active TeleSource, Inc. (collectively called The Active Group) were founded as corporations in Oregon in July 1997. Active’s president and founder, Goran Samojlovski, was managing partner and co-founder of the Portland office of a regional collection agency headquartered in Kirkland, Washington since 1984 until a merger with a national agency and consolidation into the Kirkland operation in May of 1997.

2007-05-01 15:42:08 UTCFive possible

Are there third, forth, & fifth possibilities or yet additional decoys to confuse State Attorney General's staffers investigating?

These five companies all seem to hide behind the initials ACSI. THIS IS NOT IDENTIFYING THEMSELVES...ASK FOR THE FULL NAME AND COMPANY LOCATION !

ACCREDITED COLLECTION SERVICE, INC. PAPILLION, NE

ACADEMY COLLECTION SERVICE, INC. PHILADELPHIA, PA

ACS RECOVERY SERVICES
primaxrecoveries.com

(part of acs-inc.com )

in addition to
ACTIVE CREDIT SERVICE INC
in MILWAUKIE, OREGON which has been discussed or

ACSI Revenue Management Corporation at
acsi-collections.com

which has also been discussed.

I believe it is the LAST COMPANY LISTED (Waltham, MA), given the sophistication of their predictive auto-dialer.

In addition, some of the alledged "shills" above have "press releases" with one line...but no full text! Looks fake to me...

activetelesource.com

2007-05-01 15:15:07 UTCAnotherACSI

Is this a decoy website & contacts?

theactivegroup.biz

activetelesource.com

There really is a Goran Samojlovski in Orgeon according to ussearch.com

But, why so many website names & unrelated businesses (other than the phone?) Looks like a decoy to throw off State Attorney Generals' staffies.

On this page, they claim they are a "1st party" & not a "3rd party" agency and therefore not subject to the Fair Debt Collection Protection Act:

activetelesource.com

This is about the FDCPA

en.wikipedia.org

I think the purpose of the Oregon leads is to act as a decoy for the Waltham, MA firm.

No question there are a lot of predators in this industry that could stand to learn from a dose of becoming prey.

2007-05-01 14:39:13 UTCHis 400k House

Pic of the house he's bought in Clark County, WA by writing software designed to track you down so others can harass you!

Well, the tracker has been tracked down! This guy has written software to harass MILLIONS of STRUGGLING AMERICANS, and MANY INNOCENT AMERICANS CHASED DOWN BY DEBT COLLECTION AGENCIES

Wonder how he's going to feel when he Google's his name one day and finds out he's tagged on the internet FOR LIFE as LOWER THAN AN IRS AGENT !

2007-05-01 14:26:48 UTCYUC Oregon

It's this guy in Washington state who designed the software & is spoofing the Oregon number:

Is there a law against spoofing a caller ID delivered number?

2007-04-30 20:46:30 UTCp.s.

This industry pretty much meets up only in Las Vegas..what a bunch of mobster wannabees. They are lovely human beings...they deserve this.

Use the computer at your local library or hotspot at Starbucks...and if they ask for a phone number? Use 503-000-0000 ! Or, better yet... 1-866-637-1808 !

2007-04-30 20:45:38 UTC....tions.com

So, how about a taste of their own medicine? Find an employee that should attend a Collection Agency Trade Conference listed on Columbia Ultimate's Site:
columbiaultimate.com

Here is a May '07 conference:
narca.org

Then enroll them, indicating payment will be by check. They will be invoiced at their company if you put the company address. But, if you look up their home address using tools like ussearch.com or anywho.com , you can use their home addresses & phone numbers. I'm sure these people will appreciate learning about the conference! And, if not...

When the Collection Trade Group doesn't get paid for attendance, hopefully they'll hire a Collection Agency to collect from Columbia Ultimate Business Systems employees! Again, here is a Collection Agents Conference at Caesar's Palace in May 2007:
narca.org

...I think it should be a don't miss event for everyone at columbiaultimate.com ! And, if you like, enroll a few people from acsi-collections.com ...or any other collection agency you think should attend this conference!

Maybe when Caesar's palace gets stiffed for a reserved hotel room, they will then try to collect from the employees at Columbia Ultimate Connections!

2007-04-30 20:42:27 UTCACSI-Collec....

I don't believe the caller is really in Oregon. Certainly 503-000-0000 is not a valid number.

I believe I have found the caller is this company acsi-collections.com

Their software supplier is a company called Columbia Ultimate Business Systems columbiaultimate.com and their software is called CUBS. How do I know this? From here:
acsi-collections.com

It's the software company that is really making your life miserable with auto dialers, analyzing your personal data, and tracking you down when you move.

2007-04-22 21:07:24 UTCKim

They call every other Sunday and leave a message to call the toll free no. I am not calling back. Did anyone recieve any letters from these folks verifying the debt. As far as swearing over the phone at people, these folks sound as if they are not on the up and up. Go to Budd Hibbs.com and drop an email about these people. They have a list of all of the bad collection agencies that exist today. Many collection activities are illegal, such as swearing at the customer, threatening court action (when in most cases they do not intend to do) they cannot threaten you with arrest, or contact numerous third parties about your debt. some of these "nice folks" have done these things and sometimes worse.

2007-04-19 20:33:01 UTCRTM

This call comes through repeatedly. I finally answered it and pressed '0' It just rang and rang and rang. Who knows?

This is a debt collection agency (i called back on that 1866 number), they asked for my phone number n asked if my name was Kathy. I said 'yes' to see where it was going. Verified my street address, which was incorrect at which time the rep said "Sorry our mistake" and left it at that. We'll see if any further calls come in.

2007-01-22 12:00:07 UTCtechWr

This is a debt collection agency (i called back on that 1866 number), they asked for my phone number n asked if my name was Sarah. I said 'yes' to see where it was going. Out came details of some AT&T bill dues of $200 something, n then i finally interrupted n said I wsn't Sarah. The guy said this was misrepresentation and was illegal, I told him he hadn't verified my last name, neither asked for identity confirmation. So he had no basis to accuse. He then started to blurt out obsceneties, while I was grinning.
I was happy the roles were reversed, for a change!!!

Caller said that in order to avoid further attempts to contact me, I should call back during business hours. The number she left was 866-637-1808, but my caller ID showed OUT OF AREA, 503-000-0000. The message was received 10/30/06.

2006-10-13 19:50:54 UTCTT

The message was cut off at first but the last of it said "...important personal business. To avoid further attempts to reach you, call 866-637-1808." When I called there was lovely music (no ringing), and then it asked that I leave a message, with no company name ever mentioned. How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
